- gretytm96 (10/5): Perfect Stay in the Heart of Istanbul - I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Erboy and it ended up being the perfect base for exploring Istanbul. The location couldn’t be better. It’s very close to the Istanbul Tram T1 Line and Eminönü Ferry Terminal, and you can easily walk to some of Istanbul’s most famous sites like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, and Süleymaniye Mosque. What really made the stay special was the staff. Everyone—from the front desk to housekeeping, the restaurant team, and the shuttle drivers—was warm, welcoming, and helpful. My room was cleaned every day and always felt fresh and tidy when I came back after long days exploring the city. During my first couple of days, I was struggling with jet lag, so the hotel’s room service and restaurant were a lifesaver. The food was very good and breakfast had a great variety. The airport transfers arranged by the hotel were also perfectly on time and very comfortable both ways. Overall, the value is excellent considering the location, service, and quality. I would absolutely stay here again.
- Scenic62865610823 (4/5): Disgraceful pricing trap – I’m sharing this to protect other travelers from such scams. - I originally intended to leave this feedback only on Google Reviews, but after receiving a shamelessly irresponsible response from the hotel, I decided to post it here as well. I do not want to tarnish the beautiful and friendly image of Turkey, but I believe guests staying at Erboy Hotel must be warned so they never have to experience this again. While the hotel facilities are decent, I must warn all travelers about the predatory transportation service arranged by the reception. We requested a van to Taksim Square (5km away). The reception arranged a vehicle without clearly disclosing that the fare would be 2,000 Lira—roughly 5-6 times the standard market rate. We only discovered this exorbitant price when it was too late to choose an alternative. They also demanded cash only. As a family traveling with a wheelchair user, we relied on the hotel's integrity, but they led us into a trap. In their response, the management claimed it was the "guest's decision to accept the fare." This is a blatant lie. We were never given a fair choice or clear prior notice; we were simply exploited because we didn't know the local rates and had limited mobility. Never trust the reception for transportation here. Use Uber or Bitaksi to avoid being scammed. Pros: Room quality and location. Cons: Lack of transparency and unethical "third-party" service recommendations.
- chrispy75-12 (8/5): 4.5 stars - almost 5! - I marked this down.5 star due to the tiny bathroom with a raised edge on the shower that i stubbed my toe on daily & the full length mirror facing the toilet (no one needs to see that!!!) the staff are fabulous, happy to help friendly and approachable. the rooms were compact but came with a fridge, kettle with tea and coffee supplies. All rooms have individual air con so you can tailor it to your preference (loved this as i like an icy cold room) beds extremely comfortable. although the bathroom is small the water pressure in the shower is excellent. Daily breakfast is geared more towards the Turkish - very carb heavy and potato/cheese dominant. but those spinach pastry things are to die for and my kryptonite!!! what's really fabulous about this hotel is its location - 1min walk to a tram stop, approx 1km either direction to the spice bazaar or blue mosque, hagia sophia - everything is walkable!!! multiple shops and restaurants are just a step away!! highly recommended place to stay and if i'm ever back here again (never say never) i'd definitely choose this hotel!!

Pros: • The service was generally good, with staff being polite and helpful at the front desk. • The location is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring Istanbul’s main attractions. • The breakfast had a good variety of options and was a nice way to start the day. Cons: • Room cleaning could have been better. It felt like it wasn’t done thoroughly during the stay. • The hotel restaurant/room service was disappointing. The food didn’t match the menu description, and we were served (and charged for) a meal we didn’t order. The chicken was undercooked (pink inside), and when we tried to explain the issue, the staff didn’t understand due to a language barrier. When we raised it with reception, we were told it wasn’t their responsibility. • The single beds are quite small, which might not be comfortable for everyone. Overall: Erboy Hotel has a great location and decent service, but the restaurant experience and room upkeep fell short. If you’re staying here, it might be best to dine out and manage expectations when it comes to room service and cleaning.

- Navigator00722533308 (2/5): Nightmare in Erboy - Room was a cubicle size when we asked for a standard double. When we inquired why the room looked different from what is on booking.com the receptions answer is that their double rooms are in various sizes and our was one of the small one. So you arw basically taking a chance with them as you may end up with a room that has no space to put youd luggage nor walk about when you put your luggage on the floor. Reception told our local agent they will provide another room the next day but next day came and there still was no room. Their stories changed daily. However, their solution was that we pay for an upgrade. Worked out well for them as they made more from us for a triple room. Not for us. Very unpleasant stay.

- Msikiliza (8/5): Comfy Hotel in Sikerci - I haven't been to Istanbul in about a decade, so it was lovely to see that the hotel has stood the test of time. The check-in process was flawless, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, and my stay was without incident. While the breakfast was okay, it felt a bit monotonous and repetitive. However, you can easily explore nearby places to eat since you are in the heart of the Sirkeci area, which has plenty of tourist sites, shops, and eateries within walking distance. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I recommend this boutique and affordable hotel to those looking for accommodations in the area.

- Mohammod (2/5): BEWARE - 50 Euros for late stay Scam - My name is Doctor Miah and my wife and I stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Erboy. I was disappointed to learn at the end of my stay that I was charged 50 euros extra for a late stay - I needed to stay an extra 2 hours for my flight! There is no policy for this and the receptionist made this up and said this was the policy for today. He admitted that there is no policy but said I would have to pay for half day which he said was 50 euros but checking online this is approximately the same as a full stay with breakfast on the Hotel Erboy Website. I felt ripped off. This is ridiculous behaviour and I have lost trust in this hotel as it behaved like a market trader trying to scam you!

The location is excellent, easy access to various tourist attractions, a safe and beautiful area. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. The hotel has a lift, which helps with large suitcases. I had breakfast at the hotel and there was something different every day. The food was very good and varied. I loved the sesame rings (simit), they were medium-sized and very tasty. The best I've had in Turkey. Mrs Egle helped me choose places to visit. All the staff were very friendly. I loved it and would recommend it. I'll be back. Thank you!
- Nov3nika (8/5): Close but far from the historical sites, advise young couple. - I had 6 days in Istanbul and I decided to divided the days in two places. This hotel was in Sultanahmet area. I thought will be close to the historical site but for me at 78 I find it to far to walk. So I took the tour. Breakfast nothing special and I was surprise was not turkish bread something that I was looking for. Around the hotel was narrow streets, cheap stores and very crowded.

- 249bettyy (10/5): Group of three stay - We booked the hotel for group of three, we booked 3 single beds in one room. room was spacious enough. This hotel was in an extremely convenient location, close to public transport and restaurants. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally hospitable. The breakfast they offered was by far the best we had during our time in Turkey. Highly recommend this hotel.

- Famdew (10/5): Nice modern hotel in the middle of the tourist attractions - Enjoyed our stay so much. The staff is very helpful and super friendly, this before and during our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and meet every comfort. Bath products are provided. We stayed on the 6th floor on the street side, but despite the busy street, we were not bothered by the noise. The breakfast was very well cared for and delicious. The breakfast room is cozy. The hotel is within walking distance of many tourist attractions and can be reached by public transport. This hotel is definitely recommended for those who want to stay very close to the tourist attractions, price / quality certainly correct. The knowledge of the staff is also definitely recommended, they are happy to help you make your stay even more pleasant. We had a late flight and our luggage could be stored in the hotel without much problem until we left.
- Wael (4/5): - The building is clean. Rooms are reasonably sized for Sultanahmet area. It is walking distance to Hagia Sofia and Sultanahmet as well as Eminönü and Egyptian Bazaar. Staff were a mixed bunch. One who checked us in was courteous, the rest were unhelpful and in fact downright rude. Breakfast was meh. They charged us for a water bottle. Given the many options available in the area I doubt I would stay here again.

A big shout-out to Ms. Egle and Mr. Ali, who went above and beyond to assist us with even the smallest inquiries. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. The location is ideal—walking distance to everywhere. To the right, you can easily reach Sirkeci and Eminönü, and to the left, Sultanahmet and the Grand Bazaar. The Gulhane tram station is just a 2-minute walk, making it even more convenient. We stayed in a family connecting room, which was impressively spacious for our family of five. The breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious menu that changed daily. Special mention to the bellman—though elderly, he is incredibly strong, helpful, and kind. - helendc1 (10/5): First class hotel! - We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Istanbul. It is central for cafes, shops, restaurants and all the places you would want to visit. It is close to trams, metro, railway, it is a perfect place to stay! The staff are all lovely, kind and helpful. it is obviously a happy place to work. The rooms are spacious, spotless and quiet. There was a safe, tea/coffee making facilities, and good toiletries to use including body lotion.The tea/coffee was refilled each day. The lady who cjeaned our room was excellent, she did it every day while we were at breafast. Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold food to suit everyone'stastes. The fruit was lovely and fresh and there was turkish delight as well, It was yummy!

It was central to all the main sights on the Asian side and close to a tram stop to head to the European side. Easy also to access Galata bridge and the Bosphorus. We had excellent service by reception, bar and customer service staff. A special mention to Egle who helped us with organizing some of our days itinerary to make the most of our time. Breakfasts provided a variety of foods which we all enjoyed. The rooms were well presented. If staying for a few days I would recommend booking the 3 person room to have some extra space as we were allocated this room one night and loved it. It was quiet at night even though near the amazing sights. The Erboy was also close to lots of cafes and restaurants.

- anishavlani (10/5): Excellent Experience in Turkey Erboy hotel - Erboy hotel was excellent with good and cooperative staff, restaurants were good,and very helpful, location was excellent near all mosques, bosphorous, shopping places Breakfast was excellent though being vegetarian they served us options We sincerely thank our tour operator of Istanbul Mr.Umut Ersan who selected very good hotel, and his itenary of Turkey was nice. It’s only the Villian Thomas cook Gujrat office though we were ready to pay and stay more days in Turkey, prepared very bad itenary, not including Ankara, Antalya, OIA village in Santorini etc.
- Salim (2/5): - Erboy Hotel, Istanbul This recently opened hotel boasts a convenient location and a generally clean environment. The restaurant service staff and room service personnel are commendable for their helpfulness. However, the reception and administrative staff exhibit the opposite attitude. Notably, guests who check in at night may be assigned the least desirable rooms (e.g., my room 401or the previous 502), with promises of a room change the next morning that are not honored. This practice reflects poorly on the hotel's reputation, as it contrasts with the customary practice in many hotels of upgrading a guest's room during their first visit to create a positive impression and encourage repeat business. Unfortunately, Erboy Hotel seems indifferent to the guest experience, particularly for those who book through third-party platforms like Expedia. In contrast, guests who pay in cash appear to receive superior service. Based on my experience, I will not be returning to Erboy Hotel in the future.

- Mohammed (8/5): - The hotel was okay, it was clean but the actual facility of bathroom were rather poorer then expected, shower too small, shower doors didn’t close properly, the door to the bathroom was made up off mirror in chipboard type frames and not pleasant. Very little storage for clothes. Breakfast was rather poor, very limited choice, it was very basic. Staff smoking on corridors, could spell it all the time. Not worth the price tag.

- Mohammed Shehzad Hamim (8/5): - First of all, I would like to say that the staff was brilliant and everyone was so kind. In terms of the room, it's very cosy and comfortable. Not the biggest room but it was still very spacious for 2 people. The location is excellent, all main sites are closeby with ATMs very close to the hotel. The breakfast buffet isn't the best in terms of selections but it's alright. It would be great if the hotel could offer an ironing board and iron for the room instead of just laundry service.

No proper cleaning Floor often too vacuumed Utilities, water not provided No tea/ coffee When requesting the utilities mentioned, they would give excuses saying no key, give tomorrow etc Sometime no tissue paper on the holder Only 2 coffee sachets left in the room They mislead our Uber driver saying we left to airport When asked they said they can get you another taxi (they charge 50 Euros for the trip) They were rude; unkind and made our stay difficult. Very unprofessional. Mostly men. The manager was a woman who was so incompetent and weak. She got nothing resolved. Things only worsened after we complained to Expedia.

Only criticism would be that the breakfast was increased from €10 to €15 and we found it too expensive for what was on offer especially as it was mainly cold foods. Apart from that, would definitely recommend the place.
- Yasin (6/5): - This hotel is located in a very good location, near to the main tourist attractions. Metro, train and ferry terminals are in walking distance to the hotel along with a good variety of restaurants, shops and takeaways. Had a room booked for a week with two single bed at this hotel. This room was decent in size. Rooms were clean and cleaned daily by the lovely lady. The beds in the room were found to be uncomfortable for me and my friend. Hard, extra stiff mattresses made getting a good nights sleep difficult. The single beds are on the small size, with my feet sticking out the bed (I’m 6ft). Beds moved very easily due to the laminate flooring in the rooms. We had paid for breakfast at this hotel which I feel was a mistake. Poor quality of food and variety. I have stayed in Istanbul hotels offering free breakfasts with better quality and variety therefore was disappointed having paid extra for this level of breakfast. The staff were friendly and warm, always acknowledging you on entering and exiting the hotel. However I was left bemused on checking out when the staff failed to open the door whilst I juggled two suitcases and a bag. I was most disappointed at this. I had arranged a transport service with the hotel. Paid with a combination of euros and GBP on checking in but when paying for the airport transfer in advance of checking out was told GBP is not accepted, some consistency lacking. Overall this could be a good hotel with some changes.

Mattress was comfortable, no noises or smells. Short walking distance to restaurants, historic sights, public transport. Would recommend this place, and I would stay there again.
- Gregory (10/5): - Erboy Hotel in Istanbul was a very nice hotel to stay at. The Guest Relations Manager, Egle was very friendly and helpful. She also responded to all e-mails prior to our stay with complete answers. The only sad part was that she was off work for 2 days during our visit. This hotel is very clean and modern at a reasonable price. Everyone at the Reception desk speaks English (Egle also speaks Russian). The hotel is at a great location in the historic area of Istanbul where many tourist attractions can be walked to. I highly recommend Erboy Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul on a smaller budget but still requires a quality hotel. Our rooms had refrigerators which is very nice to store cold snacks. The TV worked great. The only complaints I have are minor: the floor of my room could have used a more thorough vacuum before checking in. The elevator is tiny so you might have to wait your turn in line to use it. This hotel offers breakfast, but breakfast is not included with the price of the room. The view across the street out of the room windows from the higher floors of the hotel is unusual.
- Brian (10/5): - The staff here couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Location was fantastic. We were able to walk to the Blue mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Spice market shopping areas were also close by. A little farther afield was Independence Ave with its modern shopping. Restaurants were nearby. The restaurant recommended as low cost good food was as advertised. We actually went there twice. Amenities were lacking by North American standards but we were too busy to care. The only amenity we used was the rooftop bar where we kicked back and had a cold one while deciding what to do next. No one in our group of eight had any negative comments.

- Joskin (10/5): - The Erboy Hotel is properly located if you want to have a walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Cistern Basilica and Topkapi Palace, approximately 10min walk. The area seems quiet and safe. Restaurants are also within vicinity. It is also near the Tram Station though we did not ride. Finally staff are friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet is delicious as well.

Walked me through step-by-step how I would need to navigate public transportation and politely saved me from a disastrous mistake with a rental car. The room was safe, clean, and comfortable.

The hotel is ideally placed in the Sultanahmet location on a side street so is handy for the Hagia Sophia etc - they’re within easy walking distance. The Erboy is modern and clean, my room was small but quiet (6th floor and away from the side street), there’s the standard buffet breakfast as an option, a bar downstairs and a basic roof terrace. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. I’d stay there again with no hesitation.

- Mohammed Addris (10/5): - This hotel is in a quite street bit very central, only 10 mins walk to Blue Mosque and Topkapi place or 3 mins on the tram which is 100 yds at the end of the street. The hotel itself is clean with a nice continental breakfast and staff are both helpful and pleasant. All the rooms are large with a decent size bathroom and mini fridge. Our party stayed in a family room, triple room and double room , all were of the same quality and high standard. You will not be disappointed with this hotel or its location - Highly recommend !
- Aamana (10/5): - Me and my family stayed at Erboy Hotel for 7 nights and it was absolutely incredible. The hotel has been newly renovated so everything looked lovely and clean. The receptionist staff and cleaners were so friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, the hotel is on a street with nice shops directly opposite. And it's only a quick tram ride or walk to Sultanahmet. I would highly recommend this hotel. We are already planning a stay at Erboy Hotel again soon!
- Bruce (10/5): - The staff of this hotel could not do enough for us. Even though we arrived at 10:00 AM they had a room available for us. We told them that we needed to find a place to get a covid test and they called to have someone come to the hotel to perform the test. While we were waiting for that the guest relations person spent 20 minutes with us talking about the hotel and things we could see and do. We told them that we had to leave before breakfast in the morning and they arranged for snack boxes for us. They arranged for the car to take to the airport in the morning. All of this for an extremely reasonable price. Oh and by the way, the hotel is very near to all of the top sites. Thankyou very much to all of the hotel staff for such wonderful service.
- Fatima Esak (4/5): - Once hotel had pur moneh, they didnt care about the service they provided. Some were rude and not accommodating. They didnt have an iron but had a iron service they used. When collecting, they increased the price because the dress we gave was long even though i had mentioned this prior, though our clothes came back just as creased as we gave. Then they had the cheek to say its the fabric and because it creased in luggage. I iron better yet theyre the professionals. Also many members of staff were rude because we complained about the ironing service. Felt very unwelcome and as if they wanted us out of there asap! Will not be staying there again, nor will i recommend it to anyone!
- Mohammed (8/5): A trip to remember - As we go to istanbul we were dreaming about visitig this amazing historical city and our visit was nothing less than we expected we enjoyed the genius ocation of the hotel in the heart of the old city , the staff here were so friendly and helpful with everything they really made our stay to be so comfortable . We enjoyed their amazing breakfast with their generousity and dedication. Of course if we will be back to Istanbul we would like to stay here again . The only drawbacks was the cold water in the toilet seat and there was no hot dryer for the wet towel to dry in the bathroom.

- FAWZIA (10/5): - We stayed at ERBOY for a month and loved it. It is a tourist hotel at an excellent location. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and generous. But, the nicest thing about it were the staff. Every single person in this establishment went out of their way and beyond to help us. The young lady at the reception was kind and extremely helpful as was Mr. Menderes. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is great for some of the 'must-see' attractions and tram transportation is easily accessible just steps away from the hotel. The hotel had a concierge on to meet us and was available for directions and suggestions of how to navigate the city. She spoke excellent English. The only reason for not giving it five smiles was the fact the rooms with two single beds in are quite small.

Güven, the night receptionist had good data about hammas (turkish baths) and has been always attentive to our needs. If you're looking a nice, calm, center place to stay, this is your place. Also the breakfast was very good. A little fancy, but it honored so far a 3 star hotel. Happy to booked here.
