Very good assistance from the owner who worked in the same building It was up on the fourth floor reached by very steep stairs. But it had a good view

- Matee (6/5): - The room temperature is not easy to adjust. It probably take 3-4 hours that heater must turn on before you check in. Otherwise you will have to stay in cold for 4-5 hours until the room get warmer. Otherwise everything good 👍
- Maria Camila (8/5): Cómodo alojamiento bien ubicado - Muy buena ubicación, cerca de la torre de Galata, cerca del puerto de Karaköy, posible de ir caminando a sultanahmet. El apartamento es cómodo, con todo lo que necesitas (excepto horno). El anfitrión es muy amable, nos respondió a todas nuestras consultas muy rápido, y nos brindó información. Aunque muy bien ubicado, la calle es bastante ruidosa y se escucha todo. Esta ubicado justo al final de una calle en bajada por lo que moverte con valijas no es tan sencillo.
- Hester (9/5): Perfecte plek om Istanboel te ontdekken. - De lokatie is geweldig. Het appartement was voorzien van alles wat we nodig hadden, inclusief een keukentje. Tip: leg een theedoek, vaatdoek en afwasmiddel klaar. De host was heel vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar . Er was een probleem met een lekkende ketel. Dit werd goed opgepakt door de host en we hebben er niet teveel last van gehad. Er werd ons ook aangeboden om van appartement te ruilen, dit vonden wij niet nodig.

- Alexander (10/5): Recommend! - It was great! Me and my wife booked the room on the top floor with balcony and got the great view, big room and good staffed kitchen. It was a little bit cold there (December). The key collecting was easy, but the instruction was received at 13:00 in a day of arrival, so you need to have internet in this moment. Not the thing "I don't like", but you need to be sportive to reach the high rooms. There is no elevator.

- lionel (7/5): - L'emplacement, la literie et le calme Le ménage etait plutôt moyen. La salle de bain aurait besoin d'un coup de frais. Les joints sont tous moisis. Il y a tous les jours quelqu'un est entré dans l'appartement en notre absence sans qu'on nous prévienne. Une bouteille d'eau au 3/4 vide a dû finir a la poubelle alors que nous pensions nous désaltérer en rentrant de ballade. Il manque des lumières pour le lit.

The bathroom didn't have good ventilation, so everything was damp, but okay for two nights. The kitchen was barely equipped with any tools... don't expect to be cooking crazy meals ;)

Lovely apa - In a very central location, close to many beautiful areas of Istanbul, awesome for walking. Well sized apartment with a cute balcony that we loved. Comfy bed and good facilities! Very busy area! We didn’t mind, but lots of street noise from it being across from famous steps, and a busy waking street. Hilly street. Also very many stairs to head up to the top apartment, 4 staircases with heavy bags!
- Inessa (10/5): Great place by Galata tower and bridge in - The location is amazing, by fjust above a famous Kamondo stairs, walking distance to Galata tower and the Galata bridge, the staff is very helpful, we left to go to Ephesus for a couple of days, they brought our luggage to storage and kept it for us. We happily came back to the same place. Our second room was great, 4th floor and the terrace above has wonderful views.

- PeterBrebels (7/5): Goede locatie - Locatie. Galataroren, wijk ad haven op wandelafstand. Idem voor de tram naar de andere kant van de Bosporus ook al kan je dat ook al wandelend doen. Wel opletten: ligging is zeer heuvelachtig, je zal trappen moeten doen. Appartement is goed uitgerust en proper. Houder douchekop aan vervanging toe. Op zaterdagavond wel wat geluid van op straat maar oordopjes verhelpen veel.

- Clara Ximena (2/5): - The bathroom is dirty and absolutely small. A normal sized person cannot sit stait in the toilet because there is no room for the legs. As for the shower there is no space at all, all the water comes out. It aldo smelled bad. The frige was dirty. We were staying 4 nights but just stayed one, there were bed bugs!! The only good thing was the kindness of the owner, he helped us bring our luggage up the very steep stairs and the when we left he helped us again with our luggage. The only thing is he charged one more night even if we did not stay there. The photos are misleading.

- Bobokhidze (9/5): Superb - The hotel is located in a beautiful building, featuring bright and cozy rooms. Despite the busy surroundings, it offers a peaceful atmosphere. It’s situated right next to the famous Kamondo Stairs in Istanbul and just a 5-minute walk from the Galata Tower. Karaköy Port is also within easy reach—a 10-minute walk away—where you can catch a ferry to the Asian side. The host was friendly and attentive.
- Emma (10/5): Incredible location, lovely host, and and a well equipped apartment. - The apartment is in an incredible location. The street is quiet but not far from public transit and major sites (Galata Tower is just up the street). When we arrived 30 minutes early for check in our host noticed us from the pharmacy on the ground level of the building and happily let us in early. We would see him everyday in the neighborhood and stop for a quick chat. In the evenings, we loved grabbing a beer from the corner market (2 min walk from the front door) and sitting on the rooftop deck to watch the sunset- you can see the Hagia Sophia!
- Markus (9/5): Well equipped apartment in the very heart of Istanbul - We had rented 2 nice apartments in the Center of Istanbul, Beyoglu, 3 minutes walk from Galata tower. The apartments were nice and well equipped, even if we did not use kitchen, dish washer or washing machine. Nice views from the upper apartments. The location is great, could not have been better! The host was helpful, friendly, and fast in his replies. Easy checkin by keycode. Bathrooms and beds were a bit small, but well usable. Not all windows close 100%, so there might be some noise in the evenings.

The only negatives were the bed was broken so had a very bad sag. I ended up sleeping on the couch. Be aware the stairs are very steep, especially if carrying up luggage. There is no lift

The shower door is not working, the hot water broke down two times during our 5-night-stay (the owner repaired it within a short time!). The airport transfer is only provided upon arrival but the return is not covered.

Right above the famous steps, and just a pretty building. We did often find girls taking photos indent of the entry door. The host and owner was nice, he met us and walked us around. The room had aircon was good. Not so much didn’t like but for certain people need to be wary of the very high step for the stairs. I would suggest if you struggle with knees or something like that may need to get a lower floor. For myself and my family it was great exercise so wasn’t a problem. Also there was no drying rack for our clothes although there was a washer which was great.

The location was perfect, with major attractions just a 15-minute walk away. - Pete (5/5): So scary, worst experience with them - With the budget, nothing to say much because it's fairly good price base on the location. The place is quite clean and look like they just renovated it. First, the stair is quite high, ao it's not convenience for people with big luggage. Also it's on 4th floor so if you like sport, no problem. Second, it's quite loud at night because people passing by very noisy. Also a lot of mosquito in the bed room also. Lastly, MOST IMPORTANT, the owner seems not only rude but also Scary. When I tried to call them first night when I arrive because they did not give a clear instruction on how to open the door with key, I called helped number but seem like they did not speak English, they just dropped the phone when they hear me speak English. Never mind, after a while we communicate on Booking message and I can get in. But the next day, when I tried to call again asking where can I leave my luggages, the man pick up phone angry (it was 8:30 - 9:00) and yelled (actually screamed) at me in Turkish. Even I tried to send sms in English and keep trying nicely t say please check sms, the guys keep screaming and I can feel my ears hurt. So yes, I decided to get out immediately and only go back later at 11:00 to pick up my luggages and run away from the place. Btw later there is a guy who can speak English called me back with the same number to say I can leave the luggage down stair but I was shock earlier so I don't even want to talk anymore to complain or else. Please think twice before staying here. I do not recommend this place.

Really enjoyed my stay and will rebook if I return to Istanb - A nice little self-contained apartment, situated in a busy area. Close to shops and not far from the tram or furnicular. Nice to have the small balcony, and access to the roof terrace. It could be a little noisy so wouldn’t suit anyone who likes early nights, or indeed, anyone with mobility issues.

- Kathleen (7/5): A wonderful stay in the centre of Istanbul - The apartment is in a fantastic area of Istanbul. Wonderful restaurants and cafes are nearby. Sultanahmet is within walking distance, or the tram is a short walk away. The ferry terminal to Kadikoy and Balat/Fener, is also close by. We stayed on the top floor, which had views of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Galata Tower. The apartment is located right near the beautiful Camondo staircase. The apartment was cosy and had a very comfortable bed. It was equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher (more on that below) and a stove, so you can cook your own meals and wash clothes. The apartment manager is great. He is very helpful and very responsive - he has good recommendations for places to eat and responded quickly when we contacted him. Unfortunately we had plumbing issues during our stay. The toilet failed to flush at random intervals unless the shower or bathroom tap was used first, and the dishwasher was also full of water until the last day of our stay. There was no cold water in the bathroom tap, which was more of a minor inconvenience, but together these point to significant plumbing issues. I hope that these issues are resolved for future visitors because overall it's a great apartment. Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent - they didn't come on a public holiday, whicih is completely understandable, but on another day with no explanation they didn't come at all, and on another day they came, emptied the bin but didn't replace the towels on the floor. The shower was also dirty. Again, I think these are simple things that could be fixed with a bit of attention - if these issues were fixed I would definitely return, as the apartment overall, and the responsiveness of the manager, are both strong positives.

- Deborah (10/5): Fascinating district, fantastic city views, clean comfortable apartment - Beyoğlu or Galata is a great district to stay in, the main centre is easily accessible over the Galata bridge leaving you more peaceful less frantic atmosphere to stay in and then a manageable walk or short tram ride to the main attractions. In the evening there is a lovely atmosphere around the Galata tower with lots of cafes and and restaurants. The view we had from the terrace was spectacular. The staff are super accommodating, friendly and helpful. The apartment block was really clean and well maintained. The district has an amazing history.

- Sergey (10/5): Rhe time in Istanbul and in the apartments was amazing - The place is good, everything is needed by a couple was provided by owner. The apartments are located in a very good place, very close to the Galata Tower but on the quite line, no any late and early sounds bothered us. Metro is also close, it is possible to reach the IST airport in hour and half or two. Just note that you need to start on M2 line Sishane station then need to switch to M7 line on Sisli Mecidiyekoy station and then go to Kagithane station and do the 5 - 7 minutes walk to M11 line (ask metro guards for guidance). The Istanbul is gorgeous and worth to visit it. The property No 8 Galata will allow you to get best from the city even you are planning to stay just for a couple of days
- batuhan (8/5): - Konumu oldukça iyi. Galataya 2dk uzaklıkta, balkondan Galata kulesini de görebiliyorsunuz. Yine 2 dk içinde de Karaköye ulaşıyorsunuz. Mutfakta buzdolabı, çamaşır,bulaşık makinesi,çaycı,tava,tabak,bardak,mikrodalga gibi gerekli olan her şey bulunuyor. Odalar ve otelin için oldukça temiz. Hijyen konusunda bir sorun görmedim. Otel sahibi cana yakın ve iletişim yönünden kuvvetliydi. Çok da güzel bir karşılama yaptı. Konaklama boyunca herhangi bir sorunla karşılaşmadım ama karşılaşmam durumunda yardımcı olacağı güvenini kendisinden aldım. Odanın çok tatlı bir balkonu bulunuyor. Ayrıca 5.katta da teras mevcut. Her ne kadar terası kullanmamış olsak da yaz ve bahar aylarında kalmayı düşünenler için oldukça kullanışlı. Tek dezavantajı kaldığımız oda 4.kattaydı ve merdivenler dar ve yükse. Bunun dışında herhangi bir olumsuz yorum yapmam mümkün değil.
