Daniele (5/5): Décevant - Proche de la gare. Personnel du bar aimable Cet établissement nécessite une rénovation complète. Notre chambre était mal isolée et sentait mauvais. Le nettoyage était approximatif. Le restaurant de l’hôtel, malgré une jolie terrasse extérieur, n’est pas à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles. Le prix pour l’ensemble est exorbitant

Gregor (7/5): Good service, but old rooms, poorly maintained - Very friendly staff, excellent service The hotel has a maintenance problem. When I check-in I got a room where safe was not working and had to call someone twice to open it. They finally offered me another room, which was Ok on first sight. Then I realized that walls are dirty with lots of stains. The bathroom always had slight mould smell. Furniture is old with many scratches almost all of them.

The staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. However, our overall experience was extremely disappointing due to a billing issue. When we made the reservation, it was clearly stated that all taxes were included. At checkout, we were also told that only the parking fee would be deducted from the deposit. To our surprise, we later discovered that €36 per night was additionally charged for city tax. This was already supposed to be included in the original booking price via Booking.com. We have stayed in many hotels before and are very familiar with how these charges work. After contacting the hotel and providing proof of our booking, they refused to take responsibility and instead blamed Booking.com, asking us to resolve it with them. This kind of response is unacceptable and left us feeling misled and cheated. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we will not be returning. Definitely our last stay at a Westin hotel.

The hotel's excellent location allows for easy exploration of the city on foot, by bike, by public transportation, by hotel taxi, and, thanks to the proximity of the Central Railway Station, also in the surrounding areas of Milan, both near and far. Excellent connections to Milan Bergamo Airport. The hotel staff is exceptionally hospitable, recognizing their guests and able to personalize each guest's expectations and meet their every need. In the restaurant, staff wear elegant uniforms, underlining the high standard. Employees wear elegant shoes, slippers rather than sneakers, which reflects the high class of this establishment. The restaurant offers a rich menu with Italian flavors. The staff is always on hand but not intrusive, serving with sensitivity. The Italian staff are everywhere, demonstrating their extensive experience and commitment to the brand, which is less evident in other hotels. The hotel offers a very intimate and safe atmosphere. The rooms are cozy and impeccably clean. The hotel offers evening room service for guests, which is a real plus when we return tired from the city in the evening and have our place ready for bed. We are, of course, aware of this quality and owe it to the entire staff, who are always attentive to their guests. We would like to thank Alessandra and Maria Wiktoria, the General Manager and Operations Manager, for making our stay here exceptional and personal.

We were extremely pleased with Riccardo Arnaldi, the Head Concierge and his staff. Working with Riccardo we were able to make our time in Milan a great success ! He was professional, informative and funny! He listened to what we wanted to see and do in Milan. He gave great input snd many suggestions !!! Thank you to all at the Westin Palace!!! Booked a 40m room and they gave us a small room in the beginning (they said it was around 30m but it felt way smaller) and when I realized and went back to the reception they said they don’t have any larger room ready and that we need to wait some hours, being already hours past checkin time. We had no option but to wait, but obviously our evening was ruined. They gifted us a panettone, but when we had our bags moved from the small room to the actual room it was forgotten, didn’t ask for it as we did not wanted it anyways, but this shows the kind of service they offer. After first day of cleaning the glasses in the room disappeared and evey time we asked for some empty glasses in the room took hours to receive them and we had to ask for them so many times.

_O3397QL (10/5): Hotel Review – The Westin Palace, Milan - I just wanted to share my opinion about The Westin Palace in Milan, because we really loved our stay there. First of all, and maybe the most important thing — yes, you should definitely choose this hotel for your stay. Everything is really great there. The location is excellent: we arrived from Bergamo Airport to Milano Centrale railway station, and it is only about a 10-minute walk from the station to the hotel. It is also very close to many attractions in the city, and there is a metro station literally right next to the entrance, which is very convenient. For the check-in, I would like to especially thank Mr. Andrei. Unfortunately, we arrived quite early (around 10 a.m.), but he was very kind and helped us get our room earlier. He also explained everything about the hotel very clearly — thank you so much for that. The room was amazing — honestly, it felt more like a luxury boutique hotel than a typical Westin. The amenities were excellent, and the view was very nice. You can also feel the signature Westin fragrance everywhere, which creates a very pleasant atmosphere. And of course, Westin has the best mattresses, so you can be sure you will sleep very well. Breakfast was also very good. Mrs. Silvia, the restaurant supervisor, was extremely kind to us 😄. There were also two other ladies who worked during the last days of Christmas holiday and over the weekend — thank you very much for your warm and friendly service. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and to everyone who is going to visit Milan, because this place is absolutely worth it.

I’ve stayed at Westins where the experience is phenomenal and some where it’s clear that the things that made Westin a great hotel just aren’t there. The Westin Milan is the former - every part of our experience was top notch. I’ve been Marriott Ambassador for 4 years now, so have to adjust for the fact that Ambassadors do get treated a bit better. Even then, this was a great experience. 1. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived and we had to wait 2 hours, but they gave us another room to use and then we moved to the larger upgraded room - such great creative problem solving! 2. Room was impeccably clean - and I am picky! 3. Staff is friendly all around. Seemed like the hotel uses outside labor from the Indian subcontinent- they were all incredibly polite and efficient! 4. The bar and coffee place is great - very good service 5. Lobby is quiet and front desk staff is nice 6. I would return here for sure. Frankly, I went to the Four Seasons a week earlier and they could not have been more rude. The Park Hyatt is very nice as well - great service but very busy location. To me, Westin Milan is the top choice.

This place should not be allowed to market itself as a luxury hotel. This hotel is disgusting. Filthy rooms, poor hygiene, and an overall feeling of neglect that borders on unsafe. I got sick during my stay, which is something I have never experienced at a hotel before. That alone tells you everything you need to know about their cleanliness standards. The water situation was a joke. Ice-cold water only—no hot water whatsoever. Imagine paying premium prices to shower like you’re being punished. Completely unacceptable, especially for a property that pretends to be 5-star. The customer service was the worst part, which says a lot. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like any complaint was an inconvenience to them. No empathy, no effort to fix anything, and absolutely no professionalism. It felt like dealing with people who genuinely do not care if guests ever return. This hotel is living off an old name and false reputation. It is run-down, dirty, overpriced, and mismanaged. If you value your health, comfort, or money—stay far away.

The room felt unhygienic, poorly maintained, and straight-up neglected. I got sick during my stay, which says everything about the cleanliness standards here (or lack of them). On top of that, no hot water—ice-cold showers in a so-called 5-star hotel. Unacceptable. This isn’t a budget hostel, yet that’s exactly how it felt. Now let’s talk about the customer service, which somehow managed to be worse than the room. Staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in solving any issues. Complaints were brushed off like they were doing me a favor by listening. Zero accountability. Zero care. For the price they charge, this experience is honestly shocking. You’re paying premium rates for filth, discomfort, and arrogance.

Check in: Quick check in. Was upgraded to an executive suite using my platinum nightly benefit. Shiraz at the front desk is top notch, very helpful, smiling and quick. Fulfilling everything we had asked for. An extra bed was placed in our room in 7 mins. Breakfast: Excellent breakfast with a lot of options. I had fresh carrots juice every day with an option to order from the Ala carte menu (for platinum members). Loved the breads, cheese and the honeycomb. Suite: The executive suite is an experience in itself. It has a steam room, 2 showers and ample space. Unlike other suites, it’s just one big room. The bed is amazing with very good quality pillows. The views are spectacular.

881sangjinp (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay at Westin Palace Milan (Platinum Member) - I stay at Westin properties frequently and have been a loyal Platinum member for years, but my experience at Westin Palace Milan was genuinely the worst I’ve ever had with the brand. At check-in, I was told I received a complimentary Platinum upgrade to a “larger” room. That turned out to be completely misleading. The room was small, dated, and felt old, with worn furniture and a tired layout. What made it worse is that my friend—also a Platinum member—received a true upgrade to a much larger and better room. The inconsistency and lack of transparency were extremely frustrating. The bathroom situation was unacceptable. The toilet water ran nonstop, and there was a persistent sewer odor that lasted all 4 nights. This is not a minor issue—this is something that should never happen in any hotel, let alone one charging nearly $400 per night. The service was equally disappointing. The staff were unfriendly, indifferent, and lacked professionalism throughout the stay. No warmth, no effort to resolve problems, no sense of hospitality. As a frequent Marriott guest, this felt far below brand standards. For a property in a major city like Milan—and for the price I paid—this stay was an absolute waste of money. I left feeling genuinely let down by both the hotel and the Westin brand. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially loyal Marriott members expecting consistency and quality.
