• Adrian (3/5): Misleading description. Like sleeping in a rabbit hutch. - It's in a terrific location for the Royal Albert Hall and the museums. The neighbourhood is very appealing. They keep the outisde tidy. The room is described as a 'Superior Double"; in thousands of hotel stays over the years I have never come across such a misleading, dishonest description. Room 112a is absolutely miniscule, superior it is not. If there are two of you it is impossible to move around without one of you having to be on the bed - it's basically a game of human tetris. The wardrobe has enough space for three items of clothing and I have no idea where you would put suitcases if you had them. The duvet must be magnificent for one and a half people but unfortunately there were two of us. If you are a person of slightly wider girth you could well get trapped on the bathroom toilet as it is walled on three sides and the remaining space in between is quite alarmingly narrow. Room 122a also comes with the benefit of being directly in front of the doors for the equally tiny lift AND the cleaning cupboard, where, on Sunday morning, we were treated to a loud 20 minute debate from 4 cleaners who had plenty to say. They may as well have been in the room wth us - except of course they'd never have squeezed in. There are many alternative options for your stay in Kensington - I would advise you find one.

The continental was very nice, but the cooked breakfast disappointing. Tasted like it had been out on the hot plates for a while. Asked for beans and when they arrived only lukewarm.

• Alison (10/5): great location for West London, Royal Albert Hall etc. Very comfy and clean. - I liked that we could store our luggage with the hotel until we were ready to check in, and also leave to go to the airport. An added bonus and not all placed you can do that. The location was perfect for our gig in the Royal Albert Hall, 10 mins walk away. Also great bus service close by to South Kensington, Chelsea and Battersea which we used each day to get around. A very short walk to the underground stop also.Our room was spacious for a family of four and really clean and comfy beds. Our room was hot so I would advice a fan in the room for the summer months. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Really happy with our stay here and would recommend. the room could do with a portable fan for the heat. Thats all.

The room was very small and the shower was the smallest I’ve ever seen. The bed coverlet was also too small for the queen bed.
• Louise (8/5): Value for money. Will stay again. - Short walk to the Albert Hall for a concert which is why we chose to stay here. Windows too high so could not see anything outside. This also made the room look quite dark. Lift is also very small, we just fit in it and that was without any luggage.

Our room was fine but unfortunately there was a 'humming' noise all night so didn't get the best nights sleep (Room 523 I think) When we returned from the RAH went to the bar, ordered 2 cocktails which took about 20 mins to make, it wasn't busy!

Localisation à moins de 5 minutes à pieds du métro ou de l'arrêt de bus. Très beau quartier calme avec commerces. Il manque juste un petit frigo dans la chambre pour garder des boissons au frais.

• Sarah (7/5): Great hotel, staff experience varied. - We loved the fact that they recognised it was our anniversary and we had a lovely room with swans and petals. The bar lounge was comfy and cosy. Really appreciated the extra effort. TV remote needed new batteries but was fixed very quickly. Reception staff were great! The porters/door/bar staff weren't particularly welcoming, we seemed like a bit of inconvenience for them.

Our room was opposite men’s toilets, could hear next doors television and movement upstairs. Also our first night kept up by the broken chained blind and a constant noise which I’m not sure wasn’t coming from outside perhaps one of the air con units. We managed to fix the blind by untying it and I brought ear plugs for the second night.

• Diana (9/5): Ein schönes elegantes Hotel. - Gute Lage und etwas ruhiger in der Nebenstraße. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön. Es gibt einen schönen Aufenthaltsraum und einen eleganten Speiseraum. Das Frühstück war auch okay. Die Dusche war sehr gut, sehr guter Strahl. Das Angebot an Tee und Kaffee im Zimmer war auch sehr gut. In London sind die Zimmer viel zu klein. 😉 Es war trotzdem gemütlich.

The staff were very friendly, and the location is absolutely perfect — beautiful neighborhood, close to the underground, and just minutes from central London and Westminster. There are plenty of shops, cafés, and places for breakfast nearby. The hotel itself has a charming, classic English atmosphere. The room was clean, and housekeeping was great. Breakfast was also very nice. Overall, great value for money — we would definitely stay again! The only downside was that the furniture and rooms are quite old and a bit worn. However, it also adds a certain charm and fits the classic English style. Overall, it didn’t affect our stay, and everything else was great.

We were moved to a larger room when we were not happy with the room provided. The bed was comfortable. Windows were open for fresh air. Nice quality toiletries provided. Although we booked a superior double the room was tiny and very tired looking not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. There was no small fridge with cold water available in the room. Although the continental buffet was nice we found the bacon quite dry and chewy, the fried eggs hard, there were no mushrooms available in the hot selection.

Even budget hotels at least have a push button machine for more options. Tables felt cramped like they were trying to contain as many people as possible with no regards to comfort.
