- Suzzette (10/5): - To be honest, I was very pleasantly surprised. Mr Henry was very attentive from the moment I booked. He confirmed my reservation and kept in contact to ensure everything was smooth sailing. He offers one way transportation for free which was nice, although being so close to the airport a Grab wouldn’t have been much anyway. He had his driver pick us up within minutes of informing him we were ready. I read several reviews that mentioned the hotel was difficult to find, so being picked up worked great because we didn’t have to worry about that. Mr Henry and his driver were very attentive and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The room we stayed in was very nice. It looked like it’s been recently renovated, it was clean, the ac worked great, the bathroom was very nice. Only thing I would suggest is add a couple more towels and a bath rug, because there’s a little splashing from the shower. The room was cozy but overall it was perfect. We only stayed one night to catch an intl flight the following morning. Would absolutely stay there again.

We had arranged a taxi to collect us to take us to our next destination and it was while waiting I suddenly realised that it was in fact not where we were supposed to be! Spoke to the guy at the hotel who explained that we couldn’t stay at the hotel we had booked so were taken there, he was very helpful though in that he contacted our driver to get him to collect us, albeit an exchange on the freeway!

He set everything up for my 5 am car pick up to the airport. The room was spacious and clean. There was a lot of noise coming from outside so if you are light sleeper like me, you may have some issues with sleeping - music, cars, chickens, etc. It's a good place to stay if you need to be close to the airport but wouldn't recommend it as your main stay during your trip - not a lot going on in the surrounding area.

Whoever I dealt with last night couldn’t speak any English besides telling saying “no booking, no booking” while waving his finger in my face. I believe your hotel is a scam. Instead of trying to help me, you had a group of your friends in the lobby, laughing at me because I was struggling to communicate even through translator. I would not recommend your hotel to anybody. I filed a claim against you to Expedia and to my credit card company. THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM!! I was rufused check in even after showing him my booking confirmation and using a translator app. DO NOT STAY HERE! You might show up and they wouldn’t check you in or help you.. they’ll just scream at you “no booking no booking!!”

- Molly1107 (10/5): Perfect - We had a late flight arrival and an early pick-up to take us to Halong Bay in the morning so it was a short but sweet visit. Mr Henry collected us from the airport. Check in was quick. We were met by Mrs Henry and their 2 delightful children - a really lovely family. The room was basic but everything we needed, Clean and comfy bed, hot water, clean towels. As we had such an early pick up, we didn't have breakfast but Mrs Henry made us some coffee. A lovely stay.

Mr. Henry had offered to pick us up at the airport, but then wanted us to call him when we arrived. But we didn't have a local SIM card, there weren't any local businesses to help us call (from domestic arrivals), and my computer could not connect to the airport free Wi-Fi. However, Mr Henry was otherwise friendly. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

- Joy (4/5): Which Hotel??? - I would second the assessment of other reviewers that (Mr.) Henry is a great asset to the company. The hotel was quiet, had a lift, plenty of hot running water and free transfer to airport. However, it wasn't the hotel I booked. I had tried to look on my phone at the map directions to the hotel but got a message saying that the location could not be found. When I arrived at Hanoi airport, I tried again. Same result. The driver had the same issue. He drove around for some time, but there are many small airport hotels on side roads and our search was unsuccessful. He rang the number,and eventually got directions which took us to Viet Village Hotel where a pleasant young man who identified himself as Henry came out to meet me and confirmed the reservation. During booking, I had read that 'Airport Hotel Hanoi Convenient and Friendly' did go under other names and thought there must have been a name change since they advertised the property, not that it was a totally different place. There were not many places around Viet Village to get food and after I'd taken a shower and returned to reception, there seemed to be no one around. The next morning in the taxi on the way to the airport I saw, on the right, 'Airport Hotel Hanoi, Convenient and Friendly'. I can only assume they advertise one hotel and then allocate bookings among a number that Henry speeds between. Though I did get somewhere to sleep, it was confusing and a little disconcerting.
- Sherryl (6/5): - I made a reservation for twin beds and to have a taxi pick us up. Emails went back and forth for this. A Mr Henry signed the emails. When we arrived there was no taxi,but eventually we got there. The non-English speaking night clerk showed us to a room with one double bed. I tried to indicate we needed 2 beds. He took us to another room with a queen sized bed. We were very tired so agreed it was ok. The room was clean, quiet, pretty small, but all that we needed. Next morning we went down to the lobby for breakfast before taking a taxi to the airport. No food was there, but the young clerk gave us a snack and went off to order us eggs and toast. He also called for help from the English speaking owner? After a bit of back and forth he informed us that Hanoi Airport Hotel Convenient and Friendly had been out of business for 2 years and the new name was Hanoi Airport Hostel. However the sign outside still says Hanoi Airport Hotel Convenient and Friendly. I also got an email when I returned home from Mr Henry asking for a review. It's all very confusing. I believe I paid the right amount for what we got but will be looking on my credit card to see that I was only billed once (to be on the safe side). You should check into this to see what is going on so others don't get confused.

- kathryn588 (10/5): A Welcoming and Helpful Place to Start Your Vietnam Journey - I booked this hotel because they were located close to the airport and my flight landed late. I was surprised to find that the hotel owner (Tobin) was super attentive and helped set up tours and arrange for transportation into the city. He didn't just treat me like a guest, but also a family member, inviting me to join them for a home-cooked lunch. It was a much appreciated welcome after 26+ hours of travel. Throughout the rest of my stay in Vietnam, he's been very responsive to questions I've had, and it's clear he goes out of his way to take care of the hotel's patrons.

- Sharon (8/5): Good place for overnight to catch an early flight - As the name says, this place is convenient and friendly, if a bit worn on the edges. Not easy to find as it's located on an alley parallel to the main street and there's no sign to help find it (even the front door has a different name on it). Best to arrange an airport pickup with the hotel for a modest charge (if you're coming from the airport, which we weren't). Our driver couldn't find it but when he called for directions, someone came out and met us on the main street and showed us the way. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even carrying our luggage up the stairs, and spoke English. The restaurant was out of many things on the menu but the meal we had was very good and we were happy not to have to go out and find a place to eat as it was late and we were tired and had an early flight. Our rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, not cramped like some similar places I've stayed, and the shower was hot. Other than airplanes taking off and landing, which is to be expected right by the airport, it was quiet and we were able to get a good night's sleep. They offered a free (pre-dawn) airport transfer, which we greatly appreciated. Overall we found this to be a convenient and friendly place to stay for a night near the airport and would recommend it as a good budget option.

We were first offered a room with windows that did not close, and air conditioning not working, but were moved to a better room after our request. Contrairely to the advertising, there was no TV, no rain shower, no safe in the room. Very basic amenities, but rooms were clean and service was good. As its name says, it is friendly and convenient.

A path leads from the airport to the sidewalk. There is a sign on the main road that leads to an alley behind. Very comfortable bed and pillow! Great customer service. I left too early to eat breakfast; however, it looked like a decent spread with fresh food. Can’t beat the price!
- Peter (10/5): Perfect overnight stay - Are so glad we booked this place. After leaving Hà Long Bay we got dropped back into the old town around 5pm. It then took 1hr 20m to get to this hotel which is next to the airport. If we had stayed in the old town catching our flight the next day would have been close. Got to hotel around 6.30pm. Seems to be a family run kind of place. As soon as we dropped the bags in the room we came down and they happily made us beef and noodles along with spring rolls. Reasonable prices too. The room itself needed a little TLC. But the main thing was the air con worked well and with my earplugs in I slept like a baby. Next morning breakfast was cooked fresh and then offered a free ride to the airport. What's not to like.
- SanderPloeg (4/5): Dissapointment - We have been reading all good reviews before going to this hotel, but unfortunately it wasn’t as good as expected. Room itself is clean and the bed is good, not too hard. Bathroom is very old and shower is above the toilet which causes the toilet is always soaking wet. Also, windows do not close properly and airplanes are landing and taking off all night, thus very noisy. Breakfast was poor, there wasn’t any fruit available, only some old bread and marmelade. Lastly, the airport transport was supposed to be free of charge (as mentioned by the manager himself when in the hotel), but once in the taxi, the driver asked for money.

I was arriving in Hanoi late one night and departing early the next morning and needed a good place to crash for the night; this hotel was perfect. It’s so close to the airport, the rooms are spacious and clean (and inexpensive!), the beds very comfortable, the WiFi is excellent, there’s a nice buffet breakfast, and they even drove me to the airport! It’s so close to the airport, the rooms are spacious and clean (and inexpensive!), the beds very comfortable, the WiFi is excellent, there’s a nice buffet breakfast, and they even drove me to the airport! I absolutely recommend Airport Hotel Hanoi Convenient & Friendly!
- Duncan (2/5): - We booked the Hotel on Expedias reviews so that we could spend a few hours sleeping before our flight at 11pm. This hotel was noisy, noisy noisy!!! the acoustics were unbelievably bad, they have noise doors in the hallways but they made no difference. We were going to leave for the airport at 9pm, we left at 6.30pm. thank goodness we didn't stay the night. Duncan, Toronto
- Anthony (10/5): Very satisfied staying. - Hotel is near airport so it is very convenient for me when arriving or departure from Hanoi. Over all, I am satisfied to stay and recommend to everyone. This hotel is only 5 minuites near the domestic airport. Hotel has car to pick you. Don’t let the airport taxi rib you off and over charge the tourists. Dishonest taxi will not go by the meter when taking you from airport to this hotel. I learned the mistake and over paying taxi for a very short trip.

- roxykay67 (10/5): Convenient, friendly and very comfortable! - Mr Henry and his staff were all very friendly, welcoming and lovely. Check in check out we're fast and efficient. We have spent 19 days in Vietnam travelling from Saigon to Sapa and back to Hanoi and this is the best service we have received anywhere. The room was exactly as pictured, the bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and generous and Mr Henry's driver provided us with a complimentary transfer to the airport. We highly recommend Hanoi Airport Hotel!

The bed vas very comfi and the hosts were super friendly. Room was perfectly clean and had anything you needed. Food was also good! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to sleep close to airport.

Great free shuttle to the airport in the morning! We had a lovely lunch and dinner cooked for us, and a fantastic nights sleep ready for a full day of travelling the next morning :)
- yevg3niya (10/5): Very nice family-owned hotel - I’m not usually impressed with airport hotels, but I’m very glad I stayed at Mr Henry’s establishment. My flight was delayed by two hours and he was easily reachable at all times with quick responses. His driver was friendly and picked me up at 11pm from the airport for free, the hotel is sparkling clean with a comfortable mattress on which I slept very well all night, and the breakfast was free as well and quite fresh and delicious. Mr Henry owns and operates this hotel with his wife, and their two small children are often seen playing in the lobby/dining room. He also offered for his driver to take me into the city to drop me off at my destination at a very fair rate. If I’m ever in Hanoi again and in need of a hotel right next to the airport, I’m staying at Mr Henry’s.
- colinbS8965VT (10/5): Perfect for long layover - Stayed just 1 night for a layover and it was perfect. Very clean, accomodating and great facilities. Henry was incredibly helpful. Only difficulty is that it is too close to the airport for any cabbies to take you. The walk is a little sketchy but totally doable. Organise a car before hand.
- changingmyworld (10/5): Best and Friendliest Service Ever Received, From Any Star Rating! - Mr. Henry is the new owner of the Airport Hotel in Hanoi, and with the five star service I received from him and his staff, I believe his hotel will be highly successful! I recommend it most highly. My flight was due to arrive at 12:30 a.m and I had arranged for a pick up. After being delayed and arriving over an hour late, Mr. Henry himself was there to collect me, with a friendly smile and excellent English. I was in Hanoi to arrange a visa for my next destination, but there were problems with my documents and my ten-day stay turned into nearly a month stay. I had arranged to leave my big bag at the hotel for the 10 days I would be in Hanoi, and had been concerned that with the extra time, it might be a problem to continue to leave it there. But no, it was no problem at all, and Mr. Henry assured me that they would continue to keep it safe for me. This was a huge relief, as I really didn't want to return from my travels to make other arrangements for it. Mr. Henry's driver drove me to the Old Quarter where I stayed after my arrival and my one night at the Airport Hotel, and he was extremely helpful and friendly, and we had a really good conversation along the way. Every experience I had at the Airport Hotel was just perfect and I wish Mr. Henry the best of luck with his new venture. Thank you, Mr. Henry! I will definitely be back!
- shellyhos (10/5): A hidden gem - We only stopped in for one night transitioning from Sa Pa to Saigon, and it was such a lovely stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing!! We couldn't believe what a spread we got for the price, and Henry's wife even cooked us eggs the way we liked them in addition to the buffet. Also, Henry had someone drive us to the airport for free in a clean, nice vehicle. I highly recommend this hotel if you're anywhere near the airport in Hanoi. I think they can also book stopover tours for you.

Clean room, comfortable bed The staff were great throughout the whole stay with suggestions and advice, Special Mr Henry, he did organize very nice Halong bay and Sapa trip for us. We weren't leaving until late on our checkout day and we were able to leave our bags throughout the day and they even let us have a shower when we returned to pick them up! High recommend for every one!

Room is nice and spacious, wifi is super in the whole hotel. The best thing here is a warming atmosphere. They, the staff and Mr. Henry (the owner), always smile and willing to help with any travel information or the good places to visit in Hanoi and Vietnam.
