We were welcomed in as if being welcomed home from the first time we entered to the last. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and incredibly charming. Every detail is attended to. This was our first trip to London. Due to our lack of familiarity with the city, we had selected this hotel simply because of its affiliation with Warwick and our positive experiences at Warwick in New York City. We absolutely lucked out on this choice! We could not have been happier with the experience at The Capital Hotel! The location is outstanding. We were within walking distance of Harrods, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace... (a little bit of a hike, but a great walk), nice restaurants and pubs, boutiques,... Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and a relaxing home base during our stay. We plan on returning and staying at The Capital again. As stated, it is beautiful, charming, and convenient. But one of the greatest assets is the people. I wish I could name each employee we encountered because every single one contributed to our stay being positively memorable. Some names I did get were Ariola and Paulo. But, truly, I'd love to give a shout out to every single individual working at The Capital October 3-10, 2025. The place has a classic vibe, it’s clean, quiet, and perfect for a solo traveler like me. service was great, the atmosphere felt cozy and homey, and the staff were incredibly kind. The location is also a big plus, close to Hardee’s, shops, a supermarket, and a pharmacy, which made everything super convenient. My room on the fourth floor was wonderful, and I could see a beautifully renovated room nearby. Next time, I’m hoping to stay in the fifth or sixth floor. A special shoutout to Estella at the reception, she was amazing. Her presence made me feel genuinely welcomed.

Easy walk to royal Albert hall and natural history museum both of which we were visiting. Enjoyed lunch from Harrods rotisserie in Hyde park. . We had an upgrade to an executive room which was lovely with some interesting art and very quiet. Breakfast was very good - great coffee and had scrambled eggs- both often hard to find in a hotel. Staff were super helpful especially as arrived too early for check in but needed an iron- they sorted it for me. Bar staff very friendly and enjoyed nightcap and some bar nibbles

Miguel and the team are always incredibly kind and welcoming. I stayed in a renovated room, really nice overall, just a couple of small things: in the bathroom a soft night light would have been great, since you don’t want to switch on all the lights in the middle of the night. And the shower pressure on the 6th floor could be better. Aside from that, food and drinks were amazing as always!

- 52laitha (10/5): Amazing all around - Ive been traveling for the past 3 weeks on my honeymoon with my wife. 5 hotels later i can honestly say this is one of the best ive stayed in, on arrival we were welcomed with such warm staff and an upgrade even though we did not ask for one, the room was mind blowing, the location is one of the safest and cleanest areas in london. And the staff is absolutely amazing and made us feel at home. Stella specially who was amazing in everything she has done. She even gave us a complementary bottle of champagne to celebrate with. When im coming back to London, this is the only place i am staying in. I even became a Warwick chain member so i can use the rewards which are very easy to get.

I always feel so welcomed and it's such a pleasure seeing the faces you are familiar with for some time now. The first time was I think 3 years ago and ever since I keep coming back. They know you and more importantly make you feel special. I did not get my upgraded room as I hoped as the hotel was very busy. Stella at the Front Desk did try but I didn't want to have to move rooms the next day. I was able to avail of my drink after a lovely show at the Westend and Andre made sure I got what I wished. He does make the best Cosmopolitan in London! The guys at the Front Desk that late evening were familiar faces again and were as welcoming. Sorry I forget their names. At checkout Dino was very helpful and so were Matthew & Jose who tried very hard to find me a cab the evening prior. Thank you once again for a lovely stay and see you next time.

I have never previously bothered to write a review of it, but, having recommended it to a number of Canadian friends who have enjoyed it and thanked me for the recommendation, I thought I should share this with the rest of your community. The location is absolutely unbeatable in London, the rooms are a good size by West End standards, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall atmosphere that of, as stated above, a home from home. You will not be disappointed and will want to come back.

The location almost next door to Harrods was fantastic. We felt very welcome and staff were extremely helpful. Our rooms were first class the decor was beautiful, colour scheme very restful. Breakfast menu was very comprehensive and delicious, Breakfast room is beautiful. Hotel also has a very nice bar.

- CLF422 (8/5): Excellent service in a smaller hotel in Knightsbridge - This is our 3rd or 4th visit here over the years, and I really like it. So much is personal preference, this hotel is not small but smallish with about 60 rooms. We got a suite which was not large as suites go, but lovely. Two bathrooms a nice feature of the suite. Our suite was quite recently refurbished and was attractive. This is a fairly quiet street - given that you're in a dense part of London - one way street with no big reason for through-traffic to take this Basil St. The service is excellent and is their strong-point. First, reception always had 2 or more people at the desk plus a concierge (plus sometimes a bellman or a manager floating around). This is key as some hotels understaff their desk. The staff is very professional but friendly and requests for an amenity or bucket of ice are responded-to within a few minutes. The location is great - between Harrods 1/2 block one way and the Sloane St shopping 1 block the other way.. and always a black-cab taxi waiting for you in queue right outside Harrods. Two or three really good restaurants within a one block walk. The bar is small-cozy but nice and serves until midnight. The restaurant is fine for breakfast; a bit too fancy for dinner for my palate (small plates/tasting menu) but they boast a new chef with a Michelin star to his name, so that may be a draw for some. This place is a great choice, since service is the name-of-the-game, 4 stars here. Looking forward to our return.

- penniszola (10/5): A small cozy hotel with the best staff! - The capital is a small boutique hotel in a superb location practically next door to Harrods and Sloan St, but in a very quiet street. I had the deluxe king which was immaculate. A very nice smallish bathroom and although the room decor was a bit fussy for me the room grew on me after spending a night. I prefer a more monotone pallet with fewer colors in a bedroom. I stayed in the main hotel and because the building has additions, getting to your room requires going through a few hall doors and up and down a few steps. Not a problem. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and everything is of good quality. A lovely breakfast and the staff is superb! Efficient, kind and friendly. Recommended!!

The restaurant was lovely and the food was delicious. We cannot say enough about the superb staff. Dino Ariola could not have been more helpful with our luggage and making sure that we had everything that we need. He was always there to attend to our needs. Paolo, the concierge, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He arranged for all of our transportation, advised us on wonderful restaurants and helped us plan our activities in London. He was a pleasure to deal with. Overall, the Capital hotel is a true gem and we cannot recommend it highly enough for a stay in London. It is also in a wonderful location, with great shopping in the area and close to all of the major attractions.

All bath amenities top rate. The service was impeccable: the concierge took extra steps to assist us, even walking us down the street to find our stop. He gave great recommendations for dinner. The front desk staff was welcoming, efficient, and so kind. When they learned it was my husbands birthday, they sent an amazing small cake to the room. It was perfect after a whole day of touring. And the location of this hotel is one of the best. It was all just perfect!

The night manager, Miguel, was outstanding. He looked after us on late evenings with superb service at the lobby bar and happy to stay and look after us for as long as we wished. The room was beautiful with super comfortable bedding.

Stella and Claudia were especially helpful when I lost my airpods in the hotel :) they were very quick and communicative and eased my stress.

Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. Thanks to the dutty manager Stella for a fantastic experience!
