- Tracyb433 (10/5): Excellent free breakfast - I found this hotel to meet my needs. It is a older hotel that appears to be in the process of being updated. There were several storage containers, but no noise during my one day stay. It was clean, the showers new with glass doors, a lit surround vanity any woman will appreciate, granite counters. I was in a jr suite that had a full fridge, microwave, sink, granite table seating area, a living area with couch and full size tv, bedroom had a full size tv as well. Dishes and silverware, coffeemaker and basic supplies. Crabtree and Evelyn products in bath, including lotion. The hotel is located close to the interstate, but no noise. I suspect due to the area being lined with old oaks that give shade and nice walking area if preferred. Not far from many eating establishments. The breakfast was what hit the home run. Just about anything you can think of, from waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt with multiple types of toppings from fruit to granola, sliced fruit, make your own warm toast, milks in 3 varieties, coffee, muffins. It was delicious. Plenty of seating area with tables. The local police stop in to eat as well. So if you are looking for a good price, quiet, great breakfast and don't mind a little age, this is the place for you. I didn't get a chance to view the pool area. Parking is 10 dollars per night.

The dining area was perfect for this gathering. We thank Homewood that we were able to enjoy our evening out of the weather and in a beautiful, welcoming environment.

As the local little league just up the street, we serve over 150 families in our community – and this hotel just earned a permanent place in our hearts. We were planning our annual volunteer appreciation dinner at our field when last-minute weather forced us to scramble for an alternative venue. We reached out to Homewood Suites on short notice and were connected with Cortnie, who was an absolute gem. She was warm, accommodating, and immediately open to letting our group use the breakfast area for the evening. No hesitation, no hassle – just genuine kindness and a willingness to help make the night special for our coaches and volunteers. When we arrived, front desk receptionist Elizabeth carried that same spirit all the way through. She welcomed our group with the same warmth we had experienced from the start, which made the whole evening feel seamless and genuinely welcoming. As an all-volunteer organization, we rely on the support and goodwill of our community to make moments like this possible. The team at Homewood Suites Maitland didn’t just provide a space – they helped us honor the people who give their time every season to show up for our kids. That means everything to us. We are already looking forward to building a lasting partnership with this hotel, and we will absolutely be directing visiting families, grandparents, and guests to stay here. Arriving at the end of a very long travel day we were lucky to meet Elizabeth at check in who was kind, welcoming, and knowledgable. She was wonderful to our daughters and our family making our evening much smoother and our stay wonderful.
- robertrU6562NS (4/5): Unfortunately not what you expect from Hilton - This was out second stay at this property. The first time we stayed in Jan 2026, we thought maybe they were short staffed, someone called in sick, etc. Our stay now in Mar 2026, confirms the property needs some improvements and TLC if it wants to keep Hilton & new customers returning. During our recent visit we noticed mold in the bathroom/shower area. First noticed it on the wall & ceiling. Then on the bathroom door frame. The bathroom had an exhaust fan that is designed to help reduce the humidity, the fan automatically turned on when you turned on the light to the bathroom. The problem was that no one thought it was necessary to clean the lint/dust that was caked on the fan itself. As a result, mold started to grow and apparently continues to grow until the room attendant remembers to clean the fan & the mold. Reading some of the other reviews online, it appears we are not the only guests concerned with staying at Hilton. Unfortunate for us because, the location is perfect and if properly maintained we would continue to return.

It was spotlessly clean and appeared recently renovated, the staff was friendly and helpful from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. We loved the extra space of a suite, a comfortable bed and a bathroom that was spacious and well equipped. For this area, the price was very reasonable and included a hot breakfast. Downtown Winter Park is nearby, with great restaurants and enjoyable activities.

- brian (6/5): hotel has a 4.2 star rating but is more like 3.2 - breakfast was good. at first when i checked in at around 4 pm, i got a 2nd floor room. i asked for top floor cause i am a light sleeper and was told i needed to wait as they weren't ready. i waited. came back at ~6:30 and was given a 3rd floor room. others were offered free water. i wasn't. other than that, staff was fine. decor is rough. granite is good but cabinets are beat up and other finishing details seemed lacking in construction. beds are hard as rocks. walls are thin. remote only works when close to tv. had to lean close to get it to work.

- marksK2086QW (4/5): It has a Hilton brand name but it is no Hilton -- it is a wanna-be - This place is just a "run-down" imitation. - At first glance, this Homewood Suites checks the boxes: the lobby is tidy, and the room appears clean when you walk in. But once you settle in, the experience quickly unravels. This property practically yells "Franchised." It feels like a hotel being run on a shoestring budget by an independent owner rather than a property held to the actual standards of a Hilton-managed location. The most glaring issue was the bed. While it looks perfectly fine and well-made, it was uncomfortable as hell. It’s clearly a budget mattress that has seen way too many guests, offering zero support and a terrible night's sleep. It is incredibly frustrating that Hilton puts their name on the building but allows the quality to dip this low. I really wish there was a clear way for guests to distinguish between a corporate-owned Hilton and these franchised locations before booking. If you’re looking for the consistent, high-end experience Hilton is known for, you won't find it here. This place is just a "run-down" imitation. The $10 parking fee for this location is ridicules - stay away from room 108 - horrible bed

You had the move the couch to be able to open the fold out bed. Hair in the bathroom, furniture was very worn and stained. The fire alarm went off THREE times over the course of the night and we had to evacuate once. This was never addressed by the staff and no credit or anything was mentioned or offered.

The biggest complaint was the hotel alarm going off 3 times in the middle of the night. The first time lasted about a half hour, fire truck and all, and the others a few minutes. As for the room itself, the sofa bed mattress was thin and lumpy, the bedroom door didn't shut completely, and the tub was broken, (we showered so it wasn't a big deal). Don't bother with breakfast unless you just want to grab some toast or a bagel. Oh, and don't forget--$10 a day to park, even if you're only there for 1 night just to sleep.

- 387dianem (2/5): Horrible service and rooms. - Reserved a 2 bedroom and chose room online. Get to hotel and they give me a different room. Room had massive cigarette smoke smell. No other 2 bedrooms so had to split to 2 rooms. Next room had ants all over bathroom. Changed again. Then they charged me for a second room even though I had pre-paid the higher rate for the two bedroom to begin with. They were supposed to credit me but that never happened.

- Paola (2/5): No me gustó la estadía - Se podría rescatar la limpieza de la habitación Primero, cuando llegamos había una señora de raza negra en la recepción, que se comportó sumamente grosera e indiferente; incluso sentí discriminación y racismo de su parte como nos trató,sentí su molestia por nosotros hablar español.El recibimiento no fue para nada grato y desde ahí todo empezó mal. El elevador no servía y había que usar las escaleras lo cual fue bastante molesto ,Además, pasamos toda nuestra estadía con una grúa de labores de pintura haciendo ruido durante la mañana y la tarde; no se podía dormir ni descansar, era demasiado el ruido. Por último, la ubicación del alojamiento fue sumamente incómoda para llegar a los lugares. Por todo lo anterior, no me volveré a hospedar nunca más

- SofaOnASock1 (6/5): Tired property in need of tlc - Stayed here a couple nights and it was a mediocre experience. Booked direct and chose a room on the Hilton app and was given a different room upon arrival as it wasn't ready yet. The mobile key on my phone didn't work... The property was still under construction during my visit with debris scattered throughout the property. The back door seemed to have been painted by a 5 year old... The interior of the property is getting long in the tooth. The 1 bedroom apartment featured a full kitchen including a noisy fridge and dishwasher... The mattress was very lumpy and the pillows seemed to have seen better days... The sheets were stained and the duvet cover looked pretty worn out too... The wifi worked sometimes. Luckily I was able to connect on my phone or laptop at all times, but wasn't able to connect both at once... The TV featured both local and premium channels. Trouble was that sometimes the signal went out and the TV just showed a black screen... The A/c worked well in the apartment although there was some previous water damage by the bedroom window frame which was sloppily repaired...

- Cheryl (5/5): Disappointed - I rented for the location to Winter Park The property was under construction. That was not indicated on the booking.com site. The most unfortunate part was the pool is why I chose that property in the pool is closed. The lobby was under construction, and there was construction dust everywhere through the halls. An exterior door to the hotel was left open all night for access therefore security was questionable. There were cops one night and a fire alarm at midnight that woke us all up the next night. I was very disappointed and will return to my Marriott rewards properties after this experience.

- jenniferhK7097GV (10/5): Very positive and friendly place. - Had a stay with family for a special surprise visit to see my parents. The service there was fantastic! Kim at the front desk was incredible. I had left my diamond earrings on the night stand and forgot about them. I called that evening after realizing it. Kim at the front desk let me know they found one earring and let me know I could come look for myself as well. On my way over to the hotel, Kim personally searched the room and found the other earring. She packaged it in a special envelope with a note and kept it in the safe. I am so grateful for her kindness and the honesty of the staff. I would stay there again.

I was glad I didn’t plan to prepare food in the kitchenette. Also, the furnishings appeared very old and worn which added to the overall unclean feeling. Thankfully the bath was clean. I was surprised to see trash outside various doors in the hallway that was still there 24 hours later. And there was a charge for parking on my bill. Charging for self parking is ridiculous! The overall review rating for this facility on Expedia seems too high. The great staff is the only high rating I would give it.

- LaWanda (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay at Homewood. It was quiet and peaceful. The location was perfect, easy access to the interstate and close proximity to anything that you would want. My room was clean. But, I did find stains on some of the furniture. I would stay there again.

Could have just been our particular room… but we stay here a lot and I see a change in upkeep. The common areas are kept very clean though.

- Janice (2/5): - The ladies at front desk were rude and offensive telling me if I'm so unhappy with the room I was free to leave but I couldn't because of my sister in motorized wheelchair and we could not find other accessible accommodation i have pictures and video the place needs renovation and cleaning the manager told me she looks at the dirt every day
- Melissa (8/5): - Stayed here for one week after arriving to Maitland while we were looking for an apartment. First impressions of the property were okay, one elevator is broken and the property appears a little outdated. The person checking us in was a bit abrupt and did not come across very friendly, but everyone else I came in contact with were very nice and friendly (housekeepers, front desk, breakfast staff). Our room was great. It was very clean, comfortable bed, AC worked well. Bathroom was good. The living area and kitchenette was perfect for us to have for the week, and they do provide utensils and cookware. Once per week the housekeepers do a full room clean if you want it, and every 2 days they do a partial clean for garbages/towels/floors if you want it. The provided breakfast in the morning was excellent - they have lots of options for everyone, good coffee, and the hot food options rotate through the week. With how many workers stay here, I would say that weekday breakfast could start at 6am and that would be more convenient. At 630am the breakfast area was always packed and food trays became empty quickly. I would give this stay 5 stars if it weren't for the parking fees. Upon booking, I did not notice there was a $10 per day parking fee, although it is stated. I just did not see it. For the area this hotel is in, it seems like charging for parking is unnecessary and feels a bit like a money grab. Overall we had a great stay and would come back though!

- 436carmab (2/5): Terrible sofa bed, just terrible - I am a diamond member who has stayed at a lot of Homewood Suites. Homewood Suites can be good, and Homewood Suites can be not so good. This one definitely in the not so good category. Biggest complaint is that the sofa bed was AWFUL. Literally springs on the surface of the mattress. How anyone is expected to sleep on that is beyond me. Smaller issues: 1) hotel is just run down in general, everything seems quite old and outdated, dark and dingy; 2) not in a good location; 3) air conditioning so loud in room - rattles constantly: 4) furniture placed in a way that it was literally impossible to open the sofa bed because of the table. Had to move the sofa to pull it open and then realize what a terrible mattress it was. 5) the luggage carts barely work - wheels are horrible. When we were trying to get to our room another guest was standing in hallway with a luggage cart also - just standing there - he refused to move the few steps to the lobby - and it was nearly impossible to get by him. The front desk clerk did NOTHING. We were planning on a week's stay - checked out after one night.
