The staff were very friendly and helpful, even making up 2 breakfast bags for us one morning when we had an early start for a trip. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the coffee machine was accessible 24/7. Located perfectly for the centre of Florence, great restaurants and the main station was a 10 minute walk for trains and buses. Unfortunately they were not able to get our AC to work, despite numerous contacts on that topic. For us it was not too bad, but another week closer to the summer it could have become a real issue.

• Serenella (10/5): È stato bello - Fare colazione in un salone affrescato ha il suo perché . L'accesso sempre aperto alla sala colazione è un plus molto gradito. Semplicemente potersi fare una tisana o un caffè a tutte le ore direi che fa la differenza. Grazie allo staff alla reception sempre pronti e presenti. Camera un po' piccola, la storia si apprezza ma la comodità è meglio. Letto piccolo anche se comodo. Avrei preferito una colazione all'italiana con caffè espresso e cappuccino cremoso, salati e dolci del buffet comunque di ottima fattura.
• Daniele (9/5): - The location was excellent, very central, no more than a 10 minute walk to most attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfy, the shower was great, really warm (could do with a bath mat in the shower as it gets very slippy), and the hair dryer was really good too. I’d highly recommend staying here and I would stay again in a heartbeat! The breakfast isn’t great, it’s fairly basic with not much selection. Theres no tea or coffee in your bedroom, although you can avail of it all day on the first floor where breakfast is, but it would be nice to have it in your room rather than having to go to to a different floor to get tea/ coffee. That’s only a small complaint for otherwise a great stay!

• sandem10 (10/5): Old school charm in a prime location - The Hotel Paris is a grand old building with high ceilings and frescoes, and sweeping staircases. The staff are polite and helpful. There’s a delightful roof terrace. Most of all the hotel is in a great location close to the cathedral but not so close as to be disturbed by noise and bustle.

• Charlotte Hanson (9/5): Perfect location, massive room - we loved it! - As a family of four, we found the Hotel Paris to be perfect for our needs. The room was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was small but included everything we needed. It was kept restocked by very discrete staff. The breakfast room had the most beautiful ceiling!!! This room was also open during the afternoons and evenings so you could always help yourself to a hot drink and some biscuits. The children loved getting a hot chocolate after a hard day of sightseeing! There was also a kettle with coffee and tea supplies in our room. The location of the hotel was ideal. We were attending an event at Fortezza de Bossa which was 10-12 minutes away but the hotel was also in the ideal location for finding restaurants at night, shopping and visiting all the important sites on foot. We felt very safe in the local vicinity of the hotel (and all of Florence). Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly to us and our children. This hotel was perfect for us. A couple of things needed fixing in the room (floor near the bathroom) but this didn't affect our enjoyment of the hotel. Not a problem for us, but people who find it difficult to negotiate steps may find it tricky here. There is a lift but there are also steps to different areas of the hotel.

All most important sights are 10 minute walk away Little bit noisy, but, it's on the middle of the life. So this is expected on the rooms with windows to the street ( they have not invented double-glass windows yet :) )

Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig erreichbar, Stazione S. Maria Novella nicht weit entfernt (Nightjet kommt aber Campo di Marte an), Bushaltestelle Panzani Unita vor der Haustür. Große Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet (Rührei, Obst, Dolci) in einem wunderschönen Renaissancesaal, der auch außerhalb der Frühstückszeiten für einen Kaffee, bzw. Tee geöffnet ist (inkl. der großen Terrasse).

This place is beautiful and has so much history that has been preserved. Excellent staff also. Very helpful. The view from our room wasn’t the best part of our hotel experience, but it was ok. I understand that you can request a room with a view. All in all we liked it very much and the location was fantastic. My husband and I could walk everywhere. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends. I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like.

• Tenaglia (7/5): hotel consigliato, ottima posizione e pulizia - l'hotel è in pieno centro dotato di tutti i comfort, ottima pulizia e personale gentilissimo l'arredamento è un pò datato quindi nonostante la pulizia impeccabile rimane quella sensazione di vecchiotto. la colazione per me che sono intollerante al lattosio non è andata bene, avevano del latte vegetale, cosa apprezzata e non scontata, ma non era buono, forse aperto da troppo tempo, per cui il secondo giorno non ho fatto colazione.

• Beatbaby34 (8/5): Faded grandeur - This hotel was clearly once a splendid building (see the breakfast room ceiling), but now some of the fixtures and fittings need replacing or refurbishing. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Bathroom was cramped; you had to step over the toilet to get in to the bath/shower. We found our room quite noisy, due to traffic noise and building work in the property beneath. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. I felt that the selection at breakfast was good; fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, bacon, meat and cheese and pastries. Location was central, and good for visiting attractions and restaurants.
• Getaway801274 (8/5): Charming and well located! Staff is very helpful and nice ! - Nice hotel near the charming Florence center. Large rooms, charming classic antique decoration not only in the rooms but i the whole hotel. Staff very helpful and trying to please guests. Downside was the noise from street at night, as our room was on the street side. Strongly recommend this hotel !

• Pilipefe (9/5): Limpio, cómodo y muy céntrico - El hotel es muy bonito, antiguo pero muy limpio y cómodo, con una ubicación excelente y con un personal muy atento y profesional, todo ello ha contribuido a que nuestra estancia haya sido muy agradable, lo recomendamos. Tienen el detalle de ofrecer agua, café, pastas y galletas gratuitamente durante las 24h. En el baño hay poco sitio para colocar las cosas de aseo, estaría bien que colocaran un estante extra

The reception staff were really friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and suggestions for non touristy places to visit. The room was clean and spacious.
