Julia (10/5): Ein schönes, sauberes Hotel mit fantastischer Terrasse im Herzen Istanbuls und sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Perso - Die Unterkunft liegt im Zentrum Istanbuls und man läuft nur ein paar Minuten bis zur Hagia Sophia. Trotzdem ist es nicht zu laut. Wir haben bei unserer Ankunft ein kostenloses Zimmer Upgrade bekommen und unser Zimmer war schön hell, groß und sauber. Die Terrasse im obersten Stock, wo man morgens ein tolles, ausgewogenes Frühstück erhält, ist eines der Highlights von PALMERA Old City. Von dort kann man die blaue Moschee und das Meer sehen. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Personal in PALMERA Old City. Shahzad hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns bei allen Fragen unterstützt und uns viele nützliche Tipps gegeben. Auch das restliche Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sollten wir nochmal Urlaub in Istanbul machen, werden wir wieder hier buchen.

ingo44 (10/5): "Guter Platz" - Lage sehr zentral in der Altstadt, das Personal an der Rezeption sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lage Nähe Ottoman Lounge, da kann man sehr gemütlich bei nettem Personal was trinken und eine Wasserpfeife rauchen. ...das Frühstück war leider nicht sehr abwechslungsreich, habs an der Rezeption als Änderungstipp deponiert. Leider hats 3 Tage geregnet, sonst hätten wir auf der Dachterrasse sicherlich nett frühstücken können, aber dafür kann das Hotel nichts.

Ekaterina (9/5): Very thankful for this stay and hospitality,great money value and comfort - This was our first time in Istanbul, and the hotel pleasantly surprised us. It is a small, boutique-style hotel, but very comfortable and cozy. What impressed us the most was the hospitality. Although check-in officially starts at 2:00 PM, we arrived very early in the morning at 5:30 AM. The staff kindly accommodated us and were ready to check us in immediately, which we truly appreciated after a long journey. The hotel is very clean, and we were especially impressed with the bed linen — everything was of excellent quality and perfectly clean. The staff were wonderful. We would especially like to mention Mr. Shahzad at the reception, the ladies on the terrace — Asma and Firoza — who prepared our breakfasts, and the young man from Pakistan who worked at the reception in the evenings. Everyone was extremely polite, attentive, and ready to help with any request right away. They also helped us with directions, recommendations on where to go, and the best ways to get around the city. The hotel is located near many small streets with shops, and the tram line to the city center is only about an 8-minute walk away. From our window we could even see the Bosphorus. Everything felt very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! It would be nice to have a slightly wider variety at breakfast, with more vegetables, cheeses, and cold cuts. However, the breakfasts were still tasty overall. 😊

La sala en la que se sirven los desayunos tiene una terraza con unas vistas magníficas que nos permitieron disfrutar de los fuegos artificiales de fin de año. Se encuentra apenas a 15 minutos caminando de Hagia Sophi y de Sultanahmed Camii. Las habitaciones son sencillas y no son exactamente como se ven en las fotos aunque están haciendo mejoras de mantenimiento. La limpieza de la habitación solo se realiza bajo petición. El desayuno es típico turco y no tienes opción de elegir.

Asmae (1/5): Catastrophe - Nothing Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. We booked a room for four adults and an 8-year-old child for five nights at the 1st January. Upon arrival, we discovered that the room did not match the photos shown on the website at all. We found personal items left behind by previous guests (a child’s pen and a baby bottle). After checking the room, we noticed dirt under the beds, dirty and torn bed sheets. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken and the flush toilet was not working. We reported these issues to reception and gave them time to clean the room. The next morning at breakfast, the staff member named Ismail served a very poor breakfast and did not take the child into consideration (an incomplete omelet and a very small portion). The breakfast was already limited, and I was also asked to pay extra for a second glass of tea. Before leaving in the morning, I returned the keys and reminded reception that the room needed cleaning and that the toilet flush was not working. We returned around 6:30 pm to find the room unchanged: still dirty, trash still in the bathroom, and a bad smell due to the non-functioning fun. After contacting Booking customer service, we were given replacement towels that were even dirtier, worn out, and stained, completely unusable. We also discovered that there was no hot water and the room heating was not working. Reception informed us that the water pressure was low, which explained the lack of hot water. The following morning, we were confronted by Ismail, who claimed to be the hotel owner and was clearly upset that we had contacted Booking. The situation became very uncomfortable, forcing us to leave the hotel immediately and book another accommodation. Very poor cleanliness, unprofessional behavior, and unacceptable service. I do not recommend this hotel, especially for families.

Abbiamo dovuto chiedere di pulire la camera e il bagno e nonostante questo la pulizia è stata effettuata in modo gravemente superficiale, anche in nostra presenza; la TV e alcune luci del bagno non funzionavano.

Kai (10/5): - We stayed several nights at the Palmera Old City and were extremely satisfied overall. The hotel is not only very modern and well maintained, but also exceptionally clean, noticeably more comfortable than other places we stayed at in Istanbul before. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely at ease. We would especially like to highlight the receptionist, Shahzad. He treats guests with great warmth and a natural willingness to help, without ever being intrusive. He regularly offers support simply because he pays close attention to what guests might need. For example, he offered to personally take our laundry to the laundromat and bring it back once it was ready, to get medication when I had a cold, and even to lend us his own MetroCard. Even though we didn’t take him up on everything, these gestures clearly show how thoughtfully the service is handled here. Tea, coffee, and water are provided in the room, and whenever we spoke to him, he kindly asked if we needed anything else. Additional requests were handled flexibly and without extra charges. The same flexibility applies to bookings: extending our stay was easy, with great openness regarding room changes and even the option of a free upgrade. Another major advantage, especially in winter is the indoor climate. We stayed here in December, and it was quite cold outside. In previous hotels, windows didn’t close properly and the rooms stayed chilly. At Palmera Old City, however, both the heating and air conditioning work perfectly. The rooms warm up quickly, and you never feel cold, which made a big difference to our comfort. The breakfast is also excellent. The staff there are very friendly, the quality is high, and the rooftop terrace with views over Istanbul, the Bosphorus, and the sea is a real highlight and a wonderful way to start the day. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. Considering the location, cleanliness, and level of service, the price is more than fair.
khalid (10/5): Stay like in Home - The hotel is excellent, and its location is close to the market, with many restaurants and Turkish sweets shops nearby. The hotel manager is a very respectful and well-mannered person who treats guests exceptionally well. Mr. Shehzad is also a wonderful person; he helped me with using the metro and was extremely kind, even lending me his own metro card. This made me feel that he treated me like a brother, not just a guest. The hotel is clean, and the room was tidy and well-organized. Considering the price paid, the hotel offers excellent value. The room size was good, the bathroom was clean, and the area was quiet. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and would like to thank the hotel manager and Mr. Shehzad for their kind and warm hospitality. This point is not negative, but just for clarification: the hotel is located at the bott of a downhill road, and reaching the tram line or the Grand Bazaar requires about a 15-minute uphill walk, which may be difficult for elderly guests or those suffering from back or heart conditions. However, there is a nearby metro line close to the hotel, although it is not as practical or convenient.

Il a fallu rajouter un matelas au sol pour que mon fils puisse dormir. D’après le gérant il s’agit d’u e erreur de la part de booking.

Beaucoup de choses à faire à pied (Sainte Sophie, la mosquée Bleue, la Grand Bazar) L’hôtel est très propre, les chambres de taille convenable. Les équipements sont suffisants (produit de toilettes, sèche cheveux, bouilloire avec tasses thé café, chaussons, télévision, climatisation) Nous avons voyagé en famille (parents + 3 enfants) Nous y avons été très bien accueilli. D’ailleurs c’est le point fort de cet hôtel ! L’équipe à l’accueil a toujours su répondre à nos demandes. Concernant l’équipe au petit déjeuner très serviable. On nous a servi un très bon petit déjeuner traditionnel turque. Très copieux. Le service petit déjeuner dure jusqu’à 11h, c’est vraiment appréciable surtout quand nous venons de l’étranger et subissons le décalage horaire :) Petit bémol pour la literie mais le personnel a su nous changer de chambre.

Ranjan (5/5): Mauvais rapport qualité-prix. Personnel sympathique. - La gentillesse du personnel… Chambre très étroite pour le prix et très humide. L’ensemble des équipements est endommagé et vieux (exemple la douche ne fermait pas, le frigo coulait etc…) Le petit déjeuner est simple et bon, mais ne justifie pas le prix de la chambre.

In anunț locatia figura cu parcare care ulterior s a dovedit a fi cu plata lucru ca l am descoperit la plecare fara o informare prealabilă, pret 10€ / zi.

Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations: • The beds in the room were damaged and uncomfortable. • The food and service were poor, and the options were not sufficient. • There was constant noise throughout the hotel, and the rooms had very poor soundproofing. • Although the listing mentioned parking, there was actually no parking available. • The cleanliness was disappointing, and on the last day no cleaning service was provided at all. Overall, the stay was not satisfactory, and I hope you will take this feedback seriously and improve these issues for future guests. Thank you.

До ближайшей станции метро Vezneciler-Istambul Universitesi 15 минут, очень удобно. Персонал , приветливый и обходительный. По приезду не было горячей воды, появилась на следующий день. В завтрак входило: кусочек ветчины, два кусочка сыра, маленкая долька помидора и огурца. упаковочка маслица/джема/шоколадной пасты и на основное яйчница. Кофе-чай, наверное сколько хочешь.

Dostaliśmy większy pokój ale nikt nas nie poinformował, że ten pokój jest na 4 noce a później bez zapytania i bez poinformowania przeniesiono nasze rzeczy do innego pokoju. Dotykano naszych osobistych rzeczy. Pokój nie miał tyle metrów co podano na stronie. Łóżka bardzo małe, a zapewniano mnie , że mają minimum 180 cm. Śniadania słabe- to samo dzień w dzień. Zdjęcia które są na stronie a widok na miejscu znacznie się różni.

Nous voyageons avec enfants (10 ans) 2 chambres non communicantes mais très propres et au petit soin. Petits déjeuners copieux. Nous avons pris l'option du dîner à la réservation, proposant des plats typiques turcs. Un séjour de 5 jours ou une étape dans cet établissement est l'idéal. Nous recommandons vivement ! Merci La douche reste néanmoins compliquée jusqu'à 9h, car pas d'eau chaude. Mais nous y sommes adaptés.

Kata (8/5): Sokat mászkálók szállása - A szálloda nagyon jó helyen van. Kedves volt a személyzet. A szállásnak nincs saját konyhája szerintem, mert a vacsorát lefóliázva, külön adagolva kaptuk előrendelés után. Nagyon nem erre számítottunk az étkezést illetően.
