They have hidden charges, deposit you need to pay, and took money from my account after I checked out with a zero invoice. I don’t know what that charge was for and they still held my deposit. I am very unhappy about all their hidden charges which is not clearly communicated when you make the booking. For this reason I will never stay at any Marriott hotel again.

La vue de la chambre au 17e étage était superbe. L’accueil à l’arrivée était moyen. Nous sommes arrivés en fin de matinée et lors du check in , on nous dit que la chambre est prête. Ok. Mais si on la veut maintenant il faut payer un supplément de 90€. Nous avons refusé et nous avons refait un check in en fin d’après-midi. Incompréhension quant à l’intérêt de laisser la chambre libre.

I was horrified to find in the morning I had been devoured by bed bugs. I am suffering greatly with intense itching and red spots on my arms and legs.

• Webster27 (8/5): Stable hotel close to work office - Good location for my work event. Stayed for 7 nights. Room was fine and kept clean by the house staff. One major setback is that the aircon does not go below 20 degrees (C). I struggled with that high temperature. Interesting the fridge temperature was not cold... Plenty of supermarkets close by. Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the surrounds - all of which offer French or other cuisine and at lower local prices. If you are a walker, there is no problem walking to the River Seine and all surrounding places.

• BOUKA (8/5): Globalement satisfaisant. - La localisation, l'accessibilité et le confort sont des points forts. La proximité des restaurants et petits commerces est également un bon point. Enfin, la proximité des transports en commun est à souligner. La faiblesse des services proposés dans les chambres constitue un point à améliorer. De même le prix du séjour me semble un peu élevé.

Plafon u hodniku je toliko nizak da postoji mogućnost da udarite u znak glavom ako ste viši od 195 cm. Soba je bila stara, pogled bezveze. Prozor se ne otvara ni 1 cm. Soba pretrpana nepotrebnim stvarima, malo prostora za prolazak. Pod u ćošku sobe stoji pod uglom od 45%, jako čudno. Pri čekiranju, nije radio toalet, nije radila pegla. U toku boravka začepio se umivaonik. Osvjetljenje u sobi katastrofa, ne postoji plafonska sijalica. Sve u svemu, hotel preskup i ne vrijedi taj novac.

This hotel has a weird system of charging double for accommodation - first they supposedly freeze the amount on your card upon check-in (but in fact it's debited from your account), and then they charge the same amount again upon check-out (so if your stay costs $1,000, be prepared to pay $2,000 and then wait for the first thousand to be returned in a week). In addition to this money, be prepared to pay a pretty hefty amount for insuring the contents of the room (by the way, you won't see anything valuable in the room, the furniture and plumbing are old). They also charged me city tax for two people in the room, even though I repeated several times that I would be staying alone in the room. I arrived in Paris on a rainy day, and when I asked for an umbrella at reception, they pointed me to a paid machine at the entrance)))) The «service» 😅 The worst hotel.

• Tractor4461 (10/5): Beautiful property! Highly recommend. - Beautiful and comfortable hotel! We were there for only two nights and it was snowing. It was absolutely beautiful. It was early January, so the Christmas decorations were still up, but they were taking them down while we were there. We had the family suite, which was perfect for four of us. The room was very well equipped with electric tea kettle, fridge, 1.5 bathrooms, robes & slippers, a desk, and a very comfy beds. The second room had a Murphy bed which was made up, but we called for additional bedding, which was promptly brought to us. The executive lounge is lovely. They had a hot breakfast and evening hot food, including beer and wine. The staff was wonderful. This hotel is located in a residential, but beautiful area. The train is right across the street. We walked one night to a restaurant and also hit a few pharmacies along the way. Felt very safe. When we wanted to see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, etc, we took an Uber (its not far- i think it was $20).. but you have lots of options. There are usually taxis outside or you can take the train. Absolutely a lovely stay, and it was significantly better priced than some of the properties closer to the Eiffel Tower area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rooms are tired with worn out carpet, a huge dresser that takes up valuable floor space, and older looking wood furniture. Shower has Hans Grohe rain head and and rain hand sprayer. The lighting in the room is good for doing makeup and getting ready. The new toiletries are too herby/musky/masculine. Nespresso machine in room is highly appreciated!! Hot coffee in the room is a must (no instant). The tv didn’t work, the heating didn’t work (December). So the room was freezing. I was too tired to have it fixed before work and obligations, so I slept with the duvet folded over twice and in wool socks. Also the shower water didn’t get very hot. Lots of mechanical issues for a Marriott. Once again, nice lobby, hotel staff and location.

• charriemaed2025 (4/5): Previous stay At Marriott Rive Gauche - I would not recommend this hotel, as my family’s stay was not pleasant. I checked in for the rest of our rooms before or around 8:00 p.m., and the front desk associate was not very accommodating. The customer service was poor and lacked hospitality altogether. The associate’s tone of voice was unaccommodating and did not reflect the expected standards of hospitality. Later, around 9:00 p.m., I called the front desk to report that one of our rooms had a very wet carpet and a strong smell of mold. The response I received was, “Oh yes, there is ongoing maintenance due to a leakage in that room,” which indicated that they were already aware of the issue yet still assigned the room to a guest. No room change was offered. They did ask if a technician could come, but by that time it was too late, and my parents preferred to rest. The following morning, we wanted to bring this matter to the front desk again; however, the lobby was extremely busy, with many guests waiting to be assisted and only two or three associates working. As a result, the issue went unresolved. At checkout, I brought up the wet carpet once more just to make them aware of it and was met with a dismissive response of, “I see it here,” without any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The only positive experience worth mentioning was the lounge host, who was very professional, welcoming, and attentive in recognizing guests. I have stayed at many Marriott hotels; unfortunately, this property did not meet Marriott brand standards or my expectations.The lack of accountability, inadequate service, and disregard for guest comfort resulted in an experience that fell well below expectations.

• René (7/5): It was ok - The room was great and location good as well Breakfast was poor - and one of the days there was no vacant room so 30 people were waiting in line.

• Robbie Dey (8/5): Family break and a good hotel - Amazing staff, good clean room, good breakfast selection, very close to Metro. A little far away from the main attractions. Not the best area for cafes / restaurants.

• sj1977 (8/5): Excellent Paris weekend base - I booked this hotel as they had a great deal including buffet breakfast. Despite being a regular visitor to Paris, I wasn't familiar with the immediate area but it turned out to be an excellent location for reaching all the main tourist sites and attractions, a short walk from the St Jacques metro and Denfert Rochereau RER station. The highlight was definitely the buffet breakfast, quite possibly the best I have had! A wide selection of hot and cold food, all fresh and delicious. Excellent staff and great customer service. Only slight disappointment was the view. I had paid extra for a city view but it wasn't great, just the conference centre roof and generic city rooftops. But on the whole we were very pleased and I will definitely consider booking again. Thank you.

• Monica (10/5): Wonderful hotel with kind staff and amazing breakfast - We loved this hotel. It was a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station which connected us to all the big attractions. The room was very spacious and we received a warm welcome from the front desk. The breakfast options were incredible - highly recommend including it in your stay.
