- Andrew (4/5): Save your money, way overpriced for the conditions. Very poor facilities. - Location was good, lots of restaurants and walking distance to Central Park. Very run down facilities, tiny rooms, squeaky pipes. My room had motion sensor lights that could not be turned off for more than 15 minutes at a time, so when I would roll over in bed, a bright florescent white light would activate all throughout the night. Stains all over all the carpets. Pieces of my door lock were just sitting on the floor, see photo.

As preferred they gave us cold drinks when we arrived when we were hot and travel worn. We used the staircase a lot and it was hard for the staff to clean it because they were using it to change over rooms. The breakfast area was way too hot for the visitors and the staff. Needs ventilation or fans. Kind of expensive for one of the rooms where beds were crammed in there. Fresh fruit and yogurt instead of bacon would be appreciated.

The coffee was weak and should have been better especially for NYC. The hotel is under transformation so expect it will be much better in a few months. The room was tiny basically the bed took up the entire room. This was a true budget hotel but not at a budget price.

- Fiorela (2/5): A struggle - The location is just two blocks from central park The condition of everything was in bad shape. The bathroom was very small, and the toilet was cracked. The bathroom door didn’t lock, and the paint was peeling. Both the bedroom and hallway carpets were stained. The people at the front desk didn't have much experience; we asked for a taxi service to the airport, and they said it cost $65, but in the end, they said that wasn't the rate and it was $95. We ultimately opted for Uber because it was a variable rate and they charged inside the car, which didn't give us much confidence. We ordered food, and they never notified us that the food had arrived at the front desk

For the price (close to $350) is was a rip off. The bed was jammed into the corner, supported on an old, rectangular bed frame, and tilted toward the dresser and TV which was about 4" from the edge of the bed. The table lamp was falling apart and the tiny bathroom door was about 1.5 to 2 ft from the end of the bed. The 'window' was completely taken up by an air conditioner and 'looked out' on a brick tunnel about 2 ft from the 'window'. Awful, dark, and again, a rip off.

- Oscar (6/5): The only thing that we liked is the location. - The carpet in the first room that we were asigned was soaking wet in water, coming from the bathroom. The second room was a little better, but over all, the hotel was very dirty. The location is the only aspect that is very good. The overall cleanliness of the building is something to improve. All the carpets were either wet and soaking or dirty with food, dust and sand.

- Chiara (6/5): tutto sommato l'hotel ha un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo, considerando l'ottimo quartiere di manhattan in cui si - l'hotel si trova nell'upper west side, un quartiere piuttosto residenziale, proprio di fronte a central park, ricco di locali ma comunque molto tranquillo e a pochissimi minuti a piedi dalla fermata della metro.
vi consigliamo di provare questi posti che si trovano a pochissimi minuti a piedi dall'hotel:
- gray's papaya, hot dog buonissimi a basso prezzo, anche a colazione. da provare il papaya drink!
- picky barista, bar per la colazione molto curato con ottime proposte dolci e buoni drink
- 7th street burger, piccolo locale con gli hamburger più buoni che abbiamo provato a manhattan e un prezzo super competitivo
- trader joe's, farmer market con vasta offerta di prodotti particolari e inusuali con bassi prezzi purtroppo la struttura è molto trasandata. i letti e la doccia sono comodi, tuttavia le stanze sono molto piccole e la pulizia non è ottimale.
ad esempio, al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato dei capelli sulle lenzuola e anche dopo ripetute sollecitazioni, queste non sono state cambiate. nel nostro soggiorno di 10 notti, i letti sono stati rifatti (senza cambiare le lenzuola) solo una volta e gli asciugamani vengono cambiati solo su richiesta.
la colazione è povera e la sala è piccola.
un'altra nota dolente è che c'è un solo ascensore per 14 piani, quindi si rischia di aspettare il suo arrivo anche per diversi minuti.

Quiero destacar la atencion del personal, que fue excelente. Me gusto todo, lo unico que tengo para decir como sugerencia, es el colchon. Estaba en muy malas condiciones, tenia hueco en el medio y eso nos incomodo para dormir. Pero como fue una estadia corta, no lo reclamamos. Es solo eso, porque lo demas fue todo ok.

- Margaret (4/5): Great location, hotel is in disrepair . For the price we paid for the room $300, it should be a nicer hotel. - Great location, friendly staff. The price was lower than others in the neighborhood. It was in disrepair. The lobby bathroom had a broken lock. The 11th floor hallway was filthy with boxes and some kind of white material on the floor. The window shades in our room were broken. The lampshade was cut. The television was mounted on the wall with chords hanging beneath it in disarray and the box to the TV was just hanging on the top of the television. The window screen was peeling off the window. The ceiling in the bathroom looks like it had been plastered and not painted in multiple spots.
That said, the bed was comfortable. The staff was lovely and the linens and bathroom were otherwise fine.

Il personale gentilissimo e cordiale. La camera era sporca, i corridoi peggio che mai. Il letto non è un classico matrimoniale, ma un po più piccolo, con le molle che distruggono la schiena. La colazione ha una scelta estremamente scarna.
Le carte per accedere alla camera nell'arco di 7 giorni si sono smagnetizzate ben due volte.
Non era presente neanche una coperta in più oltre al piccolo piumino presente sul letto.

Las camas son muy cómodas.
El desayuno está genial. Wifi sin problemas. La moqueta de todo el hotel se ve muy sucia y descuidada, lo que da muy mal aspecto. La de la habitación también se ve muy vieja.
El espacio de las habitaciones es mínimo, no hay sitio para colocar la ropa por lo que no pudimos sacar la ropa de la maleta.
Solo un ascensor para un hotel de 14 plantas lo que implica esperas largas para poder coger el ascensor.

that I could not move to from a queen to a small room for one day. and jennifer the clerk told me that she could not call or email booking because she did not have an email or a phone to request a change of a room. that is big total lie.
she told me to have to move out of the hotel or ordering a new room???? and loosing the reservation SHe said that i could not be transfered to another room and that cost me $270 plus for not beeing abled to be accommodated for by jennifer, then I had to go to another hotel that cost me another 2005, plus i had to move and pay uber and tips uselessly, in the amount of $600.
All that was because jennifer told me that she could NOT get in touch with booking by email or by phone and that i had to loose the money that my son paid, that he recserved by mistake for the smaller room that is not acceptable and also fraud. I should be reimbursed for the room that jennifer could not accommodate me and i had to move out , that caused me and my son $600 plus wasted a day.
and a lot of money.
there is one elevator, for 92 tenants????and it takes a lot of time to get into my room i did not like the jennifer action that she could not get in touch ith boolig to transfer the room from a small room to my present room 401 queen size.'
that is fraud and not acceptable. is like stealing moneys

Bath/shower control broke off in my hand, housekeeping said they were aware of it and part was on back order (so why put me in the room). Housekeeping never serviced my room once in 5 days. I had to take out my own trash and ask for towels. And more.

Przez cały tydzień pobytu, pokój nie był ani razu sprzątany, o czyste ręczniki trzeba było się prosić. W noc przed wyjazdem poprosiliśmy o ręczniki do pokoju to dostałyśmy informację że nie mają i będą jutro - dostałyśmy 1 czysty ręcznik na 3 osoby o godz. 11 gdzie wymeldowanie było do godziny 12. Kilkukrotnie zgłaszałyśmy że w łazience jest nieszczelne okno i zimna woda. Z oknem nic nie zostało zrobione, jeśli chodzi o wodę to Pani kazała nam rozkręcić na maxa żeby się rozgrzała. Skutkiem tego było to że woda pod prysznicem była albo wrząca albo lodowata. W dzień przed wyjazdem musiałyśmy zmieniać pokój o 3 nad ranem bo w naszym były myszy!! Obiecana nam została rekompensata w postaci zwrotu pieniędzy za 2 noce. Zwrot miał przyjść na konto - do dnia dzisiejszego nie otrzymałyśmy pieniędzy!! Pisałyśmy kilkukrotnie w tym temacie do hotelu, niestety bez efektów.
Podsumowując - bliskość hotelu do większości atrakcji nie jest warta nocowania w tym hotelu.

No tenían atención para latinos ya que sólo hablan inglés, el personal de recepción una chica americana era demasiado grosera, no prestaba atención para ofrecer el servicio, siempre se veían malumorados, el establecimiento es muy pequeño que incluso ubicar el hotel es difícil pues no tiene letrero visible.

- Ana (1/5): Serious billing issues, unprofessional behavior at checkout - I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. From the moment I checked in, I clearly requested that the invoice be issued to my company. The staff verbally agreed at check-in, and the same request was later confirmed in writing through the messaging system on Booking.com.
Despite this, when I checked out the front desk employee issued the invoice in my personal name. When I reminded her that the hotel had already agreed—both verbally and in writing—to issue the invoice to my company, she told me she could not change it.
She then walked away from the front desk and was gone for about 10 minutes while I waited there trying to resolve the situation. When she returned and I again asked about correcting the invoice, her attitude became aggressive and the discussion escalated unnecessarily. I was told to leave the hotel and security was called. I have the entire interaction recorded.
After leaving, I contacted the property through email and through the Booking messaging system. In those messages the property again confirmed that they would issue the correct invoice. However, more than two weeks have now passed and the invoice has still not been corrected.
I also attempted to resolve the issue by phone. During one of those calls, the person at the front desk stated that it was not them sending messages through their Booking account, which I found quite surreal given that the written confirmations about the invoice were sent there. On several other occasions my calls were simply hung up when I explained the issue.
Regarding the room itself: it was acceptable but not particularly clean. The windows were very dusty and the room felt quite cold during my stay. The bathroom was fine and hot water was available.
The biggest problem here is not the room but the handling of a very simple administrative request and the way the situation was managed. The hotel agreed multiple times—in person and in writing—to issue the invoice correctly, yet this has still not been done.

- Loreana (4/5): Not very accessible for people with physical disabilities. - I feel that I was mislead by the online advertising. This was the smallest La Quinta I stayed at. It was very small and tight, They said it was accessible but I barely could fit my mobility scooter through the front door and it had to be left down at the reception area, Also they weren’t very accommodating when it came to charging my wheelchair. A blonde young man in the morning that worked there refused to do so.

- kmmulligan (2/5): Poor to Non-existent Customer Service, Dirty Common Areas. - I am a college professor and was traveling for business. My employer has a state tax exemption as a non-profit. As instructed by the hotel, I showed the tax exemption number at check out, and they adjusted the bill. When I went to upload the receipt to my expense report, I realized that they had adjusted the bill of someone with a similar name who lives in Queens (even though I gave them my room number and confirmation. )Not me. When I tried to call the hotel, and asked to speak to billing, I was put on hold. Then the call disconnected. When I tried to call back, the phone rang and rang with no answer. This was the exact experience I had when I tried to call the hotel before we arrived to ask about the tax exempt status. It seems that when they know a guest has a question about billing, they disconnect, and then ignore the customer when they call back. The location is great. The hotel is run down and the common areas are very dirty. The rooms are tiny and basic, but clean. The front desk staff is apathetic, at best. Breakfast is good. But I would never stay there again.
