- Sahithi (2/5): - We had booked our stay by paying the entire amount a month ago - we booked the royal suite room . But when we reached the hotel we were given a normal room when we told them that we booked royal suite They told us that the hotel is overbooked and there is no royal suite available . We asked them for other room they showed us the deluxe suite which was like a downgrade and not an upgrade . We asked once again for a royal suite they said take the normal room now by the time u go around the city and come back by evening we will get a room ready . We had come back after 6 hours but still they asked us to wait for another few minutes because some repairs are still going . End of the day when we got the room it was nothing close to the pictures The pics and the room was very very very different . We go to the pool and store our items in the locker room , by the time we finished our swimming and went back to changing rooms our lockers were locked and the guy had left the premises It took us another 1 hour to get the boy back and get the lockers opened This experience we did not expect . The only compensation we got was one dinner that’s all . Never booking via Expedia again . How can there be a confusion when it is prepaid ?

Staff members at Reception, Valet parking and in their restaurants were simply amazing and went above and beyond their usual service level. Collectively they all made sure our stay was comfortable and attended to all our requests and needs. Hannegil, Fatima, Sudip, Abbas & Aasif were all great and been extremely friendly with our family ! Would love to visit again in future...

- Stephanie (8/5): A Luxurious Night - This stay started rocky but the receptionist made it up to us quickly. We arrived at 3:00 pm and the hotel was fully booked and struggling to get prior guests to check-out on time and therefore have rooms cleaned and ready. However, the young lady at the front desk was patient and calm, and we had a gorgeous room within 30 minutes. The room was spacious and luxurious and we enjoyed our stay. The outdoor can get full quickly, as it is not very large. There were many families in the pool so we didn't stay too long. The Irish pub has great food and beverages, and you have to go to the restaurant at the top for a cocktail, just to take in the view

- Laney (8/5): A weekend getaway - I stayed for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The hotel is conveniently located in a good location that is walkable to many shops, restaurants and public transportation. The friendliness from the lifeguard at the pool was superb as he was so helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that currently the local government has the new, remodeled rooms blocked off so any bookings are put in the old, non-remodeled section of the hotel. For the price paid, it’s not worth it. The rooms aren’t updated, the carpet is stained and filthy looking, and the ac in that section is not the greatest. I won’t stay here again until the closed off part is reopen to guests. There are so many other hotels in Abu Dhabi with better prices for a nicer experience.

It was dated and dirty. Nothing like the previous stay. I contacted reception immediately to find out what was going on. Apparently they have 2 towers, an older one and a newer, more modern one. But the more modern one had been rented out by the government, so all hotel guests are placed in the older section. Aside the the overall state of the room, the bed is comfortable and large and the bathroom has been upgraded. If only they focused more on the carpets and the bottoms of the bed. Aside from the shock of the state of the room, the service at Le Royal Meridien is top notch. Everyone I came into contact with, from the bartender at PJs, to the concierge, and in between, the employees tried to make my stay comfortable. Would I stay here again? No, not in the older section for the price I paid. It’s not worth it when there are so many other hotels in Abu Dhabi for a similar price point but are cleaner and more modern. Currently the price paid is too much.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel had excellent restaurants and a great choice at breakfast. Warm welcoming on arrival with a pleasant and fast service for checking you in. They had two pools indoors and out doors and the hotel was positioned close to the sea and amenities. I would recommend this hotel for couples wanting to relax for the weekend without moving from the hotel.

Rooms, breakfast etc were all high standard however with al late arrival the staff insisted on taking my bags to the room. this took about 20-25 minutes which I really didn't appreciate at 11:30pm ! service in restaurant for breakfast was similarly frustrating as they tried to be helpful but lacked efficiency. People all super nice tho'

- Verified traveler (6/5): Helpful hotel staff - Hotel staffs helped me to feel comfortable but that day was Ramadan. Hotel facilities were for Ramadan events and a dinner party with laud music. I was not so happy with my stay because I wanted to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and have a quiet night. I hope that I will stay at the hotel again on a normal day.

I had friends that cane to visit but was tirnned away because they were told can have three visitors. I was other nationalties that was allowed to have more than there so my only conclusion is that because my friends were African they were turned away.

- Mae Czarina (10/5): Loved our stay - The hotel was booked by my husband’s company so we had no expectations of what it would be like. Turns out our 7 night stay here was very pleasant. What we loved most about the hotel was the warmth of the staff. We felt very welcome and at home. Rosemarie and Shirley of the front desk were most helpful when we had an issue checking in. Mai Tiz at the Wheat restaurant was very warm and accommodating. I did not get the names of the bell hop and the housekeeping staff of the 23rd floor. They too were very warm and accommodating. The breakfast buffet though could be better with more choices. You could opt to eat at Wheat instead. If we were to go back, this hotel would be a top choice. P.S. get the sea view room!

- Laney (10/5): Great hotel for comfort, service and variety - This is one of my favorite hotels in Abu Dhabi. The lobby is attractive, the rooms are comfortable and, by far, the service is the best. There is a large variety in restaurants and bars to suit the needs of everyone who visits. Every time I stay here, I am more than pleased with my experience. Tip: check out the food trucks and shisha at the gorgeous new outdoor patio.
