- Robin (6/5): - Great location to the train station and Hyde Park. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. What we didn’t like was the thin walls and our room was under the lobby so we heard all foot traffic and roller bags coming and going. We were also basement level and there was a musty smell. Perfect if you are looking for a no frills stay for a decent price.
- JONATHAN LANGELAND (2/5): - This hotel was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The room was extremely dirty, worn down, and falling apart. It clearly hasn’t been properly cleaned or maintained for a very long time. Even worse, there were insects or bed bugs in the beds – something that’s also mentioned in many other reviews, so it’s clearly an ongoing problem. We couldn’t stay another night because bed bugs are both dangerous and highly contagious, so we had to book a new hotel immediately. The receptionist was incredibly rude and arrogant, refusing to take any responsibility for the situation and acting as if it wasn’t a big deal. Totally unprofessional and unpleasant. We strongly recommend finding another place to stay – even if this one looks cheap, it’s absolutely not worth the money.
- Tayah (6/5): Good enough - When we arrived our window lock was broken and I refused to sleep in the room as it was unsafe as I am a young solo female traveler. The receptionist at first didn’t understand what the issue was, and said there was nothing he could do about it and there was nothing else available, then suddenly there was another room to stay in for the night. The room was very small, and I felt like the pictures were a bit deceiving. The room was clean and the cleaners were very nice and accommodating.
- Christina (6/5): - Room was small and not very clean, floor was not vacuumed and we had a red stain on our sheets. Location was convenient close to Paddington but very basic accommodation that could do with better level of cleanliness.
- Benjamin (2/5): - THE PHOTOS ARE A SCAM. This was seriously the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We booked in for 4 nights and we checked out after 1. Just to give you an insight into our experience; we arrived to find mould absolutely caked into the fan in the room, when we asked for a replacement, we were denied. We found a toilet stained yellow that was so filthy I had to go ask the front desk for cleaning supplies so I COULD CLEAN IT MYSELF. Not to mention our room window was immediately on the other side of sewer drains so every time someone in the hotel flushed their toilet, I heard a rush of water that kept me up all through the night. They refused to give me a refund for the other 3 nights we did not stay. If you value your cleanliness, your sanity or your overall well-being; PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

- Alston (6/5): - Stayed here on a budget trip with 3 other individuals. Good price for budgeting folks, but not comfortable or convenient as far as stay. No fridge, microwave. No air condition, handy during the summer. Beds were ok but you get what you pay for. Somewhat near certain rail stations which is good. Front desk relatively friendly. Overall not the best but not the worst. Will recommend for single travelers on a budget.

No BBC TV channels, just a few random freeview channels. Noisy above from smoking area. Certainly not good value for money. Would not recommend it.

- Miss Paula (6/5): Two night stay. - We arrived late at night aeound 10pm. The room was absolutely nothing like the pictures advertised. I also booked a triple room of 3 single beds and we got a double and a single. The bedroom was red hot and has fans on already to try and cool the room. The beds were comfortable, there was no iron, the shower was nice however they had not restocked the shower gel or hand-wash dispensers. They did supply a few little bottles of shampoo. They gave us clean towels and replenished tea/coffee supplies and clean cups. The room was very small but as we were only there to sleep it was fine. It is based near Kensington park and a 15 min walk from paddington station in another direction. Staff were friendly on reception. No breakfast as the kitchen isnt used despite their website saying breakfast was included.
- Delroy (2/5): - I had a very disappointing experience at this property during my 4-night stay. On the first day, I discovered that a valuable personal item was missing from my room. When I reported it to management, I was informed that there was no way to verify how the item went missing and that nothing could be done. No goodwill gesture or support was offered despite the seriousness of the issue. Beyond that, the room itself was extremely small, uncomfortably hot, and not well-maintained. Throughout my stay, I witnessed multiple guests expressing frustration to staff about similar concern of dirty rooms, inconsistent housekeeping, and poor service overall. This was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I’ve had. I would strongly urge others to consider alternative accommodations.

- Jung (4/5): - Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location We had a very unpleasant experience at The Chapter Leisure Inn. Upon check-in, we were given a first-floor room that was clearly not remodeled — everything felt dingy, stained, and dirty. It was in no condition for a family stay, and I refused to accept it. After initially being told that all rooms were booked and nothing else was available, the front desk eventually offered to show us another 4-person room on the third floor. While we appreciated the effort, the room was incredibly small — barely enough space for our luggage — and uncomfortably hot. The window wouldn’t stay open on its own and slammed shut loudly after a short while. We had to wedge a pillow under it just to reduce the noise and avoid being startled every time it closed on its own. Overall, it was a miserable and uncomfortable stay. On the positive side, the staff were polite, and the location was convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the property left much to be desired. I would not recommend staying here unless the hotel undergoes major renovations and maintenance improvements.

- Lorraine (8/5): Nice and lovely views for the price and location - Lovely hotel. For the area we stayed a reasonable price and perfect for any Hyde park activities. However on both mornings housekeeping knocked 3 times despite being told no thank you and even walked in on me a couple of times when I was asleep. That was frustrating and I was indecent ☹️ the other thing to.note there is no ait conditioning but that's standard for smaller chains or hotels. They did however provide a few fans and did what they could to keep us somewhat cool. I would definitely stay again maybe just not in a heatwave and tell reception to leave our room alone whilst we were staying

The room was small for 3 of us and a little dated.. however it was clean and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfy. It was perfect for our needs… and the location of the hotel is brilliant. Will definitely be back to this hotel when I next visit London. Amazing price and great location.
- Colin (6/5): - Property was basic and the basement rooms smelled of damp. Two weird and large skylights above beds with no curtains so bright in the summer. For London, this is acceptable and tolerated but outside of London it would not be worth the money.

The room was very small. It was so hot there that we had to move to a different hotel after the first night. So far I haven't seen any refund from my 3 day paid reservation. Didn't take all of our trash or leave additional toilet paper. In fact, had to ask multiple times for toilet paper, finally bought some ourselves and the cleaning staff took a partial roll and still didn't replace it. Bed was uncomfortable and the room was hot.

There is a heater but it can't be turned on. We stayed for 6 nights but only got 1 bottle of drinking water. Staff are nice. Location is convenient.

- Junko (6/5): - Someday this might be a fairly nice boutique hotel. But not yet. We stayed here for ten days in May 2025. This hotel opened two months ago in one of London's 19th century historic townhome rows and is still under renovation. Our first night was marred by the smell of paint and construction noise as the stairs next to our room was being plastered and painted. At least the room was clean and modernized, with good facilities (except for the shower head, which leaked badly). The next night was quieter, but still some paint smell. The mattress was new and very good. After three nights we moved to another room. It was similarly modern, but the mattress was terrible. We needed towels on it to cushion us against the springs we could feel. The TV was not hooked up and no one could fix it. The windows did not close properly and we used towels to block the cold air. (The windows in this historic district cannot be replaced but a carpenter could fix the problems). So, two nights there and we were moved to a third room for the rest of our stay, which was quite pleasant. The staff was very accommodating and tried to meet our needs, even if a couple of times they over promised what they were able to deliver. Special thanks to Babar, who took the brunt of our complaints. I like the location, a short walk to shops and transportation. The hotel room rate was reasonable. SO, maybe we will stay here again someday, but AFTER they finish the place!

- Chih Yuan (6/5): - Very easy walk to all the main tourist destinations, and very close to the paddington station to catch a train. Felt a little unsafe with the window half opened to the outside when checked in and took a lot of effort to try to close the window, only the find that it was hold shut by loose screws. Great for very short term stay, but not ideal for long term in situates at the basement suites.

- WESLEY (8/5): Muito boa. - Recomendo. O quarto é confortável. So n curte muito o colchao porque fazia o barulho das molas quando se meche. Se tivesse ar condicionado, seria melhor ainda. Mas tinha ventilador q ja ajudou porque o quarto era um pouquinho abafado. Boa localização com metro próximo, restaurantes e mercados próximos. Sem contar q esta a poucos minutos do hyde park. Vale a pena e eu voltaria novamente.
- Jotti Kaur (4/5): - I had to be changed from this room as I could hear people outside the window and there was a balcony where people were walking past. The window had no safety locks and I felt very unsafe. Condition of hotel is not the best either, bathroom was nice but bedroom was ugly. For the future, I'll definitely be paying slightly extra for a more nicer hotel in London but would rather me feel safe, at ease and so I can actually sleep at night!! Not the best experience.

- Offir (6/5): - Excellent staff: everyone at front desk was awesome. Clean bathroom, sheets and towels. HORRIBLE bed, I stayed in room 204..slept 1 Night out of 3. I woke up with a backache every single day of my stay because I could feel the springs in my back. Carpet needs to be ripped off. It is dirty and I killed 1 Little roach in my room. I wouldn’t stay here again

- Sandi (10/5): - Close to Paddington station. Great location. Room is clean. Staff very helpful. My flight arrived early and departed late. They were able to store my luggage for both early arrival and late departure. Will stay again.

- Perry Phillip (10/5): - A wonderful part of town with the convenience of the underground a 5-minute walk away. Easy and friendly check in. Spotless and very comfortable room.

- Stephen (6/5): - Be sure you put the right property into your map. We were dropped off 10 min walk away. Reasonable food and shopping, but it was a bit longer walks. They are still working on upgrading the property. Smokers outside while the windows were open was disappointing.

- Ida (6/5): Meh - Supertrevliga killar mötte mig i receptionen, kom in till mitt rum och ser direkt att det vart hål i toadörren samt otroligt smutsigt på väggarna Luktade otroligt mycket klorin både på toa och i hissen. Fönstret på rummet gick ej att stänga helt så det blev otroligt kallt på kvällen/natten Sen vart det otroligt lyhört, hörde exakt vad grannarna i rummet mitt emot sa. Hjälpte nog inte att rumsdörren vart 3cm ovanför golvet övrigt vart det bra, fräsch toalett och dusch samt en bekväm säng med bra kuddar
