Andrea (I hope I have spelt her name correctly) made the stay much better than it would have been were she not there. She was caring, helpful, keen to be of assistance and intelligent.
- Michelle (6/5): - Hotel has a youth hostel feel about it. Many stairs to get to room. There is an elevator but still had to carry luggage up stairs. Breakfast is nice.

Excellent breakfast, work of art dining hall for breakfast. Room is clean, very comfy bed and pillow. Has a hot water kettle and complmentary coffe and tea :)
- Peter (8/5): Great hotel-super location - Great, yet the front entrance is sadly hidden? Expect your cabbie to drop you off in a side alley beside the hotel. Very awkward and possibly dangerous at night.

- Zuraida (10/5): - The hotel is ideally located and within walking distance of many attractions. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. No air conditioning but the hotel provided fans. There could be an improvement made to breakfast as it lacks variety but it is adequate. The outstanding member of staff would be Petr who runs the outside bar. Welcoming and friendly, we spent a lot more at the bar due to his engaging manner. Overall, it was a great stay and we will be back.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside was rooms having no air conditioning. The lobby and dinning room was wonderful with awesome medieval atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered large variety of dishes to choose from. I would recommend this hotel!

The hotel decor consists of visually unavoidable very bad reproductions of suits of armour, crossbows, over sized human chopping weapons, guns and pikes. Not tranquil, nor peaceful, nor pleasant. Pretty distressing after a few days of having to look at it.

But the staff is truly the best, the front desk, housekeeping, and the breakfast buffet staff!!! This is the best hotel in prague and the location is perfect for everything!!!

- Angelika (10/5): - This hotel is a "must see". It is so quirky with all its suits of armor and knight themed interior. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've EVER had. You can eat there from 7 to 11 and there is always enough food and enough room to sit. The hotel has a big parking lot so we felt safe leaving the car there and walk the city. It's very conveniently located. Close to the river and close to the Karls bridge. The building itself is old but in decent shape. Room and bathroom were small but clean. The staff is amazing and super friendly. All in all a great experience and we would love to come back here!

- Emmanuel (4/5): - Well what an experience I read all those reviews of people complaining about staying below the lounge and thought they were exaggerating well they put us there the first night and was awakened at 6 am with footsteps and dragging furniture well at 7 got worse when the guest started going in for breakfast I told the receptionist that we need to be moved up and he was very nice and did move us up to a larger room but unfortunately that evening when we comeback there was a leak the lady at the desk was so embarrassed and apologetic but wasn’t her fault, anyway bad experience I guess you get what you paid for but that basement rooms would never should be rented to have people stay there

The check-in was very easy and fast, complimentary drinks were offered that could be enjoyed in a nice outdoors area next to the hotel. The area around the hotel is very green and walkable. The hotel is very unique and we liked looking at all the decorations. The breakfast was very good and the beds were the most comfortable out of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip. We will definitely choose this hotel during our next stay in Prague.

The welcome drink was a nice treat, and breakfast was extensive to say the least—everything from scrambled eggs, bacon & Belgian waffles to fresh fruit, veggies, yogurt (with about 15 available toppings) and even pudding. Something for everyone! When we checked out, we were even given a boxed brownie to take with us. Our room was a nice size for 3 people and we appreciated the bright en suite bath with hair dryer, magnification mirror and sundry items. In the room, we were able to open the (older) double-paned windows and let in fresh air. The room also had room-darkening window coverings. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast as others have mentioned is fantastic, so many options to choose from and plentiful, i didnt have to eat again until night time. Lovely medieval decor . Location was quiet and only a 10 minute walk from attractions. Staff very helpful and friendly and a nice touch was a free drink and handwritten welcome note in room from manager. Had a fantastic 3 day stay here and would definitely be my hotel of choice when i come back to Prague.

So is the overall design of the hotel interior. But the room itself, although clean and has really comfortable beds, could have been better arranged technically and aesthetically. Good service. I ate breakfast Saturday morning, my wife ate breakfast Saturday. But Sunday i was the only one who ate breakfast and the wife didn't. The front desk said that just because I requested two vouchers he had to charge me even if she didn't eat.

It it very close to everything and you do not need to use any transportation to go anywhere within Prague. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The hotel does not have an Air conditioning so if you are going during hot months it may not be the most cool place to stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - I really enjoyed the medievel decor and great buffet breakfast. However, what I did not like is the city of Prague. On our way to the airport, my wife and I were dragging 2 heavy suitcases and jumped on the front of the tram expecting to pay by card. I asked where the machine was, no one knew, I started toward the middle of the tram when I was stopped by ticket inspector. The short of it is that I was fined 1600 corona (800 per person) because I did not have my ticket ready to be inspected when he got to me. We had not even reached the first stop yet. Since that is the way I was treated, I will never return.
- Irina (10/5): A great hotel! - Kampa is a wonderful place! We loved everything about the hotel. The location is perfect, the old building has a lot of character, the breakfast is wonderful. Unfortunately we were in Prague during a heat wave so it felt a bit uncomfortable in the room even with a fan. But many old hotels in Europe don't have AC so this issue comes with the territory.

The agent told us we could move into a room with a single bed next day but we had no time to change the room. The room was very clean but it was small for 2 people. - Patrik (10/5): - Helpful staff. It was 35 degrees outside so it's hard to judge comfort as the whole town was boiling. Beds are rather stiff but I liked that. Lovely atmosfare, make sure you explore the are and not just only the other side of the river.

- Stefan (8/5): Ideally located by the river and Kampa Park - The hotel is located next to Kampa Park, close to the Charles Bridge and old town, but away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. It is also close to public transport. The hotel is clean, has an old world atmosphere, with a mediaeval style dining room complete with armour. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The unusual aspect of a pianist at breakfast is rather quaint. With all of this and the value for money, it is always our first choice hotel when visiting Prague.

The rooms are basic but clean, the lobby and restaurant are unusually decorated which added a bit of colour to our stay. Breakfast was good, lots of choice served by friendly helpful staff. Would recommend it for a short break.
- mike (10/5): Hotel Kampa - Hotel staff were very friendly. Room was comfortable and clean decor was quirky but effective especially the dinning area. Breakfast was good with a varied choice of food. Would definitely use the hotel again if I return to Prague

- Gin (10/5): Beautiful hotel - If I could give the staff here a 10 I would. They were wonderful!! Super attentive to their guests. This was by far the best place we stayed on our whole trip. 12 days, 4 countries, 9 cities, wish I had stayed here longer. Rooms are very small but the beds were comfortable and we weren't in the room much any way. We had dinner in the dining room and the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet the next morning had a piano player and fresh crepes. They outdid themselves. If you want a great place to stay in Prague this is it. I can't wait to go back and I will definitely stay here again. My whole family loved it.
- Audrey (10/5): Perfect location close most to most attractions - It is a great location close to all the main attractions (all were done by walking) yet on a quieter street. The hotel is charming, the staff were very helpful. There are numerous very good restaurants also close by: Alebrijes right across the street for mexican and the restaurant inside the Hotel U Krize. The dining room is perfect with its medieval decor and the breakfast was superb. So many choices and all excellent quality.
- Nigel (10/5): Central but not in the most touristy area - Nice restful location which was close to the river. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a great choice that could have fed us for the day. Many people might be negative about such an old building but the character and situation compensated for the quirky features like the tiny lift.

- Gene (8/5): Interesting hotel close to Charles Bridge - The hotel itself could use some updating. That being said it was clean. The rooms are a little on the small side but the bathrooms have been updated. There was a piano player at breakfast, which was interesting, and the breakfast buffet offered a very good selection including a chef making crepes. The hotel is located just as short 5 min walk from the Charles Bridge
- kevin (10/5): EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY - Hotel is located on quieter side of Prague. Trams very convenient nearby and takes about an hour from airport via bus, metro and tram. Hotel has amazing display of armoury in restaurant. Breakfast wide choice of hot and cold food. Probably the best I have had in Prague, particular mention must be made of the pianist who provided an enjoyable background. Wifi fast and reliable. Rooms have fans rather than air conditioning but windows also open so no problem. An improvement would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There comes a time even in Prague when you cannot drink any more beer!! Also checkout is at 11am rather than the more normal 12 at most other quality Prague hotels

- steve (10/5): Fantastic Hotel Kampa - We booked this Hotel last minute and were really looking forward to our stay as we'd seen the Hotel on Expedia previously and liked the look of the medieval decor. When we arrived I wasn't too happy with the 1st floor room looking out onto the street they gave us so I asked reception if they had any other rooms and without any sort of moans or arguments they moved us to a 3rd floor room looking out over the garden and car park area, which was much more private and quieter for us. We also asked if we could have another quilt to lay on top of the mattress as it was quite hard and my wife has a back condition, with in minutes room service turned up with a quilted bed topper, stripped and remade the bed. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the position is great as you walk out of the bar of the hotel into the garden then out of the garden and your in Kampa park, just turn left and walk for about 10 minutes and your at Charles bridge. Also in the street opposite is a New Mexican restaurant which we only found on our last night and stopped in for a beer, the owner was a great bloke, we had a long chat with him and he even gave me a beer on the house, he was from Mexico and had a really passion for his restaurant so please pop in and try it out and tell him a man from Kent advised you to, never know you too may get a free beer. Kampa has a lift which takes a max of 3 people but only service the 2nd and 3rd floors from ground floor reception. The Hotel was spotlessly clean.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent hotel and ideal location! - This is a fine hotel if you prefer to have some, in this case quite minimal, distance from the areas that are saturated with tourists (and tourist pricing). The short, pleasant walk to all the major attractions makes all the difference in your Prague experience. The hotel is creatively decorated; the staff we interacted with were superb! The breakfast was beyond adequate and had impressive variety. The dinner menu was quite exquisite and equally delicious! The only negative was that the bed was intolerably firm which ultimately resulted in sleeplessness and aches. Beyond that, however, our stay was both pleasant and enjoyable! We would stay there again without hesitation...but would request softer beds.

- Hiram (10/5): Hotel Kampa - Hotel Kampa is right by the park which is dog friendly for pet travelers and is in a great location for walking around and seeing the sights of the Prague 'Old Town' Depending on which room you're in, there is a lovely view of the castle. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and are knowledgeable about the city. The complimentary breakfast is full board from made to order pancakes through the gamut of breakfast dishes including the more European style of cold cuts and cheeses. It's become my "go to" hotel when visiting Prague.
- Jo (8/5): Nice hotel, fabulous breakfast! - This hotel is in a great location, a very short walk to Charles Bridge. The hotel was in a quiet street so there was no disturbances from traffic / restaurants / pubs. The hotel staff were all very helpful. The hotel rooms are very clean, but look dated. The breakfast was amazing; the buffet had so much choice and there was plenty of it. The staff were also very accommodating with our gluten-free needs. Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to others.
- sue (6/5): - The hotel wasn't as I was expecting being a 4 star hotel but as it turned out it was very good. The room could have been more modern but the small shower room was excellent. It had everything you needed in the right place. I slept very well for three nights. Breakfast was excellent. Good eggs and bacon. The best thing about the hotel is the position. Very quiet and you can walk to the Charles Bridge through the park. Castle, old town and New Town easily accessable via tram 22. Staff excellent, helpful and friendly. I would choose to stay here again.
