• Robert (10/5): - A quaint hotel in the heart of Plaka the old district. Walkable to the ancient sites. View of the Acropolis from our small balcony. Not a pretentious property but clean, neat and you feel like your guests in someones home. Great ammenities. The staff was fabulous and very attentive. They stored our bags for two nights before we arrived for a last minute to Santorini at no charge. The owner has a gelato shop downstairs which was heavenly. Walkable to the large Market place. The only suggestion I would make is to install a handrail on the steps off the elevator. Thank you for your kindness abd suggestions on local cuisine in the area.

The hotel was in a fantastic location with stunning views of Acropolis from our private terrace with hot tub. Breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. Thanos, the hotel manager, was extremely accommodating and let us check in earlier. He also arranged transportation back to airport. We will only stay at Plaka Arch Suites if ever back in Athens. Highly recommend!!!
• Christopher (10/5): - The Excelsior Terrace Dream Suite wonderful -- was just as advertised, but note that the terrace is on the roof top up a set spiral stairs. It was great and fairly secluded, and not difficult to access, as long as you can handle stairs. The hotel is in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, but on the edge of that busy district, so not as loud a neighborhood as those more central to nightlife.
• Omar (8/5): - Look it is hard to rate the property, George was excellent host however there is no reception and no staff, apart from that the room I was upgraded too was excellent the so clean, for the price the stay was great.
• EMIN (10/5): - Reception is the gelato shop. Very clean, big and remodeled room. Beautiful neighborhood with restaurants and shops. Very friendly staff, good breakfast with hot order to made omelets. The only thing is there is no access to rooftop or hot tub unless you book the top floor.

Very clean and modern, my only disappointment was I had thought, looking at the photos, there was access to the roof terrace for all guest and when i looked at the small print it is only from one of the rooms

The room was very clean and included lots of little extras like bottled waters, a travel toothbrush, etc. The breakfast in the morning could use some attention… it runs from 7:30am to 10:30 and when we attended it near 10am many of the items had spoiled but were still out. It wasn’t a big deal to us and we just ate the fresh fruit and went in with our day. Would definitely stay here again.

The picture of the rooftop view w/seating and tables were not accessible to all the hotel rooms. Access was only allowed from one of the rooms. I found that to be deceitful. Overall, The location and the breakfast buffet was great. The room was spacious and the staff very helpful and friendly.

• Colin (8/5): - Given that this was our first time in Athens, this should be taken into consideration. This is a local, boutique hotel. Great location. Room was not inexpensive. Adequate size. A/C was unable to keep up. Limited amount of assistance as owners are off site and generally only available by phone.
• Jeff (10/5): Athens Experience - This hotel was wonderfully located. It was a short walk to most of the famous historical sites. Shopping and restaurants were minutes away making it an ideal experience. The hotel having a Gelato shop downstairs put it over the top.

We got help with our baggage, a tour of the room, an overview of the area and some great restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was great, and the staff were extremely friendly. The room was nicely renovated and very quiet at night. The location was close to all the sites, shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s right in the middle of the action, just minutes on foot to the Acropolis and Hadrian’s Arch, and Syntagma, and Anafiotika, and basically anywhere else you might want to go. We splurged on the Excelsior Terrace Dream Suite, which had plenty of room for the three of us—and a newly renovated bathroom with TWO showers!—and the private rooftop deck with hot tub and view of the Acropolis is divine! Breakfast is served in the courtyard and there is a buffet, plus hot breakfast made to order. To top it all off, the staff were lovely. Highly recommended!

The room was absolutely perfect and having the little staircase outside of our room to head to the roof to relax in the hot tub (with a breathtaking view of the Acropolis was fantastic!). In the evening, the world right outside of the hotel changed into lights and smells and restaurants popping up everywhere! Plus, Who ho can pass up a hotel that has an ice-cream shop attached? I will only book at Plaka Arch Suites when I visit Athens.
• Barrett (6/5): - We stayed in the suite with the roof top and hot tub. It was fine - not a luxury place you would bring other people to see. The place is worn with "older updates" that appear to have been performed by a novice..."cloppy" plank flooring, entry level tile and fixtures that were poorly installed. Shower head/bar is loose, light fixtures are loose, light switches behind the TV, missing towel bars and crooked towel bars, mold on the ceiling (because the bathroom is not vented, except by a window). The service is great, communication is great. Not a luxury suite.
• Dillin (10/5): - Very nice hotel. The staff is super friendly and the room is big, nice and very clean. Hotel is located in the best location with only a short walk to all the attractions. First class hotel. The only thing that could be improved is their wifi. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

• Tracy (10/5): - This is a wonderful little hotel located in a perfect area, within walking distance to the Acropolis and other historical sites, museums, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic and set in a lovely, unique, intimate covered terrace area and included an assortment of fresh pastries and fruit, but also delicious menu items cooked fresh. The hosts of the property are warm and accommodating. We were allowed to drop off luggage prior to check in, and upon check in, was greeted and escorted to our room, and also provided a detailed map of the Plaka area and personal recommendations of the top spots to visit. The hosts were also very quick to respond to all messages prior to our visit. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night!!

Yay, bathrobes! The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Nice to have a complimentary breakfast before heading out for the day. If we were ever back in Athens, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. You won't go wrong at Plaka Arch Suites.

Starting with the staff and especially our host Fanis, he and the entire staff were amazing! Fanis went out of his way to welcome us and help us with everything we needed. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the Plaka district and literally steps away from everything. You can't find a better location.

• Sandra (10/5): - A small perfectly located b&b-style hotel in the Plaka neighborhood of Athens with many views of the Acropolis all around you. This is an ancient building according to the literature. The rooms are simple, one may say old fashion but clean and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was updated and had multi spray shower head system, which after a long day exploring Plaka, was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was also included (meats, cheese and eggs, etc.) You cannot beat the area if you want to be fully immersed in the local culture. Note the hotel does not have a restaurant, bar or roof deck but there are many right around the corner. We did have a small balcony with table and 2 chairs. A bottle of wine in our room was complementary which was a nice touch. Please note they did not have a traditional check-in reception area, you checked in at the gelato shop next to the suites, no kidding. If you are looking for a great location and value, this is your hotel.

• Wayne (8/5): Lovely Hotel but roof access is room specific - We were excited to stay here but beware - the photo with the view is for a specific room. I booked this hotel for a group of us including my disabled mum. Not reading the small print but the roof access was not for all guests and only for specific rooms. Mum could not walk so wanted a hotel with a view. Unfortunately, thinking I booked the best rooms well in advance did not come with roof access. HOWEVER, beyond this, the staff, service and rooms with balconies we did have were great. Next time I would book the rooms with roof access. Superb location and minutes from everything. A great kiosk opposite selling snacks and drinks 24 hours and the best ice cream store in front of hotel. Breakfast was superb. THANK YOU for a lovely stay and highly recommend.

• Simon (10/5): - The area was great for all of the major Athens sights and points of interest were all in walking distance, (if you are a keen walkers` as we are). There are great resteraunts all around a 3 minute walk from the apartments. The accommodation was enjoyable, the room was clean and a good size, with room to move. Breakfats were a nice easy way to start the day, with a great chloice of fair. The owner was so helpful and was alwasy ready to offer advice and pointers as to where to find good resteraunts. About a 4 minute walk from the Parthenon, if you fancy the walk around 12 minutes from the Olympic stadium. Also the Tour buses meet about a 2 minute walk from the apartment, and so there lots of options. I would return tpo the apartments should I revisit Athens again.

• Elizabeth D (10/5): Only hotel you should stay in Athens! - Don’t bother staying in any other hotel in Athens! This is the hotel! The rooms are fantastic, the breakfast is absolutely incredible, and the staff is absolutely incredible. This hotel is right in the middle of all the action in Plaka, and you can walk everywhere. It’s only three blocks from the Parthenon.

There is basically everything you could do as sightseeing within walking distance and so many restaurants and cafes. We felt incredibly safe. The owner/manager was wonderful and super helpful. There is a gelato shop connected to the hotel which was a nice plus. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

• Kristin (10/5): - It was amazing! The host was wonderful! He gave me recommendations for dinner, shopping, and sightseeing. The held my luggage and arranged transportation to the port. The room was immaculate. There was a bottle of wine waiting and an enchanting balcony with a view of the Acropolis. Hadrian’s Gate was also just one block down from the front entrance. Great breakfast, too!
