- Travlingman33 (10/5): Service Made The Difference - Our stay at Baglioni Hotel Regina was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the level of service truly went above and beyond anything we expected. Every member of the staff—from check-in, doormen/porters, restaurant team, room service, and housekeeping—was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always had a genuine smile, which made our stay that much more enjoyable. One small adjustment for us was learning that Italian hotels typically don’t provide irons or ironing boards in the room, but that’s more of a cultural difference than a drawback. The interior layout and design of the hotel reflects a classic, traditional Roman architectural style. This is a boutique luxury hotel, so don’t expect a massive mega-resort atmosphere. Instead, it offers a more intimate and elegant experience. During our two-week stay, we experienced two different rooms. We initially stayed in Suite 212, which was spacious and very quiet at night, but it felt somewhat outdated. The floors were consistently dusty, and the bathroom was in need of some repairs, especially the clogged shower heads. Later, we stayed in Room 126, which was noticeably more modern, cleaner, and had a much better functioning shower. The hotel is perfectly situated on the prestigious Via Vittorio Veneto, directly across from the U.S. Embassy. While there isn’t a tremendous amount within immediate walking distance, major attractions such as the Vatican, the Colosseum, and the train station are all within about a 15-minute taxi ride. One piece of advice: be cautious with taxis and confirm the fare beforehand, as some drivers may try to overcharge tourists. Overall, Baglioni did not disappoint. While the rooms were a bit hit-or-miss, the exceptional service more than made up for it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

We were greeted by a most friendly and efficient reception team who saw us well settled into our room. We went to the bar for a drink and snack where the service was friendly and efficient. The rooms are opulent and comfortable, though the bathroom was a little small. I found this unsurprising in an old building. The public rooms somehow manage to be grand and cosy. Over our week’s stay I became used to the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to answer any questions, make recommendations, ask how our activities had gone and generally their willingness to give us a good time. Two incidents summed this up. We commented that there was little choice for a vegetarian on their restaurant menu. Within an hour we had a call from the restaurant manager with a list of proposed dishes which they were willing to produce. That was most impressive. The second incidence came on my birthday. I had not told them it was my birthday as I genuinely didn’t want a fuss made (I’m too old!). Of course, once they registered our passports they would have noticed the date. At breakfast, they waited until I’d eaten then brought me a beautiful little cake. I was very touched, thanked the staff and moved on. During the afternoon, unannounced, room service arrived… a very good bottle of Prosecco and some extremely good chocolates from the management. I was bowled over. Finally, as we were leaving for the airport, we were given two little boxes of chocolates for the journey. You don’t have to travel a huge amount to get cynical about levels of comfort and customer service. Very many hotels I’ve been to would do well to copy the Regina’s practice. The guest rooms are wonderfully appointment and comfortable. Second, the food and beverage service is great. We ate breakfast every day and enjoyed cocktails every afternoon. The food was delicious and, when possible, locally sourced. Finally, the staff was professional and warm, making us feel at home. The concierge team arranged tours, transfers, and made dinner reservations for us so we could enjoy every moment in the Eternal City! You would regret choosing this hotel.

Then came this lovely lady who brought us delicious cappuccino coffee with beautiful foam hearts! We learned that management had upgraded us to the gorgeous Ludoviai Suite!!! The breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious and the kindest team was there every morning to greet us! There was even the most lovely breakfast bags prepared for us one day as we all had a very early tour! They even were so thoughtful as to have to go cappuccino coffees for each of us! The wonderful gentleman, Marco, quickly hailed us a taxi one day as our driver did not show! He was so kind, professional and efficient! We had reserved a suite and it was nice and roomy with the classic old world vibe to it which we loved. The location is very good being close to the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens and the Villa plus high end shopping area of Via dei Condotti. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was excellent, lots of options. A couple of things to point out….the shower was a tub/shower combo so it was a bit difficult to get in and out. Also, our room was adjacent to a side street and there was quite bit of noise in the early morning from trash pick-up which seemed to occur daily. Other than that, it was a great stay.

The food and amenities were fabulous but their success rests with the impeccable service delivery. The hospitality staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a relaxing, luxurious stay. They spoilt us and it was truly the icing on a wonderful holiday. A special mention has to to go to front of house Olga who was so patient and helpful with all our different enquiries. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! It is a holiday we will treasure.

All of my questions where answered quickly and Marco couldn't have been more helpful with arranging airport transfers , spa bookings and room information . The staff are attentive and wonderful from being greeted at the door to the friendly housekeepers , breakfast staff and room service. The food is amazing . Although we only dined for breakfast and in room dining the steak was beautiful. The bar staff incredibly friendly and certainly know how to pour a good cocktail . The housekeepers are lovely . Our room was serviced quickly and beautifully daily. With lovely touches such as our roses being put in water. The room was spotless and the suite spacious with a lovely view . Beds are large and comfortable and plenty of in room amenities. We had breakfast in bed most days ( chargeable to the room or included if we went to the breakfast room.) Room service is quick and amazing value for money. The spa is a highlight it is reserved solely for you so you are uninterrupted and free to relax . We had the signature massage and the purifying body treatment on day two and loved it so much we rebooked for the Baglioni ritual massage and the facial on the day we left . Exceptional value for money and quite possibly the best spa I have visited in the world . The hotel is wonderfully situated for all major attractions and the Trevi fountain a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is beautifully decorated and cared for with so much attention to detail. The highlight really is the outstanding staff across all areas. As someone who travels around the world frequently managing 5 star hotels I would say this particularly Baglioni hotel is now a firm favourite and we shall not hesitate to be back in the near future . Thank you all for a wonderful stay. There is simply nothing to not like . This hotel and staff have thought of everything and really put exceptional guest experience first .

- pabirds (10/5): Upscale Hotel in nice neighborhood, near cabs & buses - This is an extremely classy, service-first hotel with what I gather is a history of doing things up for some famous folks over its long history. You can't approach the front door without having it opened for you. Marble everywhere. Even in your room. They put a small towel with a pair of slippers next to your bed at turndown, in case you don't want to walk on a stone floor. We had a Junior Suite, btw, which was spacious and nice. The breakfast is ample, super satisfying for any taste, both healthy and indulgent and the room is well-staffed. We walked to a lot of places from here, including the Villa Borghese and Saint Paul's Within The Walls church for the Three Tenors concert (highly recommend this). One of our tours was happy to come to the hotel. The other was a 6-7 minute walk. The Capuchin Crypt is even closer. You could make the Spanish Steps in 10 or so, I think. There are also plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood, including a couple that don't close between lunch and dinner, which can be handy. There's also a cabstand catty corner from the front door, only paces away. There were always cabs there in January. We could've easily grabbed one to the airport instead pre-booking a more expensive ride, had we known. And by the way, the official white cabs in Rome are not expensive and most take cards. I don't think we paid more than about 9-11 Euro for any ride within the city walls. They have a spa in the basement with a small fitness center just off the elevator. I was a little worried at first, because there was only one treadmill. But I was the only customer the three times I went, so no problem. They also had mats and dumbbells, which I appreciated. A top-notch hotel, from top to bottom with a staff anxious to please. It's upscale and most guests were dressed nicely on their way in and out. But we were in jeans and nice tops at breakfast and were not the only ones; plenty of folks readying for their day of city touring looking pretty much like us.

Invece noi ci siamo sentiti a casa, peccato che alla mezzanotte, rientrati da un ristorante limitrofo non ci siamo fermati a festeggiare in sala ballo con lo staff dell'hotel. Se volessimo fare i pignoli, la seconda camera l'abbiamo avuta disponibile alle 16.00, anche se la prima l'avevamo avuta in anticipo rispetto alle 14.00, ma probabilmente l'hotel era pieno e le pulizie camere venivano fatte in profondità... Avremmo preferito una camera quadrupla, forse avremmo risparmiato, rispetto alle due singole, ma avendo prenotato su booking non abbiamo compreso se vi fossero camere quadruple più convenienti, al di la' della family swite. eccellente anche una cena, peccato i gamberi congelati..

- TAMIRIS REGINA (10/5): Maravilhosa - Da limpeza, cheirinho do hotel, atendimento, café da manhã com opção a la carte, roupa de cama, toalhas, tudo impecável Pedimos para descer as malas no check-out, eram duas malas pequenas e duas mochilas, e esqueceram de pegar uma, como elas ja foram direto para o carro com nosso guia, so descobrimos quando chegamos no nosso proximo destino, ao ligarmos para o hotel, o atendimento informou que haviam várias malas, então acredito que tenha que ser visto essa situação para não ocorrer, até porque as malas estavam juntas no quarto. Tivemos um custo de 100 euros para buscarmos a mala. Nos serviu de lição para sempre conferir, mas como tudo no hotel era impecável não contávamos com essa falha.

We booked the hotel through Amex Platinum Travel. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the most beautiful suite on a quiet high floor with 2 small balconies. We loved hearing the distant church bells ringing. A bottle of prosecco awaited us in our room as well! Rocco the manager checked in with us frequently throughout our stay to ensure that we were comfortable. Valerio the concierge helped us with great restaurant recommendations. The bar , front desk and dining staff were friendly and welcoming . The staff at this hotel really made us feel welcome and well cared for. We highly recommend staying at this elegant, lovely hotel.

The only two things I didn’t like that one time unfortunately the housecleaning lady didn’t empty toilet bin and when we make the check-in we learnt that they upgrade our rooms but my room hasn’t been upgraded. But these are OK, when I go to Rome I prefer this hotel again.
