- Tina (8/5): - well located in ximending and close to the metro, but on a quieter street which was appreciated for sleeping at night. appreciated the unlimited drinks and snacks in the lobby which helped when i woke up at 4 am with jet lag and hungry. staff was helpful when needed. bathtub in the room helpful for soaking after long walks bed was too firm for my comfort and housekeeping sometimes wouldn’t come until very late (i would leave in the morning for hours but sometimes after returning at 4 pm my room still wasn’t cleaned). bathtub/shower inevitably sprays water outside the bathtub because there is no barrier. toilet paper single ply. no blackout curtains. agree with the reviews that signage to the hotel could be better

- Stepmos (9/5): Stylisches Highlight direkt am Night Market - Unschlagbare Lage: Das Hotel liegt direkt am Night Market. Perfekt, um sich abends durch die Streetfood-Stände zu probieren, ohne weite Wege zu haben. Interessanter Style: Das Design des Hotels ist wirklich mal etwas anderes – sehr detailverliebt, modern und mit einem ganz eigenen Charakter. Top Service: Dass Wasser und Snacks kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt werden, ist ein fantastischer Bonus und macht den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm Das Zimmer war zwar etwas klein, aber dafür sauber und effizient eingerichtet. Für Reisende, die tagsüber die Stadt erkunden wollen, ist es ideal. Fazit: Ein charmantes Hotel mit viel Persönlichkeit. Wer Wert auf Lage und Stil legt, ist im Cho 3 bestens aufgehoben!

The rooms were great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus the free food and drinks at the lobby were a bonus. We didn't have to buy water and sodas 'coz they were free! This is our second stay at Cho Hotel, and we would definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Taiwan. Our room had a bathtub/shower combo with shower curtains. It was a little tricky getting in and out of the tub and you could potentially slip and fall if you are not careful. It's a freestanding tub so you will get the floor around it wet while taking a shower since the curtains only block 1 side. When the floor gets wet, the tub sometimes moves from it's place.

- kim (9/5): Great hotel when staying for short time in Taipei! - Location is great. Rooms are small but convenient. Staff is amazing. Little extra what was very nice, was the free drinks and some snacks you could take from the fridge. Overall we enjoyed our stay! AC might be serviced in some rooms. Our room (first room in the hallway on the left, next to kitchen) was a little damp and air that came out of our AC smelt weird. But kids had a room at the end of the hallway which was in perfect condition!

In a cool area. The wifi for me was really really bad, almost unusable. The desk didn’t have much useful advice for this. There are also a lot of really bright lights in the room at night blinking.

- Patrick (9/5): Conveniently located, quirky hotel with a unique charm. - The location in Ximending is great. Rooms is a bit small but that is typical for Asian hotels. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Although breakfast is not included, they provide plenty of free snacks, instant noodles, and drinks which more than compensate. Besides, with so many great street food stalls and cafes nearby, who wants to eat in a hotel. The bathtub with a shower curtain was awkward. The curtain does not prevent water from leaking onto the floor, and I think the tub also leaked because I always had streams of water on the floor. The floor tile does absorb the water but plastic slippers would be helpful

Ein eigentliches Frühstück gibt es nicht, aber man kann sich an allerlei Getränken (Kaffee aus der Dose oder Instant) bedienen, zudem gibt es allerlei Instant Nudelgerichte. Die Unterkunft hat mehr einen Hostelcharakter, die kleine Lobby ist fensterlos, sie ist liebevoll eingerichtet, hat einen Wohnzimmercharakter. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir hatten eine völlig andere Vorstellung vom „Hotel“. Wir waren zwei Personen in einem sehr kleinen Zimmer, das leider keine Möglichkeit zur Aufbewahrung der Kleidung hatte. Kein Schrank, keine Schublade, nur ein sehr kleiner Kleiderständer für die Jacken. Wir lebten aus den Koffern, die ausgebreitet am Boden lagen, damit war schon fast der gesamte Boden belegt. Im Zimmer war es feucht, dafür wurde ein Luftbefeuchter aufgestellt. Stuhl, Tisch oder Fernseher gab es nicht. Die Zimmer sind nur zum Schlafen und Duschen. Für uns war das ausreichend. 630€ für 5 Nächte und zwei Personen fand ich deutlich zu viel, ich nehme an es ist günstiger, wenn man beim Hotel direkt bucht.

- Sulynn (10/5): Good for a short term stay - Very cosy and chill vibes. Hotel was a short walk from Ximen station. My room has no window, so there was a bit of a smell when I first stepped in. It didn't bother me after a while.

- Ho Tin Ryan (8/5): Clean, good location, worth the money - everything was clean. The staff were super helpful and kind, They can also speak english so everyone is welcome.
- Michael (9/5): A great place to explore Taipei - We hat two stays during our vacation. The hotel was nice and our rooms werde comfortable and we missed nothing. The stuff was friendly and the free water and snacks are good to start the day. The location of the hotel was great. Many spots, restaurants and bars nearby.

- Weng Kiong (9/5): A little pricey but excellent central location, upscale facilites, super friendly and helpful staff - Cho Hotel 3 is a cozy little boutique hotel on Kunming Street, near its sister hotel Cho Hotel and Cho Café (see my other review) all from the same chain on the same street. Do not be fooled by its somewhat dowdy external appearance housed in an old building. Enter its lobby on the 2nd floor and you'll be greeted by a warm hostel-like vibe and friendly staff. All the staff are friendly and helpful but Tony, Tracy, Dio and Jack are some of the standout heroes. Makes you feel like you're bunking in with friends rather than staying in a hotel. Questions to the hotel even before arrival are promptly answered. My Deluxe Double room on the 3rd floor was spacious and clean with the amenities of a upscale hotel. There's a bathtub and even a bidet and a dehumidifier. The kicker has to be the free for all pantry in the lobby which guests can help themselves to instant noodles, sandwiches, biscuits, snacks, soft drinks, tea and coffee. A lifesaver on many a night when I am hungry past midnight, saving me a trip to 7-11 across the road. One can even order the famous Fu Hang Soy Milk from the front desk for collection the next morning. Speaking of location, there are numerous eateries and convenience stores all within a stone's throw. Not to mention the the most happening area of Ximending and MRT Station is just a 5min walk away. If one were to nitpick then one wishes the TV remote would work better and window has a nicer view. It would have been better if the room doors come with a security peep hole. The hotel was housed in an old building and not on its own.

- Opinion+Thoughts (8/5): Would stay again. Everything was more than satisfactory over my 4 nights. - The hotel location for me was good +: Safe, colorful, interesting, walkable neighborhood. Easy to get transportation from this location. Staff very helpful for arrangements, and many interesting and useful sites and locations are reachable with a comfortable walk. Room, bed and bathroom: For me were ultra comfortable, clean, and quiet. I asked for a quiet room location within the hotel and they absolutely delivered. I was happy with this choice of hotel over my 4 night stay. I cannot think of anything, in this category of hotel, that could be improved.

- Finn (9/5): Fun vibe in a great location - Great location and friendly staff. Appreciated the gay-friendly vibe during the Taipei pride celebrations. There are also free snacks and soft drinks which great, as well as laundry facilities. There's not much space to store anything - would have been nice if there were a few drawers in the room to unpack the bag into.

- Patrick (9/5): The best of the hotel/hostel fusion. - Super location, comfortable, great ‘public area’. It’s like a hotel when it comes to room/bathroom and a hostel in regards of lounge area with comfortable seating, piano endless supply of snacks and drinks… It could do with some form of chest of draws. Whilst there is a rack for hanging a few items of cloths, there is no-where else for unpacking. A small point perhaps.

- Sebastian (10/5): Tolles Hotel für einen Städtetrip - Super tolles Hotel mit sehr nettem Servicepersonal. Klasse sind die kostenlose Getränke, Snacks und Instantnudeln. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und das Zimmer inkl. Bad waren sehr sauber. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ist man an der MRT. Restaurants und Shops direkt in der näheren Umgebung.
