There are no options and they ran out of coffee and many things from the buffet. You have to queue for coffee you have to queue for omelette, and you pay 500 bucks per night There were no enough towers in their room and on top of that we asked for an additional pair of slippers because there was only one pair and we were four, and the reply was that they ran out of slippers. Will never return to this place, a total waste of money

Floor 16 and higher has outdated rooms with mold and musty smells and the most filthy flooring and rugs. Got stuck in right side elevator upon arrival by lobby. Staff seemed indifferent and could not provide solutions. A loud area to stay at night; police activity constantly.
• OlivierD332 (10/5): Pleasant stay in this good located property - Booked a 5 night stay for a conference. Checked-in as a Lifetime Gold member and ckecked-out as a Lifetime Platinum. Even as gold, thanks to Marc W., I was upgraded to a concierge level room with lounge access. The room had an elegant decor and 55" flatscreen tv with enough channels. Comfortable bed. Unfortunately only a shower in the bathroom but this seems to be the new normal. Small lounge on the 21st floor but never crowded. Reasonable food offerings during happy hour, wine was 12$ for a glass. Friendly Asian lady attending. Strangely, lounge access doesn't allow for free breakfast as you need to be Platinum to enjoy complimentary breakfast in Isabela's restaurant. From now on, this will not be an issue anymore. The only negative point was the unstable WiFi in the pool area, certainly towards the back. Good location, close to Brickell Centre and other shops. I had an overall pleasant stay.

• laplume9254 (8/5): Get a Renovate Room & You Will Have No Complaints - We were a little nervous staying here since there are so many bad reviews of this hotel. But we were very happy with our renovated room. Clean, large and fully stocked. Our only complaint is that the room is dark even with all the lights on. It also takes some time to get the car from valet, so plan accordingly. But all in all, get a renovated room and ignore the other reviews.
• Elsa (7/5): Good location, but poor customer service - The location is very good and convenient. Facilities are acceptable and breakfast was good. I booked directly through the Marriott website, but it was impossible to communicate with customer service. There is no email address available, and after opening a ticket on the website, I never received any response. In the end, I had to resolve the issue through Booking.com, even though I did not book through them initially. This is unacceptable for an international hotel chain, especially for guests coming from outside the USA. Property shows its age. The carpets in the room are dated but the property is clean overall.
• richardmX2978BM (2/5): Overpriced, chaotic payment handling and the most uncomfortable hotel stay I’ve had - I almost never leave reviews — but this stay genuinely deserves one. I paid over $500 per night expecting JW Marriott standards. What I experienced was closer to a $100-a-night hotel, at best. At check-in, a $300 authorisation was taken. During my stay, I spent around $387 total. Despite this, the hotel requested an additional $490, meaning nearly $800 was already being held for a bill that wasn’t even $400 — with checkout the following morning. Even after this, at checkout, I was then told I needed to pay a further $200, despite already having more than double the total amount on hold. Throughout my stay, my card was repeatedly charged with little explanation, creating constant uncertainty and stress. To make matters worse, my room access was cut off without proper discussion, as if I were some kind of risk — despite me being a frequent guest who stays here multiple times every month. I was also placed in a disabled access room, which I did not request. Then, unbelievably, I was turned away at breakfast, even though breakfast was clearly included in my rate. After paying premium prices, this was both embarrassing and frustrating. Throughout the stay, I have never felt so undervalued or so uncomfortable in a hotel, particularly one that presents itself as a luxury brand. The payment system is outdated and archaic. I travel globally for business and have never experienced a hotel repeatedly charging my card and demanding additional funds while already holding more than the full balance. I regularly book accommodation for my staff and clients when they visit our Miami office. Based on this experience, I will not be using this property again, nor recommending it to anyone. For $500+ per night, I expected professionalism, clarity, and basic respect. What I received instead was confusion, inconvenience, and poor service at nearly every touchpoint. Extremely disappointing.

• kendalls774 (4/5): Too damn old, noisy and WAY TOO COLD!!!!!!!! - The property is dated, amazing cold and insanely noisy. Stayed in room 1415. Slamming doors late into the early morning hours only muted by the outside (insanely loud) city noise coming through the widow that is not sealed or able to close completely. The noice goes through the evening. I used isolation earbuds. Helped a little. For myself, the worse part is the property runs their AC as cold as they can. It was a cool weekend in Miami, but this property could not care less and keeps it in the high 60 degree range. Why? Some people may enjoy that. I do not. The HVAC in the room shows you can turn up the temperature. Not the case. It makes no difference what temperature you set the system to, just pumps out cold, dirty air. The only option was to shut it off. The room is fine (still here tonight). No room service. The dining is odd. They have an in-room menu that is actually not available. Anywhere. The options in the hotel are minimal, but OK. Service in the bar was good. They have a refrigerator in the room filled with overpriced crap you do not want. Just have to walk next door to CVS if you wish for a snack or drink. Overall, this is a really poor example of a JW brand. Pretty much eliminates the brand for me from any future booking. How do you trust a property that could not care about maintaining a property. Do better guys.

• harjit_delhi (5/5): I had a decent stay overall but I think it doesn’t deserve the rates due to the age of the property. - Breakfast was good and had a variety of hot and cold options including bacon, sausage and an omelette station. But it can get a little busy around the omelette station. Property shows its age. The carpets in the room are dated but the property is clean overall. Also I made the booking through booking.com with breakfast and parking included, but I had some trouble getting those sorted.
• Travel_Meister2 (8/5): Great Locatin in Brickell - At the center of the Brickell district shops and restaurants were close by. A waterfront walk is just a coulpel of blocks away. I ordered an " Inspired" room which means it was recently renovated; it was fresh and nicely appointed. No waterview but still a good view of the city. Multiple dining options on site. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The pool was great with food and drink service there. Serivce was fine and the price was right for a JW.

• BellaV1977 (2/5): Hotels needs major renovations! - I was expecting much nicer hotel. It’s very outdated with old carpets, worn walls. Executive lounge is very small. We were given the access due to the platinum status. What a waste! Went in afternoon to grab a latte but the machine does not work. Trash was everywhere, looks like no one cleans it during the day. At night, one person brought some food which was mediocre. The drinks are not free. Not even single drink was sold in 2 hours we were watching a football game. The room is ok, also needs to be remodeled. I had to call 3 times to get a robe, slippers and towels. It was only 1 towels in the bathroom for 2 people staying. Th3 pool is sooooo old. Bar does not work. Chairs are worn. Just not what I expected. Do not go here!

The location is good for Brickell, 5 minute walk to the area restaurants. its an old style hotel in need of some love and care. bar area is very dull and dark. I had a corner suite room which was ok, balcony area very very poor, unloved and uncared for. no fridge in the room to put your own drinks on, only a fridge stocked full of hotel products at ridiculous prices. the pool area is soulless and needs some proper maintenance. sun beds need replacing and the entire pool area in soul less and uninviting. if your staying for work over night then its fine, but if on holiday its not great.
• Somnath (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay. - -Location -Facilities -Room service -After landing on the evening of the 12th, we were warmly welcomed by the customer care receptionist, who was truly helpful and supportive in all aspects. We have stayed at JW Marriott properties across different cities worldwide and consistently appreciated their hospitality and dedication to maintaining genuine five-star service standards. Unfortunately, our recent stay at JW Marriott Miami did not meet those expectations. During checkout, when we requested luggage storage for 2 hours, the male receptionist asked us to arrange and align our own luggage, explaining that no staff member was available at that time. This felt unprofessional and inconsistent with the service standards expected from a five-star hotel. Guests should not be instructed to handle luggage arrangements themselves, especially considering the premium rates paid for the stay. If staffing was limited, the luggage should have been managed by the hotel team at an appropriate time. When I asked for the feedback form, he attempted to share something else that was irrelevant to my request. This experience was disappointing and has made us reconsider booking JW Marriott properties in the future. • Gwendolyn (9/5): - Everything was great The front said I was schedule to check out on December 14th and my stay was until the 15th and they had extra charges added to my account. However I showed my confirmation and they did correct the Issue, but it was embarrassing.

• G735LZjosev (2/5): Worst JW I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here. - Worst JW, I have ever stayed in. Window did not close and road construction all night. The room was old and dirty. I never right views but this is unacceptable.
• Gorkem (1/5): - There is nothing I liked about this hotel. It must be a shame for JW Marriott. I didn’t like anything about this hotel. The location wasn’t bad but the room we stayed was smelling so bad and air conditioner wasn’t working well. Management can double check for the smell; room 1817. Also, the windows are not isolated well so it was hard to sleep because of the very loud exhaust sounds.

• flunie (8/5): Very good in Brickell. - Nothing at all wrong with this hotel and many things right. Brickell is a nice are and close to everything with its own local vibe. The hotel is well appointed with everything one would need. Rooms are decent sized and clean with updated decor. I have a pet peeve about shower/tub combos rather than a stand alone shower but that is just me. The first day there was water pooling in the tub but when I reported it, it was fixed promptly. I did not use the restaurant or any of the other facilities so can’t comment on that. So why do I give them a 4 star not a 5 star? Simply because there is not much notable here and would not characterize it as a luxury property. But very good choice and no one will be disappointed.

• FloridaGolferGirl4 (2/5): Awful - Dirty and Dated Room at a 5-Star Price - My husband and I are Silver Members and frequently stay at JW Marriott properties around the world. We have never complained about a JW room before, but this experience left us extremely disappointed. We booked our reservation in advance, paid a premium rate, and reserved directly through the Bonvoy App. There was no option to choose between a renovated or dated room, and all prices were the same. When we arrived at the hotel at noon, our room was not ready, so we went out for lunch and were finally able to check in around 3pm. We were assigned a room on the 20th floor, and upon stepping out of the elevator, I honestly thought we had walked into a budget motel. The hallway carpet was dirty, and the paint on the walls was chipped and scraped. Our room smelled unpleasant, like a wet dog, with a filthy brown carpet and yellow-stained walls straight out of the eighties. The bathroom was very outdated, and the lock on our balcony door did not work due to a rusty hinge. I returned to the front desk to ask if any renovated rooms were available and was told that, because we booked only for one night and the hotel was fully booked, we were assigned an older room and could not be moved. I politely expressed that this was unacceptable, especially given our loyalty and the amount we paid. The staff offered either a 20% discount or 5,000 points, but this did not make up for such a negative experience. Stay away!! I am upset that loyal members are treated this way and disappointed that we paid so much for a room that was far below the standard we expect from JW Marriott. We will not be returning.
• impicky (8/5): Lovely big city hotel - This property has the usual upscale features expected at a JW. Clean and well decorated. Extremely comfortable beds, lots of room and bath amenities. The downstairs bar is gorgeous - like a private club - and service was professional and prompt. We weren’t happy with the mandatory “service charge” on bar and restaurant bills. That goes to the hotel not directly to the servers. The property is located in a neighborhood that can be found in any metropolis. It’s in an overbuilt spot - wall to wall with tall, modern concrete and glass buildings. Great spot for business travelers, not so for tourists looking for a Miami experience.

• daniag0912 (6/5): Pool lacked the service I was expecting for a JW Marriott. - Very traditional and classic hotel. Good location. Clean. I was disappointed the pool lacked servers. There was only one person tending the bar. It wasn’t that busy but I would imagine that JW Marriott would want to boost their liquor and food sales by having a dedicated server at the pool especially on a Friday. For me, this has been a long awaited vacation and this is the first hotel that doesn’t have servers taking orders. I saw a manager peek out as soon as feedback was provided but he immediately went back in and did not send any additional staff.

• W1453JGpault (6/5): Relatively good , but not great ! - Weekend arrival after approximately 25 minutes from Miami international airport, first impressions of luxury and high end features with a grand lobby and entrance. Front desk , friendly and efficient with check in completed fairly quickly. Room itself was large and fairly clean but on closer inspection some areas showing some wear and tear . Standard Florida air conditioner, cool and powerful . Disappointed to be in a downtown Miami hotel and have no fridge in the room apart from the one filled with purchase items . Colleagues traveling with me asked for a fridge for their room but it never arrived. Generally though the room was equipped with the usual amenities, no kettle though . Shower was good with a good glass door to minimize water on the floor , no non slip rubber mat! Very comfortable bed and good pillows and fairly good sound proofing. The Flush system malfunctioned on my toilet causing it to constantly overflow. As with the fridge request with my colleague when I reported the toilet to the front desk the gentleman did not seem to take note or write anything down , did not seem that interested, thankfully I had also reported the defect over the phone and told the house keeping lady not to flush the toilet. I have stayed at the Biscayne bay Marriott and the Marriott in Dadeland in the past and never had an overflowing toilet! The area is a mixture of financial buildings and residential apartments, there is a 24hour CVS next door and Publix supermarket is about 7 minutes walk. I had a relatively good stay a decent sleep staff were friendly but as a signature brand for Marriott hotels the lack of a fridge in the room and the toilet malfunction was a slight disappointment.
