The Renaissance Riverside Saigon didn't just feel like a hotel; the staff made me feel safe and welcome, truly like I was at home. I was especially touched by the housekeeping team, who left me a handwritten note wishing me a wonderful day. It’s those small, personal gestures that really set this hotel apart. The Club Lounge staff were also fantastic. Even when they were busy, they always took the time to chat with me about my day. The hotel has traditional decor but is a bit dated due to its age, though it’s well-maintained. A renovation would be nice. Breakfast has a good variety, but the happy hour at the lounge is just average.

He was very welcoming and friendly and had a strong eye for detail. He made sure I felt well looked after checking in with me. He watched other tables closely to ensure guests were well taken care of. Best of all was how welcomed I felt and what a pleasure it was to have a brief conversation with such an upbeat and vibrant person.
- sophia818 (10/5): This hotel delivers a 5-star experience, especially in the Club Lounge - We just returned from a one-night stay at the Renaissance Riverside in HCMC. The hotel delivers a 5-star experience in almost every way. The staff at the club lounge, particularly Winnie and the manager on duty, took care of our every need and made every effort to accommodate us -- making us comfortable in the lounge while we waited for a late international flight. The breakfast was outstanding, more choices than we could ever have imagined and all prepared expertly. The food choices during happy hour will all creative and fun, making it easy for us to relax and just enjoy ourselves after an intense three-week travel schedule. When we were leaving, one of the lobby staff -- Richard -- waited with us for our ride to get there, then helped us load luggage into the vehicle. Almost all staff members spoke English and seemed to enjoy practicing their skills with good conversations. Our 10th floor suite had a view -- on two sides-- of the Saigon river and all the while action on the street below. The only possible downside was that the bathroom fixtures and furniture felt a bit dated -- but that was easy to overlook, considering the total experience. We will return for a longer visit next time.

The staff are caring and attentive. I was fortunate enough to have a beautiful view of the river!! The staff in the Club Lounge are beyond great as they were attentive to my every need. Chau, Winnie, Money, Abby , Tin and the rest were quick to handle any questions, eager to please and always helpful with suggestions and ideas on the local area. The lobby staff were always attentive and helpful as we prepared each day to head out to our meetings. They always make the RR my home away from home when I am in HCMC. I can't wait to return again in June :)

From welcoming us at the front door to helping us enjoy breakfast, light delights, and the entire overall experience, I must highlight a special person named Caelum. Caelum approached me during breakfast and asked about my overall trip here in Vietnam. The city of Vietnam has already treated me well, but Caelum made it unforgettable with such a wholesome personal conversation. From that small interaction, he took the time to become a wonderful tour guide for my next travel destination by creating a to do list in Da Nang, which was something out of the ordinary to expect. We chatted and he shared all the greatest tips and tricks, even turning our daily breakfast trip to this lounge into a wonderful experience. On my last day here before checking out, I needed to say goodbye to Caelum. He remembered my boyfriend and my names and ensured our check-out experience was completed smoothly. Caelum is such a delight; he truly takes care of the guests and makes it a wonderful experience. His hospitality and kindness are definitely reasons I want to come back. I hope to see Caelum, Ton Chau, and Vy back here at the club lounge real soon. This hotel is such an experience, and I can’t wait to come back soon. Caelum! I can’t wait to see you soon! The staff hospitality and service levels are some of the best in the world. Our room had the best sunrise views across the river, watching passing ships and the hustle and bustle of the city below. Everything we wanted to see was nearby and getting a Grab rideshare was quick and easy. Thanks to Do Hoang Vy, Caelum, Ton Chau, at the lounge and Kim at the front desk.

The service I received really exceeded all expectations. From the front desk hero Vic making my life easier with additional benefits for the family, to the breakfast restaurant host Merida, who enthusiastically provided all local shopping haunts that were not on the usual tourist guides. Food was remarkable and we were so spoiled for choice. Counting the days to my next visit.

Immediately upon arrival the service and staff were incredibly helpful as well as welcoming. I arrived very early and way before check in time but Tien Lu (I hope I am spelling her name correctly) confirmed my stay, stored my luggage, allowed me to shower and have breakfast before I set off to explore the city. She also gave me a list of restaurants she personally enjoys. However, all of the staff members that I encountered during my stay were as equally helpful but I just wasn’t able to get everyone’s name. Especially the staff member in the spa who dug through dirty laundry to find a shower loofah I lost. I’ve traveled to many countries and I can honestly say the level of service I received at this hotel doesn’t happen often. Even the food was outstanding. I dined in the club lounge each morning and breakfast was always delicious and the variety of options were great. My room was also very comfortable and my river view was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel highly and i would also return if i am visiting Ho Chi Minh City again.

After our research, we found Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon as a viable option due to its location and good reviews. We were not wrong. Location is perfect! But stop is just outside the hotel, walking distance to restaurants, Notre Dame, Saigon Opera, Ben Thanh market, etc. All the hotel staff had smiles in their face and very accommodating and helpful. We did not mind the hotel being dated since it was well maintained and clean. I check the caulking in bathroom hotels and this was done nicely :) The value with paid is very reasonable considering it is a 5-star hotel. The hotel had a fully staffed gym, spa, and pool. For sure we will be coming back to Vietnam and staying at Renaissance!

The staff is excellent and went above and beyond to pamper the guests. Our room has direct river view and roomy for a one king bed. The bedroom and bathroom are older and could be renovated to match newer hotels nearby. This hotel offers great value for its offerings.

I chose the Rennisance River hotel for my stay in Saigon as this is where our group was staying. It was a great choice. I booked the Club level as it offered breakfast snacks throughout the day and evening heavy hour serves and cocktails. I cannot put into words the what a great stay this has been. I visited three different cities in Vietnam this trip and by far the Renaissance has been the best hotel of the three. Conveniently located near the riverfront has stunning views. The rooms are appointed nicely and the pillows conform to your head. The staff in the lounge are the ultimate professionals. They tend to your every need and always willing to provide the extra little touches. I’d like to mention one staff member in particular, Ngan. I can’t say enough about how professional and kind she is. She offered recommendations for things to see and do and when I mentioned I was looking for souvenirs to take home and coffee she provided outstanding directions to shops to find the best deals. Not only that but she was very kind and welcoming and really made me feel at home so far away from my own home. When looking for a place to stay in Saigon I cannot recommend the Renaissance enough. You won’t be disappointed.

Fast check in and room is clean, and all is working well, though rooms at the lower floors can get a little noisy in the night from the music blasting opposite the hotel and people talking in the adjoining room. Special mentioned to Lucy from the front desk. I didn’t expect the hotel to do anything when I submitted a feedback from the routine check in experience that the system sent to my email. But, 30mins after my submission. I got a call from Lucy and they apologise and offer to change my room to a higher floor. Thanks for the little gesture. Really made my day and got a good view of the sunrise in the morning at 6am! Breakfast wise is all good! Good range of variety and the staffs worked very hard to make sure you are well taken care off. The Vietnamese noodle section tasted really good!

The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt welcomed. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with modern touches. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided. Everything was well-maintained and exceeded my expectations. The hotel also offers a beautiful view of the river, which made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The staff at the breakfast lounge and afternoon lounge were especially professional and friendly. They provided excellent service, always greeting guests with a smile and making sure everything was perfect. The hotel facilities were excellent, and the location was very convenient. Whether for business or leisure, Renaissance offers a perfect balance of comfort and style. We truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

- Explorer44335862196 (10/5): Genuine Hospitality at Its Best - We had a fantastic stay at the Renaissance Riverside in Saigon as a family of three during Tet. What made it special was the overall experience. No single moment defined it, but the way everything came together. We stayed in a suite with lounge access, and even during the busy Lunar New Year period the service felt personal and sincere. The lion dance in the morning and the Tet evening show added a wonderful festive atmosphere. The lounge was especially busy on Tet night, yet the staff remained attentive. One team member in particular went out of his way to check on guests and even refilled our wine himself, simply to make sure everything ran smoothly. It felt genuine, not scripted. The daily thoughtful touches in our room, wine, sweets, a cheese platter, made us feel truly welcome. After we returned to Denmark, we even received a personal email from the hotel manager mentioning our family and our journey home to minus seven degrees. It was the accumulation of many small, considerate details that made this stay memorable. We would gladly come back.

The staff are helpful, warm and so welcoming (welcome drink and candies!) — especially the staff at the Reception, and in particular, Ms. Truc! Knowledgeable about all matters related to the hotel and the city, she is also highly professional, seamlessly mixing warm Asian hospitality with western norms. I would highly recommend this hotel…for either business or pleasure!

Tommy recommended a wine for me and it was very delicious. Yuki was vey kind in three ways. First, she brings me delicious nuts. Second, she pours me an extra glass of wine. Finally, the best thing that she gave me was a beautiful smile and wonderful conversation about Vietnam.

The hotel has a beautiful welcoming atmosphere. The room we were in was very neat, clean and tidy. The view was impacted by the construction being undertaken, however still stunning. The value overall was reasonable. The noise was not a problem at all, unless there was an event being held at the hotel and then it was a major issue and quite disturbing. The hotel staff were most professional, warm and helpful. They were able to assist us with all of our requests!

Upon request, the room lighting was changed to white light, which made it much easier and more comfortable for me to work in the room—an excellent attention to guest needs. At check-in, front desk officer Truc gave me a very warm welcome. She kindly shared a Ho Chi Minh City map and treated me to delicious cookies from TripAdvisor. Throughout our conversation, she maintained great professionalism with a genuine smile, which helped me feel relaxed and welcomed—especially meaningful as it was my first time visiting Vietnam. Upon departure, Ms. Tue at the front desk ensured a smooth and efficient checkout process. She also proactively offered assistance and coordinated staff support to help carry our luggage to the taxi, which made leaving the hotel completely stress-free. Overall, the hospitality and service quality were outstanding. I would gladly recommend Renaissance Riverside Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

It was well located and the views from our room and the rooftop lounge were fantastic. The food was excellent, and as we are titanium members of Bonvoy, we took full advantage of the breakfast and evening lounge for food and drinks. We had a minor issue that the staff resolved quickly and professionally. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel in this great bustling city.

The room was slightly shabby and dated which I didn't expect at this price.. There was a faint smell which may have been cigarette smoke The bath was small. None of the room sockets that worked had enough power to charge our phones. Luckily the shaver socket in the bathroom did work.

I stayed at the Renaissance Saigon on December 30th for one night, then returned from January 9th to the 14th. Both stays completely blew me away—especially because of the incredible hotel staff. I’ve stayed at many properties during this trip, and by far, the team here stands out as the best. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with sincere smiles and genuine warmth. No matter the department, every staff member engaged with me and made me feel truly welcome and at home. During my first stay, I was checked in by Emma. She was kind, patient, and answered all of my questions with such a positive attitude. On my second visit, Winnie (Quynh) assisted me at check-in, and she was just as amazing. Throughout my second stay, I spent almost every evening in the Club Lounge, and the entire team there made my experience unforgettable. I truly wish I knew everyone’s name because each person was outstanding. I especially want to recognize Chau Ton—she and Winnie consistently went above and beyond for every single guest. Witnessing that level of hospitality was honestly a bit surreal. I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Saigon. And as a side note: I truly believe this hotel has the best Bún Bò Huế (lemongrass soup) in the city.

- 783hungt (10/5): Hidden Gem - Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon - The Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon is conveniently located next to Bach Dang quay on the Saigon River. It is within walking distance to the famous Ben Thanh Market. This is our go to spot every time we visited Vietnam. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They would open your taxi and front doors for you each time with the biggest smiles. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the towels are ultra white and fresh. All club lounge staff spoke perfect English and are always willing to go out of their way to help you. The club lounge manager, Phu Huynh and his staff, Chau Ton, are best of the best. I highly recommend this Renaissance Riverside Hotel if you have a chance to visit Saigon, Vietnam.
