The service was 20 out of 10. The property was immaculately clean. The pools are on the smaller side so there’s not a lot of lounge chairs unless you get out there early. That was my only issue.

• Gregori (1/5): Award winning food poisoning - I got violently sick at one of the restaurants. The staff was dismissive and said it’s cultural. This was probably my 7th time visiting Cancun specifically. I’m 35 and I’ve never had food poisoning. My entire trip was compromised. I wish there were consequences for carelessness in food handling.

• Andrey (10/5): Stayed here on 4th of July and they put together a show that woulld rival anything in the USA! - We stayed at the property for during 4th of July holiday and they put on a phenomenal 4th of July event with multiple live bands, fire performers, fireworks, and even a bull riding rink. The restaurants for the evenings had good variety with the steakhouse being our favorite.

• Fabio (6/5): Very good potential, but quality of food and service below expectations for the price - Menu below expectations (we tried out the special menu for New year's eve; and we had dinner at the asiatic restaurant) Attention to customer below expectations: we were welcomed by a card in our room with the wrong name "welcome ". We asked for room service but never arrived even if asked multiple times, and had to cancel the order. We called for restaurant reservations days before our arrival but we were told that reservations were not needed: they were actually needed, and we were not able to eat where/when we wanted during our staying.

• Kristina (7/5): - The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The food was okay. There were some things that were very tasty, and others were average or below average. Very pretty view from the hotel room but it's blinding in the morning. The pillows are horrible. So flat. You need at least 3 or 4 to feel like you're sleeping on one normal size pillow. I didn't like that you had to dress formal to eat at 2 of the restaurants, and wasn't informed about that before flying, so we didn't eat at either of those places. It's a pretty small resort and nothing near to walk around and see so it felt like we were stuck there unless we took an Uber elsewhere.

Não compre pacotes de tour aqui. eu comprei um tour de yatch privado luxuoso, de luxuoso não tinha nada. 6 horas sem comida, somente cerveja e refri na latinha em um iate sujo e velho com 2 pessoas sem noção dirigindo. O hotel não resolveu a questão, eles não se responsabilizam por NADA. O restaurante principal não funcionou diversos diasa e o menu do quarto é BEM reduzido... fique mas saiba que não é mil maravilhas

• Werner (10/5): Tolles Ende einer wunderschönen Mexiko-Rundreise - Das Sun-Palace hat eine Top-Lage am wunderschönen Strand von Cancun, zum Flughafen sind es auch nur 15 Autominuten. Wir haben uns schon beim Einchecken wohlgefühlt und sind sehr nett empfangen worden. Beeindruckend fand ich die Restaurants in denen man Thai- Italienisch oder Mexikanisch essen konnte. Alle Gerichte wurden frisch gekocht und a la Carte, mit einem fantastischem Genusserlebnis serviert. Das war All In in einem wahnsinnig hohem Level. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Whirlpool und sehr bequeme Betten, Am Strand standen Liegen und Sonnenschirme für die Gäste bereit, und man wurde auch hier, regelmäßig mit leckeren Getränken versorgt. Die Piano-Bar am Abend war zudem ein Erlebnis.

• Rebecca (8/5): Great relaxing holiday - Lovely resort, was nowhere near full capacity when we went which helped. Sun loungers always available, reservations in the restaurants were not difficult to come by. We were lucky enough to help release green turtle hatchlings. The two quieter pools were welcomed, the "party pool" was too much for us! Fantastic selection of food at breakfast. Service at the poolside and in the snack bar was excellent. The overselling of the timeshare deals and other "perks" which turn out not to be perks at all was very frustrating. Said no when welcomed to the hotel, received multiple phone calls during our stay asking us to reconsider. The service at the Fuego restaurant was terrible both times we visited. The facilities for showering after check out and prior to leaving for the airport were quite basic.

• William (6/5): - The best thing about Sun palace is the wait staff and bartenders, They were fantastic! The resort was clean. Food was ok. The bad part is the front desk agents are super pushy and use super pushy sales tactics to try and get you to go and try other resorts and book things. We got there and was sat down and hammered on going to a 90 minute thing. They even went so far as to call our room to remind about that, rather then checking on our stay. One lady said we had to bring each of our IDs and credit cards. It was overbearing and because of that we won’t go back. It’s sad, because we had such a great time with the waitstaff and how friendly and informative they were.

The food was fantastic as always, however we were not to fond of the changes to the Fuego menu. Bring back the bacon wrapped chicken, please...... We visited Trattoria twice for the chicken masala and impeccable service. Sun palace feels like home to us and we cannot wait to see everyone again next year!

Doctor came (at our expense) and determined the obvious. Food poisoning. Even after front desk summoned the Dr. no one checked on us, offered any help, nothing. We just had to wait around in our room for our ground transportation to show up, which never did. So we had to hire a taxi. However the sales pitch people called our room over and over. We have been on many trips but I wouldn't go back to this place for free. Pick another place, there are many nice ones.

• Duoachong (2/5): - Awful Experience – Avoid if Booking Through Expedia We absolutely hated our stay and will never return. If you book through Expedia, prepare to be treated like a second-class guest. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and only spoke to us when pushing their timeshare pitch. Anytime we asked for help, they told us to “contact Expedia.” Only one restaurant was open during the day, and it was terrible—bad food, almost no variety. The Italian restaurant(only dinner) was the only decent option, but you’re only allowed to reserve it once. After that, you're stuck with room service, which was sadly the best food we had. We had reliable transportation arranged (as we’ve done on dozens of Mexico trips), but the resort refused to assist us and told us to leave the area—just because we didn’t book directly with them. Don’t expect a beach: it's rocky, steep, and completely unusable. The two pools are small, and there’s zero entertainment or atmosphere. It was boring and disappointing from start to finish. Most guests had different wristbands, while ours had the Expedia logo—clearly marking us as low-priority. We understand tiered pricing, but this level of exclusion and poor service was unacceptable. After visiting Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum, and Isla Mujeres over the years, this was by far the worst resort we’ve experienced. We’ve already warned friends and family—don’t waste your money here.

• Dolph (10/5): Excellent resort - Service was outstanding at every moment. Food was exceptional, all meals and snacks, drinks always made with best ingredients. That we had to leave,and pushy sales pitches,. Transportation to meet shuttle was not clear,so we missed our ride. Ended up taking a scam taxi ride,over $225us.

• Alfred (4/5): - Had a terrible experience towards the end of my stay. We had booked the saloon appointment, but my wife got sick so I called one hour before the appointment time to cancel. The manager on duty insisted that I will still be charged for no show since we did not cancel 24hrs in advance. I explained that I could not foresee sickness 24 hrs. in advance, but he still refused to accept. He told me that the only solution not to be charged is to see a doctor and get a doctor's not. We contacted our doctor in the USA who advised that the best action was to fly back home and get medical attention there since we could have missed our flight if we decided to see a local doctor. After spending thousands of dollars to stay at this high end resort, a very insensitive manager can spoil your entire experience for a no show charge of $50. Dealing with this in addition to a sick wife is a bad experience that I had to share!
• Isaac Reimer (10/5): - The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and the A/C kept it nice and cool all day and night! The activity at the party pool was Excellent! Jonathan and Pedro deserve a medal for entertaining us all day!! The food was better than any resort we’d ever stayed in Cancun. We’d definitely be back!!
• Marcus (10/5): - I cannot say enough about this resort. My wife and I just spent a week here and we did NOT want to leave. Everyone from the wait staff, bartenders and entertainers was phenomenal top notch service. Shout out to Johnathon and his crew for making our pool days and evenings exciting and welcoming. You guys are amazing and deserve a raise! Miguel and his crew at The Bar were so attentive and had our drink orders memorized by the second day. It was our anniversary and my wife’s birthday and cleaning service brought up champagne and cute cards saying happy birthday and happy anniversary. They even brought balloons into the room on her birthday. The room service always kept the mini fridge stocked with beers, water, and soda and the room was always tidy when we returned from the pool in the evening. Room service was always prompt. No longer than 30minutes. Even when we were placing wild drunk orders at 2am. The waiters were also very aware and cautious with my wife’s food allergies. I cannot say enough good about the wait staff. They even had nesting sea turtles every night on the beach around midnight. We would bring our drinks out on the beach and watch the turtles burrow and lay their eggs. Overall wonderful experience and cannot wait to return in the near future. The room service food stands out to me. It was just as good as the food in the restaurants. We are definitely looking forward to our 4th visit!!

• Tammi (6/5): - My friends and i were sitting down at the pool area. There is only one waiter for the area near the quiet pool and above by the luxury area. So our drinks took forever. The pool area with the music there was absolutely not place to sit because all the other people who have places there get priority over people who vacationing. Not right!
• Kostas (3/5): Poor - The service was GREAT. The people serving fantastic. The quality and selection was far below what I had experienced in the past. Food and price. The price I paid this time for the selections I had were very sub par.
• Luana (10/5): Amazing resort, highly recommend it - Amazing place overall. We went during a US holiday, so I was expecting some issues due to high occupancy. However, the resort doesn’t have a crazy amount of rooms, which allows for great restaurants (my standards are high), many available sun beds and excellent service. The room was amazing and perfectly clean. 10/10. The beach in front of it is very good. If you’re going during spring, just be mindful that the pool/beach get direct sun until 4-5pm.
• Andres (10/5): - As someone with OCD let me say, this place was clean, always attentive with members and non members . The attention to detail is amazing and all the pools were fun! Shout out to Jonathan, Jesus, Monica at the pool party for keeping it entertaining and doing yoga and pool Pilates for beginners! Silvio was our pool bartender and he was amazing! Jesus at Aurora was so knowledgeable about every dish! FYI the spa is awesome! Can’t wait for next vacation. Will definitely be going back!

• Darlene (10/5): - 5 night stay with a friend. Exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment we got there til the moment we left, we were always greeted with smiles from all of the staff. The weather was perfect...the beach and pool area impeccable! Entertainment staff were the best! Nightly shows were surprisingly fun. Drinks were delicious and flowing...wait staff always made sure we had a drink in hand. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Restaurants all were very good! Make your reservations as soon as you get there...certain timeslots go fast. Check in and out were quick and seamless. Will definitely go there again!
• Carolina (10/5): - Amazing hotel, service, & food. We liked everything about this resort, and we highly recommend for couples looking for a all adults only resort. Everyone provided an excellent service, specially Ignacio swing up bar, Manual pool bar, Steven & Francisco at the Thai restaurant.
• Michael (10/5): Adults sun palace - The service was very good as well as the food and drinks. The breakfast cooks angel, and Patricio were awesome. The entertainment at the poll was very good. I would recommend this resort to my family and friends.
• Casey (10/5): - This resort is great if you like to be away from the crazy loud part of Cancun. This resort is very relaxing, low key, but yet still plenty to do and see.
• Peturah (2/5): - Roach in our room. Limited food options, greasy, salty food. Left us bloated. Limited minibar snack options. No loungers on large balcony. Room service took 1 hour. Not a lot of activities at hotel… They are predators to new guests. They lie to get you to attend membership breakfast. Where the car salesman, get you drunk and sign you up for expensive vacation membership and refuse to let you out of the contract. Even when you try to cancel within allowable timeframe. Don’t fall for the money grabbing scam. The upgrade to Leblanc isn’t free, it’s built into your contract, if you try to cancel, that down payment is forfeited. The scam starts from the airport, just get your bags and walk straight out to your car service. None of those people in the passage way have your best interest in mind. They work for the vacation membership groups!
• Shawn (10/5): - This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The peoperty wasnt overly large and expansive, so this created an atmosphere that was conducive for meeting rhe same people day after day and making friends. The food was excellent, however I think the options at the Fuego restaurant could have been better. Would definitely go back to this resort.
• ayodeji (10/5): - My 3 night stay was one of the best experiences ever,we were treated like royalty,every member of staff was courteous and respectful and the food was awesome especially the snacks.For entertainment more indoor games like chess,ping pong could be introduced for guests to while away time during the day if one is not in the mood to lie by the pool or beach.Overall this is a wonderful resort and we’ll definitely be back.They also gave us a free upgrade because of our VIP acess
• Andrey (10/5): - Exceptional service from staff, very good food, especially from all day dining in Aurora. Clean a well functioning room. Decent sound insulation. Thing to notice - very soft mattress. Still rather comfortable sleep. One thing to be aware of is that in frint of the hotel the entrance to the water can be troublesome in a presence of even small waves. The safe bay is some 15 minutes walk along the beach.
