Lo staff è stato cordiale e molto disponibile, dal ristorante alla colazione, a un servizio con automobilina dell'hotel di cui ho usufruito in un'occasione in cui ero in ritardo a un appuntamento. La camera era super comoda e funzionale, finalmente un hotel dove dalle luci al bagno è tutto intuitivo e ogni accessorio è a portata di mano. Pulizia ineccepibile. Bella vista panoramica dalle camere che offrono questa possibilità. La colazione si può fare all'aperto in bel giardino interno e c'è una ottima varietà. Consigliatissimo

We were lucky enough to stay in the Canova Suite with Terrace, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The hotel’s location is perfect — right above the Spanish Steps, with easy access to all the best parts of Rome. The staff were exceptional; every single person we met was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. The Canova Suite with Terrace was absolutely stunning. The suite itself is beautifully designed, spacious, and elegant, but the highlight was undoubtedly the private terrace. The views of Rome from there were simply astonishing — we could have spent hours just soaking in the breathtaking panorama over the rooftops of the Eternal City. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hotel de la Ville has set the bar very high, and we will definitely choose this hotel every time on our next trips to Rome. Matteo, Jairo and Jose were super kind to us! Simone also recommended a kombucha for my friend who doesn’t drink alcohol, which was thoughtful. The Spa has now a criosauna which is a very interesting longevity tool worth to do every day of tour stay! Giulia was very patient and professional in explaining us all the benefits and assisting us with the procedure. Café Ginori was intimate, cozy, and food was fantastic! great recommendations by Francesco and Ana Maria. The off menu pasta was to die for! Alessandro recommended us an exquisite wine to accompany the meal. Everyone encountered was simply genuine and happy to see us, which put us at ease and made us feel like we were long time friends.

Our stay was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, and a special mention goes to Signore Benedetto Colizzi, whose outstanding hospitality made our visit truly memorable. He offered excellent recommendations and arranged reservations at some of Rome’s best restaurants, as well as guided us to its most beautiful piazzas. Our Superior Room was spacious, immaculate, and elegantly furnished — a wonderful place to relax after exploring the Eternal City. We would gladly stay at Hotel de la Ville again and highly recommend it for its comfort, service, and unbeatable location.

Not only because is the best view you could possibly ask for in Rome (directly facing west and the sunset, every day), but also - and especially - for its people. Everyone is genuine, very friendly, and they do transmit the passion they have for this job. There is an overall energetic vibe in the hotel which is hard to describe. Their sister property Hotel de Russie is legendary and one of the most iconic hotels in Italy. However, I can honestly say that Hotel de la Ville deserves not necessarily more, but rather a different kind of attention. It is truly one special place in Rome. I would have loved to see all the green in the courtyard and around the hotel grow. I guess only time will tell...nature takes some time. It will be a privilege to be able to return here once again to watch how the plants grew, and how the people matured and got stronger and stronger, realizing that all in all, what matter the most is how they understood that no one is able to do it all alone. Top location, fully equipped apt. , gracious personnel - Bellissimo! - Our family, including a 6 month baby, enjoyed five unforgettable days and nights at the Hotel de la Ville apartments in Rome. At the foot of the beautiful Spanish Steps in the heart of a lively city sector, we enjoyed the amenities of the nearby hotel and immersion into the Eternal City for touring, dining, browsing and daily errands. Our two bedroom unit had everything we needed for the extended stay including baby equipment which we were unable to bring with us from home. The staff were phenomenal and made our first trip to Rome memorable.

First night and check in was a bit rough and took a long time, but second night, we were upgraded to a lovely junior suite with a beautiful terrace and sitting area on upper floor. Breakfast was lovely and specially the attendants were amazing. Spa was phenomenal, Helena was so personable and amazing. Alessandra did my nails and was absolutely fantastic. Concierge team were phenomenal and so nice. They tried to assist with everything from hair appointment to restaurant reservation. Marylyn and Annie from management were wonderful and really made our stay one of a kind. The location is fantastic right by the Spanish steps.
- Lamya (8/5): Unexpected Service Lapses at a Rocco Forte Hotel - Staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, and the rooms are beautifully designed. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable—the mattress was fantastic. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, and the staff up there were perfect. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Merle from customer service, John Luca from room service and Andrias from Bell Service. I recently stayed at the property for two nights, expecting the elevated level of service and attention to detail that the brand is known for. Unfortunately, my experience fell short, particularly in terms of housekeeping. Upon arrival at 3 PM, my room was not yet ready and still needed to be cleaned—disappointing and inconvenient after a long journey, especially at a hotel positioned as luxury. The next morning, a housekeeping staff member asked when I’d be leaving so the room could be serviced. I told her I’d be out in about 30 minutes, and I placed the “Clean My Room” sign on the door when I left at 10:30 AM. When I returned at 2:30 PM, the room had still not been cleaned. For a brand that prides itself on refined hospitality and guest comfort, this lack of follow-through was surprising and not in line with what I’ve come to expect from Rocco Forte Hotels. I hope management takes this feedback into account, as such details are key to maintaining the exceptional standard associated with the Rocco Forte name.

The hotel is very well located - at the top of the Spanish Steps in Rome. Easy to walk anywhere, including Trevi fountain. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The breakfast area is super, with a great display of food choices or you can order what you want. Definitely a special place to remember a visit to Rome.

The rooms of the hotel are very colourful and comfortable and all of the staff is very friendly, always willing to help!

We wanted to organize a welcome cocktail party the night before the actual wedding, so we decided to book the Cielo Terrace for the event. Miriana – thank you for everything you did for us. We thoroughly enjoyed working with you, and beyond the professional relationship, we also felt we connected with you on a personal level. Miriana took care of every detail from the moment we booked the venue. From the overall timing of the actual event to the food and drinks, from the decor of the space to our stay at the hotel, not only did she take care of everything but she also made our vision come to life. We were so happy with how the event turned out, and we even received such wonderful feedback from our guests as well. My husband and I are very detail-oriented people, and impressing us is no easy feat. Miriana and her team went above and beyond for us; they even delivered a bottle of Champagne and a handwritten note to the room for when we returned to the hotel after the wedding. If you and your partner are looking for a beautiful venue for your special day or if you're just looking for a romantic getaway, we couldn't recommend the Hotel de la Ville enough.
- WMFive (10/5): Amazing stay but watch the steps - We were in Rome for a wedding so many of us decided to stay there . We are very familiar with their sister Hotel De Russie so didn't expect anything less . It sure lived up to our expectations . I would recommend however to request a courtyard room rather than the street side , it's much quieter because the garbage trucks start their shift at 6 morning and despite the great insulation of the rooms we kept hearing them . Breakfast in the courtyard is really pleasant , the buffet could offer a bit more selection , the menu however has plenty of additional choices . Otherwise we had a fantastic experience i must however warn the location isn't for the faint hearted . We are a fit family so having to climb the Spanish Steps to the return to the hotel wasn't really strenuous for us but some of our friends found it quite challenging .

I first stayed there 40 years ago (!) and it was wonderful to return: beautiful rooms, great location, excellent dining, and, best foi all, attentive and very professional staff! Especially Guiliano, Michela and Andgela were all excellent and may my stay wonderful! Hope to return soon!

The attitude of the staff is one of indifference. When we arrived and asked about an ironing board & steamer the response was that none are available,sorry. This is not a luxury hotel by any measure! I strongly suggest you look elsewhere

The quality of the food was outstanding (breakfast was next level), and the facilities and dining/bar options offered a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The views from the hotel were breathtaking, and the location couldn’t be more ideal, everything was impeccable. The mattress felt like sleeping on clouds, and the luxurious products in the bathrooms added a wonderful touch of pampering. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Rome simply to stay at Hotel de la Ville again. An unforgettable experience all around!
- andrealiholland (10/5): Amazing stay in Rome! - We loved Hotel de la Ville! It is located on a quiet street in the center of the city, directly above the Spanish Steps. The staff is attentive, warm and helpful and provide a true five-star experience. The rooms feel new, spacious and welcoming and are a great place to unwind. The rooftop restaurant and bar have a gorgeous view of the city and, while expensive, the food and drinks are delicious. In addition to staying at the hotel, we hosted a dinner in the hotel's courtyard. Simona, the hotel's Group & Event Planning Manager, was wonderful to work with. She was friendly, kind and accommodated our various needs. She made it a seamless experience and all of our guests were wowed by the space. I have stayed in various hotels in Rome, but this is by far my favorite, due to the location, staff and restaurant.
- LGspartan (10/5): Steps From The Spanish Steps - De La Ville is a Roma classical hotel that offers a full range of guest services located in the heart of Roma. We were upgraded to a balcony suite. The suite living area was compact and dark while both the bathroom and terrace were bright and large. The rain shower was impressive. Breakfast is the star here and the beautiful restaurant is only open for breakfast. The outdoor terrace is pure Roma in scenery. The buffet features special items like smoked swordfish and tuna along with house smoked salmon. The tomato beans were crazy good. You can order hot items from the menu. Coffee is hot and strong. They have two additional restaurants. Cielo features an outdoor bar on the 6th floor and offers light food items as well. Cielo restaurant is on the 7th floor, rooftop, and the menu is questionable. The other restaurant open for dinner, Cafe Ginori, also has a questionable menu. Sorry when in Roma, at least one restaurant should serve classic Roma food. The concierge recommended La Matricina and it was incredible. Guest services include decent gym, nice spa with ice room, hot and cold baths, steam and sauna and included with your room. The property is located steps from the Spanish Steps, great location. Service for the most part is excellent and the doormen are great for taking care of your needs. Overall, very nice hotel with excellent location and guest services. And breakfast to die for.

Each team member went extra mail to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The negroni at Cielo Bar served was the best ever and we highly recommend Mamma Mia signature cocktails. The hotel is decorated with an extreme care to details and the restaurant doesn’t disappoint. Luxury and comfort quarantined here at every step. Truly unique place!
- Sightsee38351570173 (10/5): Absolute Perfection & Treated Like 2 Kings On Our Wedding - This is the 3rd time staying in this incredible hotel and the most special stay we will ever have in it. We got married in the hotel and it was utterly perfect in every single way. We stayed here back in 2022 when we got engaged and again in 2024 to plan the wedding and each time it just becomes more special and magical. You will see further on how much I talk about the staff, but it is them that make this much more than a hotel and bring the magic to life. They are truly at the top of their game with customer service and go above and beyond. Our suite which we stayed in for four nights was incredible- a big terrace and spectacular views over Rome. The housekeeping was amazing as always and made sure the room was always perfect. We felt so special from the minute we checked in. Ciranza from the front desk was amazing, she walked us to our suite and chatted with use throughout our stay. When I say nothing was too much trouble I mean it. The staff in every department were incredible. Now for what is the most special day in your life, the wedding. It was absolutely perfect in every single way and beyond what we expected. We felt like two kings and that is no exaggeration. Our amazing wedding planner Chiara who dealt with us over the last 2 years to plan was there on the day and ensured everything went perfectly. She went above and beyond and was so helpful with last minute changes due to some guests not being able to make it due to cancelled flights. Chiara made sure our day was perfect and for that we will be forever grateful to her as she made a dream come true. Thank you Chiara! The food, drinks and service was outstanding the whole day and every guest commented on how they have never had better service and in such beautiful surroundings. Luca and his team were great! However, a special mention to Giuliano from the bar staff. On our first day he served us in the bar and was telling us he would be working Saturday at our big day! Well…. This man is just incredible at what he does. He went above and beyond in making sure my husband and I were not only looked after but utterly spoilt all day. Thank you again Giuliano! We will definitely be back at the hotel to mark our anniversary next year and plan to have many more fantastic stays in this amazing property with even more amazing staff. Thank you to everyone that played a part in our big day!

- Natacha (3/5): Disappointing. - The location is perfect. The building is beautiful in that it is old but well maintained. It is hold with a terrace that looks over the entire city. The rooms are well insulated and seem sound proof. Basic things didn't work which was surprising for an expensive five star hotel. There was no real customer service before we arrived. The AC in the room couldn't be switched off so we were freezing. The toilet couldn't flush and staff responsiveness was rather slow. There were other little things but those were the three big ones.

Breakfast was wonderful, with nice staff that were very helpful. The rooftop bar & main restaurant we visited were beautiful. As with other Rocco Forte hotels it was luxury without being stuffy! A pillow menu would be nice, to help different sleep preferences.
