EF637 (10/5): Disney Dolphin Resort: The best Disney Resort!! - My adult daughter and I just returned from a long weekend stay at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. Our stay was fantastic from the hotel room, the location, the pool, the food choices and the service. Every worker was smiling as they greeted us. Our room was perfect! It was pretty, very clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries (even a shower cap!). The beds were so comfortable! Housekeeping was offered everyday and they did a great job. You can't beat the location being walking distance to Epcot and the Boardwalk. There are also boats to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, along with buses to other Disney Parks. We enjoyed walking to Epcot and catching the Sky-liner to the Riviera Resort. There is a terrace at the top of the Riviera where you can watch the Epcot fireworks with music piped in. We really took advantage of the pool on this visit. It was so much fun! There was a DJ everyday we were at the pool. He played such a great mix for the children and adults. I saw kids as young as 3 singing and dancing to K Pop Demon Hunters' songs and grown-ups (even grandma) waving their hands in the air as they swayed along in the pool to the music they loved. There were fountains and a pool slide. It was such a vibrant atmosphere. We had lunch twice at the pool bar restaurant. The food and service were great. We had champagne brunch at the Grove restaurant (Swan Resort). Also great! Our server was Carla. She was so attentive and nice! We also ate at Il Mulino (also Swan) for dinner. The food and service were great here too. One evening we had a glass of wine at Todd English's Bluezoo. Tyler the bartender was very attentive and friendly. I loved the ambiance. We have stayed at many Disney resorts over the years. I used to always say the Polynesian Resort was my favorite. I changed my mind on this one as I LOVED my stay at the Dolphin. My new favorite Disney Resort. Everything was so perfect! I can't wait to stay again. Great for all ages!

laurecQ6603KX (10/5): Magical stay - We had the chance to stay at the Dolphin hotel as our daughter was performing at the Cheer Summit competition. Even with a busy weekend competition we had the opportunity to enjoy our stay at the hotel with all the different amenities the hotel had. First when we arrive really late, the front desk agent was kind enough to give us additional bottle of waters as everything was closed since it was 1am. Room was absolutely amazing, comfortable beds and amazing resort view, enjoying the fireworks every night. The housekeeping team is so incredibly creative as they use my daughter’s blanket and plus to make a special design on her bed every day. We also had the chance to eat at Il Milano at the Swan hotel which is right cross from the Dolphin and it was incredible, food, service and the attention to details was on point and everyone made our evening so special as we were also celebrating our wedding anniversary. The hotel has so many incredible amenities such as the pool, arcade area, so many places to eat or grab something quick. Disney store on site and of course the complimentary shuttle that will take you the parks and Disney springs which is so convenient. We can not thank you enough for making our trip absolutely one of the best we had!

Kud1111 (2/5): Overpriced Disney Branding, Not a Luxury Experience - I would not stay at the Walt Disney World Dolphin again, especially considering the pricing and the level of service provided. The hotel itself is clearly older, although it has been reasonably maintained over the years. The lobby and common areas look nice enough, but once you get into the rooms, it does not feel like a luxury hotel experience whatsoever. The rooms are extremely basic for a property charging around $400+ per night. The bathroom setup felt dated, with the toilet and bathtub/shower enclosed behind a separate door in an older-style layout. The best part of the stay was honestly the view overlooking the waterway, boats, and nighttime fireworks in the distance. That was beautiful and probably the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, everything else felt heavily overpriced for what was delivered. I forgot my phone charger at home and had to buy a charging block and cable from one of the hotel stores. The total came to roughly $89 for a basic charger setup. While purchasing it, another guest was trying to buy a single toothbrush priced around $18. Even the employee seemed uncomfortable saying the price out loud. It honestly felt excessive and exploitative. The service experience also did not match the luxury image the hotel tries to project. I had an item delivered to the hotel and asked whether it could be brought up to my room. I was initially told outside delivery personnel were not allowed upstairs, which is understandable. I then politely asked whether hotel staff could instead bring the item up. The response immediately became dismissive, and I was abruptly told, “Actually, you’re going to have to come down and pick it up by the bell staff.” There was no effort to assist or provide hospitality whatsoever. At a true luxury hotel, guests paying premium rates expect premium service. The overall experience here felt more focused on extracting money from guests because of the Disney association than actually delivering luxury accommodations or hospitality. If Disney branding and location were removed from this property, I do not believe this hotel would command anywhere near the rates it currently charges. Overall, the stay felt overpriced, underwhelming, and far below the standard I expected.

Tourist23122490421 (6/5): Disappointed and reconsidering Marriott in the future - I want to start this review by saying my 3 star review is because of the location. Otherwise, I would give it 1 or 2 stars. We have stayed at the Dolphin, the Swan and the Swan Reserve many times over the years. I am a Marriott Platinum member which I don't toss around like I am owed something but to give perspective that we travel alot and stay at Marriott properties all around the world. The majority of our stay was fine. At Disney, you don't spend much time in the room but I have no complaints about cleanliness. My chief complaint is around our arrival experience and the abysmal customer service. The place was crazy busy when we arrived so we were patient. However, we were told that self parking was not available at the hotel and if we wanted to self park we had to go next door to the other hotel. That said, they still charge $40/day to self park ½ mile away from the hotel. If you are unable to make that trek or are disabled or elderly, valet parking is available. On our arrival day, the valet told us "today it is $58/day." WHAT?! So, you have made self parking ridiculously inconvenient for paying customers and now want to price gouge for valet parking. That was number 1. We were thrilled that our room was ready upon arrival and we loaded our luggage onto a cart with a bellman. I went directly to the bell stand for our luggage and was told it would be up to the room in 5 minutes. We went to the room and waited.....and waited.....an hour went by. We called the bell stand and were put on hold for a long time and then were told it would be right up. Again, we waited.....I opened the door to go get ice and there were our bags going the wrong direction down the hall. I flagged the bell person down and she LIED and said she had been to the room TWICE and knocked on the door and no one answered. Well, I don't know what door she knocked on but it wasn't ours. Listen, it's ok if you messed up and it was really busy, just say sorry. That was number 2. The icing on the cake was that a bag of leftovers from our lunch was missing. So, trip back to bell services where they let me walk into the bag storage area to look around. The bewildered bell man was looking around and then, I happened to spy our bag on another cart. The food had been sitting outside in the 80 degree weather for over an hour unnecessarily and we threw it away because we didn't feel safe eating it. That was number 3. All that said, if you are still reading this, the location is the best and the price to stay here is usually very decent but we will think long and hard about where we spend our travel dollars again. If the hotel is going to be hosting a large convention that is going to inconvenience their other paying guests, I would suggest letting those guests know about it so they can make other plans if desired. I also think the Swan/Dolphin/Swan Reserve should consider adding parking as a "welcome gift" for those of us that are loyal to the brand---loyalty goes both ways.

Melissa (5/5): Conveninent to Disney Parks, watch out for Valet service! - Proximity and ease to get to the Disney parks. Most of the staff were friendly. All of us (including our 3 yr old) liked the in-room service food and options. Valet service! We were told it would take up to 20 minutes. It took 40 minutes and was completely unnecessary. Didn't seem like they had a good system in place and made us significantly stressed and rushed to get to the airport. After 20 minutes, I went up to the window and was told that someone had our keys. However, we observed that each time a valet staffer was done, they would go get another set. After 30 minutes, I went up again and was told they were sorry, and it would be soon, and that Jonathan had our keys. After 40 minutes, I began to approach each of the valet staff and found Jonathan, who didn't have our keys. Eventually, a staffer, Walter brought up our car. Throughout our wait, we noticed that a majority of the vehicles being brought to the valet area were luxury, and led us to believe that we weren't prioritized based on time, but rather on class (a mid-size rental vehicle).
wphughes (4/5): Dissappointing, overrated chain hotel - An utterly mediocre hotel with cold, chain atmosphere and inattentive service, not to mention bland, poorly appointed suites. Extremely frustrating checkin experience, chaotic parking, and an endless swarm of agitated corporate convention types pacing around with lanyards and business casual pantsuits—essentially bullying and crowding out vacationing families. Very surprising all around. Ultimately a disappointment, we hate it here, and genuiniely wish we had chosen another place to stay. If it were up to us, Disney would end their partnership (cc: Josh D'Amaro) from this property asap.

But I've been to Florida many times and I know that cockroaches are unacceptable in a hotel. Our room was changed after a very long negotiation, but I must warn you about this fact. By the way, it wasn't a big palm cockroach, but a small red one. And the queue at the reception was huge.

It’s very convenient for visiting EPCOT, making it a great choice if that’s your main destination. The property itself is well-maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere. The property itself is nice, and the location is excellent if you’re planning to visit EPCOT. However, getting to Magic Kingdom is inconvenient- you have to take a bus to the transportation center and then transfer to another bus, and the same process applies on the way back. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned, and the refrigerator still had leftovers from a previous guest. Parking was also a major issue. When we arrived, the hotel parking lot was full, and we were directed to park at a nearby hotel for $40 per night. While it’s within walking distance, it was very inconvenient, especially since we were staying several days and had a lot of luggage.

187paiger (4/5): Not Up to Disney Standards - With over 40 Disney property stays under my belt — most of them at the premier resorts — I know what to expect. This visit was for a conference, and even knowing the Swan & Dolphin sits in a slightly different category, I still expected the basics. It started at check-in, where the push for my Marriott rewards number crossed the line from a routine ask into outright annoyance — especially after a long day of travel when I just wanted to get to my room. It didn’t improve from there. We requested daily housekeeping and were out of the room 6–8 hours a day, and it still didn’t get done consistently. The room itself needed attention — peeling paint, water spots, carpet pulling up at the edges. Our entire floor smelled like fried food for the full length of our stay. This isn’t nitpicking; it’s basic maintenance. We’re lifelong Disney fans — we leave in two months for a Disney cruise — so this isn’t coming from someone looking to complain. It’s coming from someone who was genuinely surprised that this hotel carries Disney’s name. My hope is that management invests in a real refurbishment, or that Disney reconsiders the association. If this had been my first Disney hotel experience, I’m not sure I’d have ever booked again.

You are supposedly paying a premium so you don't pay for parking at Disney, but you are paying a higher rate here. Sanford_FLShannon (6/5): The Dolphin just isn’t great - There was a $50 resort fee and $40 fee nightly and other miscellaneous fees added on my bill. The parking was not available at the Dolphin and it meant we had to unload bring our suitcases to our room and then walk back down. Wait for 10 minutes to get a key from ballet to be able to move my car over to the Swan hotel. Which other next-door is about a 10 minute walk. The view that we had was of a back employee entrance and almost like in urban factories zone. The bathroom had rest in certain areas and overall the hotel just feels dated, including the carpet. One of the towel had some kind of like clay on it, which might’ve been from the spa, but either way it was kind of gross that it wasn’t very clean

sunnysunshine2024 (10/5): Enjoyed, will be back! - I was wowed by my recent stay at The Dolphin. I appreciated all the conveniences and we could have easily stayed on the property for all four nights if you never wanted to leave; incredible dining options, phenomenal pool for both adults and children and close to both the boardwalk, Epcot and Hollywood Studios by either walking or water taxi. The beds were comfortable and roomy and I enjoyed the views of the property from my room. Literally the only complaint I have is they need to have some more budget friendly wine options for purchase in Fuel, their convenience store. The cheapest I could find at the time was $40 but when I walked over to the Swan at the end of my trip, they had options for $29, still pricey, but definitely better.

Waderlust_Traveler (6/5): Count your days Dolphin - I'm going to preface this by saying I haven't stayed here since pre-covid because on all my previous trips, I always had problems. However, I had a super last minute trip to Disney and found a reasonable rate here so I figured I would give it another chance. Big mistake. Huge. (Okay maybe a slight exaggeration). I arrived around 10:30pm and literally got the last spot in the parking lot. When I got to the desk, I asked what the other options were for parking should that happen again and I was told my key would let me in to the parking lots at Swan or Swan Reserve and I could park there. I was asked if I wanted housekeeping daily and I said yes. Got my key and went to my room. Room smelled kind of musty or like there was a pet in there previously. I opened the sliding door to get some fresh air but the room never smelled better throughout the weekend. Room could definitely use a renovation as everything seemed a little older but the bed was very comfortable. I didn't love how the shampoo, lotion, shower gel etc all had such a masculine smell. I didn't want to smell like a dude all weekend but I understand that's the brand's decision so nothing they can do. Day 2 I drive back to the hotel to find they had completely closed the Dolphin parking lot. I drove over to Swan and surprise surprise, my key didn't work to let me in. Luckily there was a woman in the booth who said "oh, no your key won't let you in here. Just let the attendant know when you're leaving that you're staying at Dolphin." She told me they had closed the parking lot for an upcoming event that night. Cool. Again, super packed parking lot but I was able to find a spot. Fun fact it was a solid 15 minute walk from the parking lot to my room where at about 4pm, my room wasn't cleaned. I left again around 5:30pm and Housekeeping was still in the hallway. I was hopeful maybe they hadn't gotten to my room yet but when I returned that night, my room wasn't touched. They did clean it the day after though. Discovered the pools aren't heated which was a shock to many people who were lounging around and loudly complaining about it. Maybe it was just me, but I had a difficult time figuring out on their website and app what restaurants had lunch and it didn't seem there were any with any sort of mobile ordering option which I would have expected at a resort this size. Room service isn't available for lunch and no mimosas for breakfast? Outrageous! Best part was the fireworks view from the room which was an unexpected surprise. Bottom line: They don't have enough parking for their rooms/conference space and you can really tell the service difference between here and a Disney resort.

I asked so then you can walk back over here or there’s a shuttle. Just like that ! Period. Room they gave me was by a pathway and had a cigarette but thing there. meghano2016 (8/5): Didn’t want to go home! - Pros: Beautiful resort. The location is perfect. Daily housekeeping. Got upgraded from a King Larger Premium Room to a larger suite. Front desk was quick to send up anything we needed. Free water bottles. Our room was lovely and quiet. Mobile order worked great for the coffee shop. Food at the Cabana was good. Love watching the Epcot fireworks from the bridge. The roll away was a nice twin bed. Cons: our room was not ready at 4:00, but management gave us a double room to store our groceries and luggage in while we went to the pool. That room smelled like a teen’s cleats. I would have been very sad if that was our room for the week.

Stacy (8/5): Would stay again and reccomend once the hotel refurbishes the rooms and improves housekeeping performance. - Location, location, location!! Restaurants on-site. Employees were friendly and helpful. The Disney shuttle was great as well as the easily walk ability to Boardwalk and 2 parks. Steak at Bourbon steak restaurant was expensive and meat was tough. Not quality product. Overall food was bland. However the service was delightful. Our rooms had an old, unusable phone which was also dirty. The room had not been vacuumed thoroughly before our arrival. The shampoo and hand wash were also empty. Curtains dirty and ripped. Overall expected a better job at cleaning. Hotel needs some refurbishment. Doors slam shut and it’s alarming to hear the neighbors doors slam their doors all hours of the day and night. Beds were clean and comfortable. Water was complimentary and stocked which was nice. Room service and guest assistance was fast and friendly!

Allison (7/5): - I loved the pool and hot tub, the restaurant options, the closeness to Epcot. The staff were very friendly. The transportation from magic kingdom. I was the second to arrive with my five year old daughter before fireworks ended. There wasn’t a line or any sort of order. I just knew I was 2nd to arrive. Once the bus finally came we were pushed out of the way, I had to scream that my child was being shoved. It was awful. They need a better system for a line to Get on. It was chaotic. I hope That this doesn’t happen to someone else.
