- SPowell1999 (10/5): Above and Beyond in Every Way Highly Recommend - My stay at the Merrion hotel Dublin over St Patrickâs day absolutely fabulous experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight in itself. The Irish breakfast was simply divine and set us up perfectly for the day. We were visiting over St Patrickâs Day, and the hotel added such a thoughtful festive touch by providing a chocolate leprechaun alongside a âpot of goldâ dessert a delicious chocolate mousse creation that was as impressive as it was tasty. On arrival, we were also celebrating my friendâs birthday, and the hotel provided a gorgeous strawberry rose cake. It was such a personal, kind and memorable gesture that really made the occasion feel special. One thing that truly stood out was the warmth of the staff throughout the hotel. Between our rooms and breakfast alone, I must have exchanged âgood morningsâ at least eight times every single one genuine and friendly. Overall, a truly outstanding stay. I wouldnât hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin!

- 26mariee (10/5): Wonderful peaceful stay in the heart of Dublin - We spent my birthday weekend at the Merrion, and it exceeded expectations. The hotel was under refurb but we didn't notice it at all. The place itself is very well located, close to pubs and not far from the center but still removed for some peace and quiet. Our rate included breakfast which we recommend highly. Excellent service and food. We didn't use the gym as it was closed, but the in-room amenities were great. Comfortable bed, big bath, and everything was thought through. They left a glasses wipe and case out for me, some spare toiletries and water and slippers.

We returned this weekend to celebrate my 60th birthday and it was the best birthday celebration I have ever had. The Merrion has changed/improved and remains unique.

- Mark (10/5): Warm, welcoming, understated and refined luxury at its best. Quality, quality, quality. - Understated luxury that consistently delivers. Staff are welcoming, friendly and make you feel at ease and relaxed as soon as you arrive. Atmosphere and ambience is refined and exudes 'world class' without over-stating it. Quality driven and this can be seen in all aspects of the service, facilities and decor. There is literally no faults I can give, other than I wish I had more time to spend there. Although it is a tad more expensive that other hotels in the area, its the quality and experience that makes up for the expense.

Front desk, dining room food and service, housekeeping, Book Room staff, and bell staff were all cordial and helpful. We did not utilize Concierge specifically. We arrived at the tail end of the front desk remodel. The location transition from front lobby to front desk room was seamless. The Book Room staff is properly educated in keeping the fireplace going; laying another small log on the fire at just the right time!

- jasoncrh (10/5): A Stalwart Dublin Hotel - I was here for four nights this past weekend and overall this was a great stay. I'd highly recommend the Merrion if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in Dublin. It is fully a 5 star hotel and not cheap, but it's worth every penny. We stayed in a room in the garden wing, and it was lovely. Bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Attention to detail was stellar. Every day both a morning and evening turn down service, and no stone was left unturned. Everything was perfect. We had breakfast every day in the Garden Room restaurant and it was delicious with smiling service. I loved the ability to combine both the buffet and a made to order/ hot dish. The hotel-baked pastries and breads were all delicious. Service througout the hotel from every employee was top notch. Friendly, understanding, and quick, regardless of the request. The decor is simply soothing - from the hallways to the light scents to the paintings and and carpet choices in the rooms - it was all soothing, cooling, calming, and peaceful. I had drinks in the cellar bar one night and they were good. Only a few things to note. If you want to have dinner or lunch at the Garden Room restaurant, the hotel's main restaurant, make sure to make reservations. We did not have them our last night and couldnt get seated, which is uncommon in hotel restaurants (though we could order room service). Also, found it odd that the hotel's bar, the Cellar Door, was closed on Sunday night. That, coupled with an inability to get into the Garden Room at kind of the last minute, left us scrambling a bit to find a bite to eat. Finally, do note that on weekends the Garden Room can be busy for breakfast, so beware. We did enjoy the room service breakfast on our last day as we had an early flight. Excellent service, delicious options, and friendly guy who brought us our order. Overall, I look forward to staying at the Merrion on a future visit to Dublin.

- K3064DYbrendanm (10/5): Stunning hotel with wonderful staff - This is a wonderful hotel. The staff are excellent from the Porters at the door to reception, catering, bar, restaurant and cleaning. They are extremely warm, friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is really high quality and the hotel will cater for dietary requirement with great care. Rooms are spectacular.

All through our stay the staff were so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The location is such a lovely area with great restaurants and pubs easy to walk to. No need to get a taxi. A really lovely experience.

The food in the garden room was exceptional and the reception was very busy on checkout but it was all hands on Dec and we barely had any delay. They have so many lovely paintings unfortunately we couldnât see it all but that means a return visit đ

The service is warm and professional, the rooms very comfortable and well appointed, and we found the whole experience memorable. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, perfectly situated in the nicest part of the city. It was converted from four Georgian townhouses, and is now spacious and stylish while retaining the best of its history, and displays an excellent collection of fine art throughout the hotel.

I needed the invoice at the check-out and they gave misleading information and were not able to provide one until I followed-up with booking myself although I requested it as they instructed initially. Reception team members should communicate better and at least be able to solve basic questions.

Wd also received a room upgrade to a suite for our wedding anniversary celebration whic he was a lovely touch. Nothing, it was an excellent experience.
