Guest Reviews
- C7213JTjenniferf (2/5): Horrible. - Absolutely awful. Very unfriendly woman barely greeted us. The ac does not work. She did nothing to help us. We are hot, miserable and greatly disappointed. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I am astounded that they are operating a business like this. Middle of LA in late May with no ac.
- Elma (1/5): À fuir !!!! - Rien Très mauvaise expérience au The Hoxton, Downtown LA.

- Cristiane (10/5): Nice place to stay - Nice location
- Steven-ncl (8/5): Good Downtown Stay with a great Rooftop Pool - Clean, comfortable, and modern hotel. As expected in such a busy urban area, there was some surrounding noise from the nearby night market and local activity, although things settled down around midnight.
The standout feature of the hotel was definitely the rooftop pool, which offers incredible views. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and a great option for anyone wanting to be in downtown LA.
- Louise (7/5): - Hoxton hotels always feel great All of downtown feels a little sketchy but I felt safe in the hotel
- solocationer (6/5): Beautiful but stinks - The hotel is beautiful and the staff were nice, especially Daija. Unfortunately it smelled very bad on the 6th floor, like sewage. The smell was in my room too. The room seemed clean, but the smell was just so terrible it was hard to enjoy being there.
- V9667YEA (2/5): Flexy Time Lies and Misrepresented Room Type - This property recently won a Booking.com Traveller Review Award. Our experience did not reflect that.
We booked the Biggy room and received a room that matched the Roomy listing on every visible detail, including size. When we sent management a photo comparison using their own website images, they responded that:
"...almost no two rooms are exactly alike. Because of the historic structure and triangular footprint, layouts and design details shift quite a bit room to room -- even within the same category....It's part of what gives the building its character, though I completely appreciate it can also create confusion when comparing website photography to a specific assigned room."
If that is true, it raises a real question about what guests are actually paying for when they select a specific room type. We paid for a Biggy and got a Roomy, and when we pointed that out with photographic evidence, we were met with "explanations" rather than accountability.
On check-in: we booked directly through the Hoxton website to use their Flexy Time policy, which allows you to choose your own check-in time when booking direct. Our confirmation stated after 12am check-in time. We called ahead before arriving and were told that no room was available until at least 5am. We waited in our car for a while somewhere safe, then decided to just drive to the hotel and try talking to someone on-site. Staff checked us in, but not before letting us know we should not have tried checking in until 5am. A room was available and ready the entire time. The General Manager later confirmed in writing that our booking was valid and should have been honored any time after 12am.
The room itself had no airflow. Adjusting the thermostat had no effect whatsoever. The room had not been properly cleared of a prior guest's belongings. We were on the second floor facing the main street and were woken up around 8-9am by music bass thumping from the hotel's own restaurant below, on top of significant street noise throughout the day. We got roughly four hours of sleep after a long day of driving.
The valet staff were the one bright spot.
- Kaisha (10/5): Lovely stay would stay again - Location, cleanliness, food and friendly staff Could hear the traffic
- AnxiousTraveler333 (10/5): Fantastic customer service at a cute and reasonably priced hotel - I recently stayed for two nights to visit friends on my way to San Diego and I had such a great experience! I have OCD and my worst and most challenging trigger is the hardest to manage when I travel, so I haven't traveled much the last few years.
During my stay, my trigger was tripped and Diamond (and later Frank) at the front desk were kind, compassionate, and professional. Diamond helped me a few times during my stay, and he was fantastic and friendly every time! Truly, five-star customer service from them and everyone else I interacted with on the property.
Beyond that, the hotel is super cute and super instagram-able! Before my anxiety kicked in, a friend came to meet me for lunch, and we ended up taking some photos around the lobby and cafe. So fun!
The rooms were clean, the shower was huge, the bed was comfortable. The windows were breezy and it is a bit noisy at night (it's in downtown LA!) but it wasn't unmanageable and didn't really bother me, even though I'm a pretty light sleeper.
- Janette (10/5): Adventurous and fun! - Always a pleasure to come here! Everything is perfect!!
- Dekel (10/5): Would recommend it - Nice decor and good vibe The elevators are a bit smelly
- Stay27397287638 (6/5): Ok place to stay not worth the price - Pretty decor but uncomfortable beds ac did not work and unfriendly staff. I would not recommend this place. There’s a place right across the street that seemed a little nicer.
- juanrS6772JL (10/5): The place to stay while in LA - Great staff, very nice and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and incredibly comfortable. Will definitely be staying here next time.

- luvv_the_beach (10/5): Great Stay at The Hoxton - The Hoxton is a gem in downtown Los Angeles. The service from check-in to check out was perfect, the rooms are quaint with retro touches, and the restaurants all provided great food. I highly recommend your next stay being at the Hoxton.
- Stéphanie (9/5): - Hôtel agréable
Le petit déjeuner ouvre plus tôt à présent ce qui est pratique Chambre petite

- hkesslergodin (10/5): Incredibly friendly and helpful staff - The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Extra milk for our late-night snack? Sent up. Toothbrush because we forgot one? Sent up. They gave us recommendations for local dining and activities and were just super, super warm. The rain head shower was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. Will be back!

- I6028ZOjenr (10/5): We would stay at the Hoxton again! - We had a great time at the Hoxton. The rooms were freshly decorated, and the pool was small but very nice. The restaurant staff was really the best. Friendly and personable, they totally made our stay. Mariah was very helpful and even gave us some travel tips around LA. Love!
- Octavio velazquez prado (9/5): -
- james (10/5): great stay will return - Love the place, we had dinner on the rooftop, dinner was absolutely delicious

- Rodriguez (7/5): - Debo hacer una mención especial para uno de los conserges de apellido Castro, que fue muy amable respondiendo además nuestras dudas. SU predisposición fue exelente!
- Epicureously (8/5): Ticks most boxes - There’s a lot to like at the Hoxton. Nice staff. Great check in/out.
Great roof bar and pool area.
Rooms well appointed for short stays. Great shower.
Quality of sleep is the big issue
No insulation from street noise and although not a massively busy road you here every noise.
I also had the misfortune to be opposite a room that was on a video call throughout the night. Walls like paper.
Breakfast very good (mudlarks dinette)
Sensible price.

- 216reggieb (10/5): Diabolically Amazing in all touch points, I will return again!! - This was my first time at the Hoxton Downtown LA or any other for that matter, I loved the staff and Angel was extremely attentive and patient. As a first timer in LA & USA, he left an endearing memory of LA and more so your Establishment. Rooms were awesome and housekeeping standards, world class. Atmosphere, 11/10, Nicolas at the restaurant, is an asset to your business, very polite and warm, so attentive and loved being served by him, he exude professionalism, passion and commitment. Please do pass this on to them. most of your staff were generally very helpful and I can't fault them. Angel and Nicolas took made my stay memorable. Give you 12/10 Bravo 👏 🙌
- L7589EEtoddb (10/5): One of my best hotel experiences - I've stayed at a lot of hotels over the course of my life and career, and my stay at the Hoxton was amongst the very best. Service was always prompt and friendly. When there were issues, they were they were taken care of. I truly felt cared for and about. Heather at the front desk especially made it that way. She was kind, attentive and affable. When I mentioned that my fridge in my room wasn't cold she had a person in hotel maintenance come and take a look. When he realized he wouldn't be able to fix it before his shift ended in 30 minutes he came and brought me a new refrigerator. In the meantime, she let me put my food in their fridge. When I asked if they had a helmet to use so I could ride a scooter an a social event I was invited to, she pointed out that they had bicycles I could borrow, I took her up on the offer and rode them twice during my stay.
The hotel decor and furnishings fit my personal preferences. The rooms are standard size for a boutique hotel (on the smaller side) but handsomely appointed. I really loved the bathroom, especially the shower. Everything was clean and well maintained and the rest of the staff from the valet to everyone I spoke with was friendly. There was one exception. They have a water dispenser in the coffee and pastry bar on the north side of the hotel. Both times I asked for water the employees were a bit short with me. That's an area for improvement but overall a great experience. One note to consider: it's downtown LA, so you're going to hear sirens and honking.

- J6727RTmarkh (10/5): Great hotel - I have stayed their twice. I like this hotel. The staff is great and the room is cool. I look forward to my next stay. I do have one recommendation. The rooftop bar and restaurant need to be open longer, especially on weekends.
- Johnson (9/5): Really cool hotel and staff is really friendly - I like the style that Art Deco retro vibe is really giving old time downtown LA. The parking situation sucks valet super expensive.
- ssJ211GH (2/5): Bad service - Paid $1,300+for 2 nights, got WORSE service than a roadside motel. The smallest room.
• AC died on day 1, waited 30 mins for a "promised fan" that never showed up.
• Staff kept stalling with "we’ll check" instead of fixing it, then tried to force me to move rooms at MIDNIGHT with all my luggage.
• Manager finally handed me 2 heavy fans at the lobby… and let a small girl carry them upstairs ALONE. No help, no apology, no care.
Rude, unprofessional, and completely heartless. This is theft, not hospitality. Never step foot here.
- y2says (10/5): Nice place! - A group of us stayed here for a business meeting and it was within walking distance to our training facility. It's a small, boutique like hotel. Check in was a breeze and quick. The staff at the front were all friendly. The room isnt super big, but it was clean and neat. The complimentary water and milk was a nice touch. I tried their pool and it was small and shallow. It was enough just to dip your body in and cool off. I tried ordering room service through the QR code, but it gave me an error message, so I called the front desk and they took care of me. We ate breakfast each morning and the staff were also friendly and food was decent. Not cheap, but that's normal. I also had to call to get an iron brought up as there were none in the room. Like other hotels that is in the heart of the city, you will hear a lot of noise. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again. However, if I was with the family, It's definitely too small.
- Denise (10/5): Style and Substance - The decor was so cool. I loved all the thoughtful details. They had a text option we could use to ask questions or request things. Very quick results with the texting. The staff was very helpful and polite. We would definitely stay there again. I wasn't 100% sure that people couldn't see through the shade in the bathroom. I should have asked.
- philipbD3438PA (10/5): Great Rooms, Vibes and Drinks - Had a lovely time at the Hoxton, comfortable and inviting atmosphere, beautiful rooms and great staff. I want to highlight Heather at the reception in this who was always welcoming, charming and incredibly helpful with all the major and minor inconveniences that come up when staying 10 days at a hotel.
Thanks again, we’ll be back!
- Gitazac (2/5): Terrible experience - Stylish Design Can’t Hide Incompetent Service and Poor Management
I am beyond disappointed with my stay at this property. While the hotel is visually appealing, the "hospitality" was nonexistent. For the price paid, the service was amateur at best and insulting at worst.
The Check-in Disaster
After a grueling 15-hour flight, we arrived 30 minutes before the official check-in time. Instead of a warm welcome or a place to sit, the front desk agent (who operates out of a cramped, drafty hallway desk) told us to go away and come back later. We were directed to the bar, where we were told we'd have to wait another 30 minutes just for a table. We ended up standing in a freezing hallway until 2:00 PM on the dot. No drink was offered, no courtesy was shown, and—surprise—the room was "suddenly" ready the second the clock struck two.
The Breakfast Incident
We paid for breakfast (it is not complimentary), yet the service was appalling. The hostess ignored empty tables and spent her time dancing and socializing while we waited. When I finally took a seat and tried to order, she became defensive and falsely accused me of "touching" her simply because I spoke up about the wait. It felt like a scripted tactic to deflect from her own laziness.
Room & Facilities
The "Roomy" Upgrade: We paid for an upgrade, but the room was "regular" sized at best. Definitely not "Roomy."
Maintenance: The windows were so filthy on the outside that you could barely see through them.
Noise: The soundproofing is nonexistent. We were kept awake all night by street racing and motorcycle noise.
Staffing & Management
There is a clear divide in this hotel: the lower-paid support staff were polite and respectful, but the front-of-house staff and "highly paid" roles were arrogant and incompetent. This property urgently needs a manager who understands hospitality; currently, it feels like a playground for employees rather than a hotel for guests.
The Final Straw
To top it off, they double-charged us for the "Hotel Ordinance Surcharge" at checkout. I am currently chasing them via email for a refund.
Bottom line: Save your money. A nice design isn't worth being treated like an inconvenience. I will never return.
- Miguel (10/5): - Todo nada
- T3242DOtomb (2/5): Worst Bed I have slept in, in 44 years - Everything about the hotel was great, great staff, unique rooms. BUT the reason people book hotels is for somewhere to sleep. I have never had a worse night sleep in my entire life. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed in which I have slept in my entire lifetime!!! It was two single beds slammed together to make a king. I have slept in many hotels that have done this and I always hate it but not nearly as bad as this. The mattresses were terrible. I ended up sleeping on the floor after a few hours of painful attempts to sleep in the bed.

- rosalinds658 (10/5): Lovely Stay at The Hoxton for a Concert at The Orpheum - We had a lovely stay at The Hoxton for one night in January. We were looking for a nice hotel close to The Orpheum (six minute walk) where we would feel safe walking at night. The Hoxton was perfect. Our room was great - large, clean, super comfortable bed, nice shower, and well appointed over all. Valet parking was easy and fast. Daija checked us in and out and she was terrific! She was very warm and welcoming providing great info - she was a lovely way to start and end our visit.
- Sundai (10/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): - The food and cocktails are fantastic. The pool is a nice place to hang out and was mostly quiet during the day. Room and service was great. Couldn’t fault my stay.

- DoctorJ1234 (10/5): Cute Vintage Hotel - I stayed at The Hoxton for two nights and loved every minute throughout my stay. Everything was perfect, from the room to the service. As a fan of mid-century design, I really appreciated the Art Deco touches. My room was vintage-inspired and spotless, and I especially loved the light wood–scented hand and body cream. The heated rooftop pool and views were a great bonus.
Also, I booked through Amex and received a dining credit and late checkout, which made the stay even better. Breakfast was delicious. The latke with smoked salmon was spot on. There’s also a nearby parking lot just a one-minute walk away for $10 per 12 hours if you don’t want valet.
I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Hoxton.
- luv42travel (10/5): Great Overnight Stay - Loved our stay in this historic building with little tributes to that history evident around every corner. We stayed in the smallest room, as we were just here for an overnight stay while attending a Christmas concert at the historic Orpheum theater. While small, we did not lack for any in room amenities, in room coffee, tea, water in real coffee cups. Bed was comfy. Just a note, there is no real privacy for changing before or after your shower, as the toilet and shower were in 2 small compartments off the entry to the room.
We started with a light dinner and sunset cocktails at the rooftop bar. Service was top notch. It was a short 2 block walk to the Orpheum. Which was nice, as this is not the nicest area, but we never felt unsafe. The hotel offers a $5 bag breakfast delivered to your room as early as 6 am in the morning. We decided to give this a try, as we are early risers and I like something in my stomach while I have my first cup of coffee. This bag consisted of a scoop of overnight oats, an apple and orange juice. This would be a great option if you need to take off early. We also ate a later full breakfast downstairs at Moonlark's. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and a great top off to a lovely short stay. I had the breakfast sandwich, with a light fluffy biscuit and perfectly done egg it was tasty and served with a side of fresh greens. My husband had the french toast, which while wasn't anything out of the ordinary was very good.
We would have done a morning workout in the rooftop pool, except for the pool is only 3 feet deep. More of a social pool than swimming pool. Open dawn to dusk. The only real drawback was parking. We parked off site. I would recommend just using the valet. Pricey, but a lot more convenient. Of course you are in the middle of a big city, so nothing unusual here.
Overall great stay. We got a great deal through Ticketmaster when we bought our concert tickets. I would recommend a stay here for anyone who had to be in the area for something.
- catandkids2 (10/5): Outstanding hotel - I would highly recommend this hotel as the service is amazing. The restaurants on site were also lovely and the room was great.
- Junious (4/5): Great location but the hotel was disappointing - Rain shower Restaurants
- C7960YJalisonp (2/5): Not Suitable for Tourists - Overpriced for a small and dingy room. Poor location for tourists.
Expensive and then you have to pay US$60-70 to go to West Hollywood.
Basically, a long way from anything worth seeing except LA Live which really is a poor excuse for a Times Square precinct.
- T1140PEcynthiap (10/5): We Love The Hoxton LA! - Had a great stay once again at The Hoxton! The hotel vibe is very retro and takes you outside of the chain hotel feel and offers lots of amenities. The communication from the staff via email and text is really easy and unstuffy--like having a conversation with a good friend. The staff is overall professional and courteous. The location is central to lots of things to do in LA--we were there for a concert at Cal State LA--and the commute was super easy. The service at the Lark and Innana restaurants was outstanding. The food and drinks were great and the servers went above and beyond in working with the chef to accommodate food allergies in our party. We love The Hoxton LA and will definitely use it as our home base when we're in Los Angeles!
- Thomas (7/5): Cute, retro, comfortable. - Cute, retro vibe. Very comfortable bed. Excellent shower. The property definitely pays attention to all the details. Offers in room coffee, tea, water, and milk. Room service was good, both food and service. Parking/valet only, no direct explanation of the cost. Very small room (I didn’t mind it, but for those who want space, this is not the place). Tried to charge me even though it was prepaid at booking.com

- Footprints632944 (10/5): Hidden gem in downtown LA - What a little gem in downtown LA! The hotel has the coolest vibe as soon as you walk in. Great music, friendly staff, cute restaurants. The design of this hotel is just perfect! The hallways are quiet and the rooms are so inviting. The attention to detail in the rooms is truly unmatched. The decor is cozy and chic, beds are just the right firm, pillows perfect and the touches of gold and brass just tie everything in. They have the cutest kettles for coffee, mugs for coffee with the sweetest messages and etched green glasses for your wine. They even provide a real wine opener! Hidden premium mini fridge stocked with water and milk for coffee. The shower is large and the rain shower head is probably the best I’ve ever experienced! Seriously a true delight! I can’t wait to come back again when we are back in town! The Hoxton has thought of everything! Love it!
- Chacha Mairo (8/5): Great - Was a decent place.
- Q1311RJcatherinem (10/5): Great friendly hotel - The Location and the whole hotel experience including rooms a service was really good . Heather on reception was exceptional .
- Discover51500747068 (10/5): Rooms nice, bed super comfortable. Daija and Jorge at the front desk were amazing!!!They shared what to do around town! - Daija and Jorge were super helpful sharing ideas of things to do around town. Nice clean room & comfortable bed. Would recommend!
- myamoose22 (10/5): 10/10 - This place was amazing! it was so cheap and everything we needed for an overnight. we were only in LA for about 12 hours, but i wish we were there longer and got to use the room more! it was so clean, and so nice. the staff were so helpful and friendly, and check in was very easy. I would absolutely book here again. another big thing is it felt SAFE which was huge for us being two young travelers. highly recommend!
- rhymeswithasia (4/5): All Style No Substance. - I was compelled to write a review hoping someone does not repeat my experience. I did not see reviews that adequately discussed the issues I saw. What I really relish for a couples getaway in a hotel, The Hoxton Downtown LA did not deliver. All style, but no real substance for the price.
Steamy hot luxurious shower? No.
We returned at 10pm to no hot water, and unresponsive staff, who acted like we were Karens just for asking them to check it out and see. An hour later we were having to use energy to pack up and moving to another room once the staff realized the water was indeed cold. This time, the shower was hotter, but the faucets incorrectly labeled and hit each other so canʻt even turn things correctly. Wish I took a picture but we were so done by then we were just resigned to accepting we overpaid and should have stayed at reliable budget chain. The hot water was spotty but we did not bother complain again. What can staff do at a hotel with bad infrastructure?
Cozy couples get away? Potentially embarrassing.
We could hear our neighbors intimate sounds through the wall and all conversation in the hall.
There is no place to wash your hands after the toilet except opening the door and walking outside to wash hands by the sink near the door. Inadequate ventilation so smells linger, and towels do not dry.
Our first room had separate toilet and shower but glass doors, so someone can observe you on the toilet through the pointless window. The second room had the same glass door but toilet not right in line of sight at least.
Hip and cute features? Not functional.
The upgraded suite shower has a rain shower, but a flimsy curtain where water splashes out. No well-lit mirror. The Roberts Radio is cute but no Bluetooth and fuzzy stations. No iron. Stay at the hotel and need make reservations to eat at the restaurant just like everyone else. If you want cute weekend brunch needed to have booked ahead.
It felt sad that such a cute place has been renovated but zero attention to the infrastructure needed to support keeping a 1920ʻs building functional for this level of a hotel. Price should be cheap and cheerful not luxurious. This feels like well done restaurants that happen to have some place to stay on site to crash. Not for a luxurious retreat. Left so disappointed and feeling cheated, not listened to by staff and just ready to leave.
- 125jewelm (8/5): Cool vibe. Small rooms. Friendly staff. Expensive parking. Good location for downtown. - Very cool vibe and has a restaurant as well. Rooms are very small, but decorated nicely and dimly lit. We traveled with our 1 year old and they gave us a playpen/crib for the room. Location is good if you’re visiting crypto or other downtown areas and there’s a coffee shop and cvs within a 5 min walk. We walked to the game at crypto and it was less than 15 min. Parking was incredibly expensive ($66/day for valet) so that was an unexpected expense. Staff from valet to check in were very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile.
- dbennett2511 (10/5): Art deco style lively hotel. We’ll be back! - Staff were extremely friendly. Hotel/room was clean. It was great we could make a cup of tea in the morning in our room. Breakfast was busy, couldn’t get a seat in restaurant side but did manage to get a table in other side. Only negative, our room was on 10th floor and we were woken at around 3am by furniture being moved across the floor upstairs, think it was from bar area. Would recommend it to others

- engrshoaib41 (8/5): Good but something to remeber. - It was good, and breakfast was not included, despite paying 250+ per night. That was the saddest part. Rest everything was pretty good.
- Mayalopat (4/5): Disappointing Compared to Other Hoxton Properties - Stayed at The Hoxton Downtown LA at the end of our trip after it was recommended by the bride and groom for a wedding we were attending. As NYC residents, the location felt super random and not cool at all—definitely not what we expected. The rooftop pool was pleasant enough and cocktails from the rooftop bar were yummy, but the Proper Hotel next door had way better views (similar pricing for this weekend).
The real disappointment was the customer service. Staff was pretty rude, and there were no bottled water options available the entire weekend (Thursday through Sunday) and no water fountains either. LA tap water isn't great, so coming from New York where we have solid tap water, this was honestly frustrating. We loved our experience at The Hoxton in Chicago's West Loop, so this felt like a major letdown. Wouldn't recommend this location.

- Ilan (6/5): - The room was clean and the breakfast service is nice. Pretty disappointed by the way the staff acted when we arrived. My partner was carrying 3 luggages by herself and no one offered her help, she had to carry them alone to the room.
- Eliza (10/5): -
- Matthew (6/5): - The location was super noisy, the windows were thin and you could hear all the cars reving and shouting outside in the street… and our room was pretty high up. The lady that welcomed us on the front desk was a bit grumpy. We also stayed at Hotel Figueroa nearby, and it was way nicer and a similar cost.
- Francisco (10/5): Very good - Staff were very helpful and polite!
- NatDavies (10/5): Beautifully decorated chic hotel! - Beautifully decorated, room was a cosy size but ideal for our stay, food was delicious and service excellent. Location ideal for what we needed. Only downside was not being able to keep our car with the valet pass check out time ( we had a few hours until we needed to collect our bags) so had to park elsewhere for that short duration.
- michellecY1667NG (10/5): A Home Away From Home -- Thanks, Heather! - I came to LA alone on business. I was pretty nervous, because I've never traveled alone before, and I heard that LA can be pretty unsafe. I felt so at home during my stay at this hotel. On top of it being beautifully designed (from the biggest things, down to the smallest detail), Heather (the front desk receptionist) was exceptionally kind and friendly. She really made me feel so at home, and like I was visiting a friend, even though I'd never met her before. I hope that I get to stay at this hotel again, if I ever visit LA in the future. Thanks Heather, you're the best!!
- R4689LIlilyk (2/5): Hotel refused to respond to me about items that went missing from my room - Wish I could leave a good review of this place as had a perfectly nice time staying there and I am genuinely not a fussy person. However I unfortunately can't ignore the fact that two items went missing from my room (including a difficult to replace vintage camcorder that I use for work) that I categorically did not take out of my room at any point while I was staying there.
I know they went missing at the hotel as I discovered they were missing just before checking out. Weeks have passed and they've still not been found and I'm currently being ghosted by the hotel. Zero response to my emails from weeks ago asking for answers or even just a response acknowledging me. Telling me they'll call me back every time I tried to speak to someone about it while I was still in LA only to never hear back on multiple occasions. Definitely just trying to get me off the phone rather than help me.
Can't believe I've had this treatment from a place I've paid so much money to, having stayed there many nights. Obviously losing something that should have been safe in your hotel room is disappointing enough. Not being offered even a smidge of compensation for it is more disappointing still. The cherry on top is being completely ignored for weeks after multiple emails requesting to discuss this. I'm now a couple hundred down on repurchasing camera equipment on top of my expensive hotel bill.
Will not be staying at a Hoxton hotel again unfortunately after the terrible way this has been handled.
- nikih654 (10/5): Phenomenal Stay!!! - We had an incredible experience here! I was initially intrigued when I saw the charming vintage style decor, it’s convenient location downtown, and the very reasonable room rate.
I am SO happy we decided to stay here, as it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had!
The staff was so very kind and welcoming to myself, husband, and our 5-year-old son. They even gave him an adorable little coloring book and pencils upon arrival- so sweet!
The rooms are so aesthetically pleasing, I just loved the design! From the unique dusty pink chairs, the cool tea kettle & mugs, and the shower- THE SHOWER…was the best shower I have ever been in. A rainfall shower that was the most perfect pressure I have ever encountered, I would go back even for just the shower.
The rooftop bar/restaurant has seriously AMAZING Mediterranean food with a great happy hour as well. We wish we weren’t so full- we wanted to order more things as we were close to licking the plates clean.
The little coffee bar inside was such a convenient and awesome touch, especially since they happened to have my favorite matcha by “Rishi” that really hit the spot! :)
I also have to add as a tea drinker, I really loved having complimentary, quality organic loose leaf tea packets in the rooms. I enjoyed a heavenly chamomile blend before bed that was just perfect.
Also, the 2pm check-in time & 12pm check-out time is such a convenient thing to offer. We really loved that!
Honestly, just pretty blown away at how wonderful our experience was. We 11/10 recommend the Hoxton, and can’t wait to return!
- kayode (10/5): Relaxing - Everything was perfect Nothing
- mendoza (4/5): If I stayed here longer than one night I would have recommended a different place. - I liked how close it was to the event we were going to. The property should have been more specific about having to pay for parking.
- Morgana Rayssa (8/5): - Værelserne var pænt og søde personale Maden i kaffe var ikke helt det bedste Benedict jeg fået
- K849DBvalc (2/5): Stole my money - I booked a room for one night and later called to ask about extending my stay. I was told to contact the manager, Michael Polli. After emailing him, I never received confirmation that an extra night had been added, so I made other plans for the rest of my trip.
To my surprise, the reservation was later extended without my authorization, and I was charged for an additional night. When I asked the front desk for assistance, I wasn’t able to get a clear resolution. My guest also wasn’t allowed to check in, even though I had confirmed his name earlier.
I hope the hotel improves its communication and billing process to avoid confusion like this in the future.
- Angela (10/5): - We had a great experience here. The staff, amenities, and overall style and aesthetic were great. We’ll be coming back!
- Hannah (2/5): - Technical issues meant they apparently didn’t receive the WhatsApp messages where I had asked several questions whilst we were out and a sou
- Gillian (10/5): - Great location, nice rooftop bar
- PAT (10/5): - loved the breakfast in the sack. did not like the location of the shelves on the wall. made it difficult to get in the room with luggage without getting bruised.
- Dawn (10/5): - Room was super clean & comfortable. Staff was wonderful & the breakfast was great!
- V1300EOmelissak (10/5): Highly recommended for great room and service - The room was very tastefully decorated, with a nice view and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Nothing to complain about at all.
- Elizabeth (7/5): - Nice modern hotel. LA really needs to cleanup Downtown. Has so much potential.
- Dale (10/5): Wonderful place - Always a good night's rest and convince to many things nearby.
- kevinsb2014 (10/5): Outstanding Boutique Hotel! - The Hoxton is a beautiful hotel and the staff is top notch. It is in a part of Downtown Los Angeles that has dramatically improved over the last few years. It was a PLEASURE staying there.
- BitsyBooper (10/5): Consistently great - We have stayed at the Hoxton many times. The service is warm and friendly, and the rooms are efficient and comfortable. The property itself is beautiful and conveniently located.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We have stayed at the Hoxton many times. It is a beautiful property -- no detail in the design was overlooked. The hotel is conveniently located, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are efficient and comfortable.
