Guest Reviews
- Mary (10/5): - Great experience and very accommodating staff Nothing
- Diane (10/5): Great1 - location, great hotel and staff.
- Sean (10/5): - Excellent location, staff friendly and very helpful.
- GB (8/5): - Great location, easy to get to. Clean, spacious rooms. Easy check-in. The room was extremely cold and nothing could be changed about that - no heating in the room, and noisy air con managed centrally by the hotel. We had to ask for many extra blankets; and got cold very fast in the room.
Hot water took a long time to come and the overall water pressure was low - not great for showering.
- David (8/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful stay - Excellent location and spotless clean
- Daniel (7/5): Nice, but a few disturbing details - Good location, spacious room Poor sound insulation .
Fridge in room couldn’t be set: every liquid turned into ice
- Donald and Anneli (10/5): FANTASTIC HOTEL - DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE ❤️ - Amazing hotel! Amazing experience!!! Everything was fantastic!
- Guest (8/5): -
- Lonergan (4/5): - Location Standards have slipped
- Andrew (9/5): 5 Night Stay in Manhattan. - Fantastic hotel, central to all the local attractions including Times Square and Central Park, which were all within a comfortable walking distance. Access to the Subway to travel further was again close by as were local eateries and bars. Overall, a fabulous Irish Hotel which felt like home away from home. I couldn't find fault with anything.
- Masinir1 (10/5): Gear location and hotel for weekend in NYC - Such a gem in NYC. Awesome location, GREAT staff, bar restaurant, and makes you feel like in Europe. We stayed in Hyde suite. Spacious, cozy, such a comfortable bed. Definitely will be back again. Spend Easter weekend with family could not have been a better choice.
- Cliona (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (9/5): -
- Pamela (7/5): Great staff and clean - but please fix the AC if a guest wants it on! - Staff was attentive and helpful! It was SO warm in the room. The fan blew hot air, even on cool and I was offered a box fan. It was still incredibly warm and I had difficulty sleeping.
- SHEILA (8/5): Too much money for no view of anything except brick and we had a SUITE - The location to the crab house Nothing but back walls to look at out the window
- jonathan (10/5): -
- Aiden (10/5): An amazing stay perfect for a long weekend - Everything
Staff were excellent Nothing

- teesmo99 (10/5): Quiet oasis on Lex - For me, an excellent NY hotel is one that allows you to forget you are in NY. I say this as someone who grew up here.
This place is understated and quiet, with a gentle Irish vibe. Room was pretty big for NY and very tidy and clean. It’s about 16 floors and only a few rooms per floor, so it doesn’t have that giant NY hotel feel. I’d stay here again.
For tourists - the location is excellent. Right in midtown and the art museums are a walk or subway to the north and theater district also easily accessible.
BTW I stayed at their other hotel near Grand Central a few years ago and liked it as well.
- aog59 (10/5): Breakfast - Tania L still works at Fitzpatrick’s Hotel on Lexington in New York, and it was such a lovely surprise to see her again. We returned because our previous experience was so good, and Tania is a big part of that. She is always so nice, friendly, and incredibly efficient at her job. She goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome and looked after. Staff like Tania are the reason people return. Thank you for another great experience!
- theotherJTs (10/5): Excellent choice, perfect location, stay here in NYC! - The Fitzpatrick is an ideal location and excellent value for NYC. We came in February to visit our daughter and husband who had recently moved to the Upper East Side. We checked in right before the big snow storm and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious two-room suite. The check-in was very quick and efficient (love this after a long day of travel from the West Coast), service so friendly and the room warm (perfect!) and spotless. In a noisy city, the Fitzpatrick offers a quiet retreat, but is still only a few minutes walk from Central Park and many midtown sites. (If you want to head to any other part of Manhattan, there is subway access very close by.) The hotel has a convenient bar and restaurant for breakfast and end-of-day relaxation. We loved the friendly bartender and the convivial, relaxing and warm vibe after a busy day of slogging through snow and hopping on subways. The only thing we missed during our stay is a better in-room coffee set up, however, in addition to the downstairs café, there are excellent places within a short walk (Maman on Lex) for good coffee and breakfast noshes. The Fitzpatrick is an excellent choice for seasoned NYC visitors. It has everything you need!

- T2781EJcarolynr (10/5): Great Stay at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan - We stayed at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel for 4 nights in February.
The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly. The Fitz Restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel location in New York City.
- Maureen (10/5): Fun and great service! - So friendly and helpful. Coffee not strong enough
- U1116OCsueb (10/5): This is the hotel you are looking for! - The location is convenient to everything. The hotel is charming exceptionally clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Stayed during the blizzard of 2026 had a delicious breakfast while watching the snow fall. Nice restaurant/bar if needed to meet friends or have a drink. The rooms are very nice and the value of this hotel can’t be beat. It is our new hotel for the city. I highly recommend this Irish hotel.
- CookLikeJames (10/5): One of New York City’s hidden gems - Tucked away in Midtown, the **Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel** is truly one of New York City’s hidden gems. In a city filled with towering mega-hotels, this boutique property offers something increasingly rare: spacious rooms, genuine warmth, and a team that makes you feel like a valued guest rather than a reservation number.
Our group stayed for four days during a busy work trip, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Hotel manager Chris went above and beyond to help coordinate multiple bookings and ensure everything ran smoothly for our team. Organizing accommodations for a group in Manhattan is no small task, yet every detail was handled with professionalism and care.
What sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every team member works together to create an atmosphere that is welcoming, efficient, and gracious. In the restaurant, Tania greeted us warmly at every meal, remembering our preferences and making each breakfast and dinner feel personal. The food is consistently delicious, with comforting Irish selections like shepherd’s pie alongside other well-prepared classics — a lovely nod to the hotel’s heritage.
The suites are especially ideal for larger groups or extended stays. They’re generously sized (a true luxury in NYC), comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out — perfect for both relaxing and catching up on work between meetings.
If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in Manhattan that combines space, charm, attentive service, and a touch of Irish hospitality, the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel is an outstanding choice. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying again.
- Aileen (10/5): -
- Robin (4/5): Pleasant staff was the only real positive here. We would not stay here again. - Clean and convenient location, friendly staff. Very cramped room, no bar soap in bathroom (was advised to use bath gel dispenser in shower for face washing over sink). TV lost network connection to many broadcast channels (including Olympic coverage on NBC). Property is right over subway line, so noise and bed-rattling occurred all night.
- bundy855 (10/5): Top quality in perfect location Fitzpatrick Hotel - The best location and fabulous comfortable rooms . Had the most comfortable stay with touches like Barry’s Irish tea bags and great bathroom bespoke shower toiletries. The staff were approachable and friendly in reception and the bar.
We had a really fabulous meal in the hotel bar/ restaurant the best burger ever top quality. 10/10
- 393dairec (10/5): Favourite hotel to stay in NYC - Excellent room, and location. Being Irish, I always want to support Irish hotels. Any time I am in New York I book the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. Everything about the stay is just easy. Check in, easy, check out, easy and no hassles encountered. Incredibly safe area, great location for all that Manhattan has to offer. I have walked from the front door to Battery Park and back - if you feel like walking this is a walkable hotel to any location in Manhattan. Staff always make it feel like a home away from home home as opposed to a hotel. I feel they GENUINELY really care about their guests. I will return again later in the year. Daire C
- 258dirka (10/5): It was a holiday that we will never forget - We can not recommend this hotel enough. From the moment we arrived we were met with friendliness hospitality. All the team went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant and as relaxing as possible. The hotel and rooms were spotless. This hotel is also within walking distance to all main attractions such as ;central park, Time Square and Grand Central. The subway is less then 5 minutes walk and the E train will pretty much get you anywhere you want to get in the city . If you book this hotel, you will not be disappointed. Five star review. Thank you Fitzpatrick Lexington for making our stay memorable and enjoyable. Can't wait to return. Dirk and Joanne
- Cosmopolitan370827 (10/5): Fabulous - We are just back from the most amazing stay in Fitzpatricks on Lexington Avenue. The location is excellent and everyone was really friendly. A big thank you to Chris who made our stay in New York one we will never forget.
- 358darak (10/5): Amazing ! - We stayed at the Fitzpatrick Hotel for six nights and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The rooms were immaculate and surprisingly spacious for New York City. The location was absolutely perfect so central and ideal for tourists who want to explore on foot.
The staff were outstanding, in particular Chris, who went above and beyond to make sure our trip was as enjoyable as possible. He truly made a massive difference to our experience and was absolutely amazing.
11/10 for Fitzpatrick’s Lexington we will definitely be back. Thank you, Chris, for making our trip so special.

- Julianne (7/5): I was very pleased with the location but disappointed in the service and offer for a 4 star hotel. - The location is excellent. Very easy to to get around with both metro and taxi very accessable. The staff was completely disengaged and certainly not welcoming nor did they demonstrate any interest in me as a guest. For example, everytime I entered or left the hotel there was no greeting nor even recognition of presence. Not only a potentail security risk but for a 4 star hotel this is simply not standard. I run a small 2 star hotel in Switzerland and my staff are attentive, engaged and make guests feel welcome and considered. The hotel is not very well kept. The carpets are dirty, the bathrooms are in need of a good and thorough cleaning. The sofa bed is absolutley unusable. The equipment in the room, tv is very dated, the lighting in the bathroom is insufficient and furniture is need of a good steam cleaning. There was no water in the room????

- Stephen (10/5): -
- Kevin (10/5): First time at the Fitz, Will not have to look for another hotel on my next trip....I already found i - Amazing Staff: Front desk, Housekeeping and Bartender......Great ! N/A
- Henry (5/5): - Facilities is old but passing as new and modern
- Donal (6/5): -
- Raegan (10/5): - Great location, close to the subway, and within walking distance to midtown attractions. The room was amazing and very comfortable, great size for a New York hotel room! They were able to give us an early check-in, which was incredible and made our first day in the city even better! The hotel was seriously great, and the staff was amazing. The ONLY thing I can complain about is the air conditioning in the room. We had an unusually hot weekend for NYC in January, and with the older AC unit and only one vent, the room was hot, but it wasn't unbearable. We opened the window, and that helped a lot.
- Ubaldo (4/5): - Posizione, Struttura datata, impianto aria datato , spazio sotto porta camera , affacci camera
- Passenger549856 (10/5): Home from Home. - I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now, and prob should try other hotels in NYC but I don’t think I will find a better hotel that provides the same experience and feeling of being “home”.
There are lots of impersonal hotels around, but this is definately not one!
The rooms are lovely and spacious, and the suite was perfect for our family that allowed us to relax after some busy days sightseeing.
The staff are lovely and great to see familiar faces welcoming us back!
Big shout out to Chris and Shane and thank you for everything.
Looking forward to coming back soon!
- Sinéad (10/5): Great location, staff, beds and cosiness. - Great location, staff, beds and cosiness.
Staff were especially welcoming, hotel porters, staff at reception, house keeping staff and staff in restaurant went above and beyond.
We will be back! There is nothing I didn't like.
- Gayle (8/5): Great location with top class staff! - The location is brilliant! Very central. Close to 5th Ave. Walking distance of lots of sights. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Nice quiet bar with great range and big comfortable rooms. Our room on the first night was cold. Once the staff were informed we were immediately looked after. Our suite was fabulous and the staff were exceptional-especially Chris. Thank you!
- Laura (9/5): - Really does feel like home away from home - staff were fantastic, so welcoming & friendly.
Location is unmatched, walking distance to 5th Avenue, Central Park, Times Square - and a very short walk to the subway.
Rooms are traditional and very cosy.
Will definitely be back.
- John (10/5): - Location

- Anne (10/5): Ftizpatrick's is a gem of a hotel with great family feeling. I'll be back! - Fitzpatricks is a hotel I return to BECAUSE rooms are lovely, staff are terrific, it has a family feeling in a great location in the city, near Bloomingdales and as a woman it feels uber safe even walking around at night. Even the bar is cosy, friendly for women. The management goes out of its way to make customers feel special. I LOVED EVERYTHING. Fitzpatrick's is truly exceptional. For a woman, it feels really safe and warm and friendly.
- J9491DPjaned (8/5): Great location and comfortable boutique hotel. - The Hotel is nice and clean. Room comfortable and nice to have extra space in suite but view non inspiring. Dinner on Christmas Day disappointing. Would be afraid to eat anything there again it was so bad.
- Elisabeth (10/5): -
- Aidan (10/5): -
- Joe90Glyncorrwg (10/5): Great Hotel in fantastic location - We stayed in Fitzpatrick’s over the busy Christmas period. All the staff were very friendly and special thanks to Tania for her brilliant spicy bloody mary’s.
The room was great, Queen sized bed no view but room was big and roomy. Water left every night. Air con was a bit antiquated, but worked well against the baltic New York weather. Hôtel is centrally located so nearly all attractions are walkable.
Two subways are close on 59th and Lex or 53rd and Lex. Staff on reception told us which line to get as the official map is just about unreadable.
Close by is PJ Clarkes - best Irish pub and great raw bar (55th and 3rd Ave) and worth a special visit The Waldorf Astoria on 49/50th St and Park Avé. A visit to their cocktail bar by the clock and Cole Porter’s piano is a special treat $$ but worth it.
Lastly, a special thank you to Shane from Donegal, a great ambassador for the Fitzpatrick Group, friendly and very helpful. Many thanks Shane and his team.
- Nancy (9/5): Nice place to stay. - The location is excellent. Our room -1103 - was a very comfortable size with good sized closet, queen bed, large desk and chair, two nightstands, TV, and bureau. And there was still room to walk around. The bathroom was comfortably roomy but during the very cold night the bathroom was very cold. The room was quiet. The only thing I would have liked would have been a free breakfast of some kind. All told, a very nice hotel. Cold bathroom!
- Lorraine (10/5): Fantastic, receptionist in particular was excellent - Location was perfect Quite noisy outside
- Lourde (8/5): Really enjoyed- staff excellent - A bit dated now
- Marco Aurélio (7/5): Nada a acrescentar! - Localização e o atendimento dos funcionários Quarto antigo sem as modernidades para conforto! Poucas tomadas sem USB e péssima iluminação!
- Shannon (6/5): -
- Peter (8/5): -
- Brian (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Staff very friendly & helpful. -
- Andreas (8/5): -
- Seniortourist (8/5): A Mixed Bag - There's a lot to like about the Fitzpatrick Manhattan, most notably that 100% of the staff are congenial, polite, friendly, helpful and quick to respond to every query or request. The location is excellent. Having a restaurant inside the hotel and option for room service was also much appreciated. We were in a deluxe suite, which was spacious and looked exactly as in photos. But we had NO heat in the room during a cold and rainy week, and we were told heat only get turns on starting November 1st. The little electric heater we were given was practically useless. This was OUTRAGEOUS given the high price of the room. Another flaw is that there were no drawers in which to put such items as underwear and other clothing best placed in a drawer. Plenty of hanging closet space, but only a couple of open shelves to put our other items. Very unattractive when visitors came to our room. Also, as is so often the case, no drawers or storage or place to put personal bathroom items and no place to properly hang towels that we might have been willing to re-use. Who designs these spaces anyway?
- rosalind (8/5): It’s was a magical weekend for all 13 of us staying with you - Didn’t have breakfasts there. Love the location Showers need to be upgraded
- Lisa (8/5): Rooms need upgrading - Perfect location. The hotel is clean and in good repair, but the rooms are dark and dated.
- Catherine (8/5): -
- John (7/5): -
- David (9/5): Great spot for a longer stay. - We had a room with a sitting area for a 5 day stay, which was very comfortable for us and visitors. The food at the Fitz was not great, so it was a trade off for convenience at breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and the drinks were fine.
- Jamison (9/5): Overall very positive - Staff was excellent
Restaurant and bar were very good
Room good size and well appointed Bed was too soft
- Lisa (8/5): Quiet hotel in an excellent location - Accommodating staff, perfect midtown location, comfortable bed, great shower. Interior rooms are quiet. The restaurant, Fitz, serves a very good breakfast. As others have mentioned, the decor in the lobby and guest rooms is stark, dark and tired.
- demet (8/5): -
- Luminita (7/5): - It was more expensive than advertised. Taxes applied were charged twice. The total price exceeded what I was anticipating.
- Jorge (10/5): -
- Alice (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The door to my room needed repair. It was very difficult to open and close.
- gianluigi (8/5): -
- bridgeens2019 (4/5): Grubby and dated. - Shabby and run down. Not worth the money stayed here a few years ago and it’s really gone downhill since
Dark and dank no one in the bars of an evening and breakfast was inedible even after an hours wait. A lot of Irish people aspire to stay here but it’s a rip off and they should be ashamed of themselves. Great location though but I wouldn’t stay again or recommend.
- Katharine (6/5): - Dark and dated; quasi-clean
- John (10/5): - Always enjoy staying here
- Thomas H (10/5): - .
- Thornton (8/5): All in all a great location. Will definitely be back - Location ideal. Room a perfect size. Clean. Good food. Not much. Staff in restaurant were nice. Overheard a few heated discussions with manager which should be done behind closed doors
- Dinga (7/5): - Not applicanle
- Traveler739757 (10/5): Stop the search!! - My son and I went to New York for a week on a mum and son little adventure. Being Irish, I wanted to support Irish hotels so we booked the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. From the second we arrived we were greeted with the most incredible welcome. The team were so lovely and so kind and even gave us an upgrade. This really did make such a difference as we had travelled such a long way to get there, I felt incredibly safe, cared for. It really felt more like we were coming home every evening as opposed to just coming into a regular hotel. The team you are named they asked us about our day they gave us recommendations on where to go. They genuinely really care about their guests we cannot wait to return next year.
- Henrique (5/5): Suficiente - Localização O trato de alguns empregados
- ellen b (10/5): - Not huge and tight in the middle of midtown nyc
- Christian (10/5): - Great experience!
- James (6/5): Just Okay - This was my second stay at the Fitzpatrick. It's a perfectly nice hotel but, honestly, not amazing. Reception staff were very nice and helpful, and the room was fine but...other staff were consistently very loud as they worked in the hallway (loud walkie-talkies) outside my room and in the restaurant area where I had to listen to the hostess planning a trip with her boyfriend on speaker phone--as if a customer weren't sitting 20 feet away. My room view was of a brick wall and the climate control (or whatever it was) kept me up much of the night by switching on and off (even after I turned off the AC). So, not a great visit. But also not terrible. I guess that explains why I found a vacancy during the UN general assembly week.
- sandybN4060EQ (10/5): Great Family weekend - We stayed 2 nights and had 5 rooms and we all couldn’t of been happier.Spacious rooms, excellent service ,good location, good food.We would definitely stay here again
- Jacob (10/5): - Excellent
- Julie (4/5): Disappointed - The photos on your site don’t tell the story.
The carpet in bedroom was old and very worn. Bathrooms are not updated. The white robe in room was worn and frayed at both sleeves. The sheets had spots and also seemed worn. The elevators were old and slow. The lobby looks fine and elegant but it stops there.
- John (10/5): - Bar is great
- maria (8/5): -
- Mary (8/5): -
- Salvador (10/5): 1 NIGHT STAY - This was a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend to anyone! Roomy closet, comfy bed and linens, walkable to everything we wanted to see, bathrooms and lobby were clean, elevator easily accessible!
- Pietra (10/5): Excelente! - Equipe muito prestativa e atenciosa. Quarto muito confortável. Localização maravilhosa. Eu me hospedaria novamente caso retorne à cidade.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good hotel - would recommend - Suite was lovely, huge and spotless and great value. Very large bed and extremely comfortable. Staff were pleasant and professional. Location pleasant and quiet. View of brick wall but it didn't really matter. Quite a walk to Times Square etc which we got used to but ended up getting the subway quite often
- Souleymane (9/5): -
- Adrian (9/5): Fantastic-I would always stay here - Homely Nothing
