• Lucy (9/5): Great vibe, lovely room, fab breakfast, super location oh and terrace for views - Really interesting decor and surroundings and vibe. Thoughtful touches to room, felt like a nice homely stay rather than standard hotel room. Staff lovely, breakfast delicious. Rooftop terrace is a lovely touch, great views at night. Checkout of 11 was also great. Great bar in the evening, great location (brick lane and all the amazing restaurants, near Spitalfields), round the corner from aldgate east so quick access to central London. Nothing really; air con is the only thing that would have made the room better during this week’s heatwave, but a decent fan was provided and windows opened well so it wan’t too bad. Will definitely return.

Het ontbijt was beperkt in keuze en op zaterdag zelfs onvoldoende voor alle gasten. Jammer dat het personeel niet in staat is om dit beter te organiseren.

• Annabelle (10/5): A true charming gem in a fantastic location! - Charming hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were so friendly, the breakfast was everything you needed with refills on barista style coffee and very tasty food. The rooms were very clean and yes on the small side but that only added to the charm. The check in/out experience couldn't have been easier and we will 100% be back whenever we visit london. Nothing, 10/10 experience

• Joanna (10/5): - We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Everything exceeded our expectations – the atmosphere, the design, and the overall vibe of the hotel were just perfect. The location is fantastic: very convenient with easy access to the metro and buses, but also ideal if you enjoy walking. We loved being able to stroll to the City and Soho on foot. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming – we truly felt taken care of from the moment we arrived. Great breakfasts, good coffee, a warm and cozy room, and the option to store our luggage made the whole experience even more comfortable. Everything was just spot on. We will definitely be back!

• Andreas (8/5): Modern renoviertes Pub mit viel Charme in Top Lage - Top Lage in Seitenstraße nahe Bus und Ubahn Station Aldgate East. Wunderschönes, altes Gebäude perfekt modernisiert und sehr sauber. Highlite ist die Dachterasse mit Kräutergarten und toller Aussicht. Außergewöhnliches Frühstück mit top Produkten. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete, saubere Zimmer mit viel Charme. Musikanlage mit interessanten, voreingestellten Sendern. Betten sehr gut, aber für zwei etwas schmal.

• Marion (7/5): - L'équipe était très agréable et sympathique, la déco et l'emplacement + le fait de pouvoir laisser mes bagages avant check in ou aprés check out. c'est un vieil immeuble donc effectivement sonore, difficile je pense de limiter les bruits de vie de l'immeuble, par contre peut être tenter de mieux isoler des bruits extérieurs. Le petit déjeuner le premier matin avait été dévalisé à 9h30, comme c'est un buffet, cela n'est pas que la responsabilité de l'hotel, mais la gestion de la disponibilité pour l'ensemble des guests aurait du être mieux anticipée.

• Simpson (8/5): A friendly stay for solo/couple travellers. - Check-in was quick, easy and friendly. Staff are more than helpful and willing. They kept me well watered and advised the best route to Tottenham Court Road. I stayed in Room 2, and it's the perfect size for solo/couple travelling. Everything you need, nothing you don't. DAB radio on a low volume was a pleasant way to enter the room. Breakfast is great - I had the porridge with syrup and there are grab-and-go granola pots if you're in a rush. Americano coffee freshly made. I only heard about the rooftop terrace as I was checking out and I'd love to see that if I stay again. Being on the first floor, the noise from the road can be disruptive. I was woken up every hour or two by car engines revving or groups of noisy people passing.

• Jessica (9/5): Boendet var litet och personligt och väldigt mysigt att bo på. - Mycket Trevlig personal,, välstädat och bra frukost. Mycket mysig bar på kvällen. Lite små rum och liten säng men det gör inte så mycket då man bara sover där. Toalettdörren hade mer att önska.

• Georgina (9/5): Unique room, value for money, great location. - We liked how the room was cause it was small but not too small and the layout was very unique. We love a room that is a bit different from the rest! Also the bar is so romantic and secluded at an evening time. Maybe some instructions on how to use the coffee machine. Also a bigger bin for the actual bedroom so we could put our takeaway rubbish away.
• Nadia (9/5): - Perfect location, breakfast was great with fresh coffee and pastries and everything just really good quality, but what made the stay were the fantastic staff. They were so lovely, friendly and attentive and kind when we told them about the accident our family members had had during the day which delayed their check-in. Thanks for the free olives with our bar drinks too! Will definitely be staying again. Great for the price. Aircon rather than an electric fan would be preferred Very small bathroom, and the door didn't 100% close so wasn't fully private - but not a deal breaker just might not suit other people

• Miriam (10/5): - Utrolig venligt personale, super belligenhed og helt vildt fint værelse og faciliteter. Sengen er var til den lille side, men vandtrykket var formidabelt og pubben nedenunder, som også er hvor morgenmadsserveringen finder sted, er megahyggelig. Kæmpe anbefaling!

Personale molto disponibile, sia al check-in che al check-out per quanto riguarda la custodia dei bagagli. Abbiamo avuto modo di sfruttare il terrazzo e la colazione è molto positiva. Ci è stata anche data una camera all'ultimo piano come richiesto. Nulla.

• jason (10/5): Last minute choice was not dissapointed - Location was great middle of town but off the main road. Jack the ripper area. Pillows were fantastic and the room is larger than the usual London rooms. Great staff. Personally I need more for breakfast but Its a personal and locational thing. It was prepared nicely . If you get a high number room prepare for stairs
• Sarah (8/5): The welcoming staff and the brilliant location made for a great stay - Lovely, welcoming staff. Very accommodating with specific requests. Excellent continental breakfast with charming and friendly service. Very relaxed. The location is absolutely excellent for a brilliant taste of London - the City, Brick Lane and historic Spitalfields on your doorstep. The rooms are bijoux (but still well designed) and can feel warm (fans are provided). The hot water in the shower was scalding and felt there should be some safety catches on the windows at the higher levels.

• Nigel (8/5): I arrived feeling a little disappointed when I learnt of the limited offer in terms of breakfast and evening food offer, - I love the interior design of the compact rooms, which suit a solo traveler, and most of all its corner location, with breakfast in the bar looking out through windows onto an ever changing panorama of east end London street life. I think it’s unfortunate that the hotel has stopped offering its exceptional cooked breakfasts which really made the place distinctive. The ‘continental’ breakfast was of a very high standard , and I was thankful for the availability of a bowl of v good porridge. I’d intended to have supper in the bar too, but the offer was very limited; charcuterie-rye dishes only.

• Segers (8/5): Prima - Het ontbijt was heerlijk en prima in orde. Het personeel was vriendelijk en aanspreekbaar. Het ligt heel dicht bij het metro station en er zijn heel veel eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Het hotel heeft ook een heel mooi interieur. De kamer was klein, het bed was heel cozy. Prima te doen met een partner maar nu met een vriendin wel wat klein. We sliepen er maar 1 nacht, langer had niet gehoeven. Denk er ook aan dat er geen lift is en het best stijle trapjes zijn.

• Georgina (10/5): Brilliant, comfortable place for a good nights rest! - Incredible breakfast. Room was compact but had everything I could want. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Well placed outlets. Staff are very friendly and helpful - they helped me with checking in late on a Sunday very kindly. The bathroom door is shaded glass. I was alone so I didn’t mind at all. If travelling with a partner it would probably be fine too. I wouldn’t like it if travelling with a friend.

• Galyna (10/5): - Bivanje v hotelu The Buxton je bilo res prijetno. Hotel je zelo lahko najti, navodila za prihod pa so jasna in enostavna. Ker smo prispeli pozno, smo brez težav našli vhod in ključe, kar nam je veliko pomenilo. Soba je bila zelo prijetna, topla in predvsem čista. Zjutraj se sicer sliši okolica, vendar so poskrbeli za zamaške za ušesa, tako da to ni bil problem. Kopalnica je manjša, a ima vse, kar potrebuješ: tuš in WC. Na voljo so tudi osnovne toaletne potrebščine – šampon, conditioner in gel za tuširanje, pri umivalniku pa milo in krema za roke. V sobi je tudi kavomat, tako da si lahko brez težav narediš kavo ali skuhaš čaj. Zajtrk je kontinentalni in čisto dovolj za dober začetek dneva, osebje pa je izjemno prijazno in ustrežljivo. Na splošno res priporočam ta hotel — odlična izkušnja in zelo udobno bivanje.

Clientele in the pub were sophisticated which gave a good vibe. Told one of the staff about the shower head holder needed fixing which he said he would sort out, yet didnt communicate that it would take a while to get someone to replace the fitting. • Barry (8/5): A tidy, small hotel at a good price in central London - The is a convenient location in East London and at a good price comparable to others in the area, the rooms are good and the and the bar area is too, staff a super friendly and helpful. We have stayed at their sister hotel, The Culpepper up the road previously Bathroom is small and compact and unfortunately there is a lot of road noise due to its location, we were there on a hot summer evening so needed windows open which made is a bit noisier. Breakfast is a very modest affair which the owner did take the time to explain that this was to keep the price down - I think we would have preferred a ‘room only’ price and get b’fast elsewhere.

Lungo la strada presenza di innumerevoli ristorantini internazionali per tutte le tasche. Non prevalentemente turistico ma più da "local". Aggiungerei una sedia o un appoggio più basso o degli appendini per poter appendere abiti in uso.

• Dani (10/5): Perfect Whitechapel/ Bricklane stay. - It is really well situated, straddling Whitechapel and Brick Lane. It’s 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station. It’s clean, well decorated and comfortable. The staff cannot do enough for you. The bathroom cosmetics supplied were lovely. I really like the way the rooms were designed - a cube with a toilet/ shower room. Compact and welcoming. It was such a welcome treat after having to move there from the disastrous room just that I had been booked into just along Brick Lane. Wonderful, I cannot recommend highly enough. I liked everything!

Not really a problem for me as I was on the top floor and got in late but I imagine the lower floors are quite noisy as it’s above a pub.

• Danielhm (9/5): Short but sweet - Breakfast and staff were great, location - really good, hip Brick Lane full of cool shops, cafes and restaurants, walking distance to the metro, market and tesco. Very diverse and pedestrian friendly. For the guest of the hotel there is a great rooftop terrace available with the view of the city. Soundproofing could be better, but didn't interfere with our sleep, even though we were on a low floor. Bathroom is very small and basic, but adequate.
