Guest Reviews
- Christine (10/5): - Cozy location with lots of fresh food options within walking distaance. Easy access to public transportation. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!
- Nicole (10/5): Charming Montparnasse hideaway - Charming hotel in Montparnasse. Surprisingly quiet for a lively Parisian neighborhood. Splendid staff, always smiling, always willing to assist. Cozy room with clever shower design to make use of the limited space without feeling cramped. Thoughtful breakfast with homemade items and plentiful coffee to order. Would absolutely stay here again.
- Chengjingyi (6/5): - The location is great — it’s very convenient to buy food and take the metro nearby.
However, on the last day of my stay, the housekeeping staff forgot to clean the room.
The breakfast cost €16, but the food was not very fresh.
The room on the second floor had poor sound insulation and was very small.
I won’t stay here again next time.
- Phyllis (8/5): - Staff were very friendly, the hotel had a lovely boho vibe to it. The room was clean and comfortable. Would have like facilities to make tea and coffee in the room.
- Hong (10/5): - Nice hotel, clean and comfy, very nice hotel stuff
- Prudence (10/5): - Great front desk staff members! The whole kitchen crew worked diligently and made delicious food!
- Josh (10/5): - Hotel was great, very cute. It’s small but all you really need for a couple looking for a good time in Paris.
- Mireille (10/5): Nice time - Excellent Hôtel
- Benoit (10/5): Février à Montparnasse - Comme nous étions dans la cabane, j'ignore si les autres chambres sont aussi agréables, mais la cabane, même au mois de février est très plaisante.
Personnel très aimable.
Bref, 3 jours agréables
- Mireille (10/5): Nice place to station. - Charmant hôtel très bien situé: métro, commerces, restaurants…
Jardins à proximité.
- Brianne (10/5): - This property was cute and authentic, in a less tourist-y area of Paris! The staff was amazing, we had an issue with our room and they were able to relocate us within a day! It was located right next to a metro stop, which made getting around Paris very convenient! Appreciate all of the staff for their help and attentiveness!
- Tony (8/5): - Considering that it rained a lot, we didn’t get to explore much.
- Zaid (10/5): - This hotel has a lot of charm.
- William (10/5): - Hotel staff was very friendly.
- Joel (10/5): - Really clean room, few seconds walk from Pernety Metro station, Pastry restaurant right in front.
- Marie (10/5): - It’s was perfect
- pranita (10/5): - Cute little, very clean boutique hotel. Great residential location and the staff were super helpful and nice. The metro a just a few steps away and it was so easy to get to CDG airport via the bus and metro as well. And having AC in the heat was a godsend.
Highly recommend for a peaceful time in Paris. Thank you to all the staff who were so friendly and helpful.
Pranita
- leng (10/5): - Yann, thank you for making our stay at this hotel enjoyable and effortless. The hotel was conveniently located near the metro and bus. A variety of international food is available within walking distance of the hotel.
- Peter (10/5): - Make sure to visit Land and Monkeys for the best coffee and cakes... also Le Laurier - superb bistro close to hotel
- Evelyn (10/5): - We had a great time staying here for over a week. It’s a short train ride away from popular sights, there’s a small produce store right next door, a pharmacy across the street, and a couple food places on the same block. Would stay again!
- Leah (8/5): - A lovely little place, with simply appointed rooms. Bathroom/toilet is not the highlight of this, but were still fine. Bed was great. Public areas were very nice- and so was all of the staff. Would stay again, depending on other city locations I would intend to visit. For this trip, I really liked being close to the cemetery!
- David (10/5): - Amazing stay. Lolita was a very professional and polite host and desk officer. A very lovely and accommodating person who greatly assisted me with my late arrival. She also carried my luggage to my room on the 5th floor due to a non-functioning elevator.
- gordon (10/5): amazing hidden gem! - Such a lovely place, a beautiful repose with light and quiet..and du gout! yet steps away from a bustling..even open on sunday market street. you don't even have to cross the street to get to the metrol!
Amazing hidden neeighborhood as well le vrai paris!
- Delphine (10/5): - Cet hôtel est super, confortable, calme, beau et le personnel est très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est très qualitatif avec les viennoiseries et le pain qui viennent de la boulangerie d’en face.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The best hotel’s staff and service in France! I really recommend you this place for your trips or stay in Paris. Everyone was friendly, smiling, and kindly answering my queries.
- Eric (10/5): Très bien !! - Un chouette hôtel dans Paris, très agréable et proche de la gare Montparnasse.
Personnel très accueillant, souriant, adorable et aux petits soins pour vous.
Je conseille vivement cet hôtel !!
- stephen (10/5): Excellent hotel - Extremely friendly staff, who spoke to me in French! (Ok, they were humoring me)
- Eric (10/5): Great location + hip ground level - Thanks for great stay! Terrific location just a 1/2 block from the metro.
- tracey (10/5): - Love the staff and it was a fun stay.
- Chris (10/5): - Wahn at the front desk was awesome! Very helpful. Hospitality was over the top.
- Luke (4/5): - We got the more expensive room. It had a picture online of a beautiful window, which was the only difference between the two, except for a little bit more space. However when we got there, it looked like the cheaper room. We emailed the hotel and they said, sorry you didn't get the one you saw, they are only on the top floor. They had no coffee pods in the room either days, a light was broken, and there was only a little bit of shampoo left.
- Maiko (10/5): - Staff are friendly and helphul. The breakfast is really tasty and good potion.
- Heidi (10/5): - Great location- right next to the Metro and lovely staff.
- Michael (8/5): Good quality hotel for the price - Very nice and clean hotel. Excellent service. Location is good as it is right next to a Metro station. Although the hotel itself is located in a residential, rather than touristy, area. The room was good quality. But it was also small, although typical for a European hotel.
- Katherine (10/5): - The staff here is amazing - so friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms was immaculate and well-designed. Our room was small, but efficiently laid out. A great pied-a-terre in Paris - a block from the Metro stop, lively area, not a lot of tourists. Would definitely stay here again.
- Joanne (8/5): Modern contemporary in the 14th - Check in and out was great and welcoming. Room good, but compact. Shower was in the room which is OK as I was a solo traveller on this occasion. Bed comfortable and I had a good sleep.
I'd skip the breakfast as there's a great boulangerie across the road which is better.
Fab location, right next to Pernety metro station in the 14th. I did hear the rumble of trains underneath until the early hours but that was fine. All in all a good stay
- Don (10/5): - Close to small shops and metro.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - L'emplacement edt parfait et l'hotel un ecrin de tranquillité
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location very good in a neighborhood street full of shops and nect door to metro station. Room small and very clean. Breakfast excellent. Shower is in the room and transparent (objectionable for people, specially not couples). Got the room when arriving at noon. It is an excellent choice in touristic Paris.
- Melvin (8/5): Decent value for money - Overall worth it. One tip, avoid the breakfast which is not included anyways. You have many other breakfast options which are cheaper and better just a corner from the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay at the 9hotel. It was right by the metro Pernety and was surrounded by easy places to eat and shop. Montparnasse is easy to navigate by foot from the front door.
The room we had was small but comfortable and chic. The bed was very comfortable. (I would suggest bringing earplugs as the air con was noisy.)
The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room has a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very flexible and let us eat breakfast early when we had to leave early to the airport.
In all, a lovely place to stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great Parisian walking area for people watching. Clean hotel. Good breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Small little hotel but it was clean. Everyday you come back into your room and it looks like new. Staff is always friendly.
The breakfast buffet was the highlight. Absolutely superb.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location. Great service. Newer design of rooms. 5/5 rating.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very confident location steps from metro, pernety. But carpet was gross from being wet over and over again with shower right next to the bed. These are very very small rooms with little space to put your things. We felt crowded with 2 bags And 1 suitcase. Modern decor and a nice lush garden outside the window. We could hear the metro running almost every few minutes. Not terrible.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall fine but with some issues - The overall experience was fine. However when we arrived the room was still not ready, which was annoying since we were very tired after the flight.
When we then see the room it is not completely cleaned, it was obvious that it was rushed. We then complain about it, and the clerk is then rude, since she is offended.
Furthermore the toilet cannot close completely, so you can hear everything that is going in there, which is not okay.
- Guilherme (8/5): Well located close to Metro, good place to sleep. - Hotel location is really close to a Metro station, there's quite a few restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is neat, clean and well maintained, the room itself is simple but cozy, shower is good and I have no complains about the bed itself. The room I rented was for one person although a couple would do well too. It is a good option if you need a well located place to sleep. The walls have no sound isolation and it can be fun hearing your neighbors talking sometimes but if you care about sound isolation, take this into consideration.
- Zoe (8/5): - Great hotel conveniently located steps from the metro. Everyone was very friendly and great accommodating me and my assistance dog. The hotel room was also lovely, thank. You
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hôtel near metro.
Everything is new. The only problem the room is too small.
- Rob (10/5): - Reasonably priced, great staff. The location worked well. Rooms are small but well designed and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfectly located in a residential district of Paris with a great selection of surrounding of bars and restaurants to visit.
- Enrique (10/5): Good experience, would return. - Good hotel in Montparnasse. Nice breakfast, right next to Pernety subway station, quiet neighborhood, excellent oven pizza restaurant and Carrefour Express on the corner. Good if you like quiet, a bit removed from the hussle. Rooms are small but nice, well kept, clean. Good experience, would return though I do think it is best a bit closer. Subway transfer at Montparnasse Bienvenue to catch the 13 to Pertety is long.
- Anthony (10/5): Peaceful and silent - Room was upgraded to the "Cabane", which a separate bedroom built in the inner courtyard. Being detached from the rest of the building it's perfectly silent. Room is very clean and with gorgeous bathroom, the photos will speak for themselves. I would definetely recommend it if you visit Paris as a couple.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Modern, clean, friendly, food breakfasts, value for money, close to a Metro station & all the staff speak English if you don’t want to practise your French. What more could you ask for?
- Richard (8/5): 9hotel review - Not a brilliant area, but hotel close to tube.
- Mark (8/5): Little Gem - Lovely convenient hotel. Nice part of Paris. Close to metro.
- Peter (10/5): Good Location - Great for transport and very well run comfortable hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad for price/value in Paris - Simple but decent breakfast. Nice decor. Ok clean. Steps from metro. Quiet quarter but still have shops, bars, bistro etc.
Only down side not too soundproof, gets loud in the morning, especially with cleaning.
- Thomas (10/5): Almost a 10! - The Hotel was exactly what we wanted. Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, quiet and in a great location. The room was compact but very well designed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location right beside Metro. This was my wife's second time to stay in a 9Hotel and we would certainly recommend it.
- Jason (10/5): Great place in a great location at a great price. - Well-placed by the Metro in a properly local neighbourhood. The room was spotless, the bed comfy, the breakfast tasty, and the staff very friendly.
- Janet (8/5): Great staff, nice lobby, very small room - The staff were ecceptionally pleasant and we
really liked the cool decor of the lobby and dining room with its warm wood and simple furniture. However our room at the back was very small and I could never get used to the see through shower.
- KEIKO (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Paris - All receptionists were friendly and supportive and I really enjoyed my stay overall and definitely will be back here again for sure!!!
Merci beaucoup!!!
- Margaret (10/5): Paris - Quaint room away from too many tourists. Close to subway stop. Great provincial shopping. Walking distance to les catacombs.
- Kostyantyn (10/5): Great one - Really great hotel right next to a metro station. Actually the hotel was much better than expected. Highly recommended
- leyland (6/5): Nice hotel great design throughout but... - nice hotel great design throughout very clever use of space however hotel should also have access to like leaflets of local activities and shops. in addition to this a kettle and a mini fridge in the room would add to the comfort of the room.
staff were decent as spoke English but didn't really try to interact with you also when we tried to check out they tried charging us 200 euros, saying we haven't paid for the room and that we ordered 2 breakfast when we didn't and when I expressed that we only ordered one breakfast the receptionist at the time was very rude and kept speaking over me and saying that he has a very good memory implying we were lying when we certainly weren't
personally I have a good memory too and I will not go in to context of the whole story of what happened but he was definitely wrong on this ocassion and throwing out accusations that were false which really made me and my girlfriend feel uncomfortable at the time, customer service went out the window at this point as it was very disrespectful
however minus all of this I would rate the hotel 3 star out of 5 add a few little things if possible like Kettle, mini fridge, English TV, it would of been a 4 nearly 5.
- Christopher (10/5): - Staff was great! Beds comfortable and breakfast was good too!
- Chaz (8/5): - Not a bad place. A little smaller than I thought it would be. The people at the front desk were very friendly, but this hotel feels more like a self-service type. Not a bad value, however. Really enjoyed the theme of the Hotel and the morning breakfast.
- Mo (10/5): Modern hotel close to the Metro - A warm welcome and really friendly staff. The hotel is modern and clean, visited in December and reception was warm and cosy. We had a standard room which was just big enough, it was immaculate and cleaned daily. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but the reception staff made us a free lovely cup of coffee.
- Sandra (8/5): Love this hotel and staff! - My husband and I have stayed at this hotel four times. I love that it's new, modern, but most especially, because the staff are so friendly and accommodating. I've said this in other reviews, the only negative is that there really is not a lot of privacy in the room. The bathroom door provides no privacy at all as it is simply a sliding door. This last visit, the door would not stay shut at all. The glass enclosed shower is in the room, which may be an issue for some. Didn't bother us, however.
We did not have breakfast this time, but on previous visits, it was great!
- Herbert (8/5): - Great , sunny, very good ambiance ,
- Gary (10/5): 9Hotel - Great location! Short distance frome Metro.
- David (10/5): Top Spot in Paris - Athe Hotel was warm, clean and stylish. Our bed was made and the room cleaned each day. We loved our stay. Our only slight negatives are that there is no kettle in the room (we are English!) and the breakfasts were ok but, for example, could have done with a selection of fruit not just one. Also, full size croissants would have been nice.
- Heather (10/5): Excellent!! - Brilliant hotel, on a main metro line, easy to access, lovely and clean, really modern and decent size rooms especially for Paris. Couldn't ask for more!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was in good condition, but very small. One could not even put a jacket on a hanger without contorted movements, and the table for working was extremely small. The wireless was rather weak.
- Renier (8/5): Great stay - Great hotel! Conveiniently located near Pernetu metro makes traveling easy. Great modern and nice fresh smelling hotel.
- Marjaneh (10/5): Cute and conveniently located - Cutest little hotel. Breakfast good, reasonable price. 20 steps from the Metro! The rooms are small, but they have everything you need. The street has many stores and restaurants. I will stay there again! And yes, the shower is right in the room, don't stay there with anyone you are shy with.
- Mark (6/5): Excellent location in Montparnasse - Wi-Fi sucks, comfy bed, awesome location, lots of shops near by.
And the metro is literally 10 steps away
- Gabriel (10/5): Fresh hotel - What a great room. It's small but feels very large. Toilet and shower were the best I've ever had in Paris. This is perfect for solo travelers or couples. Keep in mind the walls of the shower are made of glass which could be an issue for friends.
- neil (10/5): Stylish, friendly and great location - I'm not one for reviewing hotels but I feel obliged to review this hotel. The decor is is better than big hotel chains I have stayed in and passed my interior designer wife's tests on style and comfort. The members of staff are helpful 24/7. It's practically next door to metro stop pernaty so you can get to the main attractions within minutes. If I come back to paris(which I will) I would definitely stay here again. Last thing I would say is that it's more like a four star hotel than three!
- CHAO-WEN (8/5): - Very good
- john (8/5): - Very very nice small room very busy street outside one minute and not the next weird great for metro the rates go all over up and down and when down i would happily stay here again
- Verified traveler (8/5): good, but service could be better - It is a nice hotel, at a very good location, but staff could be a bit more helpful and more polite. Every time you were asking them something, it was like they made you a favor to respond back...
- Mary (10/5): Amazing for the price - I stayed for 5 comfortable nights here and paid the non-refundable rate. As everyone says, the rooms are small, but this wasn't a problem for me.
- Colin (10/5): A relaxing few days in Paris - We found the hotel staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to translate emails and give us directions to collect tickets.
The room was cleaned each day with fresh towels. The air conditioning worked well and we were not disturbed by the outside traffic.
Locally we found excellent bars and places to eat at a variety of prices. The metro is a few metres from the hotel making it easy to get around Paris and beyond.
- Lion (8/5): Staff makes the difference - Thanks to 9hotel staff, my holidays becomes a memorable one. My foot hurted on the first day in Paris. The 9hotel staff not just provided excellent answers to ease my situation.
9hotel front desk gave me variable tips to rearrange my tour, an supporter for my injured foot, and arranged a taxi to get my family to airport early in the morning. So our family trip become one of the best instead a nightmare.
- John (10/5): A great discovery - I had an overnight stay in Paris in this lovely hotel which is very conveniently situated near Pérety Métro & Montparnasse in a fairly quiet street. The receptionist on duty was charming and could not have been more helpful. Truly excellent service. As I had an early start next morning, she arranged a wake-up call and taxi. The room is small but adequate with super shower and wash-basin facilities in the room.Very clean and very comfortable. My room on 5th floor overlooked the street but it was very quiet. A perfect hotel for my stay and I would certainly return.
- Marc (10/5): recommended - very pleasant hotel at a good price
- Duncan (10/5): A good base for a Paris visit - This is not your hotel if you are looking for a place in the center of Paris with a historic feel. For us it was ideal. Personnel exceptionally helpful. Totally modern with excellent sound isolation from inside and out. Superior double room not large but adequate - private toilet, in-room shower, fully adjustable A/C. Breakfast abundant, varied, and in a room overlooking a delightful garden. Everything fresh and varied from day to day. If you want the full selection including their daily freshly home-made juice combination, it's good to arrive not too close to the closing time of 10:30. You'll need to leave your boiled egg in the special egg cooker at least 7-8 minutes since the water isn't boiling (10 for hard boiled). Good selection of fresh bread and mini croissants, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, cereal. Coffee and hot chocolate machine worked very well. It's just round the corner to the right from the Pernety metro station (leave from the Pernety exit and stay on the same side of the street - be careful not to miss it or confuse it with other "Montparnasse" hotels like the 55 opposite), Not the most convenient metro station so ask about connections, and don't try dragging luggage through the long corridors and stairs of the Montparnasse station (go for smaller stations for changes). The Crèperie next door is good for eating locally. Nice neighborhood, but not exciting. A pleasant, reasonably-priced stay.
- Abdulrahman (10/5): Excellent. - Well. The hotel is in very good location for me because I always want to stay close to a train station. And it is les than a minute minute walking from the train station.
Very clean and beautiful.
The breakfast was not good. It wasn't even reasonable.
Anything else was excellent.
- Robert Paul (8/5): Business trip with wife to Paris - Picked the hotel from the internet for general location after checking reviews and was pleasantly surprised. The bedroom was a little small for two but everything worked well, including wifi, breakfast wasa very good cold buffet and location was fine. We had a garden room, facing away from the street so our room was quiet. The hotel was clean, efficient and the staff were very helpful.
- Ed (8/5): Very good - Very good all around
- andrea (10/5): Paris Weekend - A friends trip for a week in Paris. The hotel was in a good location, near metro and bus station. Very clean and new, modern rooms, very tiny perfect for one person.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Review - Room was next to an elevator making it very noisy
- Guillaume (10/5): Good value for money - Tiny but clean and cosy room. Good price. Not a luxury hotel but still good standard. Highly recommended. No opinion on breakfast since I didn't have one.
- Maureen (10/5): Love this hotel! - I stayed here by myself, while visiting friends at a nearby apartment. I felt very safe and comfortable being solo. My room was on the smaller side, but it was immaculate! And the bed, very comfortable.
I was also very grateful for the help at the front desk. I had a lot of questions about how to take the train back to the airport, etc. and each person that assisted me was very kind and patient. Another plus for this hotel is that it's right next to a Metro station.
One thing to be aware of - the shower walls are all glass, meaning anyone in the room with you can see you. So unless you're traveling with someone close to you, it could be a bit awkward.
- Recent Traveler (4/5): Good hotel, bad WiFi - The WiFi signal would repeatedly turn off and on, in a maddening way. Uploading or downloading files, watching videos, reading e-mail, surfing the web, and connecting to the office were impossible. Several staff members admitted that this problem has long persisted, despite management awareness.
Any 3-star hotel should have this vital modern infrastructure in reliable working order, or fix it quickly.
- Alain (8/5): ?? - enjoyed it but rooms are small
- Isabel (10/5): Don't worry about the shower, this place is great. - If you can handle the shower being in the room then this hotel is perfect. The glass fogs up pretty quick so it's probably not a big deal. I was by myself so I had no problems. I had to get up at 4am and the concierge called me a taxi, lent me a spoon, fixed my hairdryer when I couldn't figure out how to use it. Everyone was nice, accommodating, the place was super clean, you're about 50ft from the subway, I had zero complaints.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel - The only drawback I could find is that the rooms aren't very soundproof.
- David (8/5): Good value in decent neighborhood - Nicely designed small rooms OK neighborhood -- attentive service especially from Latif. There are a lot of small restaurants and shops in the immediate area. Nothing off the charts. If you need to be in Montparnasse and don't want to spend too much this is a good value.
