Long (5/5): Friendly staff but the building needs repairs and cleaning. - The staff when you saw them were friendly. They are close to the station and shops There was a lot of water damage throughout the hotel. The room was a decent size but things weren't clean. The curtains had what looked like red blood like splatter on them. The shower curtain was also covered with chunks of things. The vents were covered in dust and in the hallway was chunks of foam and metal railing for carpenters. This was here for the whole five days. The beds were large but you could feel the springs. The TV remote was also cracked and was really non responsive most of the time. The noise came through the windows easily. For nearly $170 per night I believe there are better cleaner options. The fact that I had a runny nose and sore throat from the time I arrived to the time I left speaks to the need to clean the space. It might have been a lovely place once upon a time but the damage has let the whole place slide.

The food from the resturant downstairs was fresh and delicous, and the staff were very helpful. The shower was hot, the bathroom was clean. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was noisey and there was no milk in the fridge for the coffee and tea facilities supplied. The hallways could use a bit of a refreshing. The equipment in the gym looked a bit old/worn. I was hestitant to use the treadmill.
Anastasia (5/5): - The Mantra is a really variable hotel. Some Mantra's are fantastic and some are ok, but they all at a minimum provide clean accomodation at a reasonable price. This was probably one of the Mantra's that are just ok. It was in a great location, close to the train and to a large Westfield Shopping Centre. There was parking available on site (although it was at an additional cost). Dated accomodation, the buffet breakfast was TERRIBLE for the price, it was cold and I mean ICE cold and very basic. The television was a pain to use and really hit and miss as to being able to stream. The fridge was small for a 1 bedroom with a pull out sofa.

No one in Parramatta seemed to know where the Mantra was located. Shower over bath with a plastic curtain. I thought it was the sixties. The bed so low to the floor with a thin mattress didn’t help either.

I stayed 4 nights at $575 they also take $200 direct from my balance so when I paid on arrival they too a total of $775 I’m now home it’s been 5 days since they took the extra $200 and I still have not had it returned to my account also paid all that money no clean towels in four days no bins emptied no coffee or tea topped up you get nothing it was really bad the rooms are tired broken lamps broken air conditioning button the only nice thing was the staff I feel very sorry for them

Ashlea (9/5): Will be back again! - It’s always such an amazing experience staying here. My favourite place to stay in Sydney! Convenient location and amazing staff! I usually have nothing to say! Except the cleaning staff were extremely loud in the morning 2 hours prior to checkout, so I did get woken up by loud yelling and laughing, banging and clanging. Other than that, perfect!

Adrian (3/5): Terrible. - Not much at all. I don’t do bad reviews so the fact I’m doing this says a lot. I phoned during the week to confirm we needed a cot and was told they would “do their best to provide a cot” - I said no, I have a 1 year old. I need a cot or we won’t be coming. On arrival I checked if we had a cot and was told there was not. They scrambled to find one and ended up putting a cot in our room but it had no mattress and was a piece of wood in the bottom instead. I wouldn’t put a dog in that cot, never mind a baby! The property is right next to a train station, even with all windows and doors closed, there is still a lot of noise all night. The air con was also broken and blowing out warm air only. I should have checked the reviews as someone complained about this 3 months and clearly they’ve never fixed it. The sofa was broken in our room as well and sunk down in the middle. I am so disappointed in my stay and will never ever stay at another mantra or mantra related hotel again. Very poor for the money that was spent. It was meant to be a nice night away for my family and none of us slept and had a horrible experience.
Danielle (3/5): Would not recommend. - The staff were friendly. The list of amenities on the booking is incorrect, as there was no oven or cooking utensils to cook with. Parking is an additional cost at the hotel. The place is a lot smaller than the photos show.

Wilsons8788 (9/5): Great location. Comfy rooms. Friendly and helpful staff - Great location. Good sized room. Staff were accommodating and helpful, especially when we had to call the NRMA for two flat tyres (they let us stay and get it all sorted in their car park- safe off the road) Rooms were a little worn but this did not matter for our family. They were spacious and the one room apartments are very handy when you are staying more than 2 nights.

Lishan (6/5): Easter weekend stay - The breakfast and spa pool We werent advised there was room issues with our original suite, we could only be compensated with a breakfast voucher as we werent going to be around the next day to enjoy the correct room.

Mantra need to p - The food at restaurants were good Our card was charged 600 for the tv damages that was already there during our check in. This charges happen without explanation from the hotel. We have email but with no response. We have called the reception and they keep asking us to write an email to the office.

Sophia (1/5): Worst Hotel Experience Ever!!!!! - The only thing we liked about the property was the location of the hotel. Everything else was absolutely a poling!!!!! Everything from check in was a nightmare was going to be overcharged luckily I was on to it!!!! Staff were half asleep and not knowledgeable to the room to the bed being unbearable to sleep we had the springs poking our spine and back all night!!!! The air con sounded like it was going to break down!!!! Needed extra pillows took 1 hour after 2 calls later to bring them to the room was told housekeeping wasn’t available was gone for the day and we needed to wait till reception could come up!!!!! Unexceptionable on all forms and fronts!!!!! The worst breakfast from the moment we entered The manager was too busy laughing with his staff member we were not even acknowledged but told if we wanted coffee there was a charge fair enough but he didn’t want to be the there the food was cold and a huge fly buzzing over the scrambled eggs!!!! No staff to be seen the fruit looked like it had been there for days no taste and old!!!! My best friend ended up vomiting and extremely unwell due to the lack of food hygiene and food being there for a long period of time!!!! This all needs to be addressed Pronto…. Worst hotel experience ever!!!!!! Have never ever experienced anything like this before!!!!!

Bethlehem (10/5): - Staff were amazing, beds were soft. Tea and Coffee were not topped up every day and the pillows were awful and lumpy and old plus we could not find a book with numbers to contact reception.
Les (7/5): - The room was neat clean and comfortable, and the location of the Hotel is perfect, given this was a business trip. The check in process took far too long, two people on the desk yet the queue was out the front entry door when I arrived. However once at the desk everything went smoothly.
Sara (7/5): We booked purely for a decent, affordable option with easy transport to Olympic Park so it ticked all those boxes for us - Location is great, easy to get to and close to the train station. Room was tidy and well kept for the age. We paid extra for a spa suite but the spa jets didn’t work, still used the bath but would have paid for a cheaper room option had we known it didn’t work.
