Craig (9/5): Outstanding service and gorgeous hotel, with just a minor quirk in room layout - We had a wonderful stay at Soleil Boutique Hotel in Hanoi. The standout feature of this property is undoubtedly the excellent staff. They are incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely care about catering to your every need nothing was too much trouble for them. The porter's are very helpful and knowledgeable of city attractions and good at recommending to guests the absolute best things to do. Our room was the Suite with terrace which was almost apart a design flaw with the bathroom. The hotel itself is outstanding, boasting fantastic rooms and top-tier facilities. Everything feels luxurious and well-maintained. The only downside we experienced was with the room layout. The design of the bathroom and toilet facilities(Not a seperate enclosed room and only segregated by curtains), felt a bit flawed and lacked optimal privacy/functionality. If you can look past that minor design quirk, the exceptional hospitality and overall quality make this a truly spectacular place to stay in Hanoi!

Cathleen (10/5): Great hotel in Hanoi, very nice for a few days in the Old Quater. - Nice hotel, good location in the old Quarter, walking distance to night market held Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Nice sky bar and pool (pool was larger than most star-rated hotels). The staff were kind & helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. We had a reasonably sized balcony with our room, though there was no furniture on it (could be for safety reasons). The room was excellent, with an extra-large bed, a beautiful bathroom, a shower, a bathtub, a desk, a safe, and a large closet; very spacious. The room again was larger than most hotels with the same rating. I would stay here again and recommend it. No complaints from us, although there is only one elevator; inpatient Westerners complained! I am a Westerner to avoid any hate!

Brandstetter (10/5): Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in Hanoi - Hanoi selbst wirkt an vielen Stellen sehr überladen und unstrukturiert – genau deshalb ist eine gut gewählte Unterkunft umso wichtiger. Das Soleil Boutique Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage – zentral und nur wenige Gehminuten von der Train Street entfernt. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Netflix und Prime sind verfügbar und funktionieren problemlos. Ein Balkon ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Die Dachterrasse mit kleinem Pool bietet eine schöne Aussicht über die Stadt und ist ein angenehmer Ort zum Entspannen. Die Bar ist eher klein, hat aber alles Nötige wie Bier und klassische Drinks. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Team an der Rezeption: sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer bereit, bei Restaurantreservierungen oder Tipps zu unterstützen. Klare Empfehlung – ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

niteshpadhi (10/5): Lovely stay on the edge of Old Quarter. Perfect way to start our Vietnam trip. - We loved our stay at Soleil Hotel in the Old Quarter in Hanoi. This was our first trip to Vietnam and Hanoi was our first location, so they were a great start to our trip. They helped us in coordinating our airport pick ups and a beautiful Catamaran Day Cruise of Ha Long Bay, which really helped us in avoiding any scams or unpleasant surprises. Once we reached Soleil, everything within Old Quarter is a short walk (5 - 20 minutes). We were able to comfortably explore the night market, train street and Hoan Kiem Lake at our own pace. Staying in Old Quarter is definitely the way to go if in Hanoi. Their staff is super attentive and helpful, connecting with us on whatsapp much before the trip and aiding us with any questions we have. There is no pressure in the upselling as well. They provide options and then it's completely up to us if we want to take them up. We loved our stay and would love to come back to Hanoi again. NA

The hotel is very clean and rooms are quite nice. We loved the rooftop pool and bar area. Above all else, you cannot beat the customer service at this hotel. Every person went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommend! No complaints

Rasika (9/5): Outstanding staff, perfect location - I had a really great stay at Hotel Soleil Boutique in Hanoi. The hotel itself was very comfortable, clean, and well set up, and the location is ideal if you want to be right in the middle of the city. It’s busy and lively outside, but that’s exactly what you expect (and want) from central Hanoi. What really stood out though was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but one member of the reception team in particular went completely above and beyond for me. I was having trouble getting Zalo working so I could reconnect with a pottery supplier in Bat Trang, and he genuinely went out of his way to help. He even used his own phone, topping up credit at his own expense to try and get my account verified. When that didn’t work, he reached out directly through his own Zalo contacts and managed to get the supplier to contact me via WhatsApp/email instead. He didn’t just stop there either, he stayed in touch with me on WhatsApp afterwards to make sure everything was sorted. That level of care and effort is rare and really made a difference to my trip. Overall, a very comfortable stay with outstanding service. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you value genuinely helpful staff.
patrick (7/5): Great base to explore Hanoi - Great location in centre of old quarter. Really good breakfast Unfortunately we had a mess up on check in. We were shown to an amazing suite then ten minutes later told that it was not our room and we were taken to a smaller one. We did stay in the room we booked but after 24 hours travelling to be shown a rolls Royce and then moved to a vw golf, it was a bit of a downer. The free cocktails as an apology were nice touch though.

All the staff were great but a special mention to the young gentlemen & lady (I can’t remember their names) who helped us with the storage of our luggage on return from Halong Bay yesterday. They went beyond expectations and made our transition to the train station from Halong bay very easy. Although the staff made us feel very welcome in the foyer area, given our deluxe rooms didn’t have any seating perhaps a more private area would be nice to relax in other than the area on the rooftop given the stairs. It’s just a small thing, we loved our stay.

Das Zimmer ist sehr klein, wenn man zwei große Koffer dabei hat. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung aber hier wurde man eigentlich Punkt 10 fast rausgeleitet.

She helped us with everything, advised us on various visits and restaurants, and was exceptionally kind. She is very talented. Our stay was even more special , thanks to her!!! We was available via WhatsApp to answer any questions and sort out small details for us. Can definitely highly recommend. The front doors to the hotel get locked at night. We were informed about this, so arrived back at the hotel a bit after midnight with the doors locked and everything dark. We stood around for a bit and eventually knocked. After a few minutes we realized someone was sleeping on the couch in the lobby and we eventually got him awake to open up. A bit strange….
