The staff were all very friendly. The complimentary breakfast buffet was enormous and delicious. We loved utilizing the tables that were right on the water. We were spoiled!

Very loud as the workers all yell to each other goes for at least an hour generally more. Understand the need to do their job but just a note. Good location for ferries and tea in. Lots of shopping close by and restaurant options. Breakfast buffet was really good with lots of options plus inside and outdoor dining available.

Staff was friendly and polite. I did ask about airport transfer and was only given two pricy options, I would also have appreciated something along the lines of "...also the bus station is a less than 10 minute walk with an express bus." That is my only ding...but I get it and it's more a buyer beware comment. I was there one night and I really loved the space and Venice!
- Juan Carlos (10/5): Great Family Stay at Hotel Principe – Venice - We traveled as a family and had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Principe. The location is excellent—less than a 5-minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station, which was very convenient when arriving and departing the city. We had two rooms. Although they didn’t have a canal view, they were bright, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. One day, we did notice a faint onion smell when opening the window, but it was a one-time occurrence and didn’t impact our overall experience. Breakfast was one of the highlights: very complete and varied, with fresh fruit, real-tasting eggs (not the artificial kind!), a nice assortment of breads, and a good selection of drinks. It was also included in our reservation made through Hotels.com, which was a great plus. The hotel has direct access to the canal, which allowed us to enjoy beautiful views and experience a traditional Venetian moment, with gondolas passing right in front of us. While main attractions like St. Mark’s Square are about a 40-minute walk away, the walk itself is enjoyable and a great way to explore Venice’s charming streets. All in all, a very good option for staying in Venice, especially if you’re arriving by train and traveling with family.

I really recomand the hotel to any one going there, even rooms prices are reasnoble.

It’s easy to get around, with restaurants, shops, and beautiful canal views all around. Plus, the rooms are spacious, and many come with a balcony.

The ac was NOT working when we arrived and the first night was like 90 degrees in the room. They finally fixed at late in the second day after I complained and told them I was gonna leave. I asked other people and many had similar issues and the hotel told them that their ac Was Working , when it clearly wasn’t !!! So good luck

Not super modern very fancy in a old way.It was a little lopsided which made me think that structurally it might be a bit funky, but then again we are in a city that is sinking.

We arrived via boat taxi so there is a port just outside on the grand canal which was v convenient. Room was v clean, comfortable with toiletries, fridge with mini bar and security box.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and most important in June, they have great air conditioning! The location was good, close to train station which is great as getting around with bags might otherwise be difficult. Our stay was too short but we enjoyed it greatly!
- Jean (10/5): - It is very convenient to the train station. The hotel itself is nicely appointed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and perfectly attended to by the staff. When we stepped out onto the balcony we were greeted with a with a beautiful view of the Grand Canal and all its wonder. There was also a lovely patio by the canal that we sat out on each night to watch the various boats and Gondal's go by. It was peaceful and relaxing, everything you could imagine in a Venice vacation. For breakfast they have an excellent assortment of pastries, fruits, cheeses, breads, cereals, along with eggs, meats, pancakes and more. The staff was efficient and friendly. The shower cubicle was a little small but was overshadowed by everything else. Definitely a place of wonderful memories!

- Jan (8/5): - The hotel is in a great location to access the station, water taxis from the hotel or on foot. The standard rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Our room had noisy air conditioning and turned off we could hear it from adjoining room. The rooms also do not have coffee or tea making facilities which I missed. We had breakfast each day which was plentiful and there is seating outside viewing the canal. There are plenty of restaurants outside and nearby. Overall an enjoyable stay.

However, I was surprised that there was no coffee machine or kettle provided in the room, which would have made the stay more convenient. Also, bottled water was quite expensive, which was a bit disappointing. Aside from these small issues, the experience was good and the service was friendly.
- Elena (10/5): - Excellent service, easy to check bags before/after stay and very easy access to the train line (which is a trade off for how busy/touristy this area is). Be forewarned that if you’re staying over on a Friday night, there is significant noise Saturday morning for multiple hours while the trash boat loads up numerous cart loads in the canal right by your windows. Beautiful views and service overall.

- Maria (2/5): - I checked in on 4/22 . The temp outside was prob in the mid 70’s . The room was super hot. AC not working. I called front desk. I was told per “City of Venice” they can’t turn on AC till May. All they can do for me is to give me a small portable fan. They can’t refund me either. I needed to keep windows open to get some air from outside but then with all the noise of water transportation in the canal I did not get sleep. What a nigthmare! This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Guess what,? On my last night 4/24 the AC was finally on. What happened to no AC till May? The front desk staff who I complained to was very rude. Will never ever come back to this hotel.
- Charalambos (10/5): A romantic stay - My room had a bad sewage smell. But the hotel were amazing enough to put us into a new room. The breakfast is amazing, it is a 4 star hotel, so any room you purchase, you will definitely get breakfast for free.

Terrace wasn’t open unfortunately but the building was nice, breakfast was good.

- Pushp (6/5): - We stayed in room 141 and the shower setup was bad. They only had a handheld shower and that caused the floor to get wet and everyday. Also the beds were not comfortable and the sounds of people in other rooms was too much. You can hear running water all night and also the room was small for $300 a night. Tv needed to be mounted on the wall as the table can’t be used without blocking your tv view. Staff was great and breakfast was good. Need bananas on the buffet. Also eggs to order would be nice. Tried to add a few days to a tour group stay and couldn’t get them to give me a discounted rate.
- Erin (8/5): - Easy walk from the train station. Lots of dining options nearby. Best part was that we had a junior suite on the Grand Canal. We had two balconies and it was magical watching the canal action. Bed was comfortable and we had two washrooms and a sitting area.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel near train station - Location from train station was ideal for this fantastic hotel. The property was beautiful, the room view of the canal was enchanting & the concierge was wonderful. He recommended 2 “off the beaten path” restaurants that were awesome (Casa Bonita & Agli Archi). I would definitely stay here again!
- Carlos (10/5): - This hotel was a dream. It is so worth it to go extra and purchase a room with a balcony and the view of the canal. Everything from the reception as soon as we got there to the amazing breakfast that they serve in the mornings to the Charming rooms this hotel was a true dream for me
- Yevgeniya (4/5): - A very disappointing stay. The room was cold with no radiators, one of the lights wasn’t working and there was lots of hair left by the cleaner after each daily cleaning. The bed was very hard too. The entrance area smelled strongly of sewage. I regret staying at this hotel as it absolutely not a four star hotel it’s claiming to be. There are much better options for a lower price in Venice.

- karl (2/5): - The location & all of Venice is beautiful. We love Ana, tour manager. She took good care of us & Carlo was the best bus driver we’ve ever had. He accommodated us & he’s has good mannerisms. However, the two men in the first hotel were humiliating us for no apparent reason. They laughed, targeted us as their next victims, gave us the worst recommendation for a restaurant which in turn also humiliated the owners of that restaurant. We’ve never ever been through a situation like that & we still have no idea why. I believe they’ve done that before & think it’s funny & harmless, however how would they feel if the table was turned the other way. Everyone else & the cities we’ve seen were marvelous!
- Eddie (8/5): - Breakfast choices was really nice. Hotel is really dated as expected. The first thing that met me in the lobby was distinctly offensive to my nose was the smell of sewage and toilet, literally. I said something about it to the bell boy. So, the following day, sticks of air freshener were all over the lobby.
- Steven (10/5): - Location was perfect, only 500 meters from the train terminal and our room overlooking the grand canal provided awesome views of the city. Plenty of shops and dining were within walking distance. The staff was top notch and were very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Venice.

- Beatriz (10/5): Gorgeous hotel in Venice, with an amazing staff! - The Hotel Principe is my FAVORITE hotel in Venice! I have been returning for years, and the staff is absolutely amazing.Yesterday was a last minute booking, and when I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Antonio, whose customer service is outstanding. I booked a canal room, and the room was beyond my imagination. It was so beautiful, I did not want to leave the room. Hotel Principe feels like my home in Venice, thanks to the amazing staff.

- QINGMEI (10/5): - Very beautiful hotel, nice view of the cannel river. Friendly and helpful front service crew. Nice breakfast, easy access to railway station and city bus( in Water) . Will come back to stay again.
- Michelle (10/5): Absolute must stay - I would absolutely stay here again, easy access with water taxi from airport and train station is close by. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast on the Canal in the morning makes a great start to your day.
- David (10/5): 1 night stay over - Property and staff was excellent, was looking for one night away from our cruise ship ported in Trieste. Good value and the breakfast was excellent.
