• Maria (1/5): Unfit to host humans. The manager is very unprofessional, rude and an expert in gaslighting - The location The rooms have no windows. There is a tiny 12 inch wide window that hardly opens and is looking at a brick wall 7 inches behind. You can’t tell if it’s day or night. The rooms are terribly small. If you like tiny rooms with no windows and no fresh air, this is for you.

The A/C was very noisy They write breakfast included, but you cannot call it a breakfast, just some cookies and coffee. The hotel is not 4 stars at all, faaar not 4 stars.

• Alan (3/5): The most uncomfortable bed in any hotel I have ever stayed in. - The location and customer service. The bed was so firm and felt like a box spring. I had to ask for a pillow top but that only marginally helped. The elevator is old and slow. The breakfast pastries looked lame and there weren't napkins provided. There was no view - which was expected, but not even an interior courtyard view; we looked at a brick wall. Given the price with taxes and fees ran to about $500, this was a terrible experience.

• Leslie (8/5): Great location, friendly staff, great value. - Very central location. Very close to the R subway from the airport. Was easy to take the bus / R subway all the way from LGA to hotel. Cost all of $3! Staff were friendly, Liked the cozy area for coffee and pastries in the morning. Room was big and nicely designed. Good work space. This hotel was a great value for the area it was in. Big construction next door so room was a bit noisy. No local gym. They offered one at a sister hotel but it wasn’t very good.

• Mikey (9/5): - The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Jerry and Andy were both lovely. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was so comfortable... I had a really good sleep. The pastries on offer in the morning is a nice touch along with the 24/7 coffee and tea in the guest lounge.

We were in town to see the Stephen Colbert show and it was literally a three minute walk away. Just a few blocks from Central Park. Several subway stations within a two minute walk. An easy stroll to Times Square. Many many restaurants nearby. Just a gem! I have no complaints.

Pas de service particulier mais pas de chichi n’ont plus pour ce qui veulent juste un endroit pour dormir et se poser c’est top. Pizzeria et moyen de faire des courses pour rzduire un peu les couts de restauration. Il y a dans l’espace cafe table et boisson schaude a volonte. Avec un micro onde pour rechauffer des plats si besoin, pratique. Lenperit dej dis occidentale, c’est en fait quelques viennoiserie poser sur la table mais bon ca fait l’affaire avant de partir visiter. L’ascznceur un peu lent mais bon on est en vacances rien de dramatique

• Emmanuel (6/5): Plutôt négatif étant donner l absence de petit déjeuner et les travaux en cours - L hôtel était très bien placé et la chambre était spacieuse. Le fait que nous n avions pas été prévenu que l hôtel était en plein travaux de ravalement avec des ouvriers qui travaillaient devant nos fenêtres. Nous devions donc laisser les rideaux fermés. Le plus important était que la nuit d hôtel était vendu avec un petit déjeuner, ce qui n était pas le cas. Nous avions accès à une guest room das laquelle il y avait une machine à café et il restait des miettes de croissant dans une assiette. Il n y avait personne de l hôtel pour recharger…. Nous avons donc du petit déjeuner à l extérieur…. Enfin le roof top n était pas accessible à cause des travaux. Cela fait beaucoup!!!

Would not recommend. - Location Tired decor, small room, window was shaded by a brick wall literally 15 to 20 feet away. You could hear pigeons almost all the time. • M4382EHjohnl (8/5): Cute and clean hotel in Central Manhattan on a Budget - Just a few blocks away from subway entrances this hotel is very central to everything in Manhattan. The lobby has warm and welcoming vibe and the staff are friendly and helpful. There were no issues with noise from other guests or anything going on outside of the hotel either. The guest lobby is nice if you want to sit down and play some games they provide or just to relax and watch TV. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is pretty great too. Even though check-in is at 3 we arrived hours earlier and intended to leave our luggage while we went to eat and explore, but Keenan was able to get us into our room right away which was very much appreciated. We had a standard room which is just big enough for a king sized bed, small chair, and small desk. No complaints about the room size though as it was adequate for the few nights we were staying. The room had a bit of weird smell, but it wasn't unpleasant necessarily, but it was strong. If you are looking for a room to stay for a few nights or a week, want friendly service, and a good location I would recommend giving this place a chance. Special shout out to Keenan for the early check in, and sending champagne and chocolates up for my birthday free of charge. He really went the extra mile there.

• Sarah (9/5): Great location and clean, comfortable hotel - Location can’t be beat. Staff is so nice and welcoming and I like that there is daily housekeeping. This is our 3rd time at this hotel. I also like that there is a lounge with coffee and tea and a place to enjoy takeout food. Breakfast is a nice perc and hotel is generally pretty quiet Hard to understand heating and cooling. First night the heat went up to 85 degrees! Turned it off and used AC window unit only after that. Mattress was a bit saggy, room quite small and it’s so close to building next to it that the room seems dark even in the middle of a sunny day.

Compared to online photos, the decor looked tired and worn with peeling wall paper, chipped furniture, & chipped paint. BUT, our stay at this hotel was WONDERFUL. Service members were all FRIENDLY and MAGNIFICENT. From the front desk to house cleaning, each member went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and showing concern and compassion for my teen when she didn't feel well. The room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The light breakfast each morning and 24-hr access to great coffee, tea, and filtered water were a treat. The location is superb. We highly recommend the Moderne Hotel NYC and would certainly book here again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Not having a window to look out of in my room felt a little strange at first but I know that's common in NYC. The bedroom and bathroom were very modern and well taken care of. My only complaint was the bed was very hard and would have been nice to have a mattress topper to allow for more comfort. I loved that there was a window air vent unit as it was convenient for white noise and allowed for better air ventilation. I found the hotel very quiet while and overall a very comfortable stay for a fair price. Oh, and the location is fantastic!!

• Ann (10/5): Moderne in NYC - Location was perfect for getting to see the city. Hotel was clean and a good breakfast to start the day. It was also great to be able to have tea/coffee in the residents lounge anytime during the day. The staff were so very friendly and helpful especially Gerry and Andy. My husband and I enjoyed having chats with them in the evenings and getting them to listen to Irish traditional music 🎶 We would definitely recommend this boutique style hotel.
• reynask (10/5): Great location, friendly and helpful staff and easy access to subway system. - The hotel is in a very prime location in the Theater District and within walking distance to many key areas and subway stations. Nocello and McGee’s Pub are two excellent places for food and drink and are just adjacent to the hotel. Save yourself some money and use the subway. Getting to LGA is relatively simple—just a short walk to the 7th Street Station to board the E train (and the subway now takes Apple Pay!). The staff at the hotel are super friendly and helpful, always greeting customers with a smile. There is construction happening in the area and the construction work starts around 7am. We were already up and about so the timing didn’t bother us. The mattresses are super firm, but I learned that the hotel may be able to accommodate guests if they prefer something a little softer. I would definitely recommend this hotel. This was my second visit to this hotel within a year

• giuliarL1663UY (10/5): Great hotel, highly recommended. - We had a truly wonderful time here at the hotel. All guys (Derek) were always friendly and helpful, and Jerry always had a joke ready. The beds were heavenly, and the location was perfect, within walking distance of Broadway and the subway nearby.
• Sonja (9/5): We would definitely return! Great location and awesome staff! - The hotel is located in an excellent area with a great Irish Pub and an Italian Restaurant next door. Subway train stations are within an easy walk, too. The hotel staff is awesome. They are friendly and helpful. There is some construction going on near the property so it can be a little noisy during the day. The bed mattress was extra firm and a little uncomfortable. So, if you like a softer mattress, be sure to ask at the desk. They may be able to accommodate your request!

• 100w0rldtrav3l3r (10/5): The one spot you wish you didn’t overlook. - What a diamond in the rough! It felt like it was home as soon as I stepped through the entrance. The staff is top notch (Andy and Jerry, most importantly), and the rooms are phenomenal. Location is perfect.

Staff was friendly, and helpful. The breakfast / coffee room could've been better. It had lots of potential, tho no music, cold drinks or snacks made it feel incomplete

• martincL5468PE (10/5): Comfortable Stay Steps from Central Park - I stayed at Hotel Moderne during my trip to New York and had a great experience. The location is amazing — it’s super close to Central Park and Times Square, so getting around and exploring the city was really easy. A special shoutout to Keenan, who welcomed us in an incredible way and made the check-in feel really warm and easy.

Varios días bajando a las 9:00 9:30 no había nada. Por lo que no deberían promocionar como “desayuno incluido” Debería tener disponible hasta el horario convenido y más variedad de productos.
• 834junej (6/5): Fab location, decent room, one standout staff member! - The location of the Moderne was excellent. Andy at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and kind. My friends and I were disappointed about the breakfast situation (advertised as coffee and pasties from 7-10 daily) when we noticed that there were zero breakfast items and no milk by 8:30 and told by a rather crotchety female staff member that "it's first come, first serve...once we're out, we're out." Later that evening, once we shared the situation with Andy, we noticed improvements the very next day. He also helped us sort out room bookings after travel cancellations due to the blizzard. As visiting tourists stuck in the NY winter storm, it was comforting to have someone responding quickly to our concerns - thank you, Andy!

• J3917TXshelleym (10/5): Our fav hotel in the city - This quaint hotel is a true gem! The spacious room & location couldn’t have been better. The cherry on top was Jerry & Andy who have as much charm and character as the hotel itself. Needless to say, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

• Nerea (8/5): - La ubicación del hotel es excepcional. Cerca de Times Square, Broadway y Central park. La gente del hotel súper amable y dispuestos a ayudar en todo momento. Hotel pequeño, pero con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días y poder explorar NYC. El precio del alojoamiento incluye desayuno, pero en realidad es un salón donde puedes tomar un café y algunas pastas que proporcionan a diario. No es un desayuno como tal. Es una especie de obsequio del hotel.

Zero score for hospitality because i wanted to shorten my stay as my son back home got sick. I asked if they can cancel the 2nd day booking as I have to leave earlier under these exceptional circumstances. The hotel still refused to accommodate and decided to charge me anyway.

• Aleksandr (7/5): Нормально, для пары дней подойдёт - Хороший, чистый, просторный номер Локация более чем пара станций метро рядом, до парка пешком можно дойти, как и до мома. Есть несколько хороших точек по еде в округе Персонал был любезен. Вот wi-fi тут откровенно слабое место. Медленный, часто обрывался. Словом создавал проблемы в зуме Завтрак декларируется, но на самом деле его нет. Кофе и кекс (если достанется) на завтрак не тянут

Non si può dire colazione inclusa quando essa è inesistente anche se vai alle 7 di mattina, stanza poco insonorizzate, si sente molto cosa succede nei corridoi e sopra la camera
• Svetlana (9/5): - We stayed at The Modern in New York. The location is excellent, and having parking nearby was very convenient. The rooms are small but clean and cozy, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was included but only muffins, so not much variety. Also, the heater was very loud at night during winter, and nothing could be done about it. Overall, the location is the biggest advantage of this hotel.
• Jilliann (10/5): This property exceeded our expectations. - We loved everything! The room we stayed in was much larger than I had expected and the location was quiet and safe. It was located close to a train station and that made getting anywhere we wanted easy. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We had no issues with the elevator being slow. Nothing.
• Andrea (4/5): Soggiorno a New York sotto la neve! - Posizione centralissima, camera piccola ma completa di tutto il necessario Praticamente senza finestra (solo una in un cavedio strettissimo), era come stare sotto terra in un bunker, ma soprattutto il wc non funzionava e si è completamente otturato ben due volte nel giro di 4 notti; la prima volta è successo il secondo giorno, hanno ripulito ma il giorno dopo si è di nuovo completamente otturato, segno di un problema strutturale importante! Inoltre era prevista la colazione inclusa nel prezzo ma era praticamente inesistente, due dolcetti (immangiabili) e una macchinetta per caffè (scadente) in una stanzetta piccola che doveva servire tutto l’hotel!

• jtsnj (10/5): Wonderful experience! - Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Parking (next door) was easy & cheap, as promised. Location was exactly where we wanted to be. Front desk personnel were very helpful. We'll be back with my CA relatives!
• clairemP6666IX (6/5): It was fine. - It was fine, but neither the room nor the lounge were as nice as described on the website. Additionally, the Wi-Fi didn’t work and the room was boiling, even when we tried to use the AC. The staff were very friendly and the location was good, but nothing about the place really stood out, and there are better places for a similar price.
• Marco (4/5): - Posizione é unica nota positiva, Hotel non 4 STELLE!!! il letto con una base in legno da impalcature malamente pitturato di bianco, neanche in un ostello credo abbiano letti cosi’ scadenti. Colazione assolutamente scadente, male, inutile, da non prendere in considerazione, pulizia appena sufficiente, una volta abbiamo trovato asciugamani con macchie e altro con peli.
