• 287rajputr (4/5): Three star hotel with difficulties for wheelchair users and baby carriages. - The hotel is rated three stars and offers a generally positive experience. Recently refurbished rooms add to the overall appeal. However, we encountered significant challenges due to the hotel’s uneven ground floor and numerous small staircases. These obstacles made it particularly difficult for wheelchair users and those with baby carriages. Additionally, the small elevators were inadequate for carrying luggage. Unfortunately, there is no alternative route to avoid the uneven floors. Despite helpful staff, it’s clear that the hotel is not well-suited for guests with wheelchairs or small children.

• shenaznoordeen (8/5): Review on the 3 bedroom,1 living room 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom apartment - We were able to attain a beautiful and clean apartment at a reasonable rate in a good, decent area. The staff are very helpful and speak good english and help in any situation. They are simply a phone call away and respond very rapidly. The restaurant is also open 24/7 and is also phone call away. There are many hotspot locations around us starting from tourist hotspots to very easily accessible supermarkets and restaurants. Orange and red line metro stations are walking distance from the residencies. The comfortability of the apartment exceeded our expectations. The bathrooms and rooms were spotless upon arrival and fully equipped with all the necessary condiments. All the electronic items, including the washing machine and fridge were fully functional.

The orange line metro station sukharevskaya and red line metro station krasnye vorota are minutes away. The location is very convenient. Necessary convenience stores are nearby. The apartment was neat and tidy upon arrival. Not to mention about the spaciousness of the whole apartment.The bathroom was clean and fully equipped with all the necessary condiments. The hotel staff are very attentive and speak english quite fluently. The housekeeping facilities are peerless.The reception is always readily available 24/7.

• demikour (10/5): Very nice stay! - Hello there! We would like to support this hotel in the hard period of pandemic. We had a very nice Moscow trip last summer and stayed at this Hotel! We remember what a great time we had – everything was excellent – our spacious room with a nice Moscow view, staff, food! We even played billiard 1 evening! And the location was extremely perfect – all we needed was nearby. I hope we will be able so to see once again in future, kisses from Malta!

Нам, приехавшим из за границы людям ,интернет был просто необходим для связи с домом и не только. Приходилось сидеть на мобильном , что известно совсем не дешево. А так прекрасные семь дней со всеми удобствами. При благоприятном решении этой проблемы,в наше следующее путешествие в Москву будем жить только здесь.

I was a little concerned when my original email was not responded to (I'm not sure this was received by the hotel), however as soon as we arrived my concerns were removed as staff were attentive, lovely and helpful. Breakfast was a smorgesboard of deliciousness with a great variety of options. Staff went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. One of the ladies at reception helped us when we were having difficulties connecting to the internet. The hotel is in a good location, with nice food options nearby, or you can venture into central Moscow in a short amount of time. I would recommend this hotel as a great option for a relaxing and peaceful stay in Moscow. I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10
• Montreal_traveller09 (8/5): Enjoyed the two stays - Stayed twice in December at the Volga as part of a large group. The hotel is an older Soviet-style building which has been renovated (and some floors are being renovated now), so the rooms are actually mini-apartments and the bedrooms are very large. The bathrooms were small but had all the necessities. I had a large fridge in the mini living room. Both rooms were too hot, the air conditioning did not work properly. Had to leave the window slightly open. Breakfast area is big and the food was good, especially the traditional cheese cakes were delicious. Coffee was also good. The location is excellent, the closest subway station (Sukharevskaya) is at 10 minutes walk, or 20-30 minutes walk to downtown. The staff was very friendly. There is an ATM machine in the lobby. The hotel has free Wi-Fi but did not use it.
• Ros (8/5): - Pros: - Good location: walking distance to metro (10-15 min.), to Red Square (about 30 minutes), museums and theaters. - Room (we stayed in "Volga" Suite): good space, clean. - Amenities: kitchen counter, full-size refrigerator, cook top and oven, dishwasher, washing/dryer machines, iron. - Breakfast is the best I ever saw in 3-star hotels around the world. Cons (to improve): - driveway to the entrance is closed with the bar from one side and blocked with a hotel car from another side, so guests can't stop at the entrance and need to take off the cars/taxis at the street!!! Not a big distance but it's unpleasant and unsafe. - sink faucets in the bathroom "yell" in some positions (likely old gaskets); - poor Wi-Fi signal in the living room and the first bedroom, very poor in the far bedrooms;
• CoventryCrusader (8/5): Great option for a bigger group - I have booked their biggest apartment (Deluxe) and it is great option for comfortable staying if you travel in a group of 3-5 people and plan to spend at least a few days in Moscow. A lot of space: massive living room, full equipped kitchen, utility room with washing machine and dryer - just to mention some useful aspects. Breakfasts served in the restaurant on the ground level are also OK, with a decent variety of food and drinks. Supermarket is on the same street, just about 2-3 minutes of walk. Location is also convenient, as the place is quiet and only about 10 minutes of walk to a metro and if you like to walk, you can reach Red Square in about 25-30 minutes. I am sure that you are able to find several cheaper options for accommodation but I can't imagine a better place for staying if your group is big enough (but not too big!) and you came there to explore the city.
• HariParmeshwar (10/5): Very good spacious room(s) and quiet neighborhood. Very close to the Metro and eating joints. - Friendly staff. Helpful always. Breakfast was sumptuous and had a variety to cater to the different palates of everyone staying in the hotel. Would love to stay there again as and when. The staff arranges Uber for you to go anywhere just in case your phones are not localized.
• 35simnl (8/5): Good rooms & facilities. Not to far from tourist attractions - This apartel had seperate air conditioned TV rooms, an area for shoes and hanging your coats. Bathroom come with long bath and hair dryer. The breakfast has a wide selections (probably due to high accommodation during the World Cup) The hotel is about 15-20 minutes by taxi or you can hail Yandex ( equivalent to GRAB) to popular attractions like the Red Square where the Kremlin museum, the Saint Basil Cathedral are located.
• Azizi (8/5): Nice clean apartment - We only stayed at this hotel for one night on our transit to St.Petersburg. The apartment was large and very clean with a good size kitchen and sitting room. The nearest Metro station was about 15 minutes walk. There was no restaurants or fast food nearby. However the train station to St.Petersburg was nearby.

• GrandlinkS (4/5): Service quality affected during WC period or seems like always that low standard way of handling queries? - I am totally confused with hotel’s way of communication. Being a business traveller for years and normally I will ask for luggage to be stored and back two days later after visiting a rural office. When I reached the hotel manager Anna refused my request and was told there is no exception to company’s policy of not allowing luggage to be stored for more than 24 hours! Anna barely speaks English and there was no one to do any translation. And that was after waiting for 30 minutes at the lobby with the bellboy (I cannot read his name in Russian but had his picture taken) shouting at something in Russian that luggage storage was not allowed and the atmosphere and situation was compelling enough for us to lung our luggage away and not stay with the hotel. Even the receptionists looked embarrassed. I was appalled as I am certain my secretary would have called and ensure this was allowed prior to the stay. However hotel claimed there must be a misunderstanding.

Walking distance to Leningradsky Railway station (fast train from Saint Petersburg, about 5-10 minutes) and into Red Square (about 40 minutes). Lots of pubs around for drinks and eating. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Had a living area as well. Fairly old decor but very clean and air conditioning in both bedrooms. Reception area a bit strange with steps up and down. Breakfast not the best experienced in Russia but sets you up for the day. Staff friendly and spoke English well.

• xazzo (8/5): Decent place, breakfast only average - Decent place some 2-3 kms outside the centre of Moscow (Red Square). Very big place. We had a nice, big apartment with a living room, fridge, tv, sofa and two separate bedrooms, so almost like staying in your own apartment. It worked fine and the reception was friendly and helpful. Only minus was the breakfast - although the selection was quite broad, the quality of the things was not great. Pastries were quite dry and hard, the egg/omelet was like a massive "egg block", and the "orange juice" (a true classic!) was just some very sweet orange lemonade which I don´t think has ever seen a real orange fruit. Internet was a bit unstable, but OK. Consider skipping the breakfast as it is close to worthless. The Eurospar supermarket 200 mtrs away have a nice bake-off dept. where you can get nice breakfast as well. It takes around 30 min. to walk into the Kremlin from the Hotel, and there is also a metro 10 min. away.

• MIGUEL (6/5): Good for its price - We arrived late and tired. The check in staff was a bit slow. Took our passports to copy them overnight. Felt odd and their English was not good enough to explain why much less give any suggestions on areas to visit. We had two rooms and one did not have an air conditioner unit. On the plus side, the apartment was big with a refrigerator and a spacious common area. One room was huge with the a/c. The second room was big enough to fit an adult but no a/c. Wi-Fi worked well, but I had to go back to ask for this since they forgot to give this to me at check in. Breakfast seemed good and had a long time offering 7-10am.
• J. (4/5): Desapointing - The building is outdated and with stains in the walls, the furniture is about 25 years old, and the sheets and blankets are old and ripped. It was uncomfortable staying there for two nights.
• 23ARJ (8/5): Convenient and good value for World Cup - The room was more like a small apartment, and was pretty comfortable and clean. The location is decent, within 15 min walking to 3 metro lines and some trams making it easy to get most places in the city. Air conditioning in the bedroom worked well and breakfast was decent. Only downside was that the website listed that they would do drycleaning/laundry and when we asked about it the service was unavailable.

• h_r_urp (8/5): Very happy with my stay - I’ve been very happy with my stay here. This is a no-frills apartment hotel but all of the staff and amenities have been nothing short of exceptional. I can easily recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a cozy place to stay while exploring Moscow. Many regular travelers will know that most hotels only provide you a single bedroom and a small bathroom. Our apartment provided us a rather large bedroom and lounge in addition to a large(ish) bathroom. It felt more like staying in an apartment than a hotel room and it cannot be understated how comfortable that is. I will heartily recommend this place.

• GourmandTrashPanda (8/5): Perfect stay in Moscow - If you are not into fancy and just want a functional place centrally located with space and a proper fridge, the Volga is for you. Sleep quality is excellent and the rooms have all amenities you need. Breakfast is ample and very good, and the proximity to a large supermarket optimal. Overall the best stay I have had in Moscow that does not break the bank.

• John (10/5): Nice people very nice hotel GREAT breakfast buffet - Stayed in one of the basic rooms, which was a three room suite! The sitting room had a coffee table, refrigerator, coffee pot, two comfortable chairs, a flat screen TV, and a work desk. The bedroom had a queen-size bed, nightstand, and another flat screen TV. It was clean and comfortable. I slept well. If you must, there was BBC and CNN news in English. I watched mostly Russian cop shows. The WIFI worked well, once the front desk staff showed me how to sign on. They were friendly and very helpful, and their English was much better than my Russian. The breakfast buffet was great, several juices, coffee, milk, Kefir (plain and flavored), pastries, omelets (with and without vegetables), sausages, rice, crepes, fritters, cold cereal, and more, and more! A small bar is available in the evening with a selection of good domestic beers. I don’t know how late it stays open. There is a good Georgian restaurant across the street and the Aprel Café two blocks away that has a Veal Stroganoff that was “to die for” good! There is a good supermarket one block away for anything you could want to fill your refrigerator. I stocked up on bottled water and fluids, but they also had a good deli counter and salad bar. The only location drawback is the renovations being done for the 2018 World Cup. There are some areas that require a little navigation adjustments and traffic is constricted in spots. The nearest Metro, Sukharevskaya station, is a half mile away. UBER is everywhere.
• Jarobinstx (8/5): Apartment for longer stays in Moscow - This hotel has a great location, near Prospekt Mira metro station and in an area near a number of embassies with great restaurant choices to keep you entertained for a week or more. The rooms are clean, fitted with relatively inexpensive scandinavian-style furniture. Kitchens have fridges and laundry. Good value. There is construction going on to add another tower, but generally this has not been disturbing to my sleep.
• Andrew (8/5): Apart Hotel Volga Review - This hotel is overall quite good but their Wi Fi wasn't working when I arrived which was a little inconvenient; however it was fixed a few hours later. Apparently it's a common occurrence. The duvet/doona was a single one on a double bed which is unusual and the bed had a metal frame which meant my feet got stuck in the gaps whilst sleeping as I am too tall for a double bed. The ATM in the lobby was convenient. The included breakfast was good and there is a 24 hour supermarket about 300m down the road. Overall it was value for money.
• daniiltimin (8/5): Nothing special, descent place to stay in Moscow - I stayed here for 2 nights while I needed to do some paperwork in Moscow. The room was spacious and it had a large fridge, but the rest is very basic. I didn't like the bed because it was extremely small and uncomfortable. Free breakfast was descent as well,nothing spectacular. But it's a plus that they even have that. Another plus is that I arrived early and they let me check-in at noon. That was nice. Location of the hotel is in the city center but it's far from subway stations. There are like 3 subway stations around but they all are like 15-20 minute walk which is not ideal.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good location in the city and bigger than most - We stayed inna kitchen apt for 4 days as tourists. English was available without severe issues. Our room was cleaned daily but didn't recieve much of a welcome vibe from most staff members. Each day we had breakfast buffet which was good, but not great-eggs, cereal, bread, hot chicken dish, fruit, etc. The Tv was small and the bed seemed small as well. The a\c was strong after a hot day walking around. But the biggest issue was the wi-fi. No strength to stream anything and had to log in every 30 minutes or so. 10 minute walk to the subway but easy to find. There is more cafes/bars in that area versus nearer the hotel. Enjoyed a live jazz bar nearby one night and even some donuts another time. Overall worth the money if location is high your priority list.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Volga is located just off the Garden Ring in Moscow and in close proximity to Metro and Train stations along with Bus lines as well. The Staffr was great and could not ask for more. I stayed here 10 nights over two different times while in Russia and would recommend them for anyone looking for a place to stay. Rates are reasonable for Standard Appointments/Rooms or Business Apartments as well. They have a full kitchen in each and private shower. The Business Appartment has a living room while the stadard room does not. My cost for all nights in both rooms came to around $70 U.S Dollars per night. It includes a free breakfast each night and has an onsite ATM which I would recommend.
• Dan (8/5): Very nice apartment, not bad hotel. - Very clean spacious comfortable apartment, so-called "European-style renovation" which Russians like so much. Means fresh and new, comfortable and neutral in beige colours. Well-equipped kitchen. Lovely traditional Russian cuisine breakfast. Hotel is average. Many little stairs on your way to elevator, no ramps - messy with heavy suitcases. Staff is not welcoming and slow. 20 min to check in. 30 min to get a bottle of water to the room. Receptionists do not say "hi" when you pass them. Neither do the cafe staff who looks annoyed that they have to work. Very slow to re-fill dishes. It does spoil the impression of the hotel. Cleaning ladies were lovely though. BUT they knock at your apartment at 8 a.m. to make a list of rooms where cleaning is required. So hang "do not disturb" on your door. There's a big construction behind hotel. If you're sensitive to noise, get an apartment facing the other side. 15 min to work from m.Komsomolskaya - ring-route metro station. Easy to get there if using Aeroexpress train which goes from all Moscow airports. 3 railway station at Komsomolskaya square - convenient if you travel further in Russia. BUT It takes much longer to get to the hotel with suitcases. No ramps anywhere. Btw, in Moscow there are lots of stairs in metro and no ramps - one cannot travel easily with suitcases.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Large Apartment Style Room - Having had some experience in old soviet style apartments I wasn't expecting much, but the hotel was a great surprise. Nice large rooms, kitchen and large living room. Furnishing was pretty good, and the kitchen had a washing machine! The Russian breakfast was a treat. Two 24 hour small super markets on the street a block or two away (no alcohol for sale past 11pm). Note, even though the metro station is about a 10 minute walk away, rather catch a taxi from the Airport Express train station or from the airport itself. Remember to haggle the price beforehand. If the taxi driver puts you on the clock you'll pay dearly. Also, when checking out, do not take the metro, you will be marked as an easy target with your luggage. Rather spend the additional cash on a taxi to the airport (again remember to haggle the price.) We negotiated 1700 rubles, but we had a Russian speaker and we used an unmarked taxi.
