Ulrich (10/5): - Nach einer Woche mitten im Wahnsinn des District 1 wollte ich etwas ruhiger wohnen, ohne dafür eine Niere auf dem freien Markt verkaufen zu müssen. Also landete ich im Saigon Garden Hill Apartment. Und selten war „vernünftige Entscheidung“ so wenig spektakulär und gleichzeitig so angenehm. 🏙️ Der Check-in außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten funktioniert erstaunlich reibungslos. Pass beim Sicherheitsdienst vorzeigen, bezahlen, Schlüssel bekommen und anschließend wird man sogar noch bis zum Apartment begleitet. In vielen Hotels dieser Welt endet der Service ungefähr dort, wo ein Mensch „Google it yourself“ murmelt und verschwindet. Die Apartments sind schlicht eingerichtet, aber genau richtig: sauber, gepflegt, Küchenzeile, Kühlschrank, vernünftige begehbare Dusche und sogar ein Mini-Balkon. Raucher müssen also nicht nachts im Schlafanzug vor dem Gebäude stehen wie ausgestoßene Waschbären. Vor dem Haus gibt es einen Pool mit getrenntem Schwimmer- und Nichtschwimmerbereich. Sehr optimistisch geplant, wenn man bedenkt wie viele Touristen sich nach drei Cocktails plötzlich für Michael Phelps halten. Außerdem Fitnessraum im Erdgeschoss für Menschen mit Disziplin und funktionierendem Lebenskonzept. Ich habe ihn respektvoll ignoriert. Das eigentliche Highlight ist allerdings Than. Ob Manager, Concierge, Problemlöser oder heimlicher Bürgermeister von Ho-Chi-Minh-City weiß ich nicht genau. Der Mann organisiert innerhalb gefühlter Minuten einen Roller, gibt ehrliche Nicht-Touristen-Tipps für HCMC, Can Tho oder Chau Doc und liest Wünsche teilweise schneller aus dem Gesicht als man sie selbst formulieren kann. Besonders stark: der Laundry-Service. Schnell, zuverlässig und bei längeren Aufenthalten teilweise sogar kostenlos. Ein faszinierendes Konzept, nachdem ich zuvor im La Vela für ungefähr den Gegenwert eines Kleinwagens 70k VND pro Kilo Wäsche bezahlen durfte, obwohl das Zimmer dort vier Millionen pro Nacht kostet.

Nen thay nệm khác. Quan trọng nhất là giấc ngủ. Cả đêm 2 người k ngủ đc, mất tinh thần vui chơi.
