- Dorothy (10/5): Lovely hotel in the heart of Barcelona - We had a lovely stay at the Park Hotel. The room was clean, well organized and comfortable. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel has a great location near many attractions — 5 minutes walk to a large park & zoo, 10 minutes to the Ramblas & Gothic Quarter, Hop On Hop Off tour stop right next door, 15 minutes to the beach, easy access to train stations & metro, restaurants & shopping all around the hotel. The only negative I can think of is that they only provided a coffee maker & coffee in the room. There was no way to make tea other than to go to the restaurant.

In heart of El Born, close to public transit and cabs are always sitting in front of hotel at night if need to go somewhere quick.

The rooms were beautifully modern and the air conditioning provided a great reprieve from the heat. The hotel bar/restaurant was also wonderful.

I got the standard room and I think it was perfect for a solo traveler. If I were a couple or a family I would definitely opt for a bigger room. All in all happy with that stay.

They did have a weird policy about only storing bags for people leaving vs arriving that should be revisited but they were kind and got our room ready long before the 3pm check in. If it had been longer, would have been rough with two kids hanging out in the small lobby. I’d recommend they utilize one of the rooms they are cleaning. Most people are happy to wait until 3 as long as bags are stored and often book arrival excursions that would be difficult to drag luggage along.

A couple of minor tired corners but 99% overall, comfy bed, fantastic aircon, nice products, friendly staff, great breakfast, nice pool area and has a bar. Very accommodating, we turned up early and they had a room ready for me within thirty minutes.

I walked to many of the attractions and to the beach too.! Was in room 223 and it was very quiet. The receptionists were helpful. I would stay again at the hotel!

You can walk to the Picasso Museum, Arc de Triomf, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Familia. There are several wonderful restaurants in the area. The only time I took a taxi was to Park Guell. That was too far of a walk for me. The hotel room was quaint and extremely clean. The staff was most helpful and considerate. I would definitely stay at Park Hotel Barcelona again.

The biggest downside is the bathroom door...there is no real sealed door (glass door with gap) so if you're traveling with others, there is no noise privacy in the bathroom. Only one side of the bed has power outlet too. Lobby is small and no real waiting area, so it was very crowded at check in and check out times. The location is perfect though if you're looking to visit the bars and restaurants in El Born. Would consider booking another if our usual spot across the street is sold out again.

The restaurant was great, breakfast was wonderful. Room was clean and had everything I needed. No coffee in room, but coffee downstairs in cafe and many around the area outside the front door. Staff were great, pool area was old, but nice to sit out in the sun. Good work area on the second floor. Spent most of my time out exploring and had a great hub to come back to. I will stay again for sure.

They send messages through a platform of chose (booking, trivago,…) to a mail of theirs and then redirect you to their scamming pay gateway. Avoid at all cost!

Raised complain with receptionist/manager, but she felt further harassed. Female safety should be important for all hotels. Loud noises in room followed by shouting and yelling by front desk staff. Would not go as a female traveller and will not suggest the same.

Staff was wonderful. However the cleaning staff were noisy and early in the morning. We enjoyed the restaurant. Ate breakfast and dinner there a few times. Wonderful restaurants all around. We would stay there again.

- David (10/5): - Perfect location for those wanting to be central but well away from the Ramblas. 3min walk to Barceloneta metro line, so approximately 1hr 15mins from the airport if travelling by tube. We were able to check in at 12.00, which was great, so straight out for some shopping and lunch. Only thing we didn't like was being charged to drink coffee & bottled water in the room. We therefore did neither! Overall, highly recommended for a few days stay, as also close to the Barceloneta beach, park & numerous attractions.

There wasn’t anything really bad about the hotel but there wasn’t anything outstanding either. If you are there for one or two days and just need to sleep in the room, then you are probably okay with it. Our room was a double superior and it was a tight fit with an awkward layout. We were there for 6 days at the end of a 3 week trip and it wasn’t a super comfortable stay. Linens etc seemed a bit dated. Again nothing really terrible but I do know I wouldn’t stay there again.

I stayed in a room with a terrace and it was so worth the upgrade.The terrace was large and overlooked the street. Did not want to leave!

Service was excellent and optional breakfast was great at a great price. Rooftop pool/deck gave a great view of the city and ample lounge chairs for relaxing for a self-supplied happy hour. This hotel was suggested bt Rick Steves in one of his episodes on Barcelona. I am very glad it took his advice. Surely would stay there again.

It was simple and clean, affordable. The area felt very safe, we were two 30 year old girls traveling— walked everywhere we needed to at all ours of the day and night. Very close to the beach! Would definitely stay here again!

Streets are lively through the night. The Italian restaurant next door is amazing. Aldi and lots of shops close by. The social club was a lifesaver. The Harbor area was full of tourist trap restaurants. The rule of thumb, if the menu is in multiple languages, the food is going to be lackluster.
- I2341EJcraigw (8/5): Pleasant Surprise in a great location - We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed. Room: Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable. Service: The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Location: The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient. Facilities: The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city. Food and Drink: We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out. Value for Money: The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities. Tips/Recommendations: This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer. We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.
- Explore06028308647 (4/5): Not satisfied with customer service and room hygiene - I booked the hotel through Expedia. When I reached out to them regarding early check in since flight would arrived in the morning. Normally hotels would get back within 24 hrs; however they never did. When I arrived the hotel at noon time, the concierge put me on hold saying “15 minutes”. But I waited more than 45 minutes to take me. After a whole day tour and dinner with a friend, I got back to the hotel room late that night. The room is rather small and smells weird. I really doubted that it could be 3-star hotel. When I went to bed, I found the bed sheet was filthy with sand, hair and a stained. That was gross. I went downstairs to find a concierge who was on duty. He tried to change a room for me but after he made a phone call to someone (who might be in charge) from their conversation in Spanish, they mentioned about how much I paid for the room then decided not to change a clean room for me. That was a very strange and unpleasant. They thought I didn’t understand the conversation. I paid €450+ for 3 nights; I didn’t expect this type of experience I got. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I hope they can improve customer service and the clean/sanitary environment.
- Rachel (4/5): - I booked the hotel through Expedia. When I reached out to them regarding early check in since flight would arrived in the morning. Normally hotels would get back within 24 hrs; however they never did. When I arrived the hotel at noon time, the concierge put me on hold saying “15 minutes”. But I waited more than 45 minutes to take me. After a whole day tour and dinner with a friend, I got back to the hotel room late that night. The room is rather small and smells weird. I really doubted that it could be 3-star hotel. When I went to bed, I found the bed sheet was filthy with sand, hair and a stained. That was gross. I went downstairs to find a concierge who was on duty. He tried to change a room for me but after he made a phone call to someone (who might be in charge) from their conversation in Spanish, they mentioned about how much I paid for the room then decided not to change a clean room for me. That was a very strange and unpleasant. They thought I didn’t understand the conversation. I paid €450 for 3 nights; I didn’t expect this type of experience I got. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I hope they can improve customer service and the clean/sanitary environment.

- ElizabethM4237 (2/5): Poor service from assistant manager - We booked for 3 nights, got to hotel after our late flight, unpacked to get ready to go out for dinner to find the shower tap does not move for cold water & then air con was not working, after the very helpful chsmber maid couldnt fix the problem we were told we could move rooms, we had to re pack, mussed our taxi & dinner ended up at 11pm, when trying to explain this to Marco he acted like he couldnt understand me when he could when we arrived, the second night the tv wouldnt turn off when going out, came back & it went back on without touching the remote, then tv wouldnt go on, after great help from Augustin it still wouldnt work so had to re pack & move to another room!messed our night up again! There diddnt seem to be a handy man, we were advised to speak to the assistant manager Miguel angel who was very rude to us, has worked there for over 30 years & doesnt seem to care we diddnt have a good stay & messed our plans up, he told us we diddnt have these problems, we are only looking for money back, wouldnt give any details to us to complain properly, gave us his email to basically ignore our complaint! Very rude man! No compassion, if the room was checked properly before we arrived then we wouldnt have went through that! Miguel diddnt seem to understand this & diddnt even apologise! Augustin did on others behalf’s!
- R (4/5): Great location but don't believe pictures!!!! - The pictures would have you believe there is a beautiful roof top pool. After a very hot day commuting to the hotel we just wanted to dive in. Reality: little bigger than a jacuzzi. Water green with algae... unable to see bottom... watched creatures swimming everywhere... aircon units next to 'pool' banging away... we lasted 10mins. My partner also got an infected wound on ankle which we believe is likely to have been caused be dipping into this water. Rooms were clean but we almost gagged on the strong smell of chlorine upon entering. Had to give up on aircon and open the window so we could breath. We spent as little time as possible in the hotel. It was a (good) base for exploring only...
- P8196UCss (6/5): Not like to get back to this hotel ever again : ( - Cleanliness is perfect. Room had a modern clean line design. It had a comfy bed and air con which is very important for relaxing in warm summer days, but there was something missing ! I cannot quite put my finger on it but for some reasons hotel was not comfortable for me at all! Maybe it was the decor, lighting, … or the unfriendly, overly serious receptionist ! Receptionist was polite but not friendly and welcoming which is very important for a receptionist; he did not made us feel welcomed at all! He was not informative, either. He did not tell us about places of interest around the Hotel like some receptionist do in other hotels, some even give you a map and patiently circle the most important sights to see, but he did not even told us what there was inside the hotel, let alone outside! He did not tell us there was a pool on the roof top or a breakfast buffet ! We found out about these in some hotel reservation websites later when we decided to find another hotel . we could have gone swimming or enjoyed the breakfast buffet during our stay if we were informed. Hotel is value for money being in a good location. in popular area of El borne, services and amenities such as pool and outdoor seating area . To sum it up, this is not the kind of Hotel I would like to get back to again . Whatever it was missing there, we found it all in Hotel Actual in Passeig de Gràcia. A hotel that felt more home than our home! We did not even want to get back home! If you are interested in Passeig de Gràcia area, please do read my review about it as well. - Katarzyna (8/5): - Great location of the hotel. Most of places are walkable from there if you are a walker. Otherwise there’s convenient metro station which we took from and to the airport. It is not that loud in the night as it has shutters which muffle most of the noise in the night. We loved our stay in Barcelona. Rooms could be more looked after and shower wasn’t cleaned properly so taking star for that. It was spacious which is really nice and we booked basic room. I would recommend to stay there.
- Rane (8/5): Fun in Barcelona - The room was great. Bed was comfortable,we had a large balcony, it was close to the metro, and the service was great. The area was fantastic, near the beach, numerous restaurants, bars and shops. The only reason I didn’t give it a 4 star on cleanliness was because the floor was dirty. It looked like it hadn’t been washed in a long time.
- steviehull (10/5): Brilliant hotel in an excellent location. - Hello, I recently stayed at the Park Hotel in Barcelona for the second time, my first time being in 2023. I can highly recommend this hotel for cleanliness, helpful staff, superb bedrooms, & a good breakfast. Also, the hotel is situated in a great location. Turn right & 15 min later you will find yourself in the famous La Ramblas just beyond the Christopher Columbus monument. Turn left and you will be walking through a beautiful park towards Gaudi's Sagrada Familiar. As an added bonus, the Train station is just 2 min across the road. After all, this was my second visit, so this hotel must be doing something right, otherwise I would be looking elsewhere for my accommodation. - judy A (10/5): - Conveniently located across the street from the Franco train station in the Born area of Barcelona, the Park Hotel offers access to many sights and sounds of the city, many win a short walking distance. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area, and a bustling nightlife is apparent, especially on the weekends. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the desk staff is most helpful, they provided us with maps, advice and always a smile. Beware the frosted glass bathroom doors though….we had a window in our bathroom, and the night lights from outside ensured us of a glowing bathroom door, not great id you like pitch black to sleep in.
