Pagani (10/5): Beautiful property and amazing staff - This is a lovely property. Walking distance from the train station and close to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Coliseum. Good value for the money. Very nice staff that was very helpful, Maria who checked us in was amazing and Roberto helped us get a spot for dinner on a Saturday night with no reservations. Small gym but if you need a quick workout, it’s fine. I would 100% recommend this property. The only issue we had was that we waited in line for almost 20 minutes to check out of the hotel. The manager sent me a note afterwards and apologized for the delay, which was nice. We were not in a big hurry, so it was fine but a little frustrating.

The room was spacious and modern, with a huge comfortable bed, and the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful with everything we needed. We celebrated our honeymoon there, and they upgraded us to an amazing room with a jacuzzi.

This experience has made me a fan of this hotel for ALL my future visits to Rome. It was newly renovated and we were so comfortable. The staff was all so welcoming and helpful our whole trip. The included breakfast was nice to have and fit our schedules and appetites before our excursions. There was always someone around to answer our questions or help us. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. Location can’t be beat. So close to the Colisseum and high end shopping. Can’t wait to come back!

The team truly went above and beyond, they didn’t just remember my birthday, they surprised me with a personal note and a cake, which meant so much to me. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and generous throughout the entire stay. Every request was met with a genuine willingness to help, and you could really feel that they cared. The cleanliness was on another level. The hotel is maintained multiple times a day, something I’ve honestly never experienced before. The location is also amazing, you can literally see the Colosseum from the corner, which makes the whole experience even more magical. I travel and stay in hotels quite often, but this level of service is rare. Truly an outstanding experience. Highly recommended!

All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Double rooms were smart and clean, but the size of a typical city hotel room and, on the 2nd floor, no view. There was renovation work still taking place at the hotel, which for the most part didn't disturb us as the noisy work is done during the day, when most guests are out and about. However, on our last morning, we were woken by drilling and banging at 07.30hrs and the gym was out of action during the week. Overall, we found the FH55 Grand Hotel Palatino a very pleasant and ideally located place to stay to enjoy our 5 nights trip to Rome.

harriets164 (10/5): Brilliant hotel - My husband and I have just returned from a 4-night stay at the Grand Palatino and it was exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and they couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel was having some internal renovation work done during our time there but it wasn’t disruptive at all. Side note, I didn’t get his name but the doorman was just so lovely! The room was spacious and clean, great bathroom with a double sink and the bed was super comfy. The turn-down service in the evening was a nice touch, too. Our only complaint would be the lack of air conditioning, the room would get very hot at night despite there being a cooling system active (we also overhead other guests mentioning they had the same issue) and even though Rome isn’t particularly hot at this time of year, I do hope they can sort it before the height of summer! The hotel is in a perfect location - 5 minute walk from the Colosseum, lots of bars and restaurants nearby, shops and cafes. 15-20 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return!

Our Junior suite was perfect with lots of space and excellent facilities. The bar is lovely and we enjoyed a drink there every night before going out to dinner best thing about the hotel was the staff. Literally everyone we met was super friendly and genuine. We had a fantastic stay and will almost certainly return someday. An easy recommendation!

Simone (9/5): Fabulous value for money with excellent staff; just need to be aware of the A/C issue in the rooms. - The staff were exceptional. They were helpful and courteous throughout; nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived, we found our room was too hot and were informed that due to renovations, there was no A/C in the room. When we asked for an alternative, they immediately upgraded us to a suite that had fully opening doors to 2 balconies, and brought us 2 fans. Then when we couldn't turn a light off in the balcony at night, they sent a maintenance guy at 10.30pm to try to fix it, and when he couldn't turn it off, he got up on the wall of the balcony and removed the light globe for us! Seriously, they went above and beyond. The gym was also excellent-great equipment and well maintained. There was no A/C in the rooms due to renovations. This was not made clear when booking.

Kevin (9/5): Hotel und Lage sind Perfekt - Die nähe zum Kolosseum 5 min und zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Trevi Brunnen 15 min. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Zur Einkaufsstrasse Via del Corso hat man 20 min Fussweg, Roma Termini 10 min zu Fuss. In der 6. Etage hat man einen super Ausblick aus dem Zimmer, zugleich ist das ganze Zimmer und Hotel sehr sauber. Wir würden wieder kommen das Hotel war Top für einen Weekend oder auch 4-5 Tages Trip. Gibt nichts Auszusetzen.
