- Laura (10/5): - The room was lovely, with a nice private terrace. Guesthouse Fortyfour is in the middle of the walled city, so it was a busy area with loud music from a nearby bar at night. The windows are well sound-proofed, which helps! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Thank you to the Guesthouse team!

- Michelle (10/5): - A charming guesthouse in the old town, walled city of Dubrovnik. It's an old stone building so no lifts, but staff were most helpful with carrying our luggages up to our rooms. The hotel restaurant is also excellent and stylish.
- Ellen (10/5): - This hotel is beautiful and in the center of Old Town Dubrovnik. Rooms are spotless, spacious, and very modern. We loved the breakfasts in the morning, and received 5-star service from everyone who works there. The manager not only arranged transportation but also walked us and our luggage to the main gate to ensure our driver was there. My only suggestion would be to bring earplugs as the bars near the hotel can get loud on weekend nights but it was fine once I put my earplugs in. Other than that, it was a perfect choice and plan to go back.

Guesthouse Forty-Four is located in the center of old town which was a perfect location for us. Stan met us outside the gates and carried our bags to the hotel, checked us in and served us our first glass of wine. Everyone we met at the hotel was friendly and professional. We would definitely highly recommend this place. Thanks for making our visit wonderful!

You are family when you are there. Breakfast is outstanding and the rooms are great! A special shout out to Stan! He went way above what we asked him to do and made our stay incredibly special.

He helped us to park car, what is a most difficult task in city like Dubrovnik!!!! Quality of bedding, food etc. etc. is a topnotch . I will recommend this place to everyone and to all of my friends!

The location is right in the centre of the old town so was very convenient and the premises were very clean and comfortable. However, most of all the customer service is outstanding with all staff members going the extra mile to welcome us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Special shoutout to Stan who was so lovely and really made us feel right at home. This was the best service I have experienced anywhere. Additionally I would recommend eating at their restaurant which has some of the tastiest food in the old town - 10/10 would recommend the pistachio cheesecake and black ravioli. We both died and went to heaven!

- Kristin C Theut (10/5): - Awesome, unique boutique hotel right in the heart of old town. There are only about 5 rooms in this hotel, so the staff knows you and treats you like family. They took care of every need with a smile and a laugh. Damir, Stan, and the other guys were great to us.
- Lauren (10/5): - We LOVED this hotel. It was small and intimate but filled with a modern design style and clean accommodations. Tucked away on a street the old town within the walls, it provided a quiet and convenient location. The breakfasts were to die for with eggs, bread, fruit and meat and cheese plates, but they offered gluten free bread for an allergy. The Glow room (smallest of those offered) was bigger than I expected, comfortably fitting two large bags. But the best part was the service - the team was exceptional. From being welcomed, to serving us at dinner and breakfast and making recommendations. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The manager and the staff treated us like family during our six day stay, nothing was too much trouble. The manager even invited us to his 40th Birthday. My wife and I have travelled for many years now and have stayed at some wonderful hotels throughout the world however the staff at Guesthouse Forty Four made our stay memorable and I would have to put this guesthouse at the top of my list of places to stay. The room we stayed in had all expected amenities and was clean and comfortable. The Resteraunt run by the guesthouse is excellent and the food is well priced and the staff make the dining experience one to remember. We are already planning a return visit. As for Dubrovnik old town, it is like being in a fairytale City…..

He welcomed us by inviting us to the GMs 40 birthday party and provided a lunch for us to take on an early morning excursion that required us to leave before breakfast was served. - Brian (10/5): - We were meet by the Manager Damir at the city gates as no cars are allowed into Dubrovnik old town. He was so welcoming and maid us feel relaxed straight from the initial meeting. He took time to introduce us to his staff and invited us to a family party. The guest house is immaculate and so well maintained, it is in the old part of town well located close to the city walls and the harbour. 10 out of 10 for everything so far.

Before we even arrived we had communication from the manager asking if we needed anything special as well as offering service to be picked up. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly, welcoming and helpful manor which continued with every interaction The manager Demir was beyond accommodating and literally made us feel like one of his family. The staff including David, Dinko, Luka, Greg were all friendly and helpful with every and all requests The property was conveniently located in the Old City giving easy access to all our activities. The room was comfortable, very clean and more than adequate. The breakfasts were good and served to order and also had 1 excellent dinner in the restaurant as well. Would highly recommend this property
- Vishal (10/5): - Damir and the rest of the staff here were very accommodating and friendly! The room was clean, decorated in a tasteful manner with modern furniture and premium bath products. The property is central to all things in the Old Town area. For no good reason I was skeptical at the time of booking but from the moment I stepped through the restaurant doors and walked up to the room, I knew this was the right decision - and indeed it was!
- Dana (6/5): - The property was not really what I expected. Scheduling a private transfer from the airport was challenging. The driver was not easily seen,held a small piece of paper up for my name. I spent 20 min on the phone back n forth with the hotel. The staff was definitely frustrated as was I, but better planning and communication should have happened. once i arrived at the hotel, the staff was nicer and helpful. My transfer back to the airport should have been at the hotels expense considering the first one. The room was fine, outdated for sure. The bed was really hard and the pillows were flat. Breakfast in the morning, i am not sure what it was. I only looked 1x and i saw cereal? But i never planned to eat it anyway. You can hear people above you in the room, but not too bad other than that the area is quiet. You do get multiple actual keys for the hotel. For a man, im not sure how they would carry in their pockets. getting into the place locking and unlocking is a bit of a hassle but you get use to it.

- Richard (10/5): - Lovely property right in the busy centre of the old town of Dubrovnik. All the rooms have been renovated to a very high standard, all in a different style. The hotel also has a high standard restaurant which many people appear to enjoy. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and eager to offer advice on how best to visit the city. The only disappointment was breakfast which really appeared to be an afterthought. Our friendly waiter had to run round the corner to a local bakery to buy us bread or a croissant, well short of the sort of luxurious buffet continental breakfast you would expect in a boutique hotel of this standard. I truly hope they sort this.

All the Staff are especially attentive, personable and there to assist when needed. Only 5 Hotel rooms in this hotel. Ours was fairly large with an excellent bathroom.
- Steven (10/5): - The rooms are clean, modern and quiet. There are steep stairs, but staff will carry your bags up and down for you. The location and is outstanding — you’re steps from everything! If you’re flying in to Dubrovnik, let the guesthouse arrange the airport transfer — they’ll meet the car at the gate to the city (the Old Town is pedestrian-only) and carry your bags from the gate to the guesthouse. Staff will make breakfast to order for you in the morning. I would definitely stay here, again!

- Ming Nu (10/5): Excellent service, beautiful hotel - The team Mario, Danny, Martin and David were excellent. They were very accomodating and made me as a solo female traveller feel safe. And you're in the heart of old town. My room had a beautiful terrace as well, great for drinking tea and listening to a podcast in the sunny weather. Breakfast is provided and they cater to your preffered coffee. Highly rcommended.

- Georgette (10/5): - My husband and I were so happy we found this boutique hotel. Staff, restaurant and location was beyond our expectations.
- Doug (6/5): - This is a tough one. Really liked the hotel room and property and, of course, Dubrovnik was beautiful but the stay started and ended poorly. We arrived without directions to find the hotel. Thankfully Old Town isn’t too big and so with the half an hour of wandering around we found out where the property was. There was nobody there so we took our luggage to the restaurant and had a pizza. While we were there, we got an email from the front desk at 44 asking when we were going to arrive. When we got there, the front desk person was not in good humour and obviously very sick. My wife and i are seniors and we had a really bad experience a few years ago in France. The person who was organizing the morning breakfast was sick and the next day we both were. We had more travelling to do and eventually ended up with pneumonia. Needless to say we were alarmed when this person at 44 was handling our passports and showing us things in our room while she was not feeling well. We could hear her coughing and sneezing throughout our stay and even saw her working at the restaurant one night. I have sympathy for those who are sick and maybe have to work but why not wear a mask to protect vulnerable guests who are staying with you. Finally when we went to pay at checkout her credit card machine didn’t work and she insisted that our credit cards were the problem. After long phone calls back home we determined that the cards were fine and the machine was, in fact, the problem.
- Reena (10/5): Relaxing stay - We had such a pleasant trip because this place was so relaxing. Beautiful rooms, very modern but with the old stonework. Balcony was nice, bathroom as perfect, everything was kept very clean. Breakfast was also very much appreciated esp next to the sea!

- Kenneth (10/5): - Our room (#3 on second floor) was extremely quiet, overlooking a courtyard rather than a street. Nice close-up view of the Serbian Orthodox Church across a small alley. It's a very small hotel so services in the lobby have limited hours; but the staff is wonderfully helpful. No vehicles are allowed inside the city wall, but it's an easy 5-miinute walk from the Pile Gate, with ramps and smooth pavements for rolling luggage. This part of the Old Town has a really nice historic feel. The room itself is spacious, very clean, and convenient.
- Sarah (10/5): Charming hotel in the heart of old town Dubrovnik - Great place to stay within the walled old city of Dubrovnik. It is close to everything, but also amazingly quiet at night. The rooms do require you to climb some stairs, but if you don't want to climb steps, old town Dubrovnik is not the place to visit. The room was charming, spacious and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

- Joseph (10/5): - Fabulous property! The place was in a convenient spot right inside the Old Town. Close to everything. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and greeted you whenever they saw you. The on site restaurant was excellent for dinner. The breakfast restaurant was just across the way again very good! We stayed here in August for a few days and we had an amazing stay here. There is no parking so don’t plan coming by car it is very very limited outside the Historical area!

In the old city, access to many inns and apartments are up a steeps hills with lots of steps, 44 is level entry. (there are stairs inside the property to get to rooms). nice upscale restaurant that serves more non-typical fare. staff was very friendly. the in-room safe needs to be replaced or fixed.

The staff are wonderful, friendly and so so helpful with excursions and advice about the area. Would highly recommend this property! Be sure to eat at their restaurant, food and staff wonderful!

The hospitality team were impeccably polite and made us feel extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional breakfast! Highly recommended.
