• Matthew (10/5): A surprising little gem in West Hollywood - The location was great! The staff were amazing! They have a decent custom coffee machine in the lobby. The room was clean and updated and has ports for charging devices on each nightstand, desk, and dresser. Ample light in the room. The garage is small and you may get stuck using ride apps if not prepared.

Karla and Rea are very helpful, caring and professional at the front desk always ready to assist. The housekeepers Sandra and Yolanda are very helpful, professional and friendly. The two gentlemen who did the maintenance and daily operations were professional, friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a friendly face.

• oksana iuzyk (10/5): Amazing hotel - I was extremely pleasantly surprised by this hotel. On Booking, it is listed as a three-star hotel, but honestly, it can easily be considered a four-star—or even four-and-a-half-star—hotel. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive. The level of cleanliness was outstanding—honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel this clean. I have a habit of walking barefoot and never use slippers. In almost every hotel I’ve stayed in—whether three or five stars—the floors were never truly clean, and my feet would always get dirty. But in this hotel, my feet stayed completely clean. I was genuinely impressed by how well everything was maintained. The staff was extremely welcoming and respectful. They really listened to me and made me feel comfortable. I asked for a late check-out, and not only did they accommodate me, but they also didn’t charge me for the extra two hours. Overall, this hotel left a very strong and positive impression on me. I’ll say it again—this is definitely not just a three-star hotel. It deserves a solid four or even four-and-a-half stars. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows were excellent, and the rooms were spotless. The only minor issue was that the elevator was not working when I arrived, and I was given a room on the second floor. However, the man at the front desk kindly reassured me and even carried my luggage upstairs himself. That was not even part of his job, but he acted like a true gentleman, and I really appreciated it. I highly recommend this hotel. The location is also fantastic—just five minutes to the Beverly Center and five minutes to a nearby park. The location is simply perfect. --- The elevator was broken.

• lorrainek295 (10/5): Great hotel! - The hotel was perfect! Great location for getting around without being in the hustle and bustle of Hollywood! Room was great! Clean and tidy! The little balcony was an added bonus. All the staff were very helpful, from checking in to the point we were leaving. Would always tell us to have a great day as we were off out and welcome us back after! Yes there are no food options in the hotel itself, but plenty around. Mustn't forget the daily happy hour (well two hours) where you could grab a beer or wine and sit outside watching the world go by! Would return if ever in LA again!

The staff assisted several times a day by freezing the ice pack in their refrigerator freezer. The location was excellent . Many dining options within walking distance to the hotel. I wish I had the time to enjoy shopping at the Beverly Center two blocks away. Originally our room was going to be on the second floor. When we arrived the elevator was out of order. They accomodated us with a first floor room. There were several stairs at the entrance which was a cause of concern.

• H7276CTtonyw (2/5): DON’T STAY HERE. Find Another Option, Lots Better Available Elsewhere! - DON’T STAY HERE. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. It started with our reservation. We specifically booked and were promised a two-bed room, which was not honored upon arrival. Instead, we were placed in a room that was far smaller and completely inadequate for our needs. The room itself was extremely small and poorly furnished. There wasn’t even a sofa or comfortable seating area to sit and watch TV. The layout felt cramped, awkward, and poorly designed — which makes sense, because this building is clearly a converted elder care facility, not a purpose-built hotel. Wheelchair accessibility was grossly misrepresented. The room labeled as “accessible” could not properly accommodate a wheelchair. We had to move furniture just to allow basic navigation and turning space. In addition: The front exterior wheelchair lift — the ONLY accessible exit to the street — was inoperable, despite staff assuring us it was working before we arrived. The garage is hazardous to use and even has signage posted disclaiming hotel responsibility for guest safety. Safety outside the hotel is also a serious concern. There were homeless individuals sleeping directly in front of and along the sides of the building. We experienced verbal harassment while entering and exiting the hotel, and hotel management did nothing to address or manage the situation. Basic amenities were also unreliable. Even the coffee machine was out of order, adding to the overall poor experience. This property is poorly managed, misleadingly advertised, and fails at basic hospitality standards. There are many better options in Los Angeles. Avoid this hotel.

• alicelI2592BS (6/5): Basic but convenient hotel in Beverly Hills area - Overall I would rate this as a 2-star hotel given the lack of amenities, parking situation, and lack of food options in the hotel. However, I want to give kudos to David at the front desk, who provided great service in changing my reservation and refunding the remaining nights when I had to depart suddenly due to a family emergency. I’d only stay here again if I had business in the area for a short stay, and wouldn’t consider it for a vacation or lengthy stay. Likes: Location is convenient, in walking distance of Beverly Center and Cedars Sinai. Self-parking available, which is rare in this area, where most hotels only offer valet. Room includes microwave and mini fridge. A/C works well and quickly. Hard floor (laminate probably) preferable over carpet for me. Clean room on the 2nd floor. Dislikes: The entrance to the hotel is sketchy at night, with a homeless person permanently sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. Only food options within walking distance at night are Taco Bell and Chipotle (both across the street) - luckily I already ate before nightfall. No restaurant or food options in the hotel itself. Although the rooms have been remodeled, it was really just a surface level update and overall it has more of a motel feel. You have to call the front desk to open the gate to the parking garage, which is underground, and they assign you a parking slot, which is tandem parking. Luckily it wasn’t too full. The windows are not UV coated I guess, because during midday the sun was making the room extremely hot and I had to draw the blackout shades!
• Juley (5/5): Felt like an episode of Faulty Towers with this place, not worth the money or stress :( - Really lovely decor, very boutique LA vibes This option was recommend on website as for 3 guests, but upon arriving, discovered it only had a king bed, so there was nowhere for our daughter (17) to sleep! And as it was NYE, they were fully booked, except for one single room remaining, which they wanted to charge us more than our current room for. We ended up going down the road and buying an airbed for her. Room was also pretty small; ice machine wasnt working; people were parking in wrong spots in garage, and hubby had to move car, and if you wanted to re-enter the garage, you had to call the front desk to let you in, which isnt helpful if you arent on a US phone (whole parking process needs better organization); a 'Happy Hour' of beer or wine was being promoted, but they had run out of beer; homeless person sleeping by entrance in the rain :(

The hot water took a long time to get hot. Blow dryer didn’t work and you couldn’t use the blow dryer in the bathroom because the mirror was too close to the electric outlet to plug in. No Kleenex and I had to ask for hand soap. It served our purpose for a short stay.

We stayed at the Elan between November 15th, 2025 (8:00 PM) and November 20th, 2025 (10:00 AM). The staff who assisted us at check-in and check-out were extremely efficient, attentive, and caring. The other staff who attended to the reception left much to be desired. The location is good. The rooms are clean. The beds are terrible and urgently need an upgrade. If you don't have an excellent command of English, I advise you to look for accommodation where there is a greater willingness to communicate with you.

This trip, I came from Mexico, where I unfortunately had my wallet and credit cards stolen. After all that and long travel day, Millie at the front desk was SO helpful and gave me all the options to make checking in so easy. She was so friendly and helpful that it really put me at ease. Aside from the very friendly staff, the hotel has a great location, central to everything I am doing while here (working in West Hollywood and Hollywood) the rooms have all been recently updated and come with everything you need. Every hotel should take notes from Millie and the Elan. :)

I managed to do so much in such a short stay — checked in close to midnight and checked out almost at midnight the next day! The location is excellent — close to Beverly Hills, within walking distance of The Grove and Beverly Center, and just a short Uber ride to the Hollywood Bowl or Santa Monica. The room was perfect: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff was friendly and professional, and they went above and beyond when I realized I had left a medicine in the fridge — they kept it refrigerated for five days until I returned to LA. Truly great service, an unbeatable location, and a wonderful experience overall. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is centrally located and the room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly customer service at the front desk. They offer a nice happy hour and a coffee machine in the morning. Lots of dining options within walking distance, both for dinner and breakfast. It was quiet despite being right on Beverly Blvd. We have another upcoming stay later this month for a more in-depth procedure at Cedars. We REALLY appreciate the discount rate for patients. I highly recommend this hotel, not only for patients of Cedar Sinai, but for visitors to LA looking for affordable, comfortable and clean accommodations right in the heart of the city. Thanks, Elan!

• Mariah (8/5): - The hotel its self is very nice, quiet and clean. The day staff is very nice and attentive, the overnight staff it took us 10 minutes to find someone to let us in the hotel to park the card. The garage gate hit the front of our rental when opening there should be a sign or warning from the staff. The water pressure and temperature was not good.
• Guy (10/5): Wonderful WEHO location - Even though there was construction going on, it wasn’t intrusive. Very fresh accommodation and friendly and helpful staff.
• Froilan (6/5): - A/C blew air but did not cool the room. Hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay so facility wasn’t in the best of shape. Room could have been cleaner. No trash bin or hair dryer in the room. Staff was nice and pleasant. Parking was issue for me just because I have a truck with a rack so I couldn’t clear the garage height limit. Overall I give them a 4.5/10

• mrcalc (8/5): Elan - Very good value - New accommodations, reasonable prices, friendly staff, great location for Cedar-Sinai Hospital. We needed a nearby room while our child was at Cedar Sinai. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the hospital and it was convenient to get to. The room was a good size, though not as big as we normally get. The room was very clean and had a great style. The room was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Good size TV and plenty of power plug-ins for phones and other mobile gear. They have a good-sized workout room with equipment for those who want to get a good start to the morning or relaxing exercise for the evening. The negatives: Happy Hour was just a little wine and beer. No snacks as mentioned by their website. Unlike on their website, there is no continental breakfast, as others have reported. The K-cup coffee they supplied to the room had a terrible taste, and you had to use tap water to fill the coffee maker. Their fancy coffee maker in the main area was not working while we were there. The basement-level parking garage is very convenient and an elevator is provided. The hotel is close to the Beverly Center in case you want to shop while here. Ask for a second floor room if available. The first floor window looks out at a block wall and wrought iron fence for security. While all the staff members were friendly, Millie was super helpful for our late arrival!

• Judy (4/5): Noisy and Exhausting! - The room was not ready at check in, we had to Wait. We we’re tired from traveling so when we finally got a room my son tried to nap but the remodeling noises started up! There was a problem with the bathroom in the first room we were waiting on and never got, we needed two beds instead we received 1 King. And a Sofa. The sofa bed was not comfortable my Son didn’t get a good sleep. They were remodeling and the noise in our room was rediculous hammers banging and drills shaking the walls and waking us up very early we couldn’t sleep in after a night out.
• Ann (2/5): Awful Stay No Running Toilet - I was moved to 4 different rooms during my 3 day stay. The 1st had just been painted and the paint odor was awful. pant supplies were just outside the sliding glass door. Room 2 had not been made up. room 3 was acceptable. But later in the evening, the toilet was not working. I was told they would waive my parking fees for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Next morning was moved to room #4. Ran out of Toilet paper and took forever to find a roll. the worst offense was when someone else walked into my room. they had given my key to a new guest. Went to complain and when I came back to room my key did not work. Checking out, Oscar was quite rude. I asked for some compensation for all of the issues. Not only did Oscar not offer any, but said I should only have had 1 night parking waived. That was the last straw. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 5 years, but no more.

• Shlomi (3/5): No wonder it got lousy reviews.... - It was clean Hotel is shabby and under maintained. There was no habnd soap in the toilet. I received the "customer of the day" perk which was the two simplest bottles of water and the worst/simplest kind of cookies. Someone read the "how to satisfy your customers" guide upside down.... When I ordered via Booking a week before it was $250. On the day it was $167. Maybe for that price it would have been worthwhile but I should have gone to the Sofitel nearby for that cost.

The hotel is finishing its refurbishing with some details needing final attention, i. e. three items needing to use a two outlet receptacle. If we travel to this area again we will use this hotel. The tv remote needs an explanation sheet. We don't watch much tv but would appreciate seeing local weather and news

• OnAir58434281915 (10/5): Happy Surgery Recovery Patient - I stayed at Elan Hotel for 3 weeks recovering from surgery undertaken at nearby Cedars Sinai hospital. The staff were very accommodating and the location is excellent: central to the Beverly Centre shopping mall, bustling 3rd Street and its many fine-dining restaurants, Target, CVS, coffee shops, fast food outlets, casual dining venues including a wonderful Asian restaurant called Northern Cafe steps away, a convenient corner gas station with a variety store, a nearby dry cleaner/ launderer (the hotel also offers third party laundry service), and a fresh juice store, which I went to every morning. The Grove and Hollywood are minutes away by car. The renovations to the rooms are very nice for this gem of a budget-friendly boutique hotel in the vibrant West Hollywood community. Hopefully, they will improve the guest parking access to the small underground garage with some sort of remote system (at the time, the system in place was to call reception and identify yourself from which they buzz you in, which, on rare occasion could be inconvenient if the receptionist is on the phone, away from the front desk, or busy with a guest). If you are a noise-phobe, I suggest you request a room away from noisy Beverly Blvd. Overall, I had a lovely stay.

Our room is super clean and has this lovely fragrance that makes it feel so fresh and welcoming. Oscar and Barbara greeted us with such warmth and provided fantastic customer service during our check-in. The housekeeping team is just as friendly and helpful! The hallways and the whole property are really well-kept and spotless. Overall, it’s been a really comfortable and enjoyable stay—I’d definitely come back here again! I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a lovely place to stay, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away.

Sketchy fellas walking across the street at restaurants, no parking so parking on the street can be sketchy. AC only goes down to 67, barely feel it.

• nurssally (10/5): Perfect, just what we needed . - I had to stay near the hospital while my husband underwent major surgery. This hotel was perfect. Close by, comfortable and just what I needed to come back to to recharge every night. I wanted to especially thank Milling at the front desk for her kindness and hospitality and for checking in with me personally to see if I was doing ok. Although the hotel is currently under remodeling, it did not impact my stay at all. We will continue to stay at the Elan Hotel when we are back for follow up visits at the hospital.
• Benjamin (4/5): Rooms put into service prior to renovation complete. Wait til Reno's finished. - Under renovations. There was no restaurant facilities or breakfast. Iron in room but no sign of ironing board, room felt like it had been put in service before renovations completed as there was a recess for mini fridge however nothing in the recessed space. The sink plumbing in bathroom was horribly slow to drain. Odd policy for rubbish. Details of which were included in stay instructions. Overall an extremely expensive stay for an unfinished property.

Eve. When you try to cancel they will not honor. Very poor and not worth the hassles. The area is also questionable.
