- Paul (1/5): Worst hotel experiences we have had, driven by deeply unprofessional management. - The hotel itself is situated in a very good location and the overall aesthetic and atmosphere of the property were genuinely appealing. There were also several members of staff who were welcoming, engaging, and clearly trying their best to provide a positive experience for guests. At times, however, it did feel as though some junior team members were somewhat intimidated or restricted by the presence and approach of more senior management, which unfortunately affected the overall atmosphere. It mad us feel very uncomfortable. The breakfast itself was of a very high standard in terms of quality and presentation. Once clarified, the food was beautifully prepared and served gradually, which created a much more relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. However, the process surrounding breakfast was quite confusing. Despite having paid £32 per person for breakfast in advance, we were handed menus displaying individual prices without any explanation of what was included or whether additional payment was required. This initially created the impression that we were expected to pay again. Once we asked questions, the situation became clearer, but a brief explanation at the outset would have avoided unnecessary confusion and discomfort. We were shocked and extremely disappointed with our experience staying at this venue. Whilst the location and appearance of the hotel were appealing, the overall stay was overshadowed by the poor handling of several issues. The room was clearly in need of updating and felt dated, particularly considering the price point of over £300 per night. More concerningly, appliances within the room were not working properly. Staff did attempt to help when the issues were raised, however the disruption and delays caused us to miss valuable time before an event we had planned to attend. What made the experience significantly worse was the response from senior management. When we raised our concerns respectfully, we were met with what was honestly one of the worst examples of customer service we have experienced in a hotel. The conversation the following day was deeply uncomfortable. Senior management were dismissive, aggressive in tone, and repeatedly spoke over us while we were trying to explain the situation calmly. Rather than feeling listened to, we were made to feel belittled. An agreed partial reimbursement was discussed and promised during our stay, yet this was never followed through. We made five follow-up calls to the hotel afterwards, and each interaction left us feeling further dismissed, with no resolution provided. The biggest disappointment was not that problems occurred, as issues can happen anywhere, but the lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability shown when trying to resolve them. When paying premium prices, guests should reasonably expect working facilities and to be treated with basic respect when concerns are raised. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not recommend staying at this venue.

Facilities use was a real highlight and the late check out was a bonus! Check out and use of facilities wasn’t really explained properly which caused unnecessary confusion and check in was a little slow. Couldn’t get through to reception from the room either

Had to ask numerous times for tea and coffee and had to go behind the desk to get juice. Kiwi fruit was past its best and could not be eaten. Cooked breakfast was not up to standard. The rooms were a little tired and are in need of some TLC.

The hotel was in a quiet area too The pick up point for uber drivers is very confusing to the drivers. As a single women I sent messages again and again to be collected outside the entrance doors of the hotel as they were all always somewhere else🤪 it made me a bit late for my appointments and the first pick up outside JP Morgan to take me to my hotel just gave up and cancelled as he couldn’t find me at all.

- Vivienne (9/5): Fabulous location - We were only there for one night to attend a Burns Supper in Canary Wharf. Great location. Beautiful views from the hotel room overlooking the river and pool. Staff were very helpful. Our room was spotless and a great size. The access to Virgin active next door was fabulous. Wonderful pool and spa facilities. We took the Thames Clipper to London Bridge The next day which is right beside the hotel. The breakfast included option was limited. Would have liked more choice.

- Maria Cristina (1/5): - Room size. I ended up at this hotel only because the one I usually go to was fully booked. I don’t even know where to start. 0 - This does not look like a five-star hotel. In France, this would have been considered a three-star hotel back in the 1970s. Today I have no idea. 1 - Misleading facilities information — The lift signage and front-desk staff indicated that the hotel’s fitness club and pool were located on the 2nd floor and open to guests. On arrival I found the facility closed and was told by reception it was open. I later discovered the “fitness club” and pool are not hotel facilities at all but a crowded third-party gym used via a partnership. This is misleading and unacceptable for a hotel advertised as five-star. 2 - Heating failure — My room remained uncomfortably cold for over 3 hours after check-in. Reception admitted the heating/air-conditioning system is old and that it takes a long time to switch from cold to warm — an explanation that does not excuse the prolonged discomfort. 3 - Fire alarm evacuation at 03:12 — In the early hours I was abruptly awakened by an extremely loud fire alarm and recorded announcements insisting we evacuate because it was not a drill. In panic I evacuated six floors down in slippers and pajamas and, being visually impaired, without my glasses. Outside in the cold we were told after approximately 30 minutes it was a false alarm caused by your outdated systems. I was unable to return to sleep and remained anxious and tired for the rest of the morning. Because of the alarm and the sleepless night my performance the following day (an important workday) was severely compromised. I reported the incident to reception and was promised contact from management and consideration of compensation. No one has contacted me.

Alleen de kamer was echt veel te koud, iemand van het hotel heeft nog geprobeerd om dit te repareren, maar helaas niet goed gelukt. zie hierboven; kamer was (veel) te koud
- Graham (9/5): Impressive location, modern building. - Impressive location right on the River Thames in Canary Wharf, underground parking, nice modern building, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff. There was quite a delay checking us in because of new software but this is unlikely to be an ongoing issue.

The extremely cold draft in the bar area every time someone passed through the door to the leisure area.

- Dariusz (7/5): Nice but needs to be refreshed. - Lokalizacja, miły personel, basen z ładnym widokiem, udogodnienia, wysokiej jakości materiały wykorzystane w hotelu (ręczniki, szlafroki, kawa nesspresso), duża wanna, fajne okno z wnęką w której można usiąść (niestety okno z zwenąrz było bardzo brudne). Druga sucha sauna była rozgrzana do 100°C. Brudne okno w pokoju, plamy na dywanie, niski standard higieny w suchej saunie, (prawdopodobnie przez zbyt niską temperature 60°C) drewniane panele napuchnięte od wilgoci (w suchej saunie i na basenie). Hotel potrzebuje odświerzenia i trudno tego nie zauważyć. Wiedziałem, że w tej lokalizacji cena za noc będzie wysoka, ale mimo wszystko miałem nieco wyższe oczekiwania.

- Pletea (7/5): Did not meet expectations - The sauna and the pool, just a small minus that they are on a different building. Winter time is not very pleasant to go outside on your slides. Maybe just me because I m always cold, but I was cold over the night. The furniture is old and dated for a 5 stars Hotel.
- Jade (10/5): Fantastic location, breakfast was perfect and a spa moments away - Greeted by Lesley at front of house, she was especially polite and accommodating considering it was New Years Eve and a busy evening in London. She even walked us over to the spa in the opposite building when we asked where it was the next day and helped us arrange a later check out so that we could spend more time enjoying the hotel amenities.
