Sarah (8/5): Great service and location - Our overall stay was good, the service by the staff was excellent! Breakfast had variety of options and was fresh. The room we were put in was the only one on the main level and was behind a curtain (which is also by a front door to the building that was closed off). There were two large, frosted windows on one side of the room that were literally next to the road (long blackout curtains are there). We could hear people talking, walking, cars going by, etc. It was fairly disruptive but there weren’t any other rooms available and we survived :) There was also the rumbling of the metro underneath, so if you’re a light sleeper, perhaps verify you won’t be in that particular room. The location was near a few metro options and was in a great location. There was a small fridge which was helpful and a small safe. Room temp was a tad hard to control and the ventilation left the room smelling musty after showers, but that’s how a lot of the rooms are from our experience. I’d say that overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Comfortable bed, good aircon and the windows kept most of the noise out of the room from the busy street outside. A light in the mirror frame kept flickering after turning out the lights was the biggest downside of the room, which caused me to not have the best sleep in the world. Overall would recommend.

Verified traveler (10/5): Noise/Shaking - We could hear and feel the metro under us. The concierge told us that we could change rooms the next day, just not our first night. But we slept really well so we just stayed in the room the whole time. We were the only room on the first floor so I can’t say if the rooms above had the same issue.

Brian (10/5): - While not the busiest area (which helped it be quiet), there were plenty of eating places close, and within 3 blocks were entrances to 2 metro lines which made getting anywhere in Paris a breeze! The staff was awesome, everyone was friendly and helpful. Their breakfast (which we had to buy separately) was really nice and perfect for our needs, and reasonable (for Paris…). The best part was as temperatures climbed, the air conditioning was excellent, way better than other name brand hotels we’d previously stayed at this trip. The room was “cozy”, but we managed and the bathroom was a nice size. We feel we got an excellent value, and with so many choices, we made an excellent one!
Cynthia (8/5): - 24 hour front desk and baggage storage, staffed with nice, helpful people. L'Occitane products in the bathroom. Big, soft, fluffy towels. Daily housekeeping. Quiet room (could hear the Metro, but not overly loud.) Great dining options all within a block. Huge breakfast with pretty much anything one could ask for (eggs, sausage, beans, waffles, brown bread for toast, croissants, butter, jam, yogurt, cold ham slices, cheese slices, all kinds of coffees--and this is just what I remember. It seemed expensive, but I spent the same at a cafe, so this was a great value.) This hotel was a great deal in a great area in the great city of Paris!

The location is excellent in terms of being close to attractions like Montmartre but it does take around 15-30mins via subway etc to reach the more touristy areas (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, etc.). Otherwise as two female travellers we felt very safe. We didn’t use the breakfast service or anything but it was offered which was nice. The rooms were a little tight but clean. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Elevator to get to the hotel room was small, could only fit 1 - 2 persons. Hotel room was a bit on the smaller side as well. Location of the hotel was just a little bit far from all the main attractions. Hotel conditions were a bit older but otherwise our stay there was pleasant.
Antea (4/5): Never again - got a ground floor room - until midnight I could feel the metro, and the room was next to the bus lane and the windows were just a double gazing - so I had to sleep with headphones on, ideal when you’re on a business trip. Breakfast was below average, coffee was horrendous and pastries were undercooked the first day.

I had a balcony to see the city. There is a grocery store walking distance and very accessible for Uber and taxi pick ups. I would HIGHLY recommend the stay here. There is lobby staff 24 hours… and they accommodate all your needs

Chi (10/5): - We had an enjoyable 3 nights here. Great location - very close to the metro and there is a poké restaurant just across the street. Very friendly and helpful staffs. House-keeper did an impeccable job everyday! The only thing that can be improved is the wifi connection. We stayed at the 6th floor and the connection in the room was not great, but it was good at the lobby. We will stay there again next time we go visiting Paris. Recommend!

MOHAMMAD (8/5): - For the price of a cab, you don't get a limo service! This is a very little tiny hotel, I mean very small. My room was like an attic. Staff specially Rabiha and Benoit were super friendly and welcoming. Hotel is really clean. What makes it superb is, its LOCATION. From this hotel to all point of interests just walk. The area is very well animated full of of good spots.

I just wish there were a few more amenities for a longer stay, like a dresser and microwave, either in the room or at least in a common area. You're just getting a comfy bed and bathroom, which may be enough for people that plan to be out all day.

Mery (10/5): - The service was very good, unfortunately, I don't speak French or English and it would be helpful if you had someone at the reception who speaks Spanish to provide better assistance. Regarding the room, I was unlucky that the air conditioning didn't work. They gave me a fan to try to alleviate the heat generated in the room at night while sleeping. Service and cleanliness were excellent!! It would easily be a 10/10, but because of the A/C issue and since I'm a fan of the cold, I will give you 8/10.

Phillip (10/5): - We had a family suite at Hôtel Châteaudun Opéra for 6 nights over New Years' Eve. There are plenty of good dining options available, laundry facilities, and public transport stops within easy walking distance. The staff were very good and spoke enough English for our needs. It's a little far out of the centre of Paris but it's easily walkable as we proved most days of our stay. Rooms were comfortable and possibly above "average Parisian" in size. A few minor inexplicably broken items (e.g. the foot lever on the pedal bin) were bemusing rather than problematic. We also found it a little hot to sleep with only a quilt/doona provided for bed covering - overkill given the efficiency of heating in the room and a simple sheet would likely have been sufficient and more comfortable. Handing the room key to the front desk whenever we left the premises was a bit old school but in some ways it added to the charm. All up, a pleasant stay that facilitated our enjoyment of Paris.

Catherine (10/5): I absolutely LOVED my stay - What a lovely hotel! I so enjoyed my stay and EVERYONE was so kind and were gracious enough to speak English for me since my French is so rudimentary to say the least. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily with fresh towels given. The neighborhood is nice with plenty of restaurants close by and in walking distance. Easy walk to Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and Garnier Opera. The staff even assisted me in getting transportation since I’m intimidated by the Metro (there are Metro stations nearby as well). Luggage storage is available if you should arrive earlier than check in time. My next trip to Paris I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again!

Lauren (8/5): Good value in great location - We loved the location of the hotel, and it was great value for the time of year we traveled. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the room and common spaces were clean and tidy. The two downsides were that we were sometimes woken when other guests went in and out of their rooms late night/early morning - the doors in the hallway slam quite loud and hallway noise traveled very easily into our room (though thankfully we couldn't hear other guests once they were inside their own rooms). I wondered if this could be improved if they put soft close mechanisms on the doors? The second downside was that the TV had only French broadcast TV, we couldn't find stations in other languages. What would be really useful would be updating the TVs to smart TVs so you can log in to your own apps (Netflix, etc). As I'm 8 months pregnant we had early nights on this trip and planned to watch some films before sleeping, which we couldn't do (but I'm guessing most people don't come to Paris to watch TV so perhaps this wouldn't be an issue for most!) All in all I'd stay here again.

Comfortable room with good air conditioning ( it was 34 degrees!); noise double glazing was great with thick curtains to keep out the light. We had a corner front room overlooking a main road and we were not disturbed at all. Very comfortable bed - we are over 6’. Only down side was that the lift was broken for half of our stay and using the stairs was challenging for my bad knee. But it was eventually repaired. Massive building works opposite which is not the hotels fault but did start at 7.00 am & could be heard in the room. Would stay there again.
Olga (6/5): Not worth the money - Hotel is located in the nice area of Paris, however pice of the room is not up to par with condition and comfort of it. Bathroom was a disaster. Stainless sink is all rusted. Impossible to adjust water in the shower. Water doesn’t drain from the tub. Tiles are dirty. toilet flush is on the wall, but is not connected properly, and falls every time you flush. Staff is friendly, but it’s not making the room any better.

Darren (10/5): Good Friendly Hotel - Great Location. - As per title... great location with easy access to all that you would want for Paris - Metro, Buses, Cafés and Restaurants. Staff very helpful, breakfast good and filling. We had a minor issue on arrival which was quickly resolved. Metro noise not really an issue - minor low rumble every now and again. Would definitely be happy to stay there again.

And the room is on Ground Floor which was pretty noisy when you open the window (and don’t feel safe either). They didn’t provide fan at 1st night we stayed. Apart from that, everything was good.
Johann (8/5): Great Location - The room was very spacious for a hotel room in Paris. The breakfast was satisfactory at best. What made my stay in this hotel great was it's close proximity to Palais Garnier, which is close to the main sites of the city.

We arrived about an hour early, the gentleman at the desk took my passport and then took a phone call which seemed personal in nature (he claims it was tech support) and talked and laughed on the phone for over twenty minutes while he had my passport. There was a growing line of people which he ignored. I ordered room service which was TERRIBLE and took over TWO hours (for a prepackaged salad and cup of soup) to arrive. The bathrooms smelled musty and the fan didn’t work. The lights also didn’t work correctly and two complaints to the staff yielded no solution, so we were forced to not have decent light for our three night stay.

Larry (10/5): - Great location, Paris Metro is right outside of the hotel. Breakfast was great. The room was large, clean and the beds were great. the staff was very helpful and friendly
Paul (8/5): Great staff and good value for money room - Great staff, rooms size good , wifi is excellent and breakfast is good. My only issue is the shower heads never stay in position so causes damp and Mould in the bathrooms and difficult to shower.
Dang (8/5): Good hotel in Paris - Good location which nearby gallery lafayette and other attractive place in Paris. Just a small trouble with the heating system (hotel will provide a portable one)
Mark (8/5): Great hotel in Opera district - Had one night stay, very pleasantly surprised by standard and size of the room for a great central location. Staff very helpful and courteous. Will definitely stay again as I am regular visitor on business.
