Guest Reviews
- Azzopardi (7/5): - Cosy room No hot water in the shower ,
- Santoro (9/5): - Ottima la stanza, letto comodissimo e abbiamo trovato tutto pulito. Facilissimo accedere. Posizione eccezionale.

- Quinn (10/5): - I loved the whole thing, we had troubles with our door at first but it was my fault for not checking in early, we had the kindest man help us alongside the actual building owner. The man was our translator for about 25 minutes and both of them stayed with us helping us until we managed to get it figured out. The property owner and whoever that random fella was, was truly so kind as we had just landed and are of course not from there. We had hospitality at its finest and the hiccup at the beginning was only 45 mins long and it was fixed in an instant once I checked in (my fault I know.)
The bed was extremely comfortable the room was extremely clean, and the area we were in was extremely nice, more of a posh area but we just lucked out price wise and with the area.
10/10 would reccomend if booking a month or so in advance Opening the window at night had noise but other then that really no issues, you’re extremely safe as carabineri stations are all along the strip, I never felt safer.
- Lydia (1/5): - It was one of our worst experiences ! I will not suggest to anyone to live in this apartment! We were standing out of the house and no one help us to go inside ! The distractions were so confused..it was like escape room ! And we were trying to call someone and they told us to send them emails !
The quilt was dirty …

- Harvey (8/5): - Good location and comfortable room. Check in was a bit of a pain and quite unorganised as they were late coming back with keys but once we were in it was a good experience
- Karolina (9/5): -
- Anna (7/5): -
- Aleksandra (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not good - I had specifically asked abt Wi-Fi service and especially air conditioning. The property confirmed both yet the WiFi service was extremely poor, and while the unit was equipped with air conditioner, the temperature in the unit never dropped below 31 degrees C (85+ F).
- Erdinc (8/5): Very good -
- Gayane (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, close to metro, safe building. The room was clean.
We walked to the main landmarks like Collosseum and Trevi Fountain. The air-conditioning wasn’t working properly. The device was under a drawer and blew cold air which didn’t change the temperature in the room. The fan didn’t work either. The apartment was extremely hot.
- Jessica (4/5): At least the location is convenient. - The location was the saving grace of this place for us. It was very convenient to walk to/from Termini or the metro, so we could easily spend our time literally anywhere other than the room (the Grey Room in our case). Which is what we did. Is there a room? Yes. It is not the type of space you will want to spend much time in though. The bed takes up a lot of the space (it is rickety and too soft), and so does the wardrobe (which comes with a strange smell). There is a fridge, but it was hidden behind a curtain in an alcove under the window. Moving that curtain reveals mold spots growing up the wall and along the ceiling. The shower is the same; it exists, you get hot water, but you should be prepared to see mold when you move the doors or look too hard at the cracks between tiles (we saw another guest mention a “dirty” bathroom and now we understand what they meant). The apartment will also be very hot and humid (hence mold). Opening the windows means loud street noise and mosquitoes, so you have to depend on the small ac unit (it tried).
As for the checkin experience, we did actually have some time just sitting wondering if we got scammed. I was told we would be contacted by WhatsApp by the employee designated to give us keys. They never messaged, so when we were nearing Rome I messaged on Booking to see what was happening. After some time, we made it to the listed address and were sitting around waiting. I tried calling the number on booking. No answer. Then they messaged me an employee’s number to message, but that number also did not answer calls and sent an automated text in response to mine which said they were busy and shouldn’t be bothered. After a little more sitting and wondering what to do a man appeared and asked if we were waiting for him. We asked if he was there for Guest House Sallustiano. He said no. However, he then gave his name and it turned out he was who we were waiting for. We carried our bags up to the next floor (there is an elevator, but it does not stop at this level) and he sped through. He told me the door code once, handed us the keys, said not to wait for him to check out, and then left. Other communications from the company also left a little something to be desired.
- Antonio (7/5): Good - Quite zone close to bus and metro Small room, hot water not immediately available
- Natalia (7/5): Good - The host was good, the room was recently rennovated and we had our own fridge. The size of the room was bigger than we expected from the photos. The guest house was like a big apartment with individual bedrooms and private bathroom for each beadroom. It felt safe at night. The room at first looked clean but then we saw some dirt at the bathtub and in the furniture. We had to use cleaning wipes at the bathroom
- Michael (5/5): Location nice easy to get around. Advertisement looked as if private kitchen. Turns out to be a room with bath in a shar - Location to train station and bakery. Had a clothes washer and dryer. Shared area includes the kitchen and coffee pot
- Noel (2/5): Very poor -
- Alice (8/5): Very good -
- Sanja (1/5): Bad - The location was convenient, which was the one positive aspect. Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t as expected. The TV was not working, and despite reaching out to the host multiple times, we didn’t receive a response. Additionally, the bathroom, linens, and towels were not as clean as we would have hoped. The location was convenient, which was the one positive aspect. However, the lack of communication and cleanliness left us disappointed overall.
- Delia (6/5): Pleasant - I liked the location and it was clean. There was also a little communal kitchen, which we didn't use though. Communication with the location was alright. I was not there at the moment of checking in, therefore cannot say anything about the friendliness.
There were restaurants and cafes in walking distance. The bed was very squeaky with a very soft mattress. Every time I moved, the entire bed moved too. It was clean, but the extra blankets in the wardrobe had a terrible smell.
With the name "guesthouse" I expected there to be a reception and so on. Maybe this was my wrong assumption... It was basically an apartment that was separated into individual rooms with bathrooms. We couldn't leave our luggage and there was no cleaning service during the stay. Cleaning only happened after checking out.
Not bad but not great either.
- Lorena (3/5): Poor -
- Daniel (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nicole (7/5): Good -
- Zantedeschi (7/5): Good -
- Alina (8/5): Nice place in a good location - It was well located, properly equipped and comfortable. I would stay here again. We enjoyed it overall very much. On the first night the bed was being way to flexible and was difficult to sleep. But on the second day someone came and fixed it, which was great.
- Mark (8/5): Luca was great. Would recommend and stay again. - Location was excellent.
- Daniela (7/5): Good - There's no self checkin, you have to pay an extra €30 if you can't arrive before 9pm.
- Valeria (4/5): Disappointing -
- Katfr5 (5/5): Passable - The best thing about this apartment complex is that it is very conveniently located very close to the termini train station and fontana di Trevi, as well as a metro station just 400 meters away Though newly renovated the room needs better cleaning before having a new guest checked in. The walls were too dirty full of shoe marks and stains. The bathroom was poorly cleaned when we checked in, the toiletries provided for 3 nights was a hair n body sample size sachet. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The shared entrance and kitchen space always smells like sewage.
- Izhaak (5/5): Passable - Location, checkin , bed comfort Stained bed sheets and blankets
- Daisy (8/5): Very good - The location was good and within walking distance of all major attractions. The bed was comfy and the check in process was easy. The bathroom was clean and the room was pretty quiet, staff were friendly. The curtains did not block out the light - nothing a good sleep mask can't fix. The hot water did go off at one point but we sent a text to the staff who fixed it very quickly so this was not a problem for us.
- Anastasiia (10/5): Exceptional - location and the girl who checked us in The photos of the room do not match the photos on the website in terms of repairs! The brush in the toilet was covered in 💩 and I didn’t take any photos. There is black male body hair on the white bed, Bathroom sink doesn't flush well, there is dust on the bedside tables, the sound insulation is poor, we could hear all the neighbors' conversations perfectly!
- Hiroki (8/5): Very good - the location and the staff. the room is pretty clean. there is no good connection to the elevator. so if you have heaver things, be aware with it.
- Igor (8/5): Very good -
- Jairrah (6/5): Pleasant - location was really good, communication was strong and the hosts were very helpful. our flight got delayed so we needed to arrange for a last minute late check in and they were happy to accommodate (even though we still had to pay an extra 30euros) bathroom sink was blocked, our room was near the laundry room and other guests loved to use the washing machine and dryer around midnight so it was very noisy. every morning, someone set the door alarm off because they didn’t know how to use it properly and it was very loud. walls are paper thin.
- Leila (7/5): Good -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brindley (8/5): Very good -
- Franco (7/5): Good - The location was great The mattress and the sheets were old. The air condition did not work. There was no tv channels in English. The cloths dryer did not work. The room was warm and we couldn’t open the window because of the excessive noise coming from the Main Street.
They also charged me more of the agreed for the cleaning of the unit.
- Paulina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aga (9/5): Superb - Everything in the apartment was great.
The Check-in time was exactly and the person was very nice.
The room was clean, air conditioning worked well, and there are cutlery and a microwave in the shared kitchen.
When I asked them to bring a chair, they responded quickly and solved the problem soon.
The neighborhood can also find some local cafes, pizzeria, restaurants, and supermarkets (my recommendation is "50 Kalo" and "La Locanda di Bacco").
The nearest station is "Reppublica" on Metro line A, but you can easily walk from the Termini station. Nothing!
- Nadia (2/5): Bad - The location isn’t bad. They charge you €30 extra if you arrive after 9 pm and they increase it €10 if it is after 12 am. We arrived at 00:10 because our flight was delayed (and they knew it) but still charged us €40, for the 10 min past 00:00. The sheets were dirty with blood stains and soundproofing is quite poor. We could hear the people next bedroom talking and the noise from the streets.
- Bruno (6/5): Nice location, nice room but…… - The location is close to the Termini train station where you can connect directly to Fiumicino airport. Perfect. At the same time it is in comfortable walking distance from Trevi and the many nice restaurants that is around the Trevi Fountain.
Our room was directly to the main street and the windows are not noise cancelling in any way. So be prepared for a lot of noise 24/7. The house itself makes noises so you really must be a city person to deal with it.
The room was nice, bathroom very nice too and beds are comfortable. It is a little tricky to find the place and get in and out of the building but it provides some security in itself.
It is definately not the cheapest place to stay and you will be charged 28 € extra for cleaning. However there was no cleaning at all in the 4 days we stayed there. Towels got used a lot when we walked 8-15 km every day in the sun, and when we saw a cleaning person doing another room we asked for fresh towels which was denied in an unpleasent way.
Botton line : Good location, no service a lot of noise and a nice room. In total it seemed a little pricy…
