• Greg (10/5): Great location for 1st Tokyo stay - The location was close to the public transportation which we used most of the time as well as easy for an Uber/Taxi to pick us up, which we did when ready to leave. We also were able to walk down to Akibahara and up to Ameyoko Market and Ueno Park. There were also great restaurants around. Plus, all of the staff were so lovely, polite, and helpful!
• Briar (10/5): Excellent family intro to Japan and Tokyo - Excellent location, large room that easily accommodated our family of four with two teenagers. Even enough space to move the table aside and three of us to do yoga to stretch out our tired legs. Easy access to many different subways and transport options making travel around the city a breeze. So many food options, but the hotel itself is just between Ueno and Akiba so feels like a quiet retreat from the busy. Washing machines and dryers were very easy to use and always at least one available. Such lovely staff! Comfy beds! Nothing - it was all great for us :)

• OR KEREN (8/5): Wonderful staff, but the rooms could be better - We really loved the staff. They were amazing. Every single member of the team tried to help us in every possible way, and they were kind, lovely, and very helpful. The hotel also offers activities for children waiting in the lobby, and in general the staff were truly wonderful. Compared with other MIMARU hotels, which we know well, we felt that the rooms were in slightly worse condition. There is also no coffee machine in the lobby, which is usually common in hotels of this type.

The first room toilet wasn't clean properly, but we did managed to change to a bigger room which was much better.

• Barbara (10/5): Quiet hotel with the best staff - Mimaru Ueno Okinamachi is really a true gem in Tokyo. Big rooms, quiet area, very well connected to the rest of Tokyo area and the staff is simply amazing. So amazing we decided to cancel our reservation at the other hotel when we are coming back to the city and booked this hotel again! Nice beds, a lot of space and a small kitchen. You get to play simple games and win some cute prizes which our daughter loved so much! Also at the departure we were given a small gift and a beautiful letter, suxh a nice gesture. We used the luggage transfer service too and it was excellent, just keep in mind to book it at least 2 days prior to your departure from the hotel. As there is no breakfast at the hotel, we ate at cafe Lapin nearby which I strongly recommend. Many locals eating there before going to worki! Liked everything

Der var gode til at komme med forslag til spisesteder og havde en genial væk, hvor man via qr koder kunne finde alle de bedste lokale spisesteder mv. Super godt hotel, hvis man som familie vil have et godt og roligt ophold i Tokyo tæt på transport og gode steder at gå en tur såsom Ueno Park, og togforbindelser er geniale her. Kvarteret er ikke det mest mondæne eller high tech, men der er både familievenlige faciliteter og til fest lidt længere opppe af gaden. Der er gode vaskefaciliteter og eget køkken på de rummelige værelser. Der var kun 1 elevator, så man står tit og venter lidt. Vores hotelgang kunne også trænge til lidt ny maling, men værelset var pænt. Der er ikke roomservice og store fællesområder og den slags, da det er servicerede lejligheder, så det skal man lige vide. Til gengæld er der virkelig meget value-for-money ved at vælge sådan en lejlighed i fohold til at købe hotelfaciliteter til 4-5 mennesker.

• Scrivens (10/5): Very spacious great location for a family of four happy to share one room - This size of the room was much bigger than expected. The inclusion of a rice cooker was a nice addition. Although the beds were typically hard, but very Japanese, the amazing toilet made up for this. The beds were very hard but I think this is typical for the Japanese style. The hotel has many floors and only one lift, however it was not a massive issue.

Room was comfortable and had everything you needed. Kitchen was a bonus. Location was great. Close to trains, restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. Kids loved collecting everything for the bingo game and having ninja stars and games in the foyer. Perfect for families- we had 3 generations (11 in total). • Sally (8/5): Comfortable stay for our family of 5 in a safe and accessible area. - Very helpful staff; very clean facilities; very much set up to cater for families; good sized room for a family of 5; safe quiet area with a number of metro stops and convenience stores nearby; 5-10min walk to Ueno station area for lots of great restaurant options. It was exceptionally expensive. As a party of 5 we required a bigger than standard room, and I understand accom in Tokyo is very small, but I’m just not sure it was worth what we paid.

We loved the location - it’s next to the Yamanote line and other metro stations. The staff was super friendly and had many recommendations on the restaurants and things to do in the area. The accommodation was very clean and the location is central making it very easy to get around. Walking distance to Ameyoko Alley & Ueno Zoo and close to trains for all our other trips.

• Davin Lie (9/5): Amazing - I was truly impressed by the warmth and helpfulness of the front desk staff. They explained everything clearly and in great detail, which made the check-in process very pleasant. The room was clean and well-maintained. Although it was not very spacious for opening four large suitcases, it was still manageable. The bathroom was spotless, with strong hot water pressure, and there was absolutely no noise from outside. Overall, everything was excellent and I had a very comfortable stay. I would gladly return in the future. It was slightly unfortunate that the surrounding area was very quiet at night, with nothing much nearby—likely because it is an office district, so there is no activity after working hours. Inside the room, it would be nice to have a few additional amenities, such as a coffee machine. It would also be more convenient if a washing machine were available inside the room, so guests would not need to go down to the laundry area.

• Jolanta (9/5): Świetne, jak na warunki japońskie bardzo duże miejsce, BARDZO CZYSTE. Polecam !!!!! - Lokalizacja obiektu jest bardzo dobra, 700 metrów od stacji kolejowej, blisko sklepik całodobowy. Wynajęłam pokój 4 osobowy, który był bardzo duży, bez problemu mieściły się tam 4 pełnowymiarowe łóżka, stolik , 2 fotele, kanapa i aneks kuchenny, oraz walizki. Toaleta była oddzielna i duża, łazienka była oddzielna i duża. Oczywiście żel pod prysznic, szampon, ręczniki były dostępne. Ale najważniejsze, że całość była BARDZO CZYSTA !!!!! co jest dla mnie absolutnym priorytetem. Personel był bardzo miły i uczynny, i choć przyjechałam wcześniej niż zaczynała się doba hotelowa to pokój został mi wcześniej udostępniony. Na pożegnanie dostałam ręcznie napisaną kartkę z podziękowaniem za rezerwację i pobyt. Każdemu mogę polecić to miejsce. Jeśli będę potrzebowała zatrzymać się ponownie w Tokio to z pewnością tam wrócę. Nie ma nic takiego

The rooms are really spacious and have everything you could ask for , you have a kitchen and dining area as well as bathroom beds and separate toilet ! The staff really helped with restaurants and places to go! This was the best property we stayed in so far in Tokyo would definitely stay again!
