- paulgA1557AL (2/5): No housekeeping for entire stay – ignored throughout - No housekeeping for entire stay – ignored throughout We stayed here for 4 nights and, quite honestly, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. For the entire duration of our stay, the room was not cleaned once. Towels were never changed, and used/dirty towels were left in the room the whole time. We repeatedly contacted the front desk asking for clean towels and basic tea/coffee refills — nothing was ever brought up. To make matters worse, food boxes and rubbish were left in the room for multiple days, with bins piling up and no housekeeping support whatsoever. This wasn’t a one-off oversight — it was consistent across the entire stay. After returning home, I raised this directly with the hotel. Initial contact was made, but since then the communication has been extremely poor. I’ve had to chase repeatedly, including making international calls from the UK, where I was hung up on multiple times. Weeks later, the issue is still not properly resolved. This goes beyond inconvenience — it’s a complete failure of basic hotel service and customer care. Very disappointing experience overall.
- casua1trave1er (8/5): A good value close to Times Square, the Theater District, and Rockefeller Plaza - Great location between 5th and 6th, a short walk from the Rockefeller Center subway station, Rooms are on the small side but larger than others in NYC that cost more. Clean, comfortable bed, nice amenities in bathroom. Free coffee in lobby, which has a nice sitting area. Our room faced 45th street and there was some noise but no more than one would expect in Midtown and not enough to wake us. A good value for a room in the middle of it all in NYC.

- Quest67573244905 (10/5): Went Above and Beyond on Cancellation Policy - I had a reservation at Club Quarters Hotel in NYC, but my flight was canceled due to severe weather. Even though their policy requires cancellation before 6 PM the previous day, they kindly waived the fee. I really appreciate their understanding and flexibility—great customer service. I’ll definitely consider staying with them on my next trip.

- DKatz21 (8/5): Nice Place To Stay - There are two things about this hotel that are good. One is the location is fantastic on 45th in between fifth and sixth. The second is that the hotel is very quiet. Some of the downsize are not that bad if you know about it before you go. The room size is really small even for New York standards. I had the room with a queen size bed and I am very glad that it was just me that was traveling and not the rest of my family. There was maybe 6 inches between the bed and the bathroom. For one person it was fine and the room was extremely clean and the bathroom was modern and updated. The other drawback is that there’s not a doorman. There is security, but not a doorman. As I was leaving for the airport, Uber was being Uber and the person that I scheduled did not show. I needed a taxi to get to the airport and there’s nobody to flag one down. This was at 6:30 in the morning on a Monday. I had to walk to Times Square to an actual hotel with a doorman to flag down a taxi because there were none on 45th and there were none on the corner of 45th and Seventh. again this is not a huge deal but if Uber doesn’t show up, you are in need of a taxi and there’s not a ton early in the morning, unless there’s someone to whistle a taxi down. The staff was for the most part was friendly. There were a few that were a little standoffish, but for the most part, the staff was very nice. It was also a nice lounge area that has free coffee and espresso and tea and it was a beautiful area to sit and relax if you wanted.

So the room is dark and you have no idea if it’s day or night. No refrigerator! When you turn on the air conditioner you start to pray that you’re not going to die from the smell come out of it. ( fungus and mould).

They also handled my online shopping deliveries smoothly, and they even let me use a microwave, which was incredibly helpful. I also really appreciated the complimentary coffee and bottled water—a small but thoughtful touch that goes a long way in Manhattan. There is no breakfast served but that’s ok because you can literally walk across the road to Manhattan Cafe which has everything you need for breakfast and had plenty of seating. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and they have a lovely lounge on the ground floor which has free tea and coffee. My wife and I plan to visit NY again and will definitely stay at this hotel again. It’s a 10 out of 10 for me!!

There were four of us, two adults and two kids (7 and 4), and we stayed in a room with a bedroom and a pullout couch. The location was perfect for walking from Grand Central and walking to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and more. The room had everything we needed and I really appreciated the access to filtered water on each floor to keep everyone’s water bottles filled. We’ll definitely stay there again!

The vicinity to all famous sightseeing spots is a great asset of this hotel. On top, staff was very kind and supportive through out my stay in NYC, helpful with a few recommendations. A tiny gym on floor -1 is available 24/7 which I used every day and very much appreciated. The room was OK, most important clean. Overall, I do recommend the Club quarters times squ for any kind of stay in NYC whether short-, medium or long-term.

The location is very central, close to everything, and extremely convenient. You can simply walk out of the hotel and reach many places on foot. The atmosphere in the hotel is very calm, pleasant, and relaxing. The rooms are spacious compared to most hotels in the city and fully equipped with everything you need. The design is modern, everything felt new, and the room included a coffee machine, iron, hot water, television, and more. Honestly, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had, and I will definitely return. There was also a water station with bottles available to refill, which is a very efficient and essential service that I truly appreciated. In addition, the lobby offers a coffee machine and water, which shows generosity and consideration for guests, making you feel that the hotel truly cares about your comfort without requiring you to spend extra money on every small thing.

- 390merrim (10/5): Lovely hotel in Midtown New York - The Club Quarters Hotel at 40 W. 45th Street is a wonderful hotel. The service is excellent. The hotel is European in its ambiance and sleeping room style (very clean, very comfortable and just the right size for me), with a great and helpful staff. As a solo traveler, I found it to be ideal. It is within walking distance of Broadway’s theaters and many other attractions. I definitely will stay here on my next trip to New York.

- R639EMbenjamint (10/5): Great location for food and shopping and great staff! - Great location for different kinds of restaurants, food trucks, and shopping. Some places are on the same street and some take 3-7 min. of walking. Room has plenty of USB and electrical outlets to plug in your devices. Bathroom is very clean and great lighting surrounding the mirror. The toilets are super loud when flushing, but it's the kind that won't clog up, if you know what I mean. Some rooms require you to walk thru some doors by the stairwell to get to, just keep that in mind so you don't get lost. The front revolving door takes some effort to push thru. I use the side entrance to get inside as it requires just a wave to open. I don't recommend bringing your luggage thru the revolving door. Cleaning staff does a good job cleaning and putting the bed back together. I don't know if all rooms lack these items: safe, mini fridge, and microwave. One or a couple of the items would be nice to have.

I was traveling alone and felt safe in the neighborhood. Many options for healthy fast casual meals within a five-minute walk. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Some rooms and bathrooms are small but very well laid out with closet , shelves and drawers to put clothes and toiletries away . There can not be friendlier or more accommodating staff anywhere in NYC. It feels like you are staying at someone's home. Location is excellent. A short walk to times square, We walked to lincoln center and the whitney. I highly recommend.

- travellingwithshan (10/5): Christmas Stay! - We stayed at Club Quarters from 17th-26th December 2025. Check in was seamless, there is a comfortable lobby which is perfect to relax after a busy day in NYC. There is a refresh station with hot tea, coffee, fresh water etc. We often used the takeout cups for a morning coffee whilst wandering around the city. Past the Lobby there are plenty of seated takes to eat evening meals if you grab a takeaway. We often sat there, it was always empty and no issues getting a seat. We never had any issues with the lifts being too busy like previous reviews. They have toilets on the ground floor too. Our room was a “Superior room”, this had everything we needed for a long stay in the city. The room was spacious, with a sink, fridge, shower, fully stocked bathroom. The cleaning staff were great and we always had fresh towels and bedding. Our room was located at the back of the hotel on floor 4, no faults as it was quiet here away from the bustling city. The hotel is close to Times Square and all the main attractions. Grand Central station is around 10 minutes away so you can jump on the subway and get anywhere within 30 minutes. There is a few places to eat on the same road but not many- pizza takeaway and Starbucks. The WiFi connection was always great. The reception staff stored our luggage after check out, as our flight wasn’t until 19:00. Overall we loved our stay over Christmas time… thank you!

Although room soundproof not so good, as we could hear people talking on the hallway, but id didn't bother us. Apart from that, everything else is super fantastic. Love the coffee and sparkling water at lobby at all time. Great vibe and atmosphere, and staff made us feel welcomed.

The staff were supremely professional and genuinely helpful. The General Manager personally greeted us with warmth and true A+ hospitality, which made the stay feel extra special. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, offering excellent value for the location and level of service. I travel to NYC for meetings several times a year and Club Quarters Times Square will be my go-to hotel moving forward. I would also highly recommend it for non-business stays. Truly a fantastic stay!.

- 57leaht (10/5): 10/10 Experience - Great location, amazing hotel experience, excellent customer service. The room was clean and had all the necessities we needed. The room came with a Nespresso maker which we used very morning. Water stations were available on our floor which was extremely convenient. We got pork buns from Chinatown and asked if we could refrigerator them, the hotel then provided us with a mini fridge that was delivered to our room and plugged in by the time we got back from dinner. There's a great selection of bars across the street and walking distance. It's walking distance from Grand Central and easy to get to from JFK. This hotel will be top on out list next time we come back to New York.

Bathroom was spacious for the size of the room. White walls, white linens, zero decor or artwork in the room meant it was very stark. Hallway noise was occasional but inescapable. Room faced away from the street so there was virtually no street noise. Housekeeping was efficient & staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. This is quite literally just a place to sleep.

I personally liked that this hotel offered refillable water bottles and next to it a cabinet with toiletries if you forgot something. Only bad things was prices for the space we had. It was a bit small and there was no mini fridge to store anything so to get ice you have to go to basement floor.

This our fifth time staying at the Midtown CQ over the past four years, and I would say that WELCOMING and CONSISTENCY are the two best words to describe the experience. The staff from check-in to check-out are outstanding and go out of their way to make you feel like a special guest. We know exactly what to expect from well-appointed rooms with the most comfortable beds all the way to the best recommendations for restaurants in the area. We would never consider staying anywhere else in the City and plan on returning next December.

Over the years we have found the service and rooms CONSISTENTLY excellent, convenient and resonably priced. The front desk staff are always helpful and the rooms although smaller in size (some rooms are larger for an extra fee) we are very happy with them and ALWAYS are sure to book them when in one of their locations. As members of their Loyalty Program we get a "Night on the House" after two (2) visits for a small fee significantly less than the room rate. Bravo for a great job. Keep it up.
- Z6426UPkevinr (4/5): Room problem - I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days. The check-in experience was initially quite good, especially since they sent a virtual key one day before arrival, which was impressive. However, I couldn’t use the key at first and had to complain before it worked. Thankfully, the issue was resolved quickly. On the day of check-in, I only dropped my luggage in the room and went out. When I returned later that evening, I realized there was no electricity in the room, so I couldn’t even charge my phone. I reported the issue, but since it was already after 5 p.m., there was no engineering staff available. I was told to either wait until the next day or move to another room. Being without electricity and a charged phone in a new city is completely unacceptable. After further complaints, I was upgraded to another room. The upgraded room had a nice layout, but it was freezing. I turned on the heater and waited for 30 minutes, but the room remained cold. Experiencing a cold room during winter is extremely frustrating. I contacted staff again, but the same person couldn’t identify the issue and simply told me to wait until the next day or speak with the front desk. The front desk explained that the building is old and heating takes time, so I went out again hoping the room would warm up. When I returned around 3 a.m., the room was still cold. I complained once more, but was told there were no other rooms available and the only solution was to provide extra blankets. With no other option, I had to sleep in my winter clothes, which was a terrible experience. The following day, I was finally moved to a room with properly working electricity and heating. Unfortunately, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially for a first-time visitor to New York during winter. The hotel should ensure rooms are fully checked and properly heated before assigning them to guests. Overall, I am very disappointed with my stay.

- 104alfiej (10/5): The perfect hotel for your NYC trip. - I booked this hotel a year in advance for a 4 night stay in December 2025 and the price I paid looking back is simply amazing. £1,100 for 4 nights in a superior room with a queen bed is amazing value for money. The check in was easy, had to pay a $100 security which is standard these days, but no resort fees or city tax fees were charged (all included in original price). The room wasn't anywhere near as small as I expected with plenty of space and storage available and a screen that must have been 60-70' with a full TV listing available. Free water and tea/coffee was available in the lobby which was just what we needed for them freezing cold NYC mornings and evenings. Perfect location! Not quite in the hustle and bustle of times square but about 200 yards from fifth avenue, 5 minute walk to Rockefeller and Times Square with a number of bakeries in the area for breakfast. I am not sure i'll ever get such a deal with this hotel if and when we visit NYC again, but this really did outperform our expectations by miles. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel.

I stay here almost every time I am in NYC on business. The location is perfect - walkable to Times Square, Bryant Park, Rockefeller and even Central Park if you're up for a little walk.

The location is fantastic—super central and only about a 10-minute walk from Grand Central. We took the train from JFK to Jamaica Station and then hopped on the LIRR straight to Grand Central, which made getting into the city incredibly easy. Manager Kelly was amazing—so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms were spotless, the bed was super comfy, and the bedding was genuinely great. You can definitely tell they renovated this year; everything felt fresh and modern. It was also super quiet, which is rare for this area. For the weekend after Thanksgiving, the price was beyond reasonable—such a great value for a busy holiday weekend in NYC. They also provided shower amenities and lotion, which was a nice touch and made the stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend for a stress-free, convenient stay in NYC!

I was traveling for work and did quite a bit in the room in between meetings in the city. The wi-fi worked well and I had a good strong connection. The bed and bedding were also very nice. It's an older building but has been renovated and maintained with a lot of care and attention. I will for sure stay there again on my next trip to NYC.
- Paradise563532 (6/5): nice room with a huge issue - The room was nice, well furnished and stylish. It was also clean. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was functional. BUT you would enter into the room through a tiny antechamber through which other 4-5 rooms would also use - the doors of the room were metal, not wooden, without any soundproofing! So while in the antechamber, you would hear everyone around you, as they could you. That means if somebody is talking loudly while exiting their rooms, you hear them like they're standing next to your bed. If you and your travelling partner are having fun in your room, and somebody is standing in front of theirs, they can hear you completely. Also, light was entering the room from the hallway because there was no rubber gasket on the door so it was never fully dark. If you're there to see Manhattan and you get up early and come back just to sleep - it's good. If you need any comfort, or you wish to sleep in, good luck!

It’s refreshing to trust a company with your experience especially when it’s costly in a big city. Club quarters is a safe and welcoming environment & I will continue to stay here and provide my business. I stayed at Club Quarters world trade centre in Oct of 2024 which is how I was lead to the Midtown location. Amazing staff, amazing hotel, and overall elite for a city stay. I will say this location was more dated but that was obviously because the building was older. Did not hinder my experience! The room was small, but I did not come to NYC to stay in my room so I didn’t really care. This location is PRIME TIME!!!! 5 mins away from Times Square, lots of subway stops & seconds from some of the worlds best food. My advice, spend the money and stay here you can’t beat the location. The bonus to this chain is the customer closets on each floor with shower caps and whatnot. So helpful when you need to travel light with the ever changing airline policies.

- Traveler01294807021 (2/5): Persistent room noise - I am writing regarding my recent stay at Club Quarters Times Square from 9–13 October 2025 in Room 602. While I was pleased that the hotel was clean, tidy, and recently refurbished, my stay was severely affected by a constant and loud noise coming from the air conditioning unit attached to the window. Even when the unit was switched off, it produced a persistent mechanical noise, and because the unit was attached via a vent, outside noise entered the room loudly. The noise was constant, every minute of the day and night, making it extremely difficult to rest. Both my husband and I were constantly disturbed, it took a long time to fall asleep, and when we finally did, we were awoken multiple times, resulting in headaches and migraines that impacted our enjoyment of the city. I reported the issue to hotel reception and requested a room change. I was informed that no other rooms were available and that there were no known issues, and no staff came to assess or resolve the problem. I even attempted to use earplugs, but the noise remained clearly audible. I have spent a significant amount of money on this special trip to NYC, and the stay did not reflect the value or standard advertised. The room did not meet standards of comfort and suitability for rest. The persistent noise made the accommodation unsuitable for rest and enjoyment, meaning the service was not provided as reasonably expected. It is a shame, as the hotel itself was well presented and in a good location, but the level of noise significantly impacted the comfort, rest, and overall enjoyment of our stay.

Great rate, the rooms were so clean and beautiful and the front desk staff (Joanne and Xavier) were the best - incredible customer service!! Could not recommend this place enough!! There was also 24-hour coffee and tea available in the lobby. The only thing I will note is the rooms are very cozy/small. I personally loved this but I can imagine other people might want to know.

- DolceVita_9 (10/5): Location in midtown walking distance to Fifth Ave and Broadway - The newly renovated Club Quarters near Times Square is in a great location, walking distance to Broadway and Fifth Ave with lots of very good restaurants nearby. Although the hotel did not have a restaurant there was a large dining area off the lobby where you could bring food from outside (ie delivered food). The hotel is not large but did have a fitness center. The guest room was a decent size for Midtown Manhattan, comfortable bed and pillows and we did not hear much noise from outside.
