It’s the perfect location and has a really lovely, chilled vibe. The atmosphere was perfect for Venice / grand without being pretentious. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and always went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Everything is in easy walking distance and although we didn’t eat in the restaurant, we certainly found our favourite Christmas cocktail there! Thank you for a wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel.

I used Tripadvisor and reviewed several comments and pictures and decided on Colombina. Well, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was exactly what I was looking for. Just a few seconds from Saint Marks Square. I booked the deluxe Canal view and was not disappointed. I could see the tower of Saint Mark Square and the Cathedral domes. The view down on the canal was amazing as you could look directly up upon the bridge of Sighs. The staff were helpful and the bartender was excellent. Some of his original drink creations were amazing. The breakfast room was gorgeous and all the appointments and details were beautiful. The room was superbly decorated and in tiptop condition. I enjoyed the generous size of the space, including a generous size shower and large sink counter.

The terrace room offered amazing views of the city, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or wine. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel arranged a water taxi from the airport (€180 4 ppl/4 bags) to the hotel and from the hotel to the train station for us. They offered boat service directly to Murano and a private tour of the factory. We opted to take the vapporetto back to Venice to allow for more time to explore Murano. Most importantly, I left my bag with my passport in the hotel lobby and didn’t realize it was missing until I arrived at the train station. I called Manuel in a full panic and he arranged a water taxi to deliver the bag directly to the train station for me. He provided the taxi number and estimated time of arrival. My bag arrived 20 minutes later and Manuel called me to verify it was delivered safely. Truly exceptional service!!! I can’t thank him enough for saving the day!!

We had a Junior Suite with comfortable bed, sitting area, and lovely bathroom. We had a balcony that you could actually sit out on with a beautiful view of bridges and gondolas passing by. You can see the Bridge of Sighs. Could be a little noisy early morning with deliveries etc. Nice breakfast, nothing out of the ordinary. Lovely staff. Appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine brought and served in our room on arrival. Also had resident entertainment/singer (lovely voice 😊❤️ ). The hotel organises a boat ride for 1hr from the hotel which is lovely. Really enjoyed our stay at this cute hotel.

- SoccerKids (10/5): Favorite Venice experience - Hotel Colombina is the final stop of our recent UK-Italy summer trip. It’s the BEST among all hotels at which we stayed. Perfect location - just a few minutes away from San Marco. Our junior suite with a balcony overlooking the Bridge of Signs was worth every penny. In addition to the absolutely fabulous view, we were impressed with each and very detail in the room - from the magnificent chandelier (Murano glass) to the amenities provided. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bottle of prosecco - sipping a glass of prosecco in the balcony would make everyone happy, no? The room was extremely clean and well kept. Breakfast was lovely, and the free water taxi ride to Murano was great too. The guided tour - with a demonstration of glass making - of the glass factory was a fun experience, especially when there was no pressure to buy the expensive, stunningly beautiful glass pieces; purchases of small pieces such as a champagne flute were equally welcome. The hotel staff - from checkin to breakfast - was incredibly friendly and professional. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Hotel Colombina. We will be back!

The concern is that we were there in July 2025 and the air conditioner did not work for three days, and it was sweltering. We communicated to the front desk. Additionally the bathroom smelled like sewage. On the plus side, the location was perfect and customer service was wonderful. Also, breakfast was nice.

We loved the location. But as for hotel room, it had a mild sewer stench especially in the bathroom, and the air conditioning was not enough for the summer heat. The housekeeping staff were not friendly, they would pass us by as if not seeing us, but the porters and kitchen staff were very friendly. Reception staff okay. I guess the high price of the room is because of the location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoy Venice! - Very cute and quiet hotel conveniently located close to St Marks Square. Staff was friendly at check in. We had breakfast included with our stay. Very centrally located w/ gelato options & restaurants throughout the area. A few things to keep in mind. We asked the front desk about airport return transport & the only option we were given was to have the hotel arrange private water taxi (motorboat) for $200 payable by cash only. Only after asked if there were other options did he offer the option to take a water bus, accessible by a 10 min walk from hotel. It stops at a handful of docks before VCE arrival at a cost of 18 euro, $24 roughly. When I asked for a reminder of how to get to the dock after checking out, (as I chose the water bus) the staff person seemed a little perturbed that I asked for directions to the dock. It seemed strange that at a cost of $200, the hotel only accepted cash for the service offered. On the same day when I visited the brkfst buffet the staff person noticed that I was leaving and offered to put together a to go brkfst for me. Very nice of her although only after she asked that I have the front desk person call her to tell her it was okay. The front desk person seemed a little confused by his colleagues request as well. If you have kids traveling with you the to go brkfst is a good choice as it comes with crackers, packaged sugar treats and mini juice boxes. For adults, try and make time for the hot breakfast. Enjoy!

- RDOJR1967 (10/5): Excellence in the heart of it all! - Stayed here in early July. Knew nothing coming in, booked by our travel agent. It was a great hotel, with superb service and a great breakfast offering. They have a bar and offer dinner as well, but we didn’t dine here other guests said it was great. The rooms were nicely appointed, very clean, comfortable and roomy. (Not something you always get in Europe.) two of our group had the panoramic penthouse with a deck. Absolutely spectacular views of the city and the basilica. View of the bridge of sighs. Boat service if planned by hotel right to the front door. They also have a boat ride of the city you can plan in the evening (45/55 euro pp) a great way to see a lot. No guide, just a boat ride. They also have a deal with a place in Murano where a boat will pick you up and take you over there. You have to do their tour, (about 30 mins) but enjoyable. If you buy, they get you a boat back, if not easy enough to get a public transport. They will coordinate boat service back to airport too. (200 euro for 5 of us with 5 bags, each additional bag 5 euro). Had wine in the lobby met many travelers, a wonderful time indeed! The hotel is quiet, but in the heart of everything! Piazza St Mark, a 10 minute walk max, Rialto Bridge 15 mins tops. A true hidden gem with every team member tripping over themselves to ensure our stay was perfect!

The room was always incredibly clean & we were 5-10min away from all the main attractions so it was very convenient to come by drop things off or take an hour rest & go back out.

A warning if visiting before May 1 - air conditioning not available by law. Opening windows not a great idea due to mosquitoes. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Hotel has pier dock for water taxi if you want to arrive in style, otherwise have to cross a bridge which would be painstakingly tiring if have too many luggages. Beautiful room facing canal, but no AC( we were there end April but still quite hot during the day). Very cool at night if you leave the window opened but then welcoming mosquitoes. Good services.
- Carl (6/5): Clean but not again. - Everyone who works here is very nice. I wasn’t wild about our room though. It smelled awful. It was in a separate tower from the main hotel and I’m not sure what’s happening with it but I suggest they clean up the piles of trash laying around the outside or put up barriers so guests don’t see it. The room smell was awful. We opened the instant coffee grounds to try and absorb the smell but it only semi helped for one day. I could have opened the shutters but there was a nasty tarp and trash right outside my window. It really needs to be addressed. I personally wouldn’t stay there again. The room itself was clean, the shower stall was so small though that a man over 250lbs would have a hard time fitting. Or woman I suppose. I’m small and I felt cramped. The staff is very helpful though! They helped get our private water taxi to the airport for a very early morning departure. My unhappiness is strictly with what I’ve stated here.

The room itself was on the smaller side, but comfortable. The bathroom was nice. But what made it special was the terrace with its amazing views. Made it so worth it. Had breakfast on our terrace each morning. Didn't deal too much with staff but they were courteous when we did. Very easy to get a water taxi from the airport with drop off at the hotel's dock. The hotel is also in a great location near the Piazza San Marco.

We enjoyed sitting on the canal many times during the day whether it was for a cappuccino or glass of vino. The hotel arranged both our pick up from the airport and return trip to the train station. The location is amazing with some great restaurants in the area. We would absolutely return here.
