- Dilara (4/5): - Das Hotel ist in einer sehr guten Umgebung und hat eine gute Lage. Die Terasse war auch wundervoll. Ansonsten ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein: es besteht nicht mal die Möglichkeit um die Klamotten einzuräumen. Sehr hellhörig, kaum möglich abends ruhig zu schlafen. Außerdem war das Hotelpersonal sehr unfreundlich.

Ofcourse I checked out and walked down to the other one were I will stay tonight at lower cost! Nu Hotel is a ’Big No No’ - beware!!

- kavita (8/5): Great location - The staff really make this hotel what it is. They cannot do enough for you and are knowledgeable too, The location is great as the attractions are close by. However… there are no tea making facilities in the room. There is no safe. No shelf in the bathroom for any cosmetics. The beds were lumpy and need replacing. Cleaner kept leaving our windows open even though our room was on street level. With no safe and us out all day, this wasn’t ideal. There were 2 power cuts during the 3 days we stayed. We couldn’t shower, no wifi and couldn’t see anything at 8am. No local area maps. If it wasn’t for the staff, we would have checked out and found somewhere else.

I went looking and found a duvet cover and used that as a blanket, told the staff but they did nothing about it. There were ants in the bathroom and the room was tiny. I felt like I was in darkness with no windows, the lighting was rubbish. My stay at the hotel ruined my whole experience of Istanbul.

- Javier Antonio (10/5): - Nu is a banging hotel inbthe center of Suktanahmet. Close to the train. Theres a cistern nearby with an awesome light show and the prayer calls arent too loud. The staff was excellent. Always nice and smiling and chatty. My moms room on the 2nd floor was tiny. Like jail cell small with no view. My room on the 6th floor was AWESOME! Big, 2 beds, nice views of a courtyard. Nice tv and big bathroom. The terrace has probably the best views of the Sea of Marmara. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Try and stay on the 6th floor.

- Syed (10/5): - This hotel is very near to the Sultanahmet area. The T1 tram is nearby which takes you to all the major attractions that Istanbul offers. The room was clean and the water cooler at the lobby was a big convenience. There was a terrace that gives a great view of the sea. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The AC in the room was not very cold but the rest of the stuff was great!
- Ayse (6/5): - The room had a fridge but it was not in use. There was a kettle but no cups or water (no bar fridge) ect to utilise the kettle. The staff at reception seemed very uninterested keeping customers happy, I requested a taxi be called and they made a few excuses and said they could call a taxi they know … who took me for a ridiculous ride … a 20km ride turned into a 49km ride! I certainly won’t be staying there again. The power went out at one point and another customer came out of his room to check the surge stopper on the floor. As for the things that make a boutique hotel; they do not provide anything but soap to wash hands so pack your own shampoo body wash tea coffee water and cups if you plan on staying here.

- ABDUL (8/5): - It is a nice cosy hotel with easy door step access to all the main and central attractions on Sultanamet area. All within 5 -10 minutes walking area. The nearest surrounding small restaurants are very reasonable and excellent reasonably priced. A supermarket is nearby. The hotel is on a mild slope so if anyone booking with disabilities and families with pram should be mindful. The rooms are small but are all very clean,new and modern looking and there is a lift. There is only limited space in the room if booking for 3 people like us. It is a family oriented hotel but only a small budget one. No room service facilities. Amenities in the room - a kettle but no cups/glasses. So please make provisions for your own in-room tea or coffee( we did). There is provision of cold drinking water in the lobby which can be used to refill your bottles or you can buy from supermarket. The crowning glory are the staff - Ali, Murad, Daulat and Furqaan were extremely polite and helpful and guided us very well. They deserve special praise including the cleaning ladies. The roof top provides good view facing the sea. You can buy your breakfast(very limited choice) for 5 euros. But you can always take your own cup of tea or coffee and have it on the terrace. The hotel provides pick up and drop off to the airport for reasonable competitive price. They also have facilities to buy sim and or portable wifi. The welcome on arrival could be better. Go for top floors to avoid noise.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent room but service needs work - Very good location in terms of proximity to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque - less than 10 minute walk. The room (economy triple) was spacious but a tight squeeze to open suitcases and the facilities were clean and tidy, with daily housekeeping. We were disappointed with the lack of attention to service, for example, after a long flight and arrival in the early hours of the morning, we found there to be no drinking water available in the room or available apparently in the hotel. This left us to have to drink boiled kettle water. Furthermore, on request of an iron, we were initially told it was broken and unavailable, and then the following morning they supplied us with an iron but no ironing board, which we had to return within an hour as another guest needed it. Ideally, there would be more than one iron for guests to use. The toilet seat was far too small for the toilet, making it very uncomfortable to use. The room would also benefit from a clock. Due to the great location, unfortunately we had to sleep with the windows closed as there was a lot of traffic noise in the early mornings. This meant that we slept with the AC on which resulted in us becoming ill. Beds were very comfortable, but would have been helpful to have a bedside light switch. All in all, service aside, the room was a great price and the cleanliness was also excellent.

- Sajadur (4/5): Service not acceptable. - Overall it was OK. My issue was the bedding had stains on it (red spots, speckles of dark marks and droplets of something on the bedding. I asked to change the bedding, a chap just came with a bed sheet (maybe he didn't understand me properly) when I showed him the marks, he said, it's clean but sometimes marks stay. Then he got sarcastic saying that it's not a 5* hotel and he'll ask the cleaners to sort it next morning. So we slept on a couple of bath towels on top of bed. Cancelled my stay and booked another hotel through hotels. Com. Also its on a steep hill.

However, The hotel is on a very narrow street, the street is busy and noise, and the room easily get dusted. - Verified traveler (8/5): Overall Great - For the price you are paying the hotel is great, the location is perfect as well. The only problems I faced are that the hotel is not sound proof because it is a renovated building so sound travel really easily between the rooms, there is no elevator so lifting baggage is a bit hard, and I think they should change the sheets daily. Otherwise I really recommend coming here for the great service and amazing price especially since the location is 5 minutes awayfrom the grand bazaar and the tramvay.

- Natalia (4/5): - It doesn’t look like hotel. It’s apartment building, so called reception is former living room. No elevator, we had to climb up with luggage. Room had a very strong smell of some cleaning chemicals. I could not take a shower, because hot water finished. Room was extremely small. Location is good
