- BarryAscot (10/5): A hotel we have to visit whenever in Venice - We have stayed here on a few occasions over the years, although we no longer do so as we prefer modern, new, state of the art luxury suites. However, we never visit Venice without booking to dine at their superb rooftop restaurant, which is particularly good for breakfasts on Sunday mornings to enjoy the cacophony of church bells along with the glorious views. We also have to visit their fabulous cocktail bar on the ground floor next to the gorgeous main staircase. The waiters are simply terrific, the barmen are the best. We always start with champagne cocktails and they simply cannot be bettered. The nibbles that arrive with cocktails are lovely and the icing on the cake is the exceptional pianist/vocalist. Sometimes during busy periods, those enjoying cocktails are spread out outside of the Bar area in all of the other seating covering the immense, grand, glorious and most beautiful ground floor area. When this happens, the atmosphere is simply incredible. This is one of our favourite bars in the world and by coincidence our second most favourite bar is only a short walk away, Harry’s Bar. If you wanted to taste a stay surrounded by grand elegance from yesteryear this is THE hotel to experience. Especially waking up to the views and then going onto the roof for breakfast. Even if you were not staying, a visit to the cocktail bar is an absolute must, no reservation required. While you are there, evil want to get your photograph taken on the stair staircase next to the bar.

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, and from the moment we arrived, the level of service, attention to detail, and genuine care from every member of the staff were beyond exceptional. We were greeted warmly by Damiano, whose professionalism and kindness set the tone for our stay. Alessandro handled our check-in with such attentiveness that we immediately felt valued and welcomed. Throughout our time at the hotel, it seemed as though every staff member knew it was my wife’s birthday—and each one went out of their way to acknowledge it in the most thoughtful, heartfelt manner. It made the entire experience incredibly personal. The highlight of our celebration was dinner at the rooftop restaurant, which was unforgettable. From the gracious welcome to the impeccable service, everything was orchestrated to perfection. The sommelier and the head waiter were outstanding—knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely invested in making the evening special. They transformed what was already a beautiful setting into a truly magical birthday dinner. Finally, our checkout with Silvia was handled with the same level of care and professionalism that we experienced throughout our stay. She was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and the perfect final touch to an exceptional visit. Hotel Danieli is not just a stunning property; it’s a place filled with remarkable people who elevate every moment. Ужасный завтрак. Настолько в диссонансе со всем остальным, что нам показалось, что это какая-то диверсия конкурентов или вид забастовки ;-) . Бедный выбор, прокисшие ананасы, испорченные помидоры (это в Италии-то!). Ну и матрас на нашей кровати не понравился. Слишком мягкий и неровный.

- Kary1075 (10/5): Where beauty and service are one - Hotel Danieli is where old history blends with new. Where you feel well cared for, where they attend to your needs, and where you'll always find a greeting in whatever language you speak. When I arrived at Hotel Danieli, it transported me back to books I had read. After arriving from a long trip, we went to enjoy a delicious meal in their restaurant. I was enveloped by all the aromas coming from their kitchen: the smell of fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic all of that came together to create the best food, made with fresh ingredients. For rest, you have a splendid room, where a super comfortable bed and a very spacious bathroom await you. Its strategic location makes it a worthy choice, where you can admire the pier, the plaza, and many restaurants. The staff is highly qualified. I'm going to miss them.

The entire Danieli team couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. The concierges were so sweet and nothing was too much trouble. THey also remembered all the guests' names from the outset - amazing. I had the most marvellous time! If you eat at the top floor restaurant, be sure to try the spaghetti with smoked butter and mullet. Spectacular. The views from the terrace restaurant are stunning. The hot water was on/off due to some plumbing issues and I would love to have had tea making facilities in the room (they did bring me a kettle but then housekeeping took away the cups!). Breakfast at EUR56 was steep for what was a good but not amazing buffet. It was quite heavy on the sweet stuff. Would have loved some a la carte add ons etc omelettes for that price.

I would like to extend special thanks and recognition to Heitor from the Concierge, who was extremely courteous and provided personalized assistance, as well as excellent dining recommendations. The hotel is truly reminiscent of an art museum in the form of a European luxury residence. The building offers classic elegance and a rich history, which is reflected in the many artworks and furnishings on display throughout. The guest room was very classy and comfortable, featuring a balcony with outdoor seating and unobstructed views of the surrounding Venetian Lagoon. It was a memorable experience to witness the water traffic from such an excellent vantage point every day during the stay. Overall, it was a one-of-a-kind and truly unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend this property for visitors to Venice.

The only small downside of our stay was the behavior of a few other guests. One evening, while enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and bacground jazz music at dinner on the terrace, a Japanese child from another table was loudly playing Japanese songs on a device and even standing on the chair cushion...Also one Indian girl was running in the lobby as it was her playgroubd...While this moment briefly disturbed the otherwise perfect experience, we fully recognize that the responsibility lies with the parents and not the hotel. We were very impressed by how professionally the staff handled the situation and continued to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all other guests!!!

Un autentico 5 stelle: interni storici e affascinanti, personale cortese e attento, letto estremamente comodo. Consigliatissimo l’arrivo in water taxi direttamente al Molo Danieli: un’esperienza da provare. La colazione, buonissima e servita sulla terrazza con vista mozzafiato sul canale, è stata di per sé un momento indimenticabile. Un soggiorno davvero memorabile. Torneremo sicuramente.

The staff is incredibly detail-oriented and went out of their way to ensure my experience was flawless. The food was delightful, and every meal exceeded my expectations. The only downside was the hairdryer in the bathroom. It was quite awful for a hotel of this caliber. Given the price they charge for the room, I expected a high-quality device, such as a Dyson Styler, instead. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an unforgettable Venetian experience.
- william (10/5): Best spot in Venice - First off, let me start by saying that anyone who left a bad review of this hotel is a pretentious snob. The hotel, staff and service were all top notch. From the greeting the moment we arrived to a staff that went above and beyond catering to us, this place was amazing. We lucked out being able to upgrade our rooom to a balcony with a canal view WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!! The location was perfect. Close to all the cool historical sights and about a 3 min walk from any food you can imagine.
