Special thanks to Selina from the Reservations team for kindly assisting with the birthday arrangements, and to Hannah from Guest Experience for the beautifully prepared birthday balloons. Our room on the fifth floor was extremely spacious, almost like a one-bedroom suite. We loved the lovely cream-toned interior and high-quality furnishings. The complimentary minibar, fresh flowers arranged by a florist, and thoughtful amenities were all delightful. The pool, while small, is impressive given the central location. Overall, heartfelt thanks to the Reservations, Guest Experience, and Housekeeping teams—we would happily return.

The hotel is close to the Opera and theatres as well as very many good restaurants. The service everywhere is impeccable. We especially enjoy pre- and post-dinner drinks in the bar. Always perfect!

We stayed in the Loft Suite, which is spectacular as is, the surprise included Christmas tree made it truly over the top! We also booked the deluxe room next to the suite for our daughter. It felt like our own luxury apartment right in the heart of London. The service is unbelievably friendly and accommodating, the restaurant food is spectacular and the location can't be beat. One Aldwych will be our place to stay from now on in London. Thank you for making our holidays so special.

- ripple1 (10/5): Great Hotel in a great location - We stayed at One Aldwych for 8 nights during the first week in December. The hotel is in an ideal location (Covent Garden) for walking to many, many historical sights and museums. We literally walked everywhere, even over Waterloo Bridge to get to Waterloo Station for a couple of day trips to Windsor and Hampton Court. The hotel was dressed for the season and the bar was fantastic...lively and the drinks were fantastic. We had a Loft Suite. The suite was very spacious but I wish there had been more storage in the living room area and a full length mirror in order to make the suite more useful to spread out and have another space in which to dress. I do want to mention the ladies at the Front desk and the concierge for being so friendly and helpful and making my husbands' 68 birthday celebration trip so special. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to London.

Friendly & professional service, beautiful seasonal decor and their Cocktails are second to none. We were well looked after and made to feel special as returning customers who were celebrating a Wedding Anniversary. We will be back again in 2026!

- GerryR573 (10/5): Ideal hotel experience near Covent Garden - This was our second time at One Aldwych, and it was wonderful again. The location is superb, the rooms excellent and the service levels are high. The holiday season decorations were spectacular, especially in the lobby bar. This remains one of our favourite lobby bars, and we like that they added entertainment this year. The Gallery cocktails are creative and delicious and the service is welcoming from everyone, but especially from Lydienne for the second year in a row.

It felt a bit small considering we had a child as well. If you add a cot into the room that was hard also the TV was quite far away and also quite small so hard to read or see what was on the TV in detail.
- 979jaclync (10/5): Always a lovely stay at One Aldwych - One Aldwych is a go-to spot for me when I'm in London. An easy walk into the City for work, or Soho for dinner, it's a great location. Service is always excellent at the front desk and in the restaurant, and there are plenty of spots to lounge and have a quiet conversation or a coffee. Bed is comfortable and desk has good lighting!
- adamm223 (10/5): Hand on heart best hotel stay ever!! - This was honestly the best hotel stay I've ever had main due to the staff. The building itself is impressive with amazing finishes and details everywhere however it was all of the little things that made our stay outstanding. The staff took a genuine interest in us and what we were doing on our trip. Being told about the history of the building and the art collection on check in was very interesting. We were lucky enough to have a hand written card and some chocolates delivered to the room whilst we were out in the afternoon which I thought was a nice touch. Bottles of filtered water, a glass and slippers were set up next to the bed every evening ready for bed. The Christmas decorations around the lobby bar were lovely and a lovely tribute to 250 years since the birth of Jane Austen. I would defiantly stay here again and would like to say a massive thank you to all of the staff who made our stay extra special.

The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive, the room very well appointed, and the entire hotel was pristine and inviting. The turn down service at night was a treat, the bar inviting and the flower decorations always a treat. We couldn't have felt more "at home", would recommend this as our best hotel stay ever and only wish we could be back there sooner.

The rooms are very quiet despite the noisy location, with lots of great little touches, such as a complimentary minibar. Great staff, lovely swimming pool and an excellent dairy/gluten free restaurant. You'd never know if you weren't told.

The location was amazing, very walkable especially to Covent Garden. The service was out of this world and the included amenities made me feel like royalty. The included breakfast was delicious. Seriously I don't have anything bad to say about this place. 10/10 I'm going to recommend this hotel to everyone. Let this be your sign that the hotel is worth it!

Perfect for all esp solo travelers to feel safe walking around on their own. The suites were outstanding with so many special details, a great sitting area and incredibly comfortable with amazing service. All staff were very kind and knowledgeable and loved to help the guests Fantastic pool experience and steam room was perfect after a day of shopping ! Most theatres were 100 metres away so easy to get to and I found the Big Bus stop was right outside the doors so super convenient for getting around for tourists. Amazing breakfast in a beautiful mezzanine restaurant. Great bar area and a lounge to relax waiting after checkout for those evening flights back to Australia once you have finished for the day.

Coffee making facilities with fresh milk and mini bar, with complimentary drinks and snacks. Great location for theatres and Covent Garden, with a stylish bar serving cocktails, drinks and food. It’s desire for “green” sustainable hospitality was very good. The breakfast at £40 per head was expensive, especially if you only wanted coffee and a croissant. The 1st floor room we had was a bit noisy but in the heart of London that’s to be expected I suppose.

Location is great, staff are wonderful, hotel is beautiful, clean, quiet, calm haven in the centre of London. Food is excellent. It’s a little pricey. Food and drink is expensive and I am always slightly annoyed when you pay so much for a hotel room and breakfast isn’t included.

Beautifully furnished room, so clean, the cleanest hotel, with beautiful fittings, it looked like a Monaco yacht interiors, so stylish. I think a few beds by the pool would be amazing, the one's there are too low and too curvy and not using the space well. otherwise everything is great.

We were particularly surprised at how quiet the rooms were considering the location - very well sound proofed! Would definitely come back .

- Samesamela (10/5): Fabulous - I spent a lot of time looking at reviews of central London five star hotels, and the scores for One Aldwych were so high, I ended up booking this property. I’m glad I did. The hotel has pretty much nailed how to do 5 star. It really was excellent. Great rooms, tasteful and cool, comfortable, well designed, for central London also relatively quiet. The bathroom was a bit cramped and the plumbing was noisy but otherwise, everything was really really good. Staff were superb. Very professional, friendly without being obsequious, respectful and really aware of what was going on. This was on par with the sort of service you get at the MO or Peninsula in Hong Kong or Tokyo. Really impressive. We didn’t have much by way of F&B so I can’t comment on that. But to echo so many previous reviewers, this is really worth considering if you are staying in central London.

The quality of the rooms, service, food, spa, and housekeeping is world class and has never been better. I simply can not imagine coming to London and not staying at One A. Highly recommended.

I have worked in hospitality for over 36 yrs and this is one of my best experience in a very long time. The room was beautiful decorated with all amenities that come with a 5 star hotel. The food in Indigo restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent and very high standard of customer service. Also would like to say a special thank you to Petra at Front desk for such an amazing welcome and for showing us around and telling us everything we needed to know for our stay and to Gregorio, Reception Manager for making our departure very smooth and always with a very warm smile greeting you. - MaddyHatter (10/5): Great hotel - The suite was lovely - well designed and well laid out. Very comfortable bed. En-suite off the bedroom and an additional toilet off the living room. Well-stocked complimentary mini bar. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and, on arrival, there was a bottle of Bollinger on ice and a strawberry gateau. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and attentive (special mentions to Tania and Niana in the health club). I have a nut allergy and the care taken was excellent - nut-free cake and even the ingredients in the toiletries in the en-suite had been considered. The location is very central. In general, noise levels were fine. However, one negative was sleep being disturbed on two occasions in the small hours by drivers beeping horns at each other and by a loud motorbike. That is the trade-off for the location. The chlorine-free pool was an added bonus.

- 223jeanpauln (2/5): Underwhelming and spam pest - Was invited to the Charlie and Chocolate Factory High Tea. The experience was underwhelming by London standards and the food, considering the price, was underwhelming given how far we have come with regards to molecular gastronomy. I was expecting a Heston experience. What is more infuriating is that I can get off their data base no matter how many times I unsubscribe, complain etc. I know longer live in the UK and this there is even less reason to send me their rubbish. Don’t ever supply your private email. Use either burn account or work account.
- alba8608 (10/5): The best hotel in London - We have previously stayed at other London hotels and always feel let down by some aspect of our stay. I can say that I now don’t need to find any other hotel in London because of the exceptional stay I just had at One Aldwych. It was a special event and we had read about the wonderful reviews of this hotel so decided to book here. From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure there was not one aspect that did not meet our expectations or needs. The entire hotel is immaculately clean. Every single member of staff you meet, no matter their role, makes you feel special and could not do any more to go above and beyond expectations for exceptional customer service. The room is perfectly appointed with the highest quality of design and appliances. Minor feedback would be that there could be slightly more storage space (Ex: suitcases), lack of movies or rental movies on the telly, unsure about arrangements for recycling waste. The breakfast was of the highest quality ingredients. You could see and taste the difference from other hotel breakfasts with the beautiful free range eggs, pumpernickel bread, homemade hollandaise sauce. The lobby bar is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed pre theatre drinks there served by the incredibly friendly bar staff. I can’t say enough compliments about this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. And the next time we return to London there will be no question of where we will stay. There is now only one choice for quality service and that is One Aldwych. Thank you so much.
- E8991ZHjohnm (10/5): An extremely special hotel- will be back! - We stayed here over the weekend and this is by far the best hotel we have EVER stayed in London. This hotel is worth more than the five available stars. The hotel is spotless- the lobby and bar area are very beautifully kept. We had a drink in the bar on our first night. Lovely ambience and the perfect spot for a pre theatre drink. Our room was a beautiful luxe room which had plenty of space. It was very beautifully designed and extremely quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff here are one of a kind. From the moment we arrived till the moment we departed, we were treated so well by all staff- from the concierge, domestic, reception and restaurant staff. They were extremely happy to accommodate requests and were so considerate and polite. Thank you so much for making my partner’s birthday trip very special ! We have stayed in numerous hotels around central London. This is a gold-standard experience. If anyone asks for hotel recommendations, this will be top of the list. We are planning to book again when we are in London next April! Thank you so much! You are doing a wonderful job!
