- Wai Hung Philip (8/5): A very pleasant stay overall! - Excellent location — just a few minutes’ walk from Quarry Bay Station. The room facilities were great, and everything was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The room Wi-Fi connection is a bit too slow for a smooth experience, so I've had to switch to my iPhone's cellular data.

It’s very outdated, (my room wasn’t renovated like the one in the photos), so if you were paying top dollar and got an unrenovated room I could see you might not score it an 8 like I did. My room was an adjoining room and the noise from next door flowed easily through that door!

I may have received a discounted rate, but excellent place for what I paid. 5 min walk from the metro and a few handy restaurants outside the ones in the hotel. The pool looked great but didn’t have a chance to try it. I am all for saving the environment and can understand eliminating the toiletries, but no water? This is a basic necessity. Having a water dispenser somewhere on the floor and a jug in the room would make a world of difference. In the end, we end up buying plastic bottles and disposing of them anyway.

- Ned (10/5): - . I love that there is an MTR station about 90 second walk, a tram stop about a 30 second walk and a bus stop that has buses straight to the airport. . A nice bar area to have drinks. . A excellent breakfast spread. I really struggle to find fault. I guess the only thing was when I tried to exchange Chinese Yuan at the desk because I didn't have 100 they wouldn't do it. I totally understand why they don't want to do less than 100. That really is the only thing I could find fault with.

The staff was always friendly and helpful and always did their best for me. - Location was ideal as it was very close to the MTR and also close to the harbour front. Hotel accommodation was very comfortable but disappointed that we were not informed before that things like bottled water and other amenities would not be provided free but could be purchased if needed. I think that they should be made available free on request from the guests.
- Paradise305139 (10/5): My memorable experience in Hong Kong staying at the Harbour Plaza North Point hotel - The proximity from the hotel to the subway was just a short walk across from the hotel. All the staff were always friendly and courteous and they all spoke English so this made communication so much easier The room and bed was very clean and comfortable which made for well rested nights. We also ate at the Greens buffet restaurant for breakfast every day because we got good value for our money. The variety of items in the buffet were such we didn't have to eat the same items everyday. Sometimes we stuffed ourselves so much that we were able to skip lunch on that day Since this was our first time in Hong Kong the staff at the concierge desk always guided us to our points of interest for that day which made our visit to Hong Kong much more enjoyable. Hong Kong was the last leg of our Far East trip and I will say that it was the best even we didn't have a tour guide here. We were not under any time pressure when visiting the tourist sites plus we were able to make side trips that turned up surprisingly well. Not sure if I will return for another Far East trip but this one was so much fun

- Chereen (8/5): - Good location to MTR and the boardwalk. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We didn’t like the rooms we were initially given, and were moved the next day. We have been coming here for the past 10 years and the rooms are getting tired. They need to upgrade the rooms, the single beds are as hard as sleeping n the floor. We did not get the rooms we booked, with the view or bed size we asked for, however this was rectified the next day. It seems like it’s first come and you get the better rooms. Floor 6 was muggy and damp.

- Wing Mui (6/5): - The location is good. The staff did a good job in the daily cleaning of the room. The 3 in 1 shampoo, conditioner and body wash. This is the only 4 star hotel I have stayed that does not provide separate body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Moreover, the 3 in 1 bottle went empty in the middle of my shower. I had to wait (in cold) in the shower while my husband rang for a new bottle to be delivered and it took a while. I believe this must not be the first time things like this happened to their patrons. How come they did not come up with a way to prevent this from happening?

- Albert (7/5): - The hotel is in a nice location, very close to the metro, and tramway and next to the new beach promenade, which can get you all the way to central and beyond. The hotel rooms are rather big and have a lot of space, and they do have a very nice fridge. The beds were comfortable, and generally clean. There was a very nice gym in the basement which was way better than the average hotel gym. So first of all there is a very strong smell both in the hallway and also in the rooms. It's a musty smell kind of mixed with smoke, which makes it very unwelcoming. The WiFi coverage was pretty bad inside the room, once you were one meter in the room, it practically disappeared. Though generally the rooms were clean, there were some things, such as curtains that were apparently not washed for some time. All in all a 6.5

Even when I didn't need the room to be cleaned the cleaner passed by, you have to pay for robes, the WiFi isn't the best, I didn't receive any free bottles of water so remember to get your supplies in for the night.

The inclusion of a dedicated kitchenette, featuring a microwave and a functional hot plate, provided the perfect convenience for preparing quick meals or snacks without leaving the comfort of the suite. However, the true highlight of the experience was the bathroom; the deep, well-maintained bathtub transformed the stay into a restorative retreat. After a long day of travel, the ability to enjoy a long, relaxing soak added a layer of luxury that made the entire visit feel truly special.
- DMC-Spud034 (4/5): Tired - needs a complete overhaul. - We stayed as a family, 1 double room, and 1 twin room. On the website it looks like the twin room has double beds, they are not - they are two single beds that are about 6 inches apart - you cannot walk between the beds, they are almost together. We had Superior Rooms, which as far as I can see are the basic rooms. Tired decor, old worn carpet, and a shower that needed a good scrub! Good points: We had breakfast each day, which was quite nice. A very good selection of fruits, cereals, a mixed bag of hot dishes, an omelette station. It wasn't busy when we were there, so an enjoyable experience. Handy for the tube/train lines. There is really not much to do around the hotel, so we jumped on the train each day, which was very easy to navigate. Comfortable beds, clean bedding and good pillows. Bad points: The pool was closed for maintenance, we found this out when we arrived - this would have been a deal-breaker had we been informed prior to our arrival. There is no where to relax outside of your room. There are no seats in reception unless you are having a drink at the bar, but this is closed during the day and the seats are blocked off. There are very few other seats by the bottom of the escalator, but not many and certainly not relaxing. The Bar: We ordered 4 drinks, it took 20 minutes for them to arrive! They were just 2 beers and 2 Sprites - nothing exciting! There is a sign to say each table will get complementary snacks - we received a dish containing 2 small vegetable samosas, there were 4 of us!!! There was a very damp smell in the twin room, both outside the room and inside the room. There is just one dispenser in the shower containing all-in-one shampoo/conditioner/body wash! No one with hair rejoices when they see this! There are no power points by the beds, all the power points are on the opposite side of the room - we found this in both rooms, so assuming it a common design feature. The carpet in the rooms was completely threadbare - I would guess from the 80s. Conclusion: This hotel needs a complete makeover. I'm sure in it's day it was lovely, but that would have been some time ago, and now it just looks tired and dark. Not in the least bit relaxing. Would not visit again.

Hotel need some TLC. Room facilities are quite old and feels like things are falling apart. The twin room configuration is definitely not big enough for a family of 4
