• Philippa (8/5): Astoria Hotel - Hotel was spotless, and staff were helpful. Very central lots of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Very quiet for most of our 4 day stay. Personally it would have been nice to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room as I love my morning hot drink in bed. Also it would have been nice if the terrace was open later in the evening. I think the gym was above us we were on floor 5 and was I was woken to the sound of someone on the running machine early Sunday morning!

• Barry (8/5): Very nicely run hotel in good area; rooms best with views or on high floors - The rooms with windows that don't face a lightwell are very nice. I was on the top floor overlooking rooftops and it was uplifting being filled with lots of light and having a view. The linens are terrific. The bathroom and its accessories are very fine. (I think they had the largest hotel bath towel I've ever seen ). I appreciated the artist gallery on the main level and the ample breakfast as well. It was nice to step out onto the rooftop terrace. I was first presented with the opposite of what I requested (having neither view, high floor, light) in a room that needed some maintenance. And when I complained, they offered me nothing (at first) I contacted Booking.com that the room was depressing. They reached out to the Hotel. [an hour or two later, on the next shift, a supervisor Joseph reached out to me to ensure I would be a happy customer, and gave me a room on the top floor which I enjoyed very much and is described above.] Their gym only has three cardio machines and a set of lower -weight dumbbells, in a very tight space so it's not good for a weight training workout.

Se puede caminar por la Rambla hacia el barrio Gotico (aprox. 2 km) Me pareció que el precio es algo elevado. Relación precio-calidad regular, pero tal vez fue la fecha o la demanda.

• Gordon (9/5): Very nice stay, and good value for this area. - The room was spacious and clean. There was a double bed, couch and comfortable sized bathroom. The location was great with many attractions within walking distance, and the metro access was very close and convenient. There were many very good restaurants in close proximity. There was no view out the window, only onto an inner hallway, but that was explained when I booked it.

Waterfall shower over the bath had good pressure and even temperature. Towels were generous size and high quality. Air conditioning was easy to use and extremely quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Room service was very clean, discreet and quiet. Don’t forget to visit the roof terrace! Some noise from the street (you’re in a city after all!) but nothing that affected us or our sleep. You could request a room on upper floors. We would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff at The Astoria.

Me costó que me acepten el pago con la tarjeta de crédito. Venia rechazada sin motivo y me llevo mucho tiempo la confirmación de la reserva. No sé si es problema del hotel o de Booking, pero fue factor de estrés en un viaje de relax.

• Pinar (7/5): - Πολύ καλή η τοποθεσία και η είσοδος του ξενοδοχείου. Καθαρότατη μετά από δεύτερη μέρα. Θεωρώ ότι δεν αξίζει τα λεφτά του το δωμάτιο που είχαμε εμείς. Την πρώτη μέρα που κάναμε check in το δωμάτιο μύριζε αποχέτευση. Την επόμενη μέρα η καθαρίστριες έκαναν πολύ καλή δουλειά και δεν ξανασυνέβη. Ωστόσο, αυτό που ήταν ενοχλητικό ήταν το κρεβάτι. Κουνιόταν πολύ με την παραμικρή κίνηση και δεν ήταν καθόλου άνετο.

• Filarska (5/5): I had totally different experience in Astoria in Portugal where the concierge was much nicer and the stay was much nicer - I like the Art Novo decoration in the hotel, however it lacked some extra atmosphere created by quiet music in the lobby and the bar. The food at the bar wasn’t always available in the evening….so most of the time the nice space was empty.. The rooms were quite small, and in the morning there was noise from repairing staff in the corridor …drilling and hammering

• Sarah (9/5): A lovely stay in a great location. - Beautiful, modern clean rooms in a nice character building. Rooftop pool was cold but a fun break for the kids. Staff were nice and responsive. The location was excellent. No chairs or anywhere to lounge in the room, only beds. Not a big deal but worth noting if you like downtime in the room.

Close to all attractions, plenty of places to eat and shop. Honestly nothing to complain about. It was a small space for two people.

Интерьерные решения отправляют в путешествия в эпоху модерна, на перекрестии 19 и 20 веков. В холле и залах на первом этаже удивительная выставка художника-рисовальщика из этой эпохи. Очень красивая лестница. Номера также выдержаны стилистически. Очень простые - ничего лишнего, все необходимое. Не очень большие, но для недолгого проживания прекрасно подходят. Чисто и уютно. Удобная кровать, одеяла и подушки. Мне понравился запах туалетных принадлежностей - геля для душа и шампуня. Белье и полотенца были белыми, чистыми и свежими. Окна выходили во дворик-колодец, но зато было очень тихо ночью, и мы прекрасно высыпались. Особенно хочу отметить завтрак - шведский стол, довольно разнообразный и богатый. Очень приветливый и предупредительный персонал. Я оставила сумку в ресторане - мне ее вернули. Нечего сказать. В этот отель хочется вернуться еще раз. Спасибо персоналу!

• Carmen (9/5): Tolle Hotelalternative in Barcelona - Haben das Hotel zu einem Schnäppchenpreis von Booking bekommen, weil das ursprüngliche Hotel unsere Buchung aufgrund eines Fehlers kurzfristig storniert hat. Die Zimmer waren schön und man hatte genug Platz. Die Lage war ok, man konnte in 5-10min wesentliche Busse und Ubahnen erreichen. Das Frühstück war nicht soo umfangreich, vegan war nicht viel dabei außer Obst, Gemüse und Weckerl. Es war überall sauber und am Dach gab es einen kleinen Pool (im Jänner natürlich eiskalt, also nicht genutzt). Das Personal war sehr nett, wir haben auch Regenschirme bekommen zum Ausborgen. Man könnte beim Frühstück mehr anbieten, zB Margarine oder sonstige (vegane) Aufstriche. Sonst hat es gut gepasst.

Немного огорчил мансардный номер на 8 этаже #830,окна открывается на стеклянную крышу спорт зала,утром слышно как люди бегают на дорожке и эллипсоиде. И в целом это не позволяет проветривать комнату. Мы были в марте,было комфортно,думаю летом будет очень душно,но есть кондиционер. Лифт на 8 этаж не ходит,только на 7 потом винтовая лестница на 8. Если не брать во внимание тот факт,что 8 этаж мансардный не очень в целом мне все понравилось. Действительно чисто. Удобная кровать,хорошие подушки и постель.
