- mirriamg2026 (10/5): Awesome Experience at the Ocean Spa Hotel! - Overall experience was superb!! Food is great! As well as the staff and crew! We'll be back for sure 😊
- K5878EXmelissad (8/5): Ocean Spa Cancun Experience - Thank you so much for the wonderful service! Manuel, Santos, Paola and Pedro were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. You truly made the experience special. Muchos gracias.
- JulieC_2010 (6/5): It’s ok - It’s ok. Nothing extraordinary.
Service was hit and miss yet Eduardo the bartender at the lobby bar was great! Bartender Jesus was great as well.
Frida was the best out of all 3 à la carte. Waiters were exceptional!!!
Buffet was ok. Slow staff.
Sand at beach was great but water was weedy.
Entertainment was ok, not a lot of it.
- U4551KFtheresar (4/5): Not a resort up to standard - When i arrived and walked into the room, i realized it was not what i thought a resort should be. All the linens and towels were dingy, the floor was dirty, the sink would drain very slowly, no coffee stirrers, no creamer, they don’t provide creamer. The refrigerator only had 2 cokes, 2 beers. The food wasn’t very good and it was the same most days. Very, very small beach front, but filled with seaweed, could not swim. Pool is very small. Very little entertainment, all in Spanish! Would not recommend!
- T6275ETmariaelenag (8/5): Cancun 2026 - First time traveling to Cancun. Ocean Spa did not disappointed, it’s an older hotel but the rooms and grounds were very clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Our waiters Pedro, Manuel and Santos were awesome! Always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Fernando our bartender was an excellent bartender and friendly. We enjoyed his service and professionalism
- Coastal43832286504 (2/5): Worst Vacation Ever - My wife and I have traveled all over the world, from Wengen, Switzerland to Bora Bora. This was by far the worst experience we've ever had. It started from the beginning. We used Monster's recommended transfer company for our airport to resort transportation. I went ahead and booked a private trip and was surprised to see another couple already in our vehicle. I just thought to myself that if they've going to Ocean Spa too, then I wouldn't make a big deal about it. However, luckily for them, they went to another resort. When I showed my reservations to the driver he was very apologetic and called his office. I was told they would take care of things at the resort (whatever that meant), and I knew we were screwed.
Got to the resort and my wife (a brittle diabetic) got very sick before we even checked in. We were forced to sit down for a stupid agenda review and were told the ONLY appointment we could attend the mandatory BS session was for two days later at SEVEN am! We are retired and don't do 7am, I told him, and he said it was the only time and we had to go to it. Monster should have been honest about this BS (the time), because if they were, we'd have never gone to this resort.
My wife was very sick for a few hours, so I took a walk around the property to see if it was better than the first impression. It was even worse! It's old and really has no business being considered a "resort" of any kind. I spoke to someone about my wife being a diabetic and could I get a few more Cokes for the refrigerator (there was 2 and 2 beers) and was told "no" we have limits. I bargained with them and said, take the beers (we don't drink) and let me have two more Cokes. They finally relented.
The "beach" is nothing more than a sandy shore right next to a multi-boat dock or marina. We are from Florida, live on the water, and would never swim in that cesspool.
The room has no bed lamps. The hot water took about 10 minutes to come up to the sink and shower (no joke) and the water stunk. The in-room towels were old and mostly grey. They looked like they were 20 years old and very unsanitary.
My wife was able to make it to dinner, but the food was horrible. I asked how we could access room service, thinking they might have a better menu, but was informed they don't have room service.
We went back to our room and immediately contacted our airline, changed our reservations and we left the next morning (this morning, 2/11/2026). We are now back home where I know I can take care of my wife and do not have to subject her to the worst "resort" we have ever been too.
It's late tonight and will contact Monster about this disgusting property and the fact that we wasted our time and money on this garbage.
- Q6235KPkevinb (10/5): Great time at the Ocean Spa Resort - We had a great experience hospitality, food and accommodations were great. Our interactions with Ivonn, Carlos,Antonio, Jorge, Luis, Francisco, Jesus, Jose, Jaret and Alexis were stellar. This team of individuals made our visit feel more like a family gathering versus strangers. You all were great and outstanding care, commitment to this brand was undeniably the absolute best. Thank you all and I hope to see you all again soon.
- 479mannyd (10/5): DLS Cancun Trip - Excellent Shuttle service to and from airport. And extremely friendly staff with lots of amenities for the family!
- Seaside18895740026 (10/5): Good Service! - The hotel completed my expectations and objectives. Thx so much for you service and attention.
- Dreamer40214404081 (10/5): Excellent Service - We had a great memorable experience with the whole team from morning led by Ruth up to the night led by Antonio. Their bartender is great too especially Jorge. They are all friendly Alexis, Jose, Francisco, Luis, Jarud, Ivonn, Carlos, Enrique and their Mini Patron Jesus. Excellent and awesome service!! Great Job and Kudos to the whole team! Keep it up!
- Q8630QXkevinb (10/5): Bass’ January vacay at Ocean Spa Hotel - My stay at the Ocean Spa Hotel has been a great relaxing experience. Members os the staff (Ivonn, Ruth, Charlie, Jesus, and Fransico) are all absolute gems and heroes for my vacation experience.
- mauricen2026 (10/5): Ocean Spa Hotel = AAA service & Friendly. - The hospitality from all the staff was sincere & helpful. We had a choice of 3 restaurants onsite & all of equal quality. Our room was clean & spacious. The beach is right outside the hotel with excellent views of the ocean. We highly recommend Ocean Spa Hotel for families or romantic couples. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Thank you Ruth & her team for making our stay wonderful.
- dorcasb654 (10/5): Excellent come here - The service was way beyond belief the staff is very good Santos Pedro roof in emanuel that has been working here over 18 years very good excellent I will visit over and over again thank you
- mikebY3903AF (10/5): Vacation - Everyone is really nice and friendly so far it's been a pleasure visiting here the food is really good and the drinks 🍸 we are enjoying are self here
- Z1084MIcarlosr (8/5): It's been a vacation! I got to meet new people make new friends and had fun relaxing, sun bathing, swimming, etc. - Nico and Isia were amazing company and people to have around! They made the party fun and joined in playing Volleyball whenever they got the chance. It's been a blast! I hope they continue to make people happy and provide good company to others.🤙
- Cruiser63379785250 (6/5): Experience at Ocean Spa - Old hotel but renovated.
Never did i get hot water to shower.
limited towels and toiletries for 2 ladies. no shower caps
House keeping and lawn maintenance werre top notch.
Staff at the Conceirge (Manuel, Led), Alejandro at the reception, and especially the entertainment team (Nichoas, Yasmin & Isiau) were very friendly and helpful.
there was yoga, stretching, bingo, volleyball, kayak and catamaran.
We had Italian dinner and were happy with the quality, quantity was tiny but you can eat as many dishes you wish.
Their regular food was buffet -for breafast, lunch and dinner. Limited not very many varieties.
Desserts were the same every evening. and I enjoyed their soups and fish. Tthe lady at the omlette station was very talented. Manuel and Yesus were very passionate about their jobs Henry our barman was always serving us with a smile as per our choice of drinks. There were snacks, like nachos, burgers, pizza, near the pool when the restaurant was closed.
there is a shuttle bus with timings to take us to their other 4 resorts and return.
I was looking forward for the mexican dance but none, a disappointment.
Plenty of children were in their children's playground.
Lot of mosquitoes and lots of reeds in the ocean, could not swim. Remember to put a lot of Suscreen lotion as i got sun burnt.
Plenty of vendors every few minutes.
It was a great relief that timeshares were not pressing.
overall it was okay but will not return to same resort. I had better time in Porte Vallarta and Las Cabos where the foid, entertainment and rooms were worth the money.
- Sherpa54315873582 (10/5): Relaxing Christmass in Ocean Spa Hotel. - It was our first time in Cancun.
We loved this resort. Especially the new food experience: probably the best Mexican food we ever tried. And we thought we knew Mexican cuisine. Turned out - we did not. The best part was culinary class where my child learned how to make guacamole. And of course eating it!
The room was spacious and very clean, AC made it a blast to come from hot and humid outside and cool down. The balcony had nice view. Surrounding garden area was well maintained. Hotel personnel was friendly and polite.
There were a lot of activities: yoga, bingo, aqua aerobics, parties.
Our favorite was the kids zone. The personnel there was simply awesome.
The beach area was small. We went kayaking - very safe since water is shallow.
Unfortunately we couldn't go biking - they did not have smaller bikes for children.
Bus shuttle provides transportation to other 3 hotels of the same brand. I recommend visiting all of them: each is very unique and has different things to offer.
I also recommend talking to people around: i learned a lot about Cancun, places to visit you may not find in any tourist guide for the area.
Overall, great experience. We are coming back next year!
- 106mariateresaf (10/5): Excellent service - Great service by Ivonn, Alejandra and Carlos. Always greets us with a pleasant smile ever since we came here. We always look forward for breakfast as they always give us a great morning service. Really great with kids. Hope to see them again on our next visit.
- 375karln (10/5): Ocean spa resort Cancun - My overall stay at the Ocean spa resort was very nice. It was a timeshare presentation vacation and I got in and out of the presentation within the 90 minutes. Although some people were taken to another resort that took 8 hours to go through with the presentation, the Ocean spa resort provides three restaurants. One buffet the food is mediocre at best. The bars are open till 11:00 p.m. and all of the bartenders are very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering drinks. Location of hotel is very nice. Although it's not in the hotels strip, it is at the North end of the beach. Very quiet and peaceful, although very small resort. It was a very nice place to stay for my first time in Cancun
- Z4886PLjg (10/5): Fabulous. So chill and friendly atmosphere - It was perfect every day and I slept good. I will love to come back. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is really good and the staff members are very nice and friendly.
- ashtong77 (8/5): A very welcoming space - The place and service is great the staff are quite friendly, they make you feel at home... the only thing is that the room is a bit dated. The entire space is quite clean. The entire space is relaxing.
- 292jameelb (4/5): Bare minimum for an all inclusive - Small older facility with bad food choices and a small list of activities that they didn't even explain to me. NO ROOM SERVICE.
- P5191RDjennyj (10/5): Love, love, love - I love everything about the hotel. The location. The vibe. The food. The amenities. Most of all the customer service. They’re all nice here, that you won’t feel you’re far away from home.
- aaroneG635FM (10/5): Great Family Vacation - This is a wonderful resort for anyone seeking a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is very quaint. We went as a family of 5 and felt very safe the entire time, they create a wonderful atmosphere. The a la carte menus for dinner are delicious and offer a wide variety. Access to the three other sister resorts was a great bonus and made the experience even more fun and exciting for the family.
- Departure35905857776 (10/5): Couldn't be better, unless we were. - Located in the Hotel Zone, the atmosphere was wonderful thanks to the staff who made it so. Isai, Nicolas and Yazmin, the activity persons, were some of the most enthusiastic people we've experienced. From the bike tours, to the Hobie Cat (small catamaran) we were so grateful to have them as our guides in the resort as well as the surrounding area. Isai, in particular, had one of the most positive energies I've experienced in the world. A rock band Lead Man who also devoted the majority of his time, while we were there, to playing volleyball with the kids of some of our fellow resort attendees in his off time. I would honestly factor in traveling to a resort just on knowing that he was there. Bearing kids or not.
The restaurants were absolutely fantastic. We had three options and on most nights we opted for the al a Carte which included Frida (a Mexican style restaurant), and Fusion (an Asian Style one). Fusion, the Asian blend, was our favorite. Not only because of the food but because of the wonderful servers. Specifically Luis and his brother along with Jesus (servers) . The energy and recommendations they brought were unparalleled to anywhere we have been. To be fair we don't fine dine much. Both restaurants offered a minimum of 5 courses. The final option was the buffet which was open every night and rotated in its ethnicities between Caribbean, Italian, Mexican and "fisherman". (not an ethnicity I know).
At the buffet, which was the most frequented food option amongst the resortians, the staff were also incredible. I wish I could name everyone that brought us such pleasure. Carlos, Ivonne, Ivone, and Manuel were a few that stood out. But again, every person that served was kind and were people that I would be so honoured to call co-workers if I was given the grateful opportunity, Luis' brother from Frida (the Mexican restaurant) also served there during our stay.
Finally the front desk staff. Again, I wish I could remember all their names. My only regret is that I was not a wealthier man so that I may have tipped the persons there more. Helpful to a fault. Stopping what they were doing, no matter the importance of the task, to help the person who was Infront of them.
The rooms were great. With the cleaning staff coming frequently and making 2 round minimum before the standard 3pm check-in time, it was extremely convenient to come and go from our room as we pleased as well as return consistently to a room with fresh towels and bedding as well as a freshly swept floor devoid of sand.
The value was amazing to say the least. A great asset was the ability to shuttle to all other resorts (4 in total). Shopping, sight seeing and peace of mind knowing we were having an awesome opportunity for what we paid was made easier with the shuttle service. Traveling up and down the east coast of Cancun there was nothing stopping us from experience but our own capacity to take in new things.
The vibe was perfect for us. As a couple, young and with no kids, we appreciated, however, the quietness and fun energy that existed. No one getting, "wasted", and causing a seen and the activity staff keeping the energy positive and high. The noise level that accompanied this was superb. Always a quiet place to read a book and always somewhere to enjoy a higher energy.
So many other great staff that I am remiss not to mention. Christian, the bellhop was one more to note. Please, do yourself a favour and go here. Message me personally if you have any questions. +1 6047513187 ( on whats app)
- angielO6161LX (2/5): Don’t bother - Beach was so okay. Drinks were terrible. We only had one meal while at the hotel (pizza and nachos) they were okay. Pool water was very cold. I wouldn’t recommend going here
- pocahontas9210 (2/5): Rooms smell moldy - Rooms are outdated, ceiling are not presentable. Beach is not good for swimming. Towels are dirty white. Bed is garbage. Food is great. Staff are nice. Activities are very good . Bus drivers are superb
- N9122NWcristianeb (2/5): Terrible experience Terrible hotel - Bedrooms are old and the water smells bad. The food is terrible, and there's no good quality alcohol. You can't swim at the beach. The staff is nice. The pool was green. All inclusive only work for 2 of the 4 hotels and the 2 the work is not worth food is bad and so the facility.
- U3329EXchristophert (10/5): Ocean Spa experience - Good experience, excellent service by all the staff members in ocean spa. Thanks for taking care of us in our vacation..
- 642tehg (10/5): Just amazing - Very nice view of the ocean, clean rooms, great food. The atmosphere was really nice with the music and the pool bar was very nice.
- m0raimar (2/5): The restaurant is outside the hotel, and when it rains you get soaked trying to get breakfast, lunch, or dinner there. T - The only good things I have to say are the pool entertainer and the pool cook who makes hamburgers, pizzas, etc., very nice, and a young man in the restaurant named Carlos, very nice and friendly; the rest were just for the tip
- B4638LHcarolinet (10/5): Perfect Vacation - Hotel is very clean, staff are amazing, courteous and feiendly.Foods are very delicious. There are a lot of variety everyday.
- lisawP1364ZK (10/5): WE LOVED IT!!!! - Our experience was excellent every one was extremely nice very courteous we loved it!!! The waiters and waitresses were fabulous 💙❤️.
Our cleaning lady was the best super sweet very genuine lady!!! We loved her, the room was amazing!!! This was a very beautiful stay the food was delicious, I would come back over and over!
- G5832WXrichardw (10/5): Excellent experience would definitely come again . - All the staff at restaurant are very courteous, very professional. Everything was very clean. Food was great , service was excellent .( Manuel , Carlos. , Pedro , and all the young ladies ).
- danielfJ2417RK (8/5): Bad experience with sales presentation. - Great overall but the sales presentation they had me wait all day for it for that reason I wouldn't go back gave me a bad taste!
- 737levarb (8/5): Family oriented - Serene, clean, hospitable staff. Family oriented hotel with lots of activities that cater for the family.
Highly recommended
- yazdialleny (10/5): Fun Time - Good time having delicious food and enjoy with person you love.
I loved the weather and time I had at Ocean Spa Hotel. I would go there again If I get the time.
- kerisat2025 (8/5): Enjoyable, affordable, accessible. - Our experience at Ocean Spa October celebrating our Anniversary was enjoyable. We appreciate all staff, all amenities the location. Food improvement but overall the stay was great
- LightPacker435941 (2/5): Worst Vacation Ever - The food was horrible with no flavor. My view was terrible. No breach. Had to pay for food at their sister resorts. Second worst vacation and I have been on at least 30 vacations.
- Z1845JPelisar (8/5): It was pleasant but basic. - The room was not was we were expecting for our anniversary. We were expecting something more modern. Getting to the hotel was good, no issues or concerns. The driver was really nice. Señora Maria was extremely sweet, helpful and kept our room clean. The noise level was fine with the exception of outside work being done before 8 .m. The atmosphere was nice and fun though!
- F3891YWjamess (2/5): i hope i took a photo when i saw the cockroach in my room. I took it upon myself to throw it out the balcony - My mom told me if you have nothing nice to say then just dont say it. All i can say is that im very dissapointed. I hope i took a phot1o of the cockroach in my shower, i even took it upon myself to throw it out on the balcony, so your welcome Ocean Spa.
- 708afshanr (2/5): Never book this hotel - Very bad experience…. Who ever is mentioned about their food and drinks they are right it not worth it to do all inclusive…. Drinks are watery and no taste food they dont have options for vegetarians or religious restricting diet …. They charge extra for lobster whats the point of doing all inclusive when u have to pay extra for food and on top of that you dont even get to eat because they tell u seafood options are finished … keeping in mind they have been told before booking that we can only eat seafood or vegetarian but no consideration at all…… never ever recommend staying here plzzz dont waste your time and hard earned money at this place .
- rogersP9541SE (10/5): Great vacation hotel in Cancun! - The Ocean Spa Hotel was a great place for our honeymoon, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming! Food and drinks were great as well across the property!
- gabydacosta90 (4/5): It was vacations not to struggle in hell!! - Lack of quality in liquors and food, the hotel gets the cheapest thing available and sold us as the ultimate experience in an all inclusive 5 star hotel, by the most it was a 2 star rating, the staff they were the kindest trying to help into what their can´t unfortunately they work with the resorces that managemente provides them, luckily I did not purchase nothing more in the second day meeting, in the hotel you do have the whole selection in liquours and the best quality in food, after the meeting is over and you don´t want to purchase another trap, they kick you out, you have the right to be in the area but no more services
- 76marivica (10/5): Excellent stay - Jesus night waiter very helpful & provide excellent service. Alejandra, Wonne & Pedro for day crew very helpful & gracious hosts. Great buffet breakfast. Very busy dinner from 9-10 almost closing so get your dinner at opening.
- Tony Alfredo (2/5): - Por mucho, el PEOR todo incluido de Cancún, la comida es horrible, re-calientan todo y la atención es pésima, aparte que las instalaciones están sucias y viejas.
- 952eurekar (10/5): Great Service - We had a good stay at OceanSpa with family. The room is clean and has a nice view to the pool/garden. The ocean view is nice as well. Restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially Carlos, Manuel, Pedro and Alejandra. Very grateful for the service they provide. Overall, great experience of the family.
- 513irenes (10/5): Great and fun experience for our family! Definitely going back! - I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ocean Spa Hotel in Cancun, and it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the Hotel Zone, this all-inclusive resort offers a serene escape with its tranquil ambiance and exceptional service.
- karenrP1753UA (8/5): Good experience!! - Very good service and food. The people give their names to be more close. Ivonn, Alejandra, Francisco, Alejandro, Jose, Alicia de animacion , Adrian y Reimundo the best restaurant mayor
- lisaaB6055JF (10/5): Great breakfast off the griddle. - Great omelette I prefered the grilled items over the Buffet because it was fresh vegetables the lady running the griddle was fantastic.
- L9555CBguillermom (8/5): Overall experience was good - Breakfast was the best part , the service Clemen gave us great, plus her cooking amazing we love her omelette eggs, place so clean defenetly a great employee you have here
- R8546LYcassandraw (10/5): Cancun, Mexico 🇲🇽 - Ocean Spa resort was a very nice place to stay. The hospitality was amazing. Ivonn, Santos, Miguel and Antonio were amazing servers and bartenders.
Thank you for making our first trip to Mexico a memorable one.
- Raquino Batronel De (4/5): - Only one swimming pool. Its only 9pm no elevator. Waiting area no fan .
- 77daler (6/5): Not "great," but not "bad." - Ocean Spa is a nice little resort, not in the hustle and bustle of the Hotel Zone. It is listed as a 5 star property. It is NOT. Think more like 2.5-3 star high end motel...which is enchanced by being on a quiet beach, with an adequate, but unimpressive All-Inclusive Food package. Friendly staff - not "dirty," but not spotless. Clearly showing some "wear around the edges."
- 870yoanaz (6/5): It is an average hotel - My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and prior to coming here we stayed at another hotel at Isla Mujeres. We absolutely loved our stay at Isla Mujeres and not sure if that is why we found this hotel to be just okay. However, we would probably stay here again but without the all-inclusive as we did not take too much advantage of it. We had tours and excursions booked so we did not get to spend too much time at the hotel. We ate out most of the time. The food is not bad, but if you are a picky eater like my husband, you will find that the burgers and hotdogs by the pool are better that the buffet food. Most of the staff is friendly others not so much. During our stay we encountered two rude staff members, (Receptionist) but the rest were all very nice and polite. Especially Daniel and Gabella were amazing, very nice and helpful.
- jeromesB2298TF (2/5): Got to do better! - We arrived late so we didn’t know the lay of the land so we had to eat the very limited buffet that night which was terrible. Then we woke up for breakfast the next morning and breakfast was limited with no sausage or hash browns, the waffles were burnt and the pancakes were hard. We went to go change for pool activities and the pool was cloudy, it hadn’t been shocked in weeks, the best part of the vacation is when we visited the sister resort the Laguna Suites.
- yolanyg2025 (6/5): Hotel has potential if necessary detail upgrades are made! - This Hotel has a lot of potential especially because its close to a lot of outside activities. To go to Isla Mujeres, the dock is like a 5 mins, theres jet ski and boat rental next to the hotel which makes it super easy access to a lot of the fun tourist things. The PROS and CONS are the following:
CONS: Outdated
-Out dated rooms (stay away from room 121.) The sewage goes right through your shower pipes so you can smell it all. We had to flush the toilet a few times for the smell to go when we were in the room but when we weren't in we would walked it to sewage smell.
-The "a la carte" food was just ok. we had better food choices in the buffet. If you can go to other hotels for their food, I say go. My husband and kids had, Chinese a la carte night and that was great per their reviews and experience. We wanted to try, "mexican night a la carte night" and the food was just ok. Their tres leches dessert cake was amazing.
-You have to go to a 4 hour presentation which for us it took most of the day and so be aware of times and activities since you might spend a day there.
- The pool looks dirty all the time but its the pool tiles that make it look like that.
PROS: Location, location location.
-Super close to "Sail Away" adventures guide. Lots of options of activities to do. Look for Leo, he is awesome. He will hook you up. We did extreme adventures because he recommended and it was super fun. You will not regret it. For a family of 5 we paid about $300. They pick you up from your hotel lobby and bring you back. We also bought their Isla mujeres package and we had a blast. Our kids ages, 22,17 and 8 years old came back super tired and excited from all the fun they had. My husband and I came back happy and drunk.
-Outside yard areas are super clean, very green and well lit at night time. They have a hammock which is plus.
-Night pool time was the best. Pool bar is open and easily access from the pool. They have music in the day time which makes it super fun for all guest.
-Pool volleyball. All guest are invited to play. Theres a lot of people playing at the same time and its fun to see and participate since new friendships are form.
- Gloria (2/5): - Front desk staff were not accommodating one bit due to our situation with the family, they made it so unwelcoming and made us feel like criminals, we will never recommend or stay there again. The only good part was the kitchen staff, housekeeping staff, servers and bartenders were nice and made a difference but because of the front desk staff never again! That first impression is a must cause it’s the face of the place. Daniel from Concierge was very nice and helpful.
- T6366DGbriang (6/5): Access to the other resorts was the biggest perk - Room was decent. Towel service was awful - we were always short of towels; same for availability of beach towels.
Pool and bars were very good.
Food was ok but lacked vegetarian options. Vegetarian food at the buffet was also being contaminated by shared serving spoons.
Our stay included day pass access to Sunset Royal, Sunset Marina, and Laguna Suites with a free hourly shuttle between them. This was the biggest perk.
- G3959RPcecilial (10/5): Excellent! - Of course I'm going to recommend this hotel to my friends, because they treated us super well, the food was delicious, the service in general was excellent
- Z6121VBkevinb (6/5): Nice Hotel - NO Elevator - The hotel has 3 floors with NO elevator. So if you have physical issues be sure to request lower level. The property is clean and well maintained. Staff is exceptional.
- Bogdan (6/5): - Small
- geionc (10/5): Great experience. Would come back with the whole family - People are nice. Activities are great. Food is excellent. I just hope they coordinate the arrival transportation better
- Nakia (4/5): - I liked Fernando. He made great drinks and always had good customer service. Gabella was cool as well but when I asked for some assistance, she lied and said ok but never got ne the assistance i required. Nicandro was terrible at securing my safety against a crazed taxi driver who got out the taxi to berate me and another patron. Nicandro did nothing to remove the trespasser. The supervisor did nothing to make me feel secure either. I nevee even met him although his employees lied and said id be able to talk to him.
For the most oart, there is not much to do here. Its good cause its fairly close to the ave where the fun happens.
The food coukd be increasingly better. They only ever scanned mine and my company's bracelets when it came to dining because they said people kept taking food and not finishing it. Why am I getting clocked for not finishing my food at an all inclusive resort? The breakfast was nearly the same everyyyyyyyday. And no it wasnt the same in quality. Whoever they had on Sunday 04/06 should be hired for everyday at this point.
The beach was raggedy to say the least but i mean, hey. Its definitely in its natural state. So its ok. At least you can take the shuttle bus to Sundet Royale.
- Handy Javier (10/5): - Beatifull and confortable
- D o r r i e jean (10/5): - The three daily event coordinators were absolutely amazing
- Douglass (10/5): - The staff were very considerate and attentive to my specific post surgical dietary requirements. Gracias 🙏
- Andrea Jo (4/5): - Great Stuff: The staff at the restaurant and bar was excellent - friendly and eager to please. Check in and out was quick and painless. The massage at the spa was awesome, but a bit expensive. The lobby was clean. The pool area was nice. Not so great stuff: The hallways and walls were dirty. No elevators - except for the spa on the 2nd floor - and we were on the 3rd floor. The bottom of the pool had chunks of the floor missing - saw a few bloody feet on adults and kids. The room: UGH! Very outdated and badly in need of repair. The bolt lock wouldn't latch and it looked like it had been kicked in at one time. No chain. The bathroom looked dirty due to scraped and chipped walls. We had 2 bath towels and they were rags. Had to ask for face and hand towels twice. The buffet was boring and the food is bland - we tried the Mexican, Oriental and Italian "cuisine" but absolutely NO flavor.
- andrewoS7773IL (8/5): A great place to stay if you're doing Cancun on a budget. Very family friendly. - To be honest, I was a little worried about my stay since I'd read some less than positive reviews of Ocean Spa Hotel. I don't know about those other folks, but my stay was very good. The room was comfy and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was a great value, Frida was quite enjoyable. The bar service was good, too. There's lots to do, including tours of Chichin Itza and Isla De Mujeres.
The only real negative is that the beach front at Ocean Spa is rather small, and the pool is nothing special. But there are free shuttles to some very nice ocean fronts at resorts that are part of the same chain so it's easy to find a beach that's more to your liking.
Ocean Spa isn't the fanciest resort in Cancun, but you will have a good time.
- Brenda (8/5): - The Ocean Spa Hotel was clean, affordable and nice for smaller scale hotel. It was wonderful to be on the beach side of the zona hotel , it was close to transportation to Isle Mujeres and public transit stops.
The buffet had great food and the ala carte restaurants were good to try something different.
It would have been nice to have access to the included activities of bicycles, paddle boards and kayaks as they were in the process of reviewing the current equipment.
- allyssar2025 (10/5): Great Experience for us! - The rooms are just right. I love how we can see the pool from the veranda of our room. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Carlos and Juan in the buffet area that made my dad's visit a special one as they welcomed him and treated him so well. I love the morning trivia and the afternoon games and activities by Jonathan, Elias, Mariana and Stephanie. All staffs were very nice and everything was kept clean.. My daughter loves the pool and spent most of our stay in their pool as they have pool for kids too.. I am so happy that we stayed in Ocean Spa Hotel.. We like the quiet and chill vibe of the hotel..
- glenroyf2025 (10/5): It was my wife and I fifth anniversary and we were happy to spend it in Can Cun. This was an experience we will cherish - Our stay at the Ocean Spa was an awesome experience. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The surroundings was very clean and well maintained. As for the food we ate to our heart's delight. And to top it off The live entertainment was icing on the cake.
- Eduardo (6/5): - Outdated, beach front dirty, staff - host near pool and jn restaurant not very friendly.
- Dylan (2/5): - This property is not anything like what it shows on Expedia. We went for our honeymoon and boy did we regret it. The beds were gross, the food was almost as good as microwaved food, and the pools were nasty. We stayed one night because we had to, then left for a different resort the next morning(The Royal Cancun). I had payed in advance for 1 week and only used one night. I’m out 1000$ now because they wouldn’t refund me. Don’t waste your time with this awful place. Spend a little bit more money and enjoy Mexico.
- A4284JTjenniferc (10/5): Great family vacation - Rooms are nice and clean. Great view from our room. Pool was enjoyed by my older and youger kids. Food selection was good. The pizza and burger joint was a good addition to the buffet, my olders kids enjoyed having to get pizza and burgers for their snacks throught the day. Drinks selection was also great!
- Getaway524257 (6/5): Good - Nice place, very basic, rooms and food variety and quality needs some improvements. The beach at the hotel is not the best, the major advantage is you can use other hotels facilities without additional charges (better food and beach) with transport included.
- Gennadiy (6/5): - Small hotel. Not able to swim. Food very limited.
- Misty (6/5): - This was a nice place. Very mellow and quiet. Reminds me more of a family kinda place with kids. Food was not the best. I left every meal hungry still. Everything was great. A little outdated but worth the money. Other thing is they should mention you can not go in the beach water at this resort which sucked.
- Johanna (8/5): - The staff is great, my room was clean and the air conditioner was just perfect. The food was not for me. The juices are made from powder. The alcoholic drinks are made with the same cheap powder stuff. The cappuccinos are good, much better than their coffee.
- Wil (10/5): - Worst experience in my 40 years of travel. Desk clerk was deliberately unhelpful, claimed she was the manager, and claimed she couldn’t speak English. Was on the phone with my travel agent for over half an hour, and when I asked what they said, she said “nothing”. On the phone saying nothing for half an hour… laughable. Deliberately unhelpful. Would not recommend to anyone.
- Aubry (10/5): - Really had a good stay for the price. We ate a lot everyday, the buffet menu changes for every night which we appreciated. Staff is friendly, everything was clean.
Good location in the hotel zone, ideal for morning walks and jogging. Most of all very peaceful and quiet in the resort, could be the season though (we went the first week of February)
Only downside is the beach. Not really swimmable and it’s small, it’s not the pretty crystal blue water you’re expected to witness in cancun. That’s why we took the free shuttle to their partner hotel Sunset royal everyday, where the beach is truly phenomenal. We also appreciated the free activities offered by the hotel , especially kayaking, yoga, and the bike tour. also got a free quick facial!
It’s a small resort, you will get bored quickly if you don’t go out and explore ( take the shuttle don’t miss out on that) I highly recommend this place for someone that wants a peaceful stay with great food and kind services. Excellent for the price!
- Prashantkumar (6/5): Budgeted property with low acceptance - This is not a beach property. There is marina point on property . So you can’t swim . Plus doesn’t look like 3 star . Also food variety was not good. Half of the time their pizza oven was not working
- Gregory (8/5): - Good
- Julio (4/5): Not good experience. - No hot water. The customer service in the kitchen was very bad have to wait for 1/2 hr for the server. Beach wasn't good.
The keys for the room wasn't working correctly. I Wil not recommend this hotel.
- Yiseth (6/5): - The room was clean, facility was average condition, food was okay not much choices. The staff by the buffet seemed upset most of the time, they barely smiled or said good morning, good evening etc. The pool and beach are nice good for families since they have a playground.
Entertainment was regular ended pretty early most nights.
- Estephany (2/5): - The hotel cleanliness is a concerning issue. My family and I got food poisoning from the buffet from day 1 preventing us from enjoying the rest of our trip in Mexico. The room given to my aunt smelled funky and the bathroom was not clean. She had to request to be moved to a different room because the smell was intolerable. When you walked in the hallways, there was water dripping down and coming out from the walls. The pool water seemed to not have been cleaned in a while.
Overall, the hotel seemed neglected and definitely not worth it’s rating.
- Lesley (2/5): - First, hotel does not have AC. Rooms were not available on time. Room had roaches. Room was dirty. Mini bar was missing one leg and it would fall over. I asked to be moved to another room they would not do it. I paid for a good view room they gave me garden view. Staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Food was terrible, cold not well prepared, we had kids and they had no variety. Pool area had almost no umbrellas. Overall my experience in this hotel was terrible.
- Mario (10/5): - Overall this location would be something I will come back with my friends and family.
- Rita (10/5): - It had a nice beach access and pool. Buffet was not very good 😳
- EVA (8/5): - El personal es muy amable, Rogelio nos atendió súper bien, nos ayudó a coordinar nuestras actividades. Y unos de los meseros destacados está Ricky, súper atento siempre!
- Sam (6/5): Hotel needs some cleaning - It was all inclusive and for what ever reason they charge $15 on my card. They ask you for a credit card when u check in, usually all inclusive don't. please be careful when checking out, make sure to ask you don't owe anything. We paid over $374 for one night only for ALL inclusive so why was a charge, we didn't buy anything from them. Resort needs some major cleaning. Rooms and food were just ok. nothing special.
- Rodger (10/5): - The staff is fantastic! Miguel and Jesus are fantastic bar tenders!! Viktor was a fantastic entertainer, really enjoyed talking with him as well! We would definitely come back.
- Joaquin (4/5): - Kids were getting feet hurt due to tiles from pool coming off. Pools were in bad condition. Service super slow. Food was not bad but same. No beach. Better options out there.
- Gwendolyn (6/5): - Food is not the best
- Raul (6/5): - Had a good time
- Erica (6/5): - The food was nasty. Not enough options.
- Gail Susan (10/5): - I was traveling by myself and was trying to stick to a budget. It was my first time in Cancun and my first time in Mexico so I picked the Hotel Zone. The Ocean Spa resort was very safe. As a single woman I was not concerned for my safety at all at the facility, on the beach or walking in the area. There were lots of friendly tourists and families. The facility was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. My room was nice, clean, comfy with a nice shower. I was pleasantly surprised when all the meals (including the bar) were included in the price. I thought it just included breakfast. I really enjoyed the food. The buffet always included healthy options but you could dine off a menu as well. There is a walk/bike trail on the road that is clean and easy to exercise. The ferry to go to Isla Mujeres was about a 5-10 minute walk. I took that by myself and felt very safe touring around that island. The only thing I would say about the Hotel Zone is that none of the beaches seem that great. Lots of seaweed. The beaches on Isla Mujeres were pristine. The other thing is I couldn't find was a place to get a pedicure so I went without! All and all a really nice stay. I'd recommend Ocean Spa and would stay there again.
- Emily (8/5): - This has a nice family atmosphere. The food was good, all the staff were very helpful and it was very clean. We did not get sick eating the food or drinking the water.
We ocean water was a bit murky so we didn’t swim there but took the shuttle to other beaches.
Note: it did cost more upon check in than Expedia had listed (17000 mxn instead of 10000)
- PANKAJ (8/5): - More veg options needed
