The property is gorgeous. Our room was huge and exquisite. We had wonderful breakfasts every morning and ate and drank in the main bar on more than a couple of nights. It was an exceptional experience. I HIGHLY recommend it. We found a pretty good rate. But, it is pricey.

The staff was phenomenal—attentive, professional, and consistently going above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless throughout our stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the location right on the Arno is hard to beat. What really set this stay apart was the level of service. Due to a half marathon, much of the city center was closed, and without hesitation, the concierge personally walked our bags several blocks to meet our driver. That level of care and commitment is rare and made a lasting impression. An outstanding experience from start to finish—highly recommended.
- OBJ26 (6/5): Great location, but not sure I would stay there again. - The Hotel staff is wonderful and helpful. The rooms were ok. First room we got (which was supposed to have a river view, was literally just a window that you had to be on your tippy toes to be able to see) and super small (said large room) bathroom was super small as well. We asked to be moved to a different room that was bigger with no view and they kindly did. We were spending a week there so the smaller room would have been super uncomfortable. The amenities in the room compared to St Regis Rome are not so great. Coming from the St Regis Rome we expected about the same but I guess different locations different things. The bed is the reason why I’m giving it a 3 star review, this bed was so uncomfortable and bad, lots of “bumps” like the coils were all over the place. Definitely the mattress needs replacing, I ended up with a really back neck and shoulder pain from it. Overall it’s a great hotel , classic with an excellent location, walking distance to everything! Again the staff was wonderful!

Liesl, the host, remembered our names and couldn’t have been nicer. Valeria was incredible - remembered our preferred orders daily and was extremely attentive to our needs. The location was great and a very easy walk to great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Although it is certainly not a cheap option we found the service to be excellent, in particular the staff were really helpful and friendly. - AmyEmilyT0214 (8/5): With an Italian Flair, not the best St. Regis - We have a good impression of St. Regis properties overall, so we tend to stay here if it's available at the location we're travelling to. This time is no exception. We stayed at the Arno River view King room on the same level as breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, full of history, with a heavy theme and a lot of artwork. The bathroom was mostly lined with marble and stocked with Sachajuan products, very standardised throughout all St. Regis properties. The room offered a beautiful panoramic view of the Arno River, and we had an amazing sunset view. The balcony was spacious and offered us space to walk back and forth. We were offered complimentary wine and cheese plates upon arrival, and we enjoyed the typical St. Regis service, like tea service and complimentary clothing pressing. Our room key was an old school heavy key with a huge tassel, not your modern day key card, and each time we leave, we would drop it off at the concierge and retrieve it when we returned. We found the experience interesting, and we enjoyed doing it for the few days we stayed there. The overall service was standard St. Regis, from the hotel porter to check-in, to the concierge, restaurant staff, and spa staff. Breakfast was very nice, a great buffet spread with an egg station. It is located on the first floor, where some seats offer a brilliant view of the Winter Garden bar and restaurant just one level down. The staff in general were courteous and professional, especially under the leadership of a presumably restaurant manager on duty from Tuesday to Friday. The gym was relatively small, and the air ventilation wasn't great. The spa was standard and nice. The overall aesthetics represented the cradle of the Renaissance well, with the art and decor, and the intricacy of the pattern in their elevators. Two things that fell short for us during our stay: 1) One of the iconic St. Regis experiences is their sabering ritual. For Florence, it was from 6-7 PM, no set time. We arrived at 6, and one of the staff members mentioned that they may start at 6:30 PM, so hopefully more people will show up. We left at 6:38 PM to continue on with our plans and by that point, still no sabering. We did get our 2 glasses of bubbles and snacks; however, it was simply served like we were at a normal bar, without the actual ritual. The interesting thing was that the bar staff actually opened a brand new bottle. We left confused as to what they were waiting on, why they would open a new bottle, rather than sabering it as part of the ritual, then serving the bubbles. 2) We received a bottle of sweet wine and a local biscuit inside a packaging that is shaped like the Duomo, which was really cute, and we took them home. When we opened the packaging and read the label, we discovered that the "use by" date for the biscuits was almost 3 months ago, before it was gifted to us during our stay. We appreciated the gesture, but it was quite a shock. We had a nice stay overall, but we might consider other properties if we ever visit Florence again.

The atmosphere is elegant and calm. The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, professional, and consistently kind, making the experience feel truly special. The room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with high quality products and attentive service. A refined and memorable stay. - margaretmP2180HD (10/5): St Regis is super luxurious in the River Arno - Great overnight stay in Florence. The St Regis is very luxurious and staffed with great service. You are a little far from the center of Florence about a 10 minute walk, but it’s worth it for the river views you get! Our room allowed us to open up French doors out onto a balcony overlooking the river. Was a once in a lifetime experience. Would recommend to anyone to try this spot out! Oh and be sure to go to breakfast if that’s an option, it was included through our American Express booking, the options were plentiful and tasted fabulous!

Dineren in het prachtige wintertuin restaurant werd verstoord door de live band die elk gesprek onmogenlijk maakte. Na een uurtje waren alle gasten vertrokken en speelde de band dapper door voor een lege zaal. Wij waren als enigen blijven zitten maar intussen wel verhuisd naar de gang achter de wintertuin, vlakbij de toiletten, alwaar onze maaltijd van 380 euro werd opgediend. Een schande voor een 5 sterren restaurant. Dat vond het personeel ook (elke derde donderdag van de maand is het van dat) maar het managment wil het zo. Ik ben voor inclusiviteot op de werkvloer maar een dove en blinde hoteldirecteur is toch niet aangewezen voor een 5 sterren hotel. Dan liever naar de jeugdherberg.

We reserved the room for an hour before to enjoy the steam shower and Turkish jacuzzi. Our 90 minute massages were refreshing and relaxing. It was a great afternoon in the middle of our vacation.

The hotel is exquisite in every sense and centrally located on the Arno river which very close to the central train station. The hotel staff were highly professional, helpful and hard working. The front desk staff, the butler team, the concierges and the restaurant/bar staff made us feel very special and important during our stay! It is clear that this property is very well run and that the staff have their guests well being at heart! The cleaning staff did an amazing job with our daily cleaning and turn down service. The attention to detail was off the chart. A special thank you to Andrea at the concierge desk who provided us excellent service and advice on local restaurants. He made all the arrangements for our reservations and they did not disappoint. Also, Valeria was amazing for our breakfast service in the Winter Garden restaurant. Everything was top notch. She even arranged a wonderful take away breakfast for our last morning as we had a very early train! Note: Excellent recognition of Marriott bonvoy elite status. We were upgraded to a beautiful Junior suite with a view of the Duomo! Well done St Regis, we will definitely be back!

The service was out of this world on every level, with a lot of special touches along the way. Special shout out to Sylvia for going above and beyond - even arranging a table at the sister hotel's restaurant across the street and walking us over there. The breakfast was fantastic and the cafe inside the lobby was also perfect. Only slight complaint would be that the dinner menu in the Winter Garden is very light and could be expanded. Overall, an unforgettable experience that we'll measure every other hotel by going forward.

On Sunday, the T-shirt was inside my bag, but when I checked again, it was missing. It seems someone went through my bag and stole it. Everything else in the bag was untouched. I contacted the emergency phone number to follow up, but they did not pay attention to my concerns. I also spoke with the reception, but no calls were made, and my complaint was not taken seriously. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care and responsiveness. I request urgent action to locate my T-shirt or resolve this matter.

The staff is beyond courteous and took care of every detail. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite that was made for us to have privacy among friends. One of our friends got really ill and the hotel was immediate to the rescue. We even had tailoring service in room. Breakfast was incredible. We had everything taken cared of and handled seamlessly.

They changed my seat position and the mirrors and I didn't expect this from such a hotel with this kind of prices. The worst impression they left me was at breakfast. When I checked in, they told me that the breakfast is included and after I've started eating someone from the stuff came to me and asked me to sign a note that I was present at the breakfast. The note was a check of 50€ for the breakfast. I explained them that it is included and I don't sign it and they cut the amount. It is very inappropriate to be desturbed when I was eating the breakfast with this situation. When I arrived at the breakfast I told them the room number. In every other hotel telling the room number it's enough but not here. Because of this experiences I will never return to this hotel chain again.

- davidwC3706RY (10/5): Beautiful hotel with impeccable service! - My wife and I spent two days in Florence during our honeymoon trip to Italy, and staying at the St Regis was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Upon arriving we learned we had been upgraded to a beautiful suite with balconies overlooking the river. The room was spectacular, and the entire hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The service by the entire staff was impeccable. When they learned that we were on our honeymoon, we came back from dinner the first night and found the staff had left a bottle of champagne and a bowl of delicious chocolates in our room with a note of congratulations! My wife asked if we could buy a box of the chocolates to take home, and as we were leaving a member of the butler staff met us at our cab with a complementary box they had prepared for us! I truly can't say enough about the incredible service by the entire staff. We hope to return to Florence one day, and if we do we will absolutely be staying at the St Regis again.

Staff is wonderful and attentive, the morning breakfast offerings were splendid and the concierge is second to none. Mergers, points and cost cutting have greatly diminished the luxury experience at many properties, however, the St. Regis - Florence continues to shine brightly and offer old world hospitality.

- LondonHH72 (8/5): Best views of the Arno - We stayed at the St Regis in Florence for 4 nights. Fabulous location. Close to everything, and the location on the Arno is very picturesque, especially if you get accomodations that face it. We were upgraded to a corner Junior Suite with stunning views. Very spacious. Well appointed. However our first night we were in a deluxe room that was very tight with a ridiculous closet that fit next to nothing with a bathroom that really needed a renovation. I mention this, because aside from space, the bathrooms (there were multiple) in the Junior Suite were much newer in my opinion. Separate tub/shower. So I think the rooms vary dramatically. However the one issue we noticed in both rooms were gnats/mosquitoes flying around. The deluxe room had some. Didn’t take too much notice. But they were definitely present. On the other hand, in the junior suite on the second night, we came home from dinner on our first night and there was an infestation around the bedside lamps and on the walls on either side between the headboard the the lights. It was vile. Took towels to literally try and kill as many as we could. We had never opened the windows at all. There is a card placed by the windows mentioning to be wary of doing so because of the proximity to the river. However, we never opened a single window. We addressed the situation to the front desk manager the next morning, and to be honest, she seemed pretty unfazed. Which leads me to believe, I am not the first to mention this. More aggressive extermination procedures should really be in place to prevent this kind of guest experience. We were told that the room was being thoroughly cleaned and when we returned at the end of the day, we noticed citronella plug ins by the lights. Thankfully, no more issues with insects. Aside from this, the service was very good across the board. The concierge was excellent. Breakfast was great. Overall still a great choice.

One particular staff member gave us a lovely selection of Italian olive oil as i asked for some. It was disappointing as it was catering for an American market and there was no Italian touch or food especially for its authentic Florence region of amazing products.

We experienced this firsthand when, a few hours after our departure, we realized we had left a piece of jewelry in our room safe. There was no need to panic, as the hotel's housekeeping and security swiftly recovered it. Furthermore, Marco, the extraordinary concierge, arranged for a courier to hand-deliver the jewelry to us at our hotel in Rome. This level of service is truly exceptional in every aspect. This was our 3rd year in a row here, and we stayed for five nights – we plan to return every May!

She acknowledged my lifetime titanium status with Marriott and ensured we had a beautiful room. Shortly after we were greeted by Eduarodo from the bar. He offered us nice welcome cocktails and we enjoyed lovely conversation. Our room was spacious and the bed oh so comfortable! Food was great. Breakfast was the best we have had on our 6 week trip. By the way for anyone trying to decided between Four Seasons or St Regis, we did go over to Four Seasons to take a look. We were very happy we selected St. Regis as the location is much better. It is a wonderful property with A+ staff and service. You will not be disappointed!
- DTWGeorge (10/5): Spring time in Florence - First time in Florence and we could not have been more pleased. The property is centrally located in a very walkable city. Check in was a breeze, we were a little early so a quick bite at their casual restaurant Cafe Ginori. Their Tris di Arancine, amazing and a seafood salad that was all seafood in a light and tasty vinaigrette, wow! Once our room was ready we made our way to a beautiful room on the 2nd floor overlooking the Arno river. The river view room was worth the price. The two butler’s introduced themselves and were helpful several times in our four night stay. Dinner our first night at their Winter Garden restaurant. A delicious meal in a stunning setting. A special thanks to Marco our waiter, he was gracious in accommodating a special request. Breakfast every morning on the second floor mezzanine overlooking the Winter Garden was a good start to the day, amazing selections with service to match. A special thanks to the entire staff. Five star service. The concierge desk helped with airport transfers and several last minute reservations, housekeeping was quick and discreet. The door and bellmen always helpful with a greeting and a smile. Really nothing negative to say about our stay… can’t wait to visit again.

- JMSolomon (10/5): Our Favorite Hotel in Florence. - We had a fabulous stay at the St. Regis. The location is great. It’s right off the Arno and on a piazza where there is a rotating craft and flea market. It’s a great central location, less than a 30 minute walk to most of the important attractions. The staff were really attentive. The concierge staff gave generally reliable advice. The bar is a lot of fun. Guests receive complementary glass of champagne between 6 and 7 pm. There is a fun champagne saberong ceremony every evening at around 6:30. We were upgraded to a junior suite. It was gorgeous and we really enjoyed the sitting area. The bathroom was great with one of the best hotel showers that I have ever used. My wife and I appreciated the double sinks. The housekeeping staff were great. The St. Regis is a bit of a splurge, but it made our stay in Florence special. This is our first choice when we visit.

- B3790RImichaelg (10/5): Early 70th Birthday Present at St. Regis Florence - A six night stay at the St. Regis on the Piazza Ognissanti. A treat after 25 years absence from Florence. The non-intrusive service, attention to detail and welcoming hospitality of the staff overall was a delight. Jesus provided an introduction to the rooms and amenities. I was provided room 312, the Lorenzo Medici suite. Spacious yet very comfortable with a view across the Arno to the Piazza di Cestello. Walter at the front desk provided several recommendations for dinner and was instrumental in securing reservations for me and my companion to visit the Brancacci Chapel. At breakfast, I was welcomed by Ariana who went out of her way on several requests, including mango juice. At the bar, Erica saw to my evening cocktail. Marco, also at the bar, performed the nightly ritual of opening a bottle of sparkling wine with a saber. The hotel is in an excellent location along the Arno within easy walking distance to major museums, sights, the Duomo and area churches. My focus was in the art and architecture of Florence. The room was excellent and quiet. The bed most comfortable. Highly recommend.
- Aquajh (8/5): Excellent Room & River View, but Inconsistent Hospitality - My stay at this hotel was overall enjoyable. The room was excellent—beautifully designed, comfortable, and well-maintained. The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning river view, which made my time in Florence even more special. Waking up to such a breathtaking scene was a memorable experience. The restaurant and bar were both good, offering quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. Most of the staff were welcoming and friendly, contributing to a warm and inviting environment. However, I couldn’t help but notice some inconsistencies in the level of hospitality. While many staff members provided outstanding service to all guests, I observed that a few treated non-white guests differently compared to white guests. This was disappointing, especially given the otherwise high standards of the hotel. If the hotel can address this issue and ensure truly equal treatment for all guests, it would be an exceptional place to stay. Overall, I still enjoyed my visit, primarily due to the fantastic room and river view.

The truly unique experience began with a pick-up at the train station, where the chauffeur was accompanied by a concierge. They both took care of my luggage, and on the way to the hotel, the concierge provided me with all the necessary information for my stay. I stayed in two different room types, one of which was the Bottega Veneta suite - absolutely one of a kind! The entire team was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more memorable. I would definitely choose the St. Regis for future trips to Florence.

However, this was such an amazing property with fabulous staff, that I had to make sure I recognized them. From the very moment at check in, to the butler staff and dining and housekeeping, I'm not sure I've stayed a nicer property. We even had an issue with our return flight and the staff helped with a seamless additional night stay. Valeria was especially helpful with our early morning breakfast(including our entire stay there)
